A Song of Chaos

Moonlight examined the castle. She knew it was guarded on both sides and at the front gate. She figured the only way to get into the sculpture garden was to go through the castle. She slowly flew above the gate. And made her way through the hallway. She kept walking until she stopped. Two ways to go. Left or right. "Keep going. You are almost there." Moonlight heard the voice again. This time it was louder and she could hear it better. She knew that voice. "Discord?" She asked quietly in the hall. The voice spoke again, "Yes my dear now hurry!" Moonlight quickly rushed down the right hall and came across many stained glass windows. One of them showed Luna and Celestia turning Discord to stone. Moonlight gasped but kept running. She found an exit and rushed outside. She looked in front of her, she was in. Now all she had to do was find Discord. She looked at each of the statues and made her way towards the middle of the garden.

Right after Moonlight had left Star Dim told Discorded Swirls to follow her. They were getting very nervous about her. Towards the end of the day, Discorded came back and said she was going to try to get in to the garden tonight. Star Dim told her to get all the girls and bring them to her place. Just as the moon rose in the sky for the first time in the sky the girls all came rushing in. They all looked out the window and saw Moonlight quietly flying by. Everypony was asleep now so after Moonlight past the shop the girls followed her very quietly. They watched Moonlight fly quickly over all the houses. Soon they saw her fly right towards the castle. Then she hid behind a bush nearby. There were four guards at the gate! Then Moonlight slowly flew up and over the gate so the guards would not see her. Star Dim just teleported them all with her magic. Then they saw Moonlight running down a large hallway. They quickly followed her. Then Moonlight stopped. She had two ways to go left or right. Suddenly the saw Moonlights ear perk up. She looked around as if she heard something. "Discord?" Moonlight asked. The girls all looked at each other. They could not hear anything. They watched as Moonlight listened and then she rushed towards the right hallway. The girls quickly followed behind. They quickly ducked behind the wall as Moonlight stopped. Chocolate Pie almost bounced right into Moonlights sight but Crazed Candy quickly pulled her back. They watched as Moonlight looked at a stained glass window. It was of Celestia and Luna turning Discord to stone. They watched as tears began forming in Moonlights eyes. But then she got up and kept running. They quickly followed her as she found a way outside. They hid behind the statues as she made her way towards the middle of the garden. Then she stopped. They watched as Moonlight came to a familiar statue. "Discord." Chocolate Pie said. The girls nodded in reply.

Moonlight looked up at the statue. She felt like crying again. Moonlight quickly perked up. She heard........music. It was very soft but it fascinated her. It sounded so calm and so familiar. Moonlight did not know what to do. But she slowly began speaking and as she continued she began to sing. "So there you are, Discord. A statue oh so cold so dead, you tore their world apart. And everypony lost their head. Now I must carry on making chaos for you instead. Because you, are the Lord of Chaos Discord. And I am a part of you." Moonlight stopped now she knew she could hear music. It was getting louder. It was so pretty. She began crying and said, "I miss you Discord." Then she heard a laugh she looked up. Discord could hear her.

All of the girls were watching Moonlight. Then they heard music. "Do you hear that?" Cotton Feathers asked. They all nodded. "It is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. Where is it coming from?" Chocolate Pie said. "It's not bad." Discorded Swirls said. But in her head she wished it would not stop playing. They looked over and they saw Moonlight singing. "Is Moonlight.....singing?" Chocolate asked. Crazed Candy put a hoof in front of her mouth and said, "Shh! Listen." They all watched as Moonlight sang to the statue. Then she began crying and said, "I miss you Discord." Then they heard laughter. Dark, quiet laughter. Moonlight turned around. "Is that Discord?" Star Dim asked. "I think he can hear her." Crazed Candy said. "Girls look!" Cotton said. They looked back at Moonlight and noticed something. The statue was cracking.

Moonlight looked up at Discord. She heard him laugh. Then her eyes widened as she heard Discord. "Please do not cry my dear. I am still very here. And when I do bust out. We can respread the random fear. Our joy will be their pain, as their world drowns in chocolate rain. Because I am the Lord of Chaos Discord. And you are a part of me."Moonlight was amazed. He was talking to her....no not just that, he was singing to her. Moonlight slowly watched as the statue began to crack and break apart. Moonlight watched as Discord flew off of the pedestal he was standing on and stood right in front of her. "Discord! Is that really you?" Discord slowly nodded. Moonlight flew up to him and hugged him. She was so happy she wanted to hold on to him and never let go.

"Discord is breaking free!" Chocolate said. "I can't believe it!" They all watched as Discord flew off the pedestal and down towards Moonlight. They looked like they were talking, and after a while they saw Moonlight hug him. "It's amazing! Impossible!" Crazed Candy said, "When it comes to Moonlight and Discord, nothing is impossible." Star Dim said. They all watched as Moonlight let go and she began flying around him and began singing again. The music they heard was getting louder. They watched as the two sang to each other. The entire thing combined was the most beautiful sound any of them ever heard. Moonlight looked so amazed and happy. As they began to slow down and everything got quiet, the girls moved closer and listened to them talk. After a while they heard Discord say, "I need you to give me some of your magic."

Moonlight heard the music. It was getting louder. Slowly she let go of Discord , he said, "I can not stay like this for long my dear. But I have something you must listen to." Moonlight nodded, she was just glad to see him again began to sing again, this time she sang about the past and the times that made her happy. "Remember that one time, you showed me what my magic could do, I got my Element." She watched as Discord smile, "And things were never quite the same." Moonlight began singing again and this time she heard Discord sing with her, "My wild magic grew, driving the ponies all insane. Because you are the Lord of Chaos Discord. And I am a part of you." For a minute they were both silent then Discord said, "Oh simple spawn of mine, without you I would be so lost. You have stuck by my side." Moonlight said, "No matter what the tragic cost, my crazed imagined thoughts, have given you a new found strength. Because I am the Element of Chaos. And I will break you out of there." Moonlight slowly stopped. She slowly flew back down to the ground. Moonlight asked him, "How did you get out?" Discord said, "It was you. But I can't stay like this much longer. I was able to gather enough magic to get out but it won't last forever. I hate seeing you like this. I may have come up with a solution to fix it but I require one thing." Moonlight looked up at him and said, "What do you need?" Discord looked straight into her eyes and said, "I need you to give me some of your magic."

A Moonlight Night

Moonlight Chaos looked up at Discord. "What do you need my magic for?" Moonlight trusted Discord but she was very concerned. She slowly looked up at the sky as Discord replied, "If I am going to see you again, I will need the power to do so." Slowly Moonlight stood up and aimed her horn at the ground, a glowing ball of light began to form and slowly it got bigger. Then it suddenly burst and streams of light flew everywhere. They slowly began to leave behind a small trail as they quickly swirled around Discord. Then the light slowly faded. Moonlight slowly looked up and asked, "Did it work?" Discord looked at her and replied, "Yes it worked, I feel much stronger. I don't know why you wouldn't think it would work, coming from someone of your talent." Moonlight blushed. "I can't believe what has happened tonight. I wish it could be like this every night." Discord looked at her as she looked at all of the statues in the garden and said, " As do I. Unfortunately that can't be the way things happen. Just promise me something." Moonlight looked at him, "What?" Discord looked down at her for a moment. He recognized that look, it was the look she gave him when she first met him. A look filled wonder and amazement. " Promise me you won't spend all this time alone. They are at least here with you." Moonlight nodded. She noticed Discord was getting closer, the two both came so close to each other they were almost touching. Suddenly Discord's eagle claw began to turn white and began to harden. He was turning back to stone. Moonlight's eyes shrank in horror. Watching him being to turned to stone the first time was not as bad. She had not been looking most of the time, but this time, watching the stone creep over his body slowly turning everything white, hard and lifeless was scary for her. Discord slowly flew back up to the pedestal he had been standing on moments ago just as his wings were turned to stone. "I am sorry I can't stay much longer, try not to worry about me too much." Moonlight watched as the stone rose up towards the rest of his body. After a few moments everything was quiet. "I'm sorry too." Moonlight said. Then a single tear fell from her eye. Then she slowly looked up. It looked like the moon was almost gone. They had spent almost the entire night together. Moonlight glanced up at the moon. She watched as its light flickered in the distance.

"I have never seen Moonlight so cheerful after Discord was turned to stone." Crazed Candy said. The girls all watched as Discord and Moonlight talked all night. Just then Chocolate Pie noticed something, "Um girls.... I think something is happening with Discord....." Cotton Feathers and Discorded Swirls gasped. "He's turning back to stone. We have to do something!" Discorded said, she was just about to fly towards them when Crazed Candy grabbed her by the tail. Then she shook her head. "There is nothing we can do darling." Star Dim said. Just as they watched as Discord was turned completely to stone once again they saw Moonlight look up at the sky and smile. "Wait, is she actually..... Smiling?" Cotton Feathers said. Chcolate Pie smiled and walked over to her. The girls just shrugged and followed behind.

Moonlight was getting ready to lay down when she heard hoof steps. She turned around and saw her friends walk up to her. "What are you doing here? How did you get in? Were you.... Watching me?" Chocolate walked over to her and said, "You bet we did! We followed you in!" Then she stopped and said in a sad tone, "Sorry about Discord though." Moonlight turned to all of them, " So you saw......EVERYTHING?" Crazed Candy replied, " We certainly did. And I will say, you certainly looked like you were enjoying yourself." Moonlight smiled a little and then laid down right in front of Discord. "Darling do you want to come with one of us?" Moonlight opened one eye and said, "No, I think I'm fine. And after what happened tonight I think I can manage this time." The girls all watched as Moonlight slowly fell asleep. Chocolate Pie bounced right over and fell asleep next to her. Soon Cotton Feathers and Crazed Candy joined them. Then Discorded Swirls looked at Star Dim and then walked over to join them. Star did not like sleeping on the ground, but the grass felt so soft and the breeze was just right. Star used her magic to bring a blanket and placed it on the ground. Slowly she curled into a tiny ball and shut her eyes.

Draconequus Dreams

Moonlight was standing in a world of chaos. It was amazing, cotton candy clouds everywhere, buildings tipped everywhere, it looked better then the last time she had seen it. Standing right in the middle of all of it was Discord. Moonlight rushed towards him, as she got closer she ran faster. Eventually she gently knocked him over and hugged him. Then she quickly got up. She looked nervous. Discord got up as well and gave her an annoyed look. Moonlight looked a little scared. Then he grabbed her with his tail and pulled her back. Moonlight laughed a little and then said, "I thought you were still turned to stone." Discord said, "What? That is no excuse as to why I can't see you while you are asleep." He let go of her and pointed towards Equestria still in chaos. "I hope you like what I've done with the place." Moonlight took a while a gazed at it and then said, "It's amazing. You have really out done yourself. It looks even better then last time." Discord smiled and said, "Then I think you will really like this." His lion paw began to glow and then two statues appeared. It was Luna and Celestia. Moonlight looked at them for a moment and then began laughing. "You did this? This is priceless." While Moonlight was laughing her horn began to glow, then different objects and clothing appeared on them. Now it was Discord's turn to laugh. One look at them and the two broke out into uncontrollable laughter. When Moonlight started to calm down she asked still trying not to laugh, "Is this something we can do often?" Discord continued laughing but then answered, "Actually this is something we can do every night. Going into your mind is much more simple then trying to break out of a stone body." Moonlight looked at Luna and Celestia again and laughed. Then she said pointing towards Equestria, "Shouldn't we enjoy all this first. This looks like fun." Discord pretended to think about and then said, "Why not? But before we do that, I have one more thing to show you." Moonlight replied, "What is it?" Discord pointed his eagle claw behind her. When Moonlight turned around she saw her friends walking up to her. "You brought them here too? You are too amazing!" Discord picked Moonlight, he messed up her mane. "Anything for my favorite pony."

Moonlight, her friends, and Discord were all enjoying themselves. They were watching other ponies in their misery. When the sun quickly took place of the moon Star Dim said, "You all have no idea how much I have missed the sun and moon doing that." The others laughed. Cotton Feathers said, "Oh I think we know." Chocolate Pie said, "Well I think I am going to go have some fun!" Discorded Swirls called out, "Hey Chocolate! Wait up! I'm coming too!" Star Dim looked at Cotton Feathers and Crazed Candy and said, "Would you two care to join me?" Cotton and Crazed nodded. Moonlight looked up at Discord and said, "It looks like it's just you and me now. I hope they all have fun. Do you have anything planned?" Discord smirked and said, "As a matter of fact, I do. Come with me." He grabbed Moonlights hoof and flew off with her.

Chocolate Pie and Discorded Swirls were busy having fun with their pranks and jokes. They had grabbed all of their things and combined them together. They were having more fun then before Discord was turned to stone. "This is awesome! I can't believe Discord made all of this. You are really making this fun for me Chocolate Pie." Discorded Swirls said. "I know! Discord really likes seeing Moonlight happy. This IS really fun!" Chocolate Pie replied. Then Discorded and Chocolate looked up to see Moonlight and Discord flying over them. " Where are they going?" Discorded asked. "I have no idea! But I hope it's fun! But then again you are right, where ARE they going?" Chocolate responded.

Star Dim, Cotton Feathers, and Crazed Candy were talking to each other as they were busy making fun of other ponies. Crazed Candy was busy helping Cotton Feathers when she said, "This sure is fun y'all. It's only been two days since chaos vanished in Equestria and I am starting to miss it already!" Star Dim laughed and said, "Sorry Crazed. Moonlight beat you that. She missed it the second it was taken away." Cotton nodded and added, "She loves chaos. And Discord. Maybe even enough to marry him." Star Dim and Crazed Candy immediately turned around and gave her surprised looks. " Lighten up! I was only joking! But it is a possibility." Cotton said. Star Dim looked at Crazed Candy. "It could be...." Then they all looked up and saw Discord and Moonlight flying over them. They were going extremely fast. " Where are they going?" Crazed Candy asked. Cotton began to fly towards them, "We're about to find out." She began running when Star Dim stopped her. "Let them have a little time alone. Spying on them last time did not do much good last time. Besides by the look of how fast they are flying, I would say Discord has something important planned." Crazed Candy looked up at the two. "Discord is holding her. Look." Cotton and Star both looked up. Discord was holding Moonlights hoof. Even though she was flying she was not going very fast. She was flapping her wings slowly. Discord on the other hand was going much faster. He was almost pulling her through the air. "Maybe we should leave them alone for a while." Cotton said. Crazed Candy and Star Dim laughed.

Moonlight did not know where they she was being taken. But she was enjoying flying with Discord. Every once in a while she would look down at everything. He made all of this for her. He did it to make her happy. She saw Chocolate Pie and Discorded Swirls. They were busy having fun with all of their jokes. Then they passed Star Dim, Crazed Candy, and Cotton Feathers. They were busy enjoying themselves too. Though she wanted to join them, she liked having some time with Discord all to herself. This reminded her of the first time she had gotten rid of Dark Chaos. Her extremely dark counterpart. They had many things in common but unlike Moonlight, Dark Chaos had wanted to destroy the Elements of Chaos, she had wanted to destroy Discord. The first time Moonlight defeated her. She had noticed that the Discord and Moonlight she had seen in her dreams looked like they were together, maybe even.... Married. When the first left they had looked so close to each other. Moonlight wondered if she and Discord would ever get as close as they looked like they had gotten. Moonlight had already told Discord she liked him. Loved even. She knew Discord liked her, but maybe not in the same way she liked him.

Discord loved being around Moonlight. Every so often he would look down at her to see her looking at everything. She amazed him. How she loved chaos as much as he did, how she loved his magic, and even how she loved him in general. For now he was just grateful she was happy. He hated seeing her upset. Just thinking about it reminded him what happened when Moonlight ran away from him. For once it had not been because somepony was afraid of his appearance. It was out of sadness. That truly had been one of the worst days of his life. Eventually her friends had found her and he brought her back. That was when she told him she loved him. It was hard for him to imagine somepony could like him....but love him for who and what he was? That was a completely different story. Where he was taking her he wanted to be alone with her. "How is it possible for somepony like you to exist?" Was what he was constantly thinking. He had her and he was going to keep it that way.

A Gift of Love

"We have been flying for a while. Where are you taking me?" Moonlight asked, Discord had told her he had something for the two of them and she wanted to know where they were going. Discord replied, "Nice try missy. But I can't tell you." Moonlight said, "Why not?" Discord looked at her and said, "You'll find out soon enough. We're almost there." Eventually they went past the outskirts of the town and flew over a forest. Then they came to a tall mountain and there was a small space on the side. When Discord stopped he slowly pulled Moonlight down. Moonlight folded her wings and asked, "Why did you take us here?" Discord replied, "For this..." He snapped his claw and the moon quickly came up. Followed by the stars. "First I want you to make something out of the stars." Moonlight asked him, "What should it be of?" Discord looked at her and said, "Anything you want." Moonlight thought for a while and then used her magic to arrange the stars into the shape of a cotton candy cloud raining chocolate milk. Then she added a bit more magic to make the star raindrops appear as if they were actually falling. "Very impressive." She heard Discord say. Moonlight turned back to him and said, "Why did you need me to do that?" Discord replied, "Because you are going to tell me something." Moonlight looked a little nervous and walked towards him. "Answer what?" Discord brought his loin paw up her face and forced her to look him in the eye. "What do you see in me?" Moonlight looked a little confused. "What do you mean?" Discord brought her closer. "How is it you are the only pony that sees me differently? How do you see my magic in a different way? What makes you love me? Tell me." Moonlight slowly gasped. Then she said, "Because you came to me. Out of everypony in Equestria you came to me. You were the one who showed what my magic was capable of doing. There is no regular stallion that could show me that, because they were not like me. They don't understand. But you a smarter, you are more powerful, you know what I feel like. Because of you, look where that has gotten me now. I have you, I have my friends, and I have my magic. That is all I need.I don't need anypony. You are the only one who comforted me, who did anything to make me happy. It's not any regular stallion I grown to love. It's you." Moonlight walked over to him and said, "Thank you for doing all of this for me." Discord just stared at her for a while. Then he said, "You are the most amazing pony in this world. You are my Moonlight Chaos." Moonlight hugged him and said, "I love you." Discord said, "I think I love you too."

Moonlight slowly woke up. She looked up at the sky. The sun was shinning brightly. Moonlight noticed everypony was waking up as well. "That has got to be one of the coolest dreams I ever had." Discorded Swirls said in a very tired tone. "Indeed, it was quite exciting." Star Dim said. Crazed Candy pointed towards Moonlight and said, "Moonlight, I think Discord left you something." Moonlight looked down in between her hooves. She was holding what looked like a plush toy. It looked exactly like Discord. She looked at the statue and said, "Thank you." Chocolate Pie looked up at her and said, "Moonlight, what were you and Discord doing?" Cotton Feathers added, "Oh yes! We cannot forget that. Tell us Moony." Cotton had used her very rude tone when she said that. They were up to something. "Oh nothing much! He just took me somewhere." Discorded was not convinced. "And...." Moonlight looked a little nervous, "And we talked for a while." Chocolate Pie leaned close to her. "And....." Moonlight was starting to get nervous, did they really need to know that Discord was in love with her? "And we talked about something...." It was Star Dim's turn, "And....talked about what darling?" Moonlight began to curl up. She looked nervous she spoke so quietly nopony could hear. Crazed Candy stepped towards her. "We can't hear you sugarcube speak up!" Moonlight was about to shriek and tell them they didn't need to know when she heard Discord. "Don't worry...... There is no reason to feel nervous, I'll be with you." Moonlight sighed and began to relax. "Alright, thank you." Even though her friends looked confused. "I told him I loved him." Chocolate was just about to say, "And.." When Star Dim put her hoof over her mouth. "Chocolate stop it. Let her finish. We were being very rude to force her to talk so suddenly." Moonlight looked at the toy in her hooves. It was so soft and so real. She squeezed it gently and smiled. "And he told me he loved me back..." The girls gasped. "I so knew it!" Discorded said. "Wow! This is so amazing!" Chocolate squeaked. "That is wonderful. But for now, would you like to come with one of us? Ponies will be coming soon." Star Dim said with worry. Moonlight thought about it. "Alright, I'll stay with Chocolate for today. If that's alright." Chocolate bounced in the air. "Yes! I get to have time with Moonlight! Why don't you all come to my place? I can make some fresh muffins for us?" Crazed Candy smiled. "That sounds delicious." Cotton Feathers smirked. "How wonderful, we can all talk then." The girls all followed Chocolate out of the sculpture garden. Moonlight looked up at the statue and said, "I'll get you out....eventually." Just then she heard Chocolate. "Come on Moonlight! Lets go!" Moonlight slowly turned around and walked out of the garden when she found them all inside the castle waiting for her Chocolate said, "Are you taking that with you?" She pointed to the toy Moonlight was still holding, "I think I am. It's special." Moonlight said. "Okie dokie lokie!" Chocolate said. They all slowly walked out of the castle and prepared for another day.

Anger and Fear

Chocolate Pie was nervous. "Is the room good enough? Is the light too bright? Do you need another blanket?" This was the first time Moonlight was staying with her. She really wanted everything to be perfect. Moonlight walked around and said, "I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine. And to answer your questions, the room is fine, the light is not to bright, and actually...I could use another blanket." Chocolate zipped out of the room and returned with a fluffy, lavender blanket. Meanwhile the girls were busy watching. "Next Moonlight wants to stay with one of us, remind me the last pony she goes to is Chocolate." Discorded Swirls said. "Indeed, but she at least is taking this job seriously." Star Dim replied. "A little too seriously if you ask me." Crazed Candy added. Now Chocolate was asking all different questions about the blanket, "Is the blanket too small? Is it to big? Is it too purple? Would you prefer...." Moonlight gently put a hoof over her mouth. "Shhh. Chocolate everything is fine. Can we try to enjoy the evening without any more difficulties?" Chocolate Pie stared at her blankly. "Okie Dokie Lokie! Let's have some fun!" Cotton Feathers said, "I think we should all go out and cause trouble. All this peace and harmony makes me sick." Everypony except Moonlight nodded in agreement. Star Dim noticed and said, "Moonlight you are coming with us. And you can't hide behind Discord this time." Moonlight looked nervous and turned a pale color. "I....can't.....I..." Moonlight tried to speak but was interrupted. "No excuses. Discord is not here. You can't hide behind him forever." Moonlight started getting angry and said in a louder voice, "Yes! He is not here. And it's because of that I can't. You just don't understand do you?"

Moonlight was getting mad. Star Dim said in a stern voice, "What do we not understand?" Moonlight was so twisted in her anger and fear she could'nt controll herself and almost began to yell. "That he made it safe! After you brought me back when I ran off, I did not want to leave him again. Or you. I never left because I was afraid if I left for any reason. I might get angry again and hurt you. He made it safe for me. The world was still in chaos! Luna and Celestia were not after him! But now the world is in harmony, Discord has been turned to stone and like you said, I have nopony to hide behind anymore. I can't feel safe anymore. Discord told me to stay hidden, so Luna and Celestia would not find me. I can't leave. Especially when I feel so scared." Cotton Feathers put a wing around her. "But you said you would free him eventually. And you will..." Moonlight got angry again. "You do not know that! I could try one hundred times to free him and I could fail all one hundred times! What if I can't ever really see him again?" Discorded Swirls saw Cotton Feathers looking like she was going to cry. She flew in front of her and said, "Hey! Leave her alone!" Moonlight smirked and said in a scary tone, "Oh really? And who is going to make me do that?" Discorded looked a little scared and began to shiver. "Well.....I....um...." Crazed Candy walked up to her and said, "Now stop! Is that any way to treat somepony?" Moonlight quickly turned to her and said, "I don't know Crazed. IS that how you are supposed to treat your FRIENDS?" After that Star decided she had enough. "Moonlight Chaos! Calm down! Look what you are doing to them!" She pointed towards the three ponies holding each other and shaking with fear. Chocolate Pie jumped over and said, "What has gotten into you?" Moonlight looked at Chocolate and headed towards her. "What are you talking about Chocolate? I thought we were friends?" Chocolate was feeling a little scared but stood her ground and said, "We are, but I do NOT like seeing you act like a big meanie!" Moonlight pretended to look hurt and said, "A big meanie huh? Would a big meanie do....THIS?" She aimed her horn at Cotton, Discorded, and Crazed Candy and began absorbing their colors. Switching them with grey and white colors. Then she took away Discorded and Cottons wings! Chocolate looked at them and said, "What did you do to them?" Moonlight laughed and said, "Simple, I took away all of their kindness and compassion for you and took away Discorded Swirls and Cotton Feathers wings. Silly me!" Chocolate's mane began growing straight and tears were forming. "What have we done to you?" She began crying and her color began to fade as well. Moonlight smirked. Then she heard Star Dim say, "Enough Moonlight! Stop this now!" Moonlight spun around and faced her. "Four down, and one to go." She thought to herself. Star Dim continued, "Moonlight darling, you need to stop!" Moonlight said, "Why should I? Aren't we having so much fun? Or is this not fun enough for you?" Star Dim began sounding less angry and more worried. "Moonlight please....you are turning into a monster!" Moonlight yelled. "I have always been a monster! Everypony could see that! Why couldn't you? How pathetic are you?" Star Dim was almost ready to cry her colors began to fade just as the grey colors reached her face she said, "What will happen when Discord sees what you have become?" Moonlight smirked as Star Dim collapsed. Then Moonlight lost her color replacing them with grey color. She became scared and flew out the window. As she did her friends got their color back. When everypony opened their eyes Discorded Swirls said, "What happened? Where's Moonlight?"

Children of the Night

Moonlight was flying around the castle. She wanted to know what Celestia and Luna were up to. Besides she had nothing else to do. She was still completely grey and angry, because of this she did not get any sleep. Eventually she found Celestia and Luna talking in a large room. It seemed like Luna had been the first to speak up. "Celestia, I have been in deep thought for the past few days. Our kingdom is weak, our subjects are struggling, everything seems weak." Celestia looked down at her sister and said, "Continue Luna. Please share your thoughts with me." Luna slowly continued. "I was thinking perhaps we could start a new kingdom." Celestia looked a little shocked. Moonlight was surprised as well. But she continued to watch. "If we started a new kingdom we could get a new start. We could find new land. Be able to have better building area to expand on, more room to grow food. The younger ones could grow in a stronger economy. Everypony could be happy." Celestia turned to her sister. "Luna, that does sound like a lovely thought. And even a well thought out plan. But if we do that. The kingdom we are in will be divided and shattered. It will be chaos all over again. Ponies will be scattered everywhere." Luna looked a little hurt and said, "But Celestia...." She was immediately interrupted. "I'm sorry Luna but it can't be that way." Luna tried to speak up and convince her sister. "But if we only..." But Celestia would not listen. "That is enough Luna! My decision is final." Moonlight stopped listening and flew back home. "Why would Luna want to create a new kingdom?"

After Moonlight had returned them back to normal and had left they had all decided to give her a while to calm down. All of them had gone too far. They were all completely shocked at what happened. They all went home and when the moon rose and they all went to sleep they found Discord waiting for them.

They were all completely still. "Do you think Discord will be mad at us" Cotton Feathers said in a nervous tone. They all looked forward and saw Discord standing a few feet away from them. "We're about to find out I'm afraid." Crazed Candy said. "Who is going to talk to him first? Somepony has to." Discorded Swirls said. They all looked at Star Dim. "What?" She said. "Well you do have the second closest relationship with him. And the rest of us besides Cotton have not know Moonlight as long as you have." Star Dim slowly nodded and walked towards Discord very quietly. She was two feet away when she looked up at him. But to her surprise Discord did not look angry. He looked concerned. Star Dim slowly began to try and speak. "Do you........need to......speak to us?" Star could barely get the words to come out of her mouth. She was very nervous. Discord, instead of getting angry, like everypony had expected just looked at her in the eye and said, "Are you all okay?" Star was a little shocked but spoke in a more firm tone, "I think everypony is fine. You're not mad at us are you?" Discord laughed a little and then became slightly more serious. "No, I'm not mad. But I am a little concerned." Star looked at him, then at her friends and said, "Does that mean....you know what happened to...." Her sentence was quickly finished by Discord. "Yes, I know what happened. And I will tell you this, she won't be calming down for a while." Star Dim looked down. "We all went too far. I can admit that. But why is she so afraid? She seems so scared and miserable all the time." Discord sighed. "It won't be easy to explain, but maybe I can give you an idea of what Moonlight sees." Suddenly everything disappeared and then Discord said, "Imagine being in a world where everything is perfect for you. In your case a world full of darkness." Suddenly everything became dark and full of night. "It's so beautiful." Star Dim said. Discord continued, "You have everything you could want. And you even have someone to share it with." Suddenly a young unicorn stallion appeared. He walked towards Star Dim and took her hoof. "Well that sounds delightful. But what does that have anything to do with Moonlight?" Discord turned from her and said, "Now imagine that being taken away from you. Everything." He waved his paw and everything disappeared. The stallion began to fade. "Now think of what it's like to have all of that gone. No one is there. Nothing is there for you to enjoy. And if everyone found out you did not like it their way. You would be hurt greatly." Soon ponies began to surround her. They all looked angry and scary. They got closer and closer. Eventually Star Dim closed her eyes. Then everything disappeared. Discord looked at her and said, "Moonlight is afraid. She had everything she could have ever wanted. She had you, she had me, she had chaos. Then everything was taken way from her. Chaos left. I was turned to stone. And now her friends are trying to get her to just forget everything. She did nothing to deserve any of this. When that happen she became crushed. Her anger and fear began to rise. I'm not there to protect her. I'm not there to comfort her. If she goes out and is found using her magic Luna and Celestia will destroy her. Her magic will be gone. Everything she could ever want will be gone. And she will be so drowned in her anger she will destroy herself. With every moment that goes by, she is slowly growing insane. You have to prevent that from happening. When you told her to go wih you and she said no, you did get rid of some of her anger, even if she showed in a frightening way. Please be gentle with her. She is being twisted in anger, fear, and sadness. Do not do anything to make her more angry then she already is." Star Dim looked around her and said, "When you say it like that. It does explain everything. Is she really that confused and is being tortured by her mind?" Then Discord said, "Bring them all to me, one at a time. They can only experience feeling." Star Dim sighed and walked towrards them. "Discorded darling, Discord needs to speak with you. Chocolate you will go after her." Discorded Swirls looked a little nervous but dashed over to him. And slowly they began talking, then they disappeared for a while and continued talking. When she was finished Chocolate Pie went next. "Cotton darling, you will go after Chocolate, then you Crazed darling." Star Dim said. One by one they each went up and talked with Discord. Cotton surprisingly took the longest amount of time. When Crazed Candy came back Discord followed. "Where is Moonlight now?" Chocolate asked. As quickly as she asked an image appeared in front of her. It was Moonlight, she looked grey and angry. One minute she would be crying and then the next she would be destroying everything. It would be fixed but then just be destroyed again. Everypony gasped. "Are'nt you going to stop her? Are you even going to talk to her?" Crazed asked. "Not right now. She is getting her frustration out. But tomorrow I will definitely be giving her a talking to as well. We will be having a long, serious conversation I can assure you." Was Discord's reply. Then he looked at the image and saw Moonlight destroy a bookshelf and as everything flew into the air she fell on her bed. Discord laughed. "She is so adorable when she is angry! Look at her!" Cotton Feathers only said, "Just remind me not to get on her bad side again." The girls laughed. Everything was slowly coming together.

Moonlight was getting very tired. She was about to go to sleep, when she felt something underneath the blankets. She pulled the object out. It was the toy Discord gave her. She felt a little lonely so she used her magic to bring inside the sculpture garden. When she found Discord she laid down and grabbed the toy. It felt so soft and warm. Feeling it's softness and flufflyness made her even more tired. Slowly she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Luna was getting ready to raise the moon. She watched as all the lights slowly went out. She then used her magic to raise the moon. She looked at how everything looked so fragile, broken, and weak. She said in a soft quiet voice, "Come little children, I'll take thee away. Into a land of enchantment. Come little children, the time has come to play, in my garden of shadows." Slowly her eyes began to glow white then she disappeared. Slowly she cast a spell causing everypony in the castle to fall asleep. She flew out of the castle and through the streets. She put all the lights out, allowing everyone to sleep. As she looked through all the windows she found many children. They were all sleeping and she wanted them to live in a better place. The light of the moon began to shine on them and guided them to Luna. She told the children not to worry and that they would all be safe. "Come little children, I'll show thee the way, through all the pain and the sorrow. Weep not dear children. For life is this way, murdering beauty and passion. Hush now dear children it must be this way. Come with me my children and you'll soon awake into the calm, and the quiet." All through the night she led them over the night sky and in through the night and she brought them to a great castle where they would be safe. When Luna returned she passed over the sculpture garden. Through the light of the moon, Luna swore she saw somepony down there. She got a little closer and saw it looked like......an alicorn. It was sleeping underneath the statue of Discord. Luna thought it might have just been her imagination, slowly she crept into the castle and back into her room.

Twisted Emotions

Moonlight was beginning to get scared. Discord was in front of her. She was still completely grey and angry but through all that something about Discord's look made her shiver. "What are you doing here?" Moonlight said in a very flat tone. Discord just looked at her and said, "Nice to see you too. Are you feeling alright?" Moonlight just turned from him and said, "I'm fine. Now leave me alone." Discord just said, "Sorry my dear. But I'm afraid I cannot do that." Moonlight just gave him an annoyed look then turned away from him again. "Why are you here anyway?" Moonlight asked still not looking at him. Discord quickly put his claw over her mouth and said, "No, I will be asking the questions around here." Moonlight groaned and then sighed. "Fine......what do you want?" She asked. Discord kept trying to get her to look at him but she wouldn't. He figured she was going to need a bit of "persuasion". "That's better." He said. He still tried to get her to look at him and she was able to resist him less and less. "What do you want?" Moonlight asked again. She was getting annoyed. Discord began to fly in circles around her. "I want you." Moonlight just rolled her eyes and said, "Well in case you haven't noticed, I'm already right here. So why do you need me?" Discord began to think and then it hit him. "Wait, your right I don't want you." Moonlights eyes widened. "What! But you just said you did a few moments ago!" Discord smiled, his plan was working. "Well I did. But now that I think about it, your not really MY Moonlight." Moonlight was getting angry. "What are you talking about?" She yelled. She was so confused. Discord continued watching, it was working. He slowly continued. "For starters MY Moonlight is not angry and never yells. She loves chaos and is never confused like you. She has friends and she loves ME." Moonlight started crying she ran towards him and hugged him. She said to him, "But I do love you! I always have, and I always will." Slowly her color came back all the blues, purples, and whites came rushing over her body. Once that happened she let go. She looked at him with her big, tear stained eyes. He slowly picked her up and said, "I love you too."

"I'm sorry." Moonlight said. She looked up at Discord with her red and yellow eyes. "What do you need to be sorry for?" Discord asked. He was just glad to have his Moonlight back. "I'm sorry I was so difficult with you. I was mean and I hurt my friends. I'm sorry if I get angry around you." Discord laughed. "Don't be. Besides you can get very adorable when you're angry." Moonlight giggled. Discord looked at her and gave her a devious looking smile. " Now don't you think it's time you made peace with your friends?" Moonlight looked a little nervous but then said, "Fine....." She looked down at the ground. "Excellent!" Discord said. He snapped his claw and they vanished.

The girls found themselves standing ten feet away from Discord. From behind him they saw Moonlight. Chocolate said, "Hey it's Moonlight. Is she okay?" She asked. Discord looked behind him at her and said, "Let's just say we had a very long talk." Moonlight began to slowly step from behind him. That's when everyone noticed her color was back. Cotton Feathers walked towards her. Then Moonlight look a few steps back. Cotton remembered what Discord told her and took a few steps back as well and then said, "Moonlight, we're really sorry." Everyone else nodded. Moonlight took a few more steps back and then said in a very quiet voice, "I'm sorry too." Then she continued to back up and hid behind Discord again. He looked at hr and said, "Well it's a start at least." Star Dim said, "It's good enough for us darling. But I have one question, how did you get her real nature to come back?" Discord looked at her and said, "Sometimes it takes a little "persuasion" to get what you want. Sometimes it takes a touch, and sometimes a word."

Dark Chaos and Nightmare Moon

Princess Luna was angry. Her sister was constantly overshadowing her and she would never listen to her! The ponies of Equestria loved Celestia's day. But as soon as the moon came all the ponies would sleep and hide from her night. Nopony appreciated her work. Luna had stormed off because Celestia had not been listening to her again! She went to her bedroom and shut the door. "Why won't she listen to me? Why won't anypony listen to me?" Then she heard a knock on her door. "Luna it's me. Can I come in?" Came the voice of her older sister. Luna sighed and said, "Yes. Just a moment." She walked over to the door and invited her sister inside. Celestia looked at her. "Luna, I am sorry if you feel like I don't always listen to you. You are my sister and want you to know that I care about you. If you need to talk to me about anything I will be there for you." Luna looked up at her sister and replied, "Actually there is something I would like to talk to you about." Celestia nodded and said, "Of course Luna. What is it?" Luna took a deep breath and began. "I was going over my nightly routines and was flying over Equestria making sure everyone was safe and sleeping peacefully when I flew past the garden in the center of Canterlot." Celestia looked concerned and said, "Yes and...." Luna quietly said, "And I believe I saw another alicorn among the statues." Celestia looked shocked. "You saw another what?" Luna said once again. "An alicorn. It was lying amount the statues. But it appeared to be in front of one in particular." Celestia looked nervous. "Which statue?" Luna now looked nervous and answered. "Discord, Celestia. It was Discord." Celestia relaxed and said. "Oh Luna. Sometimes you can be so funny!" Luna looked shocked. "You don't believe me?" Celestia put her wing around Luna and said, "You know that we are the only two in Equestria. No others exist. So now you can have a laugh and we can continue with everything else. Now get some sleep. You will need it before I raise the sun." Celestia stood tall and proudly and walked out of Luna's bedroom. Luna was furious. "Soon it won't be you who will be laughing anymore Celestia." Then something inside Luna.....snapped. A dark energy was taking over her body. Luna could not sense this magic but if she continued this path she was going to become a monster.

Moonlight was with Discord and all of her friends they were talking to each other when suddenly Moonlight's eyes began to glow. A dark beam of magic erupted from her and was sent everywhere then it all disappeared. "Good heavens! What was that all about?" Star Dim asked. "I don't know but I feel slightly different. And a bit more relaxed surprisingly." Moonlight replied. Discord looked at her and said. "May I speak to you for a moment? Alone?" Moonlight nodded and walked with him until they were quite a while away from everypony. Then Discord said, "Do you still remember a while back, when you had those nightmares?" Moonlight nodded and said. "Yes, but what does that have to do with magic?" Discord sighed and said, "Do you remember the pony from your nightmares that wanted you magic? What was she like? What did she look like?" Moonlight thought for a while and then replied. "Her name was Dark Chaos. She had very powerful magic like mine, but not as strong as mine. She had a black coat and wore dark blue armor. Her cutie mark was a moon with stars. And she had extremely dark powers." Discord continued listening and then said, "When did the nightmares stop?" Moonlight began to think again. It did not take very long for her reply. "Shortly after Crazed unlocked her Element. She disappeared and I could hear her say I was too powerful for her to control and that she needed to find a weaker source." Discord looked at her. "Well my dear, I believe she found her weaker source. That's why all that dark magic left you." Moonlight asked. "Do you know what that source is?" Discord stood still for a while and then said with a devious smirk. "Well, well. That's surprising." Moonlight looked at him and said, "What is it?" Discord put his paw in her hair and said. "It turns out that weaker source is in fact...." He held up his eagle claw causing an image of Princess Luna to appear. "That source is none other then Princess Luna." Moonlight looked at him and smirked. "I have a feeling this going to be very chaotic."

Dark Chaos was trapped in Moonlight. For weeks she had been trying to find a weaker power source to corrupt. And she was not getting any luck. Eventually she could feel the power of somepony's anger and rage. It was coming from Princess Luna. "Well it looks like I have found a new source to take control of." She found that Luna was jealous of her older sister. That she felt that nopony respected the night she brought. Dark Chaos began growing stronger as she fed on Luna's anger. "Goodbye Moonlight. It was fun being with you." She erupted out of Moonlight and disappeared into Luna's mind. "Don't worry anymore Princess Luna. I will help you feel better. Darkness and nightmares will be our goals now. And it will just be you and me......Nightmare Moon."

The Library

After talking all night the girls new the sun was going to rise any minute. "I say we should just get you out now! We can just break you out of the garden." Discorded Swirls said. She was trying to find a way to free Discord. "But how would we release him from stone?" Cotton Feathers asked. Discorded tried to think. "Um.....well......we could always......just....I got nothing." Moonlight said. "We could just look in the library at the castle." Everyone looked at her. "How do you know there is a library in the castle?" Chocolate Pie asked. "I spy on Celestia and Luna a lot. It's not like I have anything else to do." Crazed Candy replied. "Okay, but how would we even get in? Where is this library?" Moonlight used her magic to make glowing lines connect to form a picture of the caste Luna and Celestia lived in. "The castle is in the Everfree Forest, in the castle on the second floor there is a large room where they store hundreds of books. Some sections of the library even have books filled with many spells. Of we all go while they are asleep, maybe we could find something." Star Dim looked at her and said, "I don't see any harm in trying. Besides maybe we could find useful things there." Then Discord began to disappear. "The sun is almost up. I have to go. But I'll see you all to tonight." Moonlight gave him a hug before everything vanished.

Moonlight woke up slowly. She looked behind her and saw Discord's statue. She heard ponies coming so she got up and quickly flew away. She flew all the way back to her house and quickly grabbed her saddlebags. They were a midnight blue with her cutie mark on it. Then she quickly flew out of her house and in through the window of the room Discord gave her. Since most of her things were there she decided to grab a few things she would need for tonight. When she had everything she laid on her bed and slowly curled up. The blankets were so warm and everything felt so soft. Slowly she fell asleep, she was going to be awake half the night and did not want to be too tired.

They all stood in front of the Everfree Forest. "I'm going in." Discorded Swirls said. She opened her wings and raced in. Cotton Feathers and Chocolate Pie followed. Then Crazed and Star Dim joined. Moonlight looked at the forest and slowly walked in. "This forest is very pretty." Cotton Feathers said. "Indeed it is. The plants are lovely I just wish it was less dirty and full of mud." Crazed Candy rolled her eyes and said, "Well that's how nature is. Now we need to get to the castle so Moonlight lead the way." Moonlight trotted up ahead and led them through the forest. Eventually they came to the castle. They slowly walked in through the door and went up a flight of stairs. "I know it's around here somewhere." Moonlight said as she looked at all the doors they passed. Then they came to a large door. Moonlight pushed it open and they all walked in. They came into a room filled with books and scrolls. "Wow! Look at all these books this place is amazing! It's bigger then I remember it!" Moonlight said. Before she had met Discord and her friends she would spend hours in her room reading hundreds of books. It was the only thing she could do to pass time. But after she met Discord, there was no more need for books. She could experience everything her books had said. Now that she was in here she could now read thousands of books kept in one library. "Alright everypony split up. If you find anything let me know." They all took separate paths and looked at different shelves filled with books and old scrolls. Moonlight looked at all the books and eventually she came to an area that was blocked by a gate. She used her magic to open it and walked inside. This room was smaller but it was filled with very old scrolls and an old desk at the front. She sat down at the desk and used her magic to being each scroll and book to her one by one. Many of them were filled with old spells and ancient writings left by older unicorns. Eventually she came to a dusty scroll that had been stained with ink spots. She slowly unrolled it and found inside a spell written by a unicorn named Golden Quill. It was a spell that could reverse any kind of enchantment or spell put on something. Moonlight wanted to test it to see if it worked. She found a blank scroll on the ground and raised it with her magic then she caused it to catch fire. Bursting into flames. She looked at the ashes on the desk then she looked at the spell. She aimed her magic at the pile of ashes and cast the spell. Slowly the ashes began to lift into the air. They began to fit together and transformed into a scroll again. She wanted to try it on something bigger. She looked around the room and spotted and old globe sitting in the corner of the room. She fired a beam from her horn causing the globe to break into many pieces. Then she cast the spell again. The pieces moved and slowly came together and globe was fixed. Moonlight left the desk and looked around at more books. She found a few that looked interesting and used her magic to bring them off the shelves and dropped them lightly into her saddlebag. She found some scrolls and quills she figured she could read and use and put those in her saddlebags as well. Then she stopped. In the middle of the room was an old table with a candle on it. The candle was being held by a beautiful silver candleholder. She slipped both of them in her saddlebags, grabbed the spell she needed and left the small room. If she ever went to the library again, she wanted to visit that same room. It was quiet and special to her.

Moonlight found her friends still looking through all the books on the shelves. When they saw her come out Cotton Feathers asked in a sweet voice, "Did you find anything Moony? None of us have. Or at least not a spell." Moonlight noticed that most of her friends had filled their saddlebags with scrolls and books they had found. Moonlight raised up the scroll she found and said, "I found just the right spell. Do you have everything." Star Dim said, "I believe we all have something except for Discorded Swirls." Moonlight looked at the grey pegasus and said, "Don't you want something from the library?" Discorded shook her head. "Reading is not really my thing. No offense to all you eggheads." Everypony laughed. Moonlight caught sight of a book she had read when she was just a filly. She brought it in front of her and said, "At least try this one. I think you will like it." Discorded looked at the book and read the title. "Daring Do and the Legend of the Lost Temple. Usually I wouldn't but I'll try it just this once." After they had all left the library Moonlight went back to her room. She put the books and scrolls she took from the library and put them in a drawer. Then she flew into Discord's room. It was so quiet and even though all the furniture was still there, the room felt empty. After a while she flew back into her bedroom. She worked on the reversing spell for a while. And she slowly grew tired, she still could not stop thinking about the library. What other secrets did it hold? And what knowledge remained in those books? Slowly Moonlight fell asleep.

Cold Nights and Stone

Princess Luna was slowly growing bitter and angry. Her sister was beginning to notice this. Every night she would ask her sister if she was feeling alright. Luna would just say she was fine and then she would shut Celestia out. Celestia was becoming more nervous, what was happening to her sister. Every night Luna would raise the moon and would make each night colder and darker. It would last longer and the moon would glow brighter each night. She watched as all the ponies began to fear her night even more. Luna began to cry and would scream at night. "Why don't they understand me?"

Moonlight had almost completely mastered the spell. Now she needed to try it on something made of stone. She tried to think of something that could help her. Then she thought "A cockitrice! It can turn things to stone." She used her magic to create a cockatrice. When it appeared it faced her. It began to slither towards her. Moonlight flinched but tried to calm it down. "It's okay. I won't hurt you." The cockatrice looked her in the eye. Then it went over to her and curled up againsted her. "Good cockatrice. Can you help me with something?" Moonlight asked. The cockatrice nodded. Moonlight fasted a spell and made a rabbit appear. She pointed towards the rabbit and the cockatrice flew towards the rabbit and gave it an icy glare causing the rabbit to be turned to stone. Moonlight clapped her hooves. "Good job!" The cockatrice flew over to her and curled up next to her again. Moonlight made pillows and blankets appear and said, "There you go. Now you have something soft to sleep on." The cockatrice moved over to pile of pillows and tried to get comfortable. Then it relaxed and laid down. Moonlight took her focus on the rabbit. She cast the spell from the scroll she found in the library. Slowly the stone began to break. It got half way finished before it hardened again. Moonlight tried again. It got a little further but soon after have the same result. She tried one more time and slowly the stone completely broke and the rabbit was free. She used her magic to get rid of it. "Well looks like I will need more practice." She looked at the cockatrice. "I guess that means you will be staying a little longer." The cockatrice lifted its head. "I think I should give you a name. How about.......Stone? I think it fits you because it's something you are good at doing." The cockatrice looked like it was thinking then it rushed around Moonlight and then wrapped his wings around her. Then Stone flew back to the pile of pillows. Moonlight felt a chilly breeze wash over her causing her to shiver. "Brrr! It looks like it's a chilly night." Moonlight went to shut her window, she looked up at the stars and said, "Night is a very beautiful time. Everything is calm. It's dark and filled with sparkling stars. Not bad Luna." She closed the window and walked over to her bed and snuggled underneath the blankets.

Moonlight could tell she was asleep because all of her friends were here and so was Discord. Star Dim gasped and said, "Moonlight, a cockatrice is behind you!" Moonlight turned around. And she saw Stone standing right behind her. She motioned for him to come over and flew up landing on her hoof. "No Star! It's fine. This is my cockatrice." Everypony looked confused. "What do you mean he's your cockatrice sugarcube?" Moonlight giggled and pointed to him. "I made him with my magic. He was supposed to help me with the spell but......he was so friendly I decided to keep him with me. His name is Stone by the way. And don't worry he won't hurt you or turn you to stone." Chocolate jumped over to Stone and said, "Hi Stone! I'm Chocolate Pie!" Stone just looked at her and blinked. Then he flew on to her back and rubbed againsted her mane. Chocolate giggled. "Hey he likes me!" Then Stone flew off of her and flew on to everypony and examined all of them. He appeared to like all of them. Then he came to Discord. Stone looked at Discord and flew all the around him. Discord held up his claw for Stone to land on. Once Stone was on Discord he began to rub his neck all over Discord. "It appears he likes me as well." Eventually Stone stopped and flew back over to Moonlight. Moonlight fluffed his feathers and then turned to Discord. "I found a spell in the library that can get you out. I just need a little practice to make it work completely." Discord just smirked and said, "Knowing you I think you will be able to do it perfectly." Moonlight replied, "We'll actually I have most of it covered. I think maybe one more day and you'll be free!" Discord sighed. "That would be nice. Just standing in one spot can be very boring. And though it's only been a few weeks, I feel very stiff. Stone body suits are definitely not my first fashion choice." Star Dim laughed. "I can tell darling. Besides after everything will be much better then the way it is now." Moonlight agreed. "It certainly will."

Nightmare Moon

Princess Luna was extremely angry. Her bitterness and jealousy was taking over. She was treating everypony differently. She was giving commands to the guards to do things her way. She did not say "please" or "thank you" anymore. She avoided her sister all night. Then Celestia was getting ready to raise the sun. When it was in the sky Luna hissed. "Why does the sun have to be full of beauty and warmth? Why is it so bright?" For the first time Luna felt sick watching the rays of the sun as they sparkled and glowed. Then Luna made up her mind, she was going to show her sister what it felt like to be overshadowed and to not be loved. "Enjoy these next few hours of light Celestia. Because they will be your last."

Dark Chaos who had now become Nightmare Moon was ready. "Come Luna, lets show Celestia how you feel about her day. How it feels not to be loved." For two weeks she had been twisting Luna's mind. It was full of hatred and anger. And something new had also entered her mind. Evil. Dark thoughts were spilling into her mind constantly. Luna was much easier to control then Moonlight had been. Her magic was too strong, there was no way Moonlight could have lost. But now that Nightmare Moon had taken over Luna she began to feel like Moonlight should still take place in this. Maybe she could rule in darkness with her. So may thoughts were coming together and nightmares were being created.

Princess Luna had politely asked Celestia to join her in the throne room. She was going to do it. She was going to stand up to her sister and take what belonged to her. Luna opened the doors and walked into the throne room. It was a very beautiful part of the castle. Two thrones stood at the end of the room. A golden throne with the banner of a sun hanging over it, and a dark throne with the banner of a moon. Luna hid behind her throne and took a deep breath. Then she heard hoof steps. "Luna, are you in here?" Called Celestia. Just the sound of her sisters voice made her cringe. She was very angry with Celestia. She walked from behind the throne and said in a very stern voice, "Not another step." Celestia looked shocked. Her sister was acting different. Luna continued she spoke again in almost a mocking tone. "Did you really expect me to sit idly by while they all basked in your precious light?" Luna walked over to the podium between the thrones and began to yell. "There can only be one princess in Equestria. AND THAT PRINCESS WILL BE ME!!!!" Luna flew over the window and raised the moon over the sun, creating an eclipse. Dark magic surrounded her causing her coat to change into a black color. Her teeth grew sharper and her mane grew more misty. Her eyes turned a bright cyan and she began laughing.

Nightmare Moon looked at Celestia they stood face to face. Celestia cried to sister. "Luna I will not fight you! You MUST lower the moon! It is your duty!" Nightmare Moon gave Celestia an annoyed look. "Luna? I am Nightmare Moon. I have one royal duty now. TO DESTROY YOU!" She aimed her horn at Celestia and shot a beam. But Celestia flew past it as well as the next few beams. Then she flew out of a hole in the ceiling caused by the lasers. "And where do you think you are going?" Nightmare Moon asked flying towards Celestia. She got closer chasing her and trying to destroy her with her magic. All of this effort was causing the castle to fall apart. Then she hit Celestia causing her to scream. Celestia slowly began to fall. Nightmare Moon laughed manically.

Celestia slowly got up. She felt tired and sore. But her sister was still out there. Waiting for her. "Oh dear sister. I am sorry, but you have given me no choice but to use these." She used her magic to make doors in the floor to open and a giant structure came from it holding the Elements of Harmony. She brought them all out and was powered by their energy. She flew up towards her sister. Then they heard a voice. "Such a shame Luna. I always enjoyed your night." Both Nightmare Moon and Celestia's eyes widened. They knew that voice. They both turned and saw a familiar creature flying right next to them. They both looked at him. "Discord."

Discord is Free

Moonlight had been practicing her spell all night. Thanks to Stone she was able to do everything much faster. Eventually she had done it. She had performed the spell with no errors. She gasped as she saw what she had done. She had done it. She could free Discord. Everything could go back to chaos. Moonlight was so excited. She kept talking and talking. "I did it! I did it! I can free Discord! Everything can go back to the way it was! I did it! I can't believe it!" She looked at Stone who gave her a look. Moonlight felt silly and said, "Maybe I should get the girls and go now right?" The cockatrice nodded. Moonlight was about to fly out when she looked at him and said, "Do you want to come too?" Stone looked thrilled he jumped up and rubbed againsted Moonlight as if to say yes. Then he flew out the window. Moonlight laughed and followed him.

Star Dim heard a knock on her door and groaned. "Oh great just what I need. Can I ever get some beauty sleep?" She climbed out of her bed and walked to the door when she opened it she found Moonlight and Stone. "Oh Moonlight I'm sorry. Is something wrong?" Moonlight shook her head. "No! Nothing's wrong. I completed the spell. We're getting Discord out tonight!" Star Dim gasped and closed her door. She came out a few minutes late without her mask or clothes and had her Element of Chaos on her neck. "Let's go." She said.

"Who do we need next?" Star Dim asked. Moonlight replied, "Well Chocolate is the second closest so I guess she's next." The two rushed up to her door. Star Dim gave it three knocks. The door was quickly opened by Chocolate Pie who was covered in streamers. "Chocolate darling what happened? You're a disaster!" Chocolate laughed. "Oh I was just having a Midnight Time Party! So what brings you two here? Did you come for the party?" Star Dim shook her head and whispered something in her ear. Chocolate screeched. "Well why did'nt you say so! That sounds like fun!" Chocolate was gone for a few seconds and then returned with her Element of Chaos. "Come on let's go!"

"Let me guess, Cotton Feathers is next? Am I right? Huh, am I?" Chocolate Pie asked. Star Dim just looked at Moonlight. Moonlight thought for a while and said, "I think so Chocolate." Chocolate Pie laughed. "I knew it! I knew it!" They quickly arrived at Cotton Feathers home. Stone used his claws to knock on the door. Cotton came out with an angry look. "What do you want?" She said with an annoyed tone. Then she saw it was her friends and said, "Oh! Sorry! I thought you were somepony else. What do you need?" Chocolate bounced in front of her and said, "We're going to get Discord out! Moonlight got her spell ready." Cotton quickly flew upstairs and grabbed her Element of Chaos. She rushed outside and said, "You go get Crazed, I'll find Discorded Swirls." Moonlight nodded and raced off.

The girls found Crazed Candy working in the fields of her family's orchard. "What are y'all doing here? Especially at this hour?" Moonlight said, "We're freeing Discord." Crazed nodded and rushed into the barn. She returned with her Element on and followed everypony to the sculpture garden. Discord was going to be free at last.

Moonlight found Cotton Feathers and Discorded waiting for them at the front of the sculpture garden. "What took you so long?" Discorded Swirls asked. Moonlight looked at Cotton Feathers. She gave her a look and said, "What? You know how fast she is. It really did not take that long to get her. And besides she really wants Discord to get out." Moonlight shook her head and went into the garden, the others followed behind. Slowly they headed towards the center of the garden. The closer they got the faster they began to walk. Then they came to Discord's statue. Moonlight looked up. She could hardly breathe. Finally Discord would be free again. Discorded Swirls saw Moonlight just standing there and said, "Hello Moonlight! You there? Calm Down!" Moonlight blinked and then looked at her. "Sorry! I'm trying." Cotton Feathers smiled. "Don"t worry, you'll be fine." Moonlight sighed. "Let's finish this." Slowly her horn began to glow. Blue and purple colors swirled around. Then the statue began to break apart. It began cracking and splitting as it slowly made it's way upward. It got halfway before it stopped moving. Moonlight looked scared. "Help me!" Crazed Candy ran towards her. "Come on y'all! She needs help! Hurry!" Everypony got closer and their necklaces began to glow. The statue began to break apart even more. Then Moonlights Element began to glow. The statue was completely broken. A bright light appeared and covered everything.

Everypony was on the ground. Moonlights eyes fluttered open. Then the girls slowly opened their eyes and looked up. Moonlights eyes grew wide and she could hear her heart beating. It got louder and louder. In front of all of them was Discord! He slowly got up and looked at his body. He moved his tail and his paw. Then he looked at Moonlight. Her eyes got even bigger when she watched him walk over to her. Discord looked at her then he picked her up. "Thank you." Moonlight was amazed. Discord was back. He was holding her. Then he looked at her again. "Are you feeling okay?" Moonlight shook her head and said, "Sorry. I'm fine. I just can't believe it. Your back." He smiled and replied, "And I'll stay back. I promise you that. Now I think we should deal with Luna and Celestia." Moonlight gave him a devious smile. "I couldn't agree more." Discord, Moonlight, and Discorded Swirls opened their wings and began to fly towards Luna and Celestia's castle. The other girls followed behind.

"Luna looks mad." Discorded said as she looked through the window. Everyone was watching as Luna was yelling at Celestia. Then they saw Luna raise the moon and it covered the sun. Then Luna transformed. She was now Nightmare Moon. Star Dim gasped. "My stars! That armor is gorgeous!" She was immediately shushed by the others. They watched as Nightmare Moon destroyed the castle. Then she began chasing Celestia around. Then they watched as Nightmare Moon hit Celestia and she fell to the ground. "Wow! Luna is mad! Look what she did to Celestia!" Then they saw Celestia get back up and she caused the Elements of Harmony to appear out of a compartment in the floor. Then she took the Elements and flew up to her sister. Discord looked at Moonlight and said, "Let's go." Moonlight nodded and she flew up with him. Just as Celestia was about to use the Elements on her sister they both heard a voice. "Such a shame Luna. I always enjoyed your night." Both Nightmare Moon and Celestia turned and looked at a familiar sight. Flying right next to them. "Discord."

A Night in the Library and The Elements of Harmony

After chaos had returned to Equestria everyone had gone home. Discord and Moonlight went into their bedrooms. Moonlight was so happy. Everything was back. But she felt like she needed to do something. She wanted to be somewhere that she could have all to herself. The library. She needed to go back. She wanted to go through those books and find something. She remembered the candle she took and grabbed it from her saddlebag. She turned off all the lights and lit the candle. It glowed a bright yellow. Then the flame began changing color. It was magic. Moonlight loved this candle. She slipped her saddlebags on her back and slowly walked out of her room. She quietly flew across the hall. She looked at the door to Discord's room. Light was leaking from the area underneath the door. It flickered and glowed brightly. Moonlight continued to the edge of the hall and opened the window. The moon glowed brightly, Moonlight jumped out of the window and flew into the sky with the candle giving her a dim lit path.

Moonlight was at the edge of the Everfree Forest. She slowly walked in. As she came to the castle she remembered it had been partially destroyed by Nightmare Moon. She opened the door and went inside. The inside looked a little dirty and destroyed, but overall it was not that bad. She slowly walked up the stairs and down the long hallway. The candle caused different shadows of colors across the wall. It was so pretty. Moonlight looked at the candle. It had burning for a while and yet the candle was not any shorter then it had been before. This was the most amazing candle she had ever seen. She came to the door that opened to the library. Surprisingly the library looked like it had barely been touched. Moonlight made her way past all the shelves and saw the gate to the room she had found. The gate opened slowly and made a creaking noise. Moonlight went through and shut the gate locking it so nopony could follow her. She came to the old desk she found the last time she was here. She sat down and took out the silver candlestick and placed the candle inside it. Then she began reading through each book. She found many books that held history, some held Equestrian legends and tales, one book even held the name of every animal and creature in Equestria. She even found a page with Discord on it. Looking at this made her think. "What was is like for Discord before he met me?" Moonlight remember the day she met him. It was unexpected. Moonlight had been so amazed. Because she met him so many things had happened. She decided she would ask him when she came back.

Moonlight slowly went through the doors of the castle and was about to walk into the forest again when she saw Luna and Celestia. They were still statues just standing there. Moonlight walked up to them. She giggled. They looked ridiculous. She remembered the looks on their faces when they saw her. They were both surprised. They did not know another Alicorn existed. Then she saw a glowing light coming from behind them. Moonlight walked past them. Something was glowing in the ground. She brushed away the leaves. It was one of the Elements of Harmony. She found the others lying on the ground. She picked up all six of them and put them in her saddlebags. Nopony was going to find these. She would make sure of that.

Moonlight slowly flew back through the window. She blew out the candle and put it in her saddlebags. She walked past Discords room and into hers. She put the candle and the candlestick back on her desk and put a few of the books on it as well. Then she heard the door open. Moonlight quickly turned around. It was Discord. Moonlight flew over to him very slowly and then dropped to the floor. Discord looked at her. "And just where were you?" Moonlight looked a little nervous. "Um...I went to the library at the castle. I found a room there and I wanted to look at some of the books in there." Discord continued to stare at her. "Oh really? Is that what you did?" Moonlight looked up at him. "Yes......" Discord looked at her for a while and then laughed. "You are to much! Did you really think I would be mad at you?" Moonlight smiled a little. "I guess I did." Discord picked her up. "Don't worry. I'm not mad." Moonlight laughed a little and then said, "While I was there I got you something." Moonlight flew over to her saddlebags and pulled out the Elements of Harmony. She brought them down to Discord. He looked at them and took them. Then he used his magic to arrange them in a row. Then he took a thick piece of thread and put them through the Elements. Finally he tied the end and put them around Moonlights neck. "There much better." Moonlight looked at the necklace. "You're giving them to me?" Discord smiled. "Of course I am. Besides they look good on you." Moonlight hugged them and said, "Thank you." Then she let go and Discord flew out of her room. Moonlight looked at each of the Elements they were so colorful. She looked at the Element in the middle. It looked like a star. Moonlight smiled and put the necklace in a box. Then she slowly climbed into her bed. She shrank the box and put it underneath one of her pillows.

Without Moonlight

"Discord, can I ask you something?" Moonlight asked. They were both in Discord's room talking. Discord looked at her. "Of course you can." Moonlight sighed. "What was is like without me?" Discord looked a little confused. "What do you mean?" Moonlight looked him in the eyes. "What was it like before you met me?" Discord looked a little surprised. Why would she ask a question like that? But over time Discord had learned to expect the unexpected with Moonlight. He tried to think. "It was certainly different. I had no one to talk to but myself. Spreading chaos alone sometimes was not the most fun thing to do. Now that I think about it. Life before you was a little boring. I had to do everything by myself. At least with you I don't have to anymore. You are the greatest thing that has happened to me. After I found you I can't even think about what my life would be like without you anymore." Moonlight eyes widened. Discord continued. "I pretty much did the exact same thing every day. With you I can do so much more. And because you have your friends when you are occupied I can always go with one of them. They each have different views and it makes everything better." Moonlight looked at him. "Is that what lead you to create the Elements of Chaos?" Discord laughed. "You could say that. With the Elements it makes the power of chaos expand and grow. You could even say the Elements have a mind of their own. They each chose a pony to represent what they stand for. Their personality, talents, and view of everything had to make up what each Element represented. Some the Elements magic can also determine that pony's destiny." Moonlight nodded. "Sort of like how my Element had me destined to be with you. Thank you Discord."

Moonlight was visiting Discorded Swirls. "Discorded what was your life like before you met me?" Discorded turned to her. "Well....it was not much different. Every day I would practice my flying. Then I would go and corrupt other ponies. By the time I would finish I would be exhausted. I would take a two hour nap. When I woke up I would spy on other ponies and find something to do." Moonlight asked another question. "What about when you were a filly?" Discorded sat down and said. "Well that was slightly different. I would go to flight school. I would be gone for most of the day. Sometimes I would even have to help Cotton Feathers when she got teased by bullies. Then I would come home and I would play with my parents. Um hey Moonlight.....can I tell you a secret?" Moonlight walked over to her. "Sure." Discorded Swirls leaned over to Moonlight and whispered into her ear. "I used to have a crush on one of the colts that went there. His name was Blazing Dash." Moonlight giggled. "Don't worry. I won't tell. OR WILL I?" Discorded looked a little nervous. Moonlight laughed again. "I won't tell. I promise."

Moonlight went around asking all of her friends the same question. Star Dim said her life was more complicated before she met Moonlight. Chocolate said her life was not as fun. Crazed Candy said her life was full of too much work. Moonlight did not ask Cotton because they had known each other since they were fillies. But Cotton did say her life would be boring without Moonlight. "I made everyponys life better." Was what she realized in the end. If she had not met everyone there lives would be different.

Discord would still be alone.

Discorded would still have the same routine in her day.

Star Dim would have more pressure and work.

Chocolate would have nopony to talk to.

Crazed would still have work and no time to relax.

And Cotton would be bullied and made fun of.

Moonlight was glad she found Discord and she was happy she had her friends. Life with Moonlight made everyponys lives better.

Reformed Princesses

Discord was feeling bored so he went to see how Moonlight was doing. He flew over to her door and gave it a few knocks. "Moonlight, are you in there?" As if on cue he heard Moonlight call back. "Yes I'm in here. Do you need something?" Discord sighed and asked, "Would it be alright if I came in? I'm......a little bored." He heard hoof steps walk up to the door. Then he watched as Moonlight opened the door. "Finally! I've been waiting all day for you to ask me that!" Discord was surprised. "You have?" Moonlight smiled. "Of course I have. I'm bored too!" Moonlight grabbed his claw and pulled him into her room. Discord was shocked by how quickly she acted. "You must be pretty bored if you're THAT anxious to pull me in here." Moonlight's face turned a slight pink. "Sorry! You told me you were bored so I saw an opportunity and took it." Discord was still in shock. "You don't mind if I ask you to do something if I'm bored?" Moonlight smiled. "No. You got bored. Everyone get's bored eventually. So, what do you want me to do?" Discord got a little nervous. "Well I actually, I don't have anything." Moonlight tried to think. "Chaos?" Discord shook his head. "Too boring." Moonlight thought again. "Do you want to see if Chocolate has something?" Discord began to yawn. "Too boring." Moonlight was shocked. "Wow, you ARE bored aren't you?" Discord smiled and shrugged. Moonlight tried to think very hard. Then she gave him a sly grin. "Do you want to take your boredom out on Luna and Celestia?" Discord perked up. That wasn't a bad idea. Actually that was a very good idea. "That's not a bad idea." Discord said. Moonlight walked over to her window and opened it. Discord flew over, grabbed Moonlight's hoof, and flew off with her.

By the time Discord and Moonlight were finished with Celestia and Luna, they both looked ridiculous. Discord laughed. "That was better then I had expected." Moonlight was taking a bow and arrows that had sticky ends and shooting them towards Luna. Now Luna had arrows stuck all over her body. Moonlight used her magic to pull them off and said, "That was enjoyable. It's such a shame things had to end like this for them." Discord looked at her. "What do you mean?" Moonlight shot another arrow and it landed on Luna's wing. "I mean that it feels like they could still have a use. They have magic stronger then most ponies. Maybe in some way they could be useful. Couldn't they?" Discord thought about this. They did have strong magic. Maybe not as strong as his or Moonlight's, but maybe she was right. Maybe they could be useful. "Perhaps they could. Let's go home. We are going to have discuss this."

"Right after you were turned to stone and Celestia and Luna took over, everypony looked up to them because they were smart and powerful. If you used your magic to corrupt them. They might actually listen to you. They had many other ponies near them as part of the Royal Guard. If you wanted they could lead those guards and make sure all of Equestria is covered in chaos." Moonlight suggested. Discord was impressed. She knew so much about all this. "Just how often were you spying on them?" Moonlight laughed nervously. "Three times a day. It's not like I had anything else to do!" Discord laughed. "You are hilarious sometimes. But you do make a good point." Moonlight got closer. "Well?" Discord sighed. "Fine......let's go."

"Who do you want?" Discord asked. Moonlight glared at him. "What do you mean?" Discord replied, "There is two of them and two of us. If we are going to do this one of us is going to have give them orders. So would you rather have Luna or Celestia?" Moonlight thought. "Luna." Discord laughed. "I knew you were going to choose her." Moonlight glared at him. "What? Celestia drives me crazy! Besides I know you prefer her over Luna." Discord smiled. "That maybe true but I prefer YOU over Celestia." When they got to Luna and Celestia's statues Moonlight started to cast the same spell she used to free Discord. Slowly the statues began to break. Then Luna and Celestia stepped over the broken stone pieces and looked at each other. Then they looked up and saw Discord.

Luna and Celestia looked up at Discord. "What do you want Discord?" Celestia said. Discord rolled his eyes. "Oh relax Celestia. I'm not here to hurt you." Celestia looked at Luna. Discord went straight up to her and stared at her. Soon his red eyes turned into swirls of different colors. As Celestia looked into his eyes her eyes changed to match his. Luna tried to get her sister away. "Celestia stop!" But she was stopped by the Alicorn she had met before they were turned to stone. "Calm down Luna. Just relax." Then the Alicorns eyes changed into swirling colors. Luna's eyes then matched. Then both Luna and Celestia lost their color. Then dark magic covered both Luna and Celestia. Luna was transformed into Nightmare Moon once again. Celestia was slightly different. Her mane looked like flames, she had golden armor, and her coat turned a faint yellow. When they opened their eyes the put their horns together. A flash appeared causing hundreds of ponies to appear. On Celestia's side their were bright colored unicorns and pegasi with yellow armor. On Luna's side stood dark colored unicorns and pegasi with blue and purple armor. Then Celestia and Luna told their guards to spread across Equestria and make every part was covered in chaos. The princesses flew into the sky followed behind their guards. Luna and Celestia had become Nightmare Moon and Solar Flare.

The Kiss

Moonlight had almost forgotten how much fun this was! Spreading chaos with her friends was something she had done in months! And having Discord there made it even more fun! Cotton Feathers walked over to her. "Are you having fun?" Moonlight turned to her. "Actually yes. More fun then I have had for a while! I'm sorry if I said no to you before." Crazed Candy joined them and said, "That's okay. You were nervous. We all get nervous sometimes." Moonlight smiled. They continued to have fun all day. Eventually they all split up into different groups and went their own way. They wanted to enjoy the last few hours with their closest friends in the group.

Discorded Swirls, Chocolate Pie, and Crazed Candy were all together watching ponies in their misery. They were all together working as a team when things started to get a little competitive. "Hey Crazed! I bet you can't confuse as many ponies as I can corrupt." Crazed looked at her and smiled slyly. "Is that a challenge Discorded Swirls?" Discorded looked at her in the air. "Maybe." Crazed looked at the area of ponies then at Discorded. "You're on!" Discorded jumped in excitement. "Yes! Some competition! Chocolate Pie, you think you can keep score?" Chocolate smiled and then raced off and came back with glasses, a notepad, and a pencil. "No problem! I got this! Go!" Discorded Swirls and Crazed Candy raced off into the crowd of ponies.

Star Dim and Cotton Feathers were busy having some girl time together. "It is nice I can spend some time alone with you Cotton." Star Dim said. Cotton nodded. "Yes, it's nice. I have never met another pony besides Moony that loves fashion and clothing as much as I do. In fact you love it MORE than I do." Star Dim laughed. "Indeed darling. Don't you think we should have a little fun time to ourselves before we have to go?" Cotton Feathers nodded and pointed to a pony in the distance. "Let's go!"

Moonlight and Discord were having some time alone. "Have you had fun today?" Discord asked. Moonlight looked at him. "Yes. Today has been very fun. I just can't believe all this has happened." Discord pulled Moonlight closer and began playing with her mane. "I can tell, you haven't done anything like this for a while. I'm glad you changed that." Moonlight looked up at Discord. "Really? You seemed to be having fun, even without me." Discord shook his head. "No, you made the fun. We just joined it, but then we had to make our own fun. Belive me, I think it's much better with you and so do your friends." Moonlight sighed. "Why are you too perfect?" Discord's eyes widened. "Me? I don't know about perfect but.......Am I perfect?" Moonlight nodded. "Yes you are." Then the sun took the place of the moon. Discord looked at Moonlight. "Looks like we need to go back." Moonlight slowly opened her wings and flew back to say goodbye to her friends.

"Are you feeling okay?" Discord asked Moonlight. She nodded. "I'm just a little tired." Discord thought for a moment then quickly picked Moonlight up and flew upstairs. "Discord! What are you doing?" Moonlight asked. Discord looked at her. "I am bringing you to your room. You said you were tired." Moonlight sighed. Discord opened the door to Moonlights room and let her go. She gently fell onto her bed. "Thank you." Discord got closer to Moonlight and went straight up to her face. "Your welcome." Then he gently leaned over and kissed her on her forehead. "Good night." Then Discord quickly flew out of her room. Moonlight was paralyzed for a moment. "Discord.....kissed me. Discord kissed me. DISCORD KISSED ME!' Moonlight was amazed. Slowly she closed her eyes. "I love you Discord."

Advice and Drama

Moonlight woke up feeling warm. Her heart was beating very quickly and she felt extremely dizzy. "Why do I feel like this. I must be coming down with something." Across the hall Discord woke up feeling the exact same way. He got up and tried to find out what was wrong. Then he heard a knock. Moonlight opened the door slightly. "Sorry! May I come in?" Discord nodded. "Of course you can." Moonlight walked over to him. "I think something is wrong with me. I feel extremely hot and very dizzy." Discord looked at her with concern. "Is that so? Because I feel the exact same way." They both tried to think for a minute, then their eyes grew wide. Discord looked at her. "I have to go somewhere. Can you stay here?" Moonlight nodded. "Yes that's fine because I also have somewhere to go as well." Moonlight rushed out of the room. She grew even warmer and felt lightheaded. She decided she was going to ask Cotton Feathers if she knew what was wrong. Meanwhile Discord flew out of his window. He decided he was going to visit Star Dim. She understood drama and could help in situations like this.

Moonlight rushed up to Cotton Feathers home and knocked on her door. Cotton opened it slowly. "Hi Moony. Is something wrong?" Moonlight nodded. "Can I talk to you about something?" Cotton opened her door further. "Sure, come on in. Just make it quick. I have to meet Star at the spa in two hours." Moonlight slowly walked in and sat down next to her on a pink carpet. "So what do you need to talk to me about?" Moonlight sighed. "Well this morning when I first woke up I felt extremely warm and very dizzy. Discord told me he felt the same way." Cotton nodded then gave her a sly smile. "So...what did you two do last night?" Moonlight looked nervous and said, "Nothing, after everything that happened yesterday, we went home. I was tired so Discord brought me to my room and I fell asleep." Cotton gave her a glare. "And.......Moonlight I know your not telling me something." Moonlight looked even more nervous but replied anyway. "He kissed me."

Discord felt a little uncomfortable doing this. Especially asking a girl for advice. But for him Star Dim was the easiest to talk to out all the girls. He knocked on Stars door. Star Dim quickly came and opened the door. "Oh Discord! What are you doing here? Where is Moonlight?" Discord sighed. "She is not here. Can I talk to you about something?" Star Dim nodded. "Of course darling." Discord came in. Before he could speak Star started. "Before you say anything, does this have to do with Moonlight?" Discord smiled nervously. "You could say that." Star nodded. She began asking many questions. "Is she angry? Is she ignoring you? Is she being too quiet? Is she being herself too much?" Discord looked a little annoyed. "No, no, no, and why in Equestria would I NOT want her to be herself?" Discord looked up. Star had on purple reading glasses, and was writing things down on a notepad. She looked up and said, "I guess there is no reason for you not to want her to stop being herself. So whats wrong?" Discord looked at the floor. "I don't feel like myself. I feel incredibly warm and extremely lightheaded." Star continued to write things down. "Hmmm, and these feelings started this morning?" Discord nodded. Star continued. "Did you two do anything new, different, or crazy last night?" Discord tried to think back to last night. "No. After we went back home Moonlight said she felt tired, so I brought her to her room, and went to sleep." Then his eyes shrank. He said in a very quiet voice. "I feel like this because I kissed her." Star looked up. "What was that darling?" Discord turned to her. "I feel like this because I kissed her."

"Love? Cotton I already love Discord. So what does this have anything to do with love?" Moonlight said. Cotton rolled her eyes and smiled. "You said you felt like this when you first woke up right?" Moonlight nodded. Cotton continued. "And you also said Discord felt like this. Last night you said Discord kissed you. Your excitement from it is causing you to act like this. Do you know what this means? You and Discord are in love with each other! Literally!" Moonlights eyes grew wide. "Discord.....and me?" Cotton nodded. Moonlight pinned Cotton down. "Promise you won't tell anypony?" Cotton pushed her off and said, "I promise. Now I have to meet Star at the spa."

Star Dim looked over everything she wrote down. She looked up at Discord. "Well from what I have heard darling, there is only one answer. You are in love with Moonlight." Discord was frozen for a moment. "Really?......" Star Dim nodded. "From what you told me and from how you two have been acting. It's the only answer. You're not happy about that?" Discord looked up and raised his voice a little. "Of course I am! I'm just astounded. I can't believe it's true." Star Dim laughed. "I can darling." Discord looked at her. "You won't say a word about this to anypony. Right?" Star smiled. "My lips are sealed." Star looked at her clock. "Oh! I hate to end this so quickly but I have places to be." Discord nodded. "I understand. Thank you though." Star Dim walked out of her door. "Any time darling."

Cotton was waiting for Star at the spa. She quickly walked in. "Oh dear! Sorry for being so late darling. I had something I had to attend to." Cotton smiled. "That's okay. I'm just glad your here. Before I came here I had something as well." Star Dim raised her eye. "Oh what was it?" Cotton said, "Promise you won't tell anypony?" Star Dim nodded. She leaned in as Cotton whispered. "Moonlight came over. She had to speak to me about something." Star's eyes widened. "Really! Because Discord came to me earlier today to talk to me as well." Cotton gave her a sly grin. "Let me guess, Discord is in love with Moonlight?" Star nodded. Cotton continued. "I knew it. Moonlight talked to me and I told her that she and Discord were in love." Star got serious. "How did she take it?" Cotton just sighed. "She took it quite well. She was amazed actually." Star laughed. "Those two are full of the unexpected."

Stone Nights

Moonlight slowly opened her eyes. Stone was right in front of her face. "What's wrong Stone?" Moonlight asked. Stone quickly flew into the blanket and crawled into Moonlights hooves. She could feel him shaking. He felt a little cold and he looked worried. "It's okay Stone. Nopony is going to hurt you. Did you have a nightmare?" The cockatrice looked at her and nodded. Moonlight pushed the blankets away. "Well since you already woke me up, do you want to go outside for a while?" Stone went onto Moonlights back and rubbed against her mane. Moonlight walked over to the window. "Alright, but you have to be quiet. Discord is probably not awake yet." Stone jumped off her back and flew out the window. Moonlight was about to open her wings when she heard a noise by her door. She slowly walked over and opened the door. She looked around and into the hall. Nothing. Moonlight smiled. "Discord? Is that you?" She heard nothing. So she walked over to the window. She opened her wings and flew out the window. Then she felt something touch her. She turned around and saw Discord behind her. She laughed. "So that WAS you. What are you doing out here?" Discord smiled. "I heard you saying you were going outside with Stone. I figured I might as well follow you." Moonlight looked at him. "You were eavesdropping on me again weren't you?" Discord pretended to look hurt. "What! I can't help it!" Moonlight flew over to him and hugged him. "Don't worry. I'm fine with you doing that. I sometimes do the same with you." Discord looked shocked. "And just how many times have you done that?" Moonlight laughed nervously. "Three or four times already. I can't help it either." Discord laughed. Then he pointed behind her. "I think Stone is looking for you." Moonlight turned around and saw the cockatrice. He looked a little hurt. Moonlight stroked his scales and feathers. "Come on Stone. I won't leave you alone again."

Moonlight took Stone to a small spot in the Everfree Forest she had found recently. It was a small bit of land surrounded by trees. A small pond was in the middle and a small pile of rocks that Stone liked to climb on. At the front of the ring of trees there was a small cliff with a ledge where Moonlight could see everything. She laid down next to Discord and watched Stone fly around and climb on the rocks. Discord watched as the cockatrice moved from place to place. "That is a very active cockatrice." Moonlight looked at him and sighed. "He has not been outside for a while. He could use a little running around and freedom. Besides I think I could use a bit of night air as well." Discord looked down at her. Then he saw her horn beginning to glow. The stars began to switch and move and then they turned into chaotic shapes and patterns. After a while she looked down at Stone. He looked a little lonely. "I think I'm going to give Stone a little company." Moonlight slipped out of Discord's grasp and flew down to Stone. He looked more excited. Then Moonlight began to chase Stone and flew around with him. Then Stone knocked Moonlight over and curled next to her. Discord could hear Moonlight laughing. "Come on Stone! Get off me!" The cockatrice just walked on her and still refused to move. Discord flew over to her. "Discord can you get him off me? He won''t move!" Discord just stared at her. "No." Moonlight looked surprised. She smiled and said."What! Why not?" Then Stone began to tickle her with his claws. Discord laughed as Stone ran his claws through Moonlights fur, tickling her. Moonlight began to laugh. "Discord help me!" Discord continued to laugh. "No, this is too funny." Moonlight continued laughing. "I'm going to get you back for this!" Discord smirked. "And how are you going to do that? You still have a cockatrice on top of you." Moonlight tried to stop laughing. "I don't know. But I am going to get him off of me!" Discord flew up to her face. "I don't think so." Then Discord took his claw and raised in the air. Moonlight stopped laughing for a small moment. "Don't.....you.....dare!" Discord gave a devious smile. "Sorry but your not being tortured enough." Moonlights eyes shrank. "Oh please no." Discord brought his claw down and began to run it completely down Moonlights body. Moonlight laughed even harder. "Discord please stop! I can't take it!" Discord stopped for a moment. Then he looked at Stone and thought for a minute. "No." Then he continued. Moonlight could hardly breathe. So she cast a spell and disappeared. Discord looked around. "Now where did she go?" Then Moonlight appeared in the air and pushed him down. Then she cast a spell on Stone causing him to stand still. Then she did the same with Discord. Discord smiled nervously. He tried to move but he was stuck. Moonlight returned the smile but it was a very sly looking one. Then she pulled one of her larger feathers from her wings. Then she aimed the feather at Discord. "I told you I was going to get you back!" Discord sighed. "Bring it on. Do your worst my dear." Moonlight lowered the feather and started to tickle him. For some reason she knew exactly which places to tickle him. Discord began to laugh. Eventually he couldn't take it. He snapped his fingers and pinned Moonlight down. Her eyes shrank. "I'm toast right?" Discord nodded. "Oh you have no idea."

Moonlight sighed. "What are you going to do to me?" Discord moved closer to her. "You'll see...." Then he snapped his fingers causing Moonlights wings and horn to disappear. Moonlight looked at her back and saw her wings were gone. Then she looked up and saw her horn was gone. "What was that for?" She looked up. Discord was gone. She looked around for a while but she still could not find him. "Discord! Where are you?" Then she felt something grab her. She did not have her wings so she could not fly. And she did not have her horn so she could not cast a spell. Then she looked up, it was Discord. "Got you!" Moonlight tried to move but Discord held her tightly. Moonlight could feel Discord's paw running through her mane. She felt so relaxed and comfortable like this she didn't want it to stop. Then Discord put Moonlight down. She looked a little tired. "I think it's time we went home, don't you?" Moonlight watched as Stone crawled on her back then he curled his tail around her so he would not fall off. "It looks like it is time." Discord quickly grabbed Moonlight and flew back with her out into the distance.

The Perfect Day

Discord had been trying to figure this out for weeks. After he visited Star Dim, and especially after what happened last night with Moonlight his mind was completely full of things he had done. Slowly everything pieced itself together, everything fell into place.

Then he realized what he need to do. He knew this was going to be very hard to do, but it would all be worth it in the end. He snapped his fingers and five slips of paper appeared. They were for each one of Moonlights friend. Slowly they began to fade and were sent away one by one. He snapped his fingers again and a small box appeared. He grabbed it and flew out of his room. Discord slowly opened the door to Moonlights room. She was still asleep. He walked over to her and gently touched her horn. Hopefully the spell would work and she would stay asleep a little longer. He flew out her room and shut the door. Today had to be perfect. And he was going to make sure it would stay perfect no matter what.

Moonlight heard a knock on her. She slowly walked over and opened. It was Discorded Swirls. "Hey Moonlight! Just wanted to let you know that Discord, the girls, and I are going out to have some fun. You want to come with us? It's going to be awesome!" Moonlight looked back into her room, Stone was still asleep and she did not want to leave him alone. "That sounds like fun. Do you mind if Stone comes with us? He could a little fresh air and I don't want to leave." Discorded nodded. "Of course he can come! The more the better!" Moonlight smiled. "I'll be down in a minute, just let me get him up." Discorded flapped her wings and went in the air. "Sure, take your time." Moonlight shut her door. Then she looked at Stone. Getting him up in the morning was always hard. He was a very heavy sleeper. Whenever he fell asleep almost nothing could wake him up. Moonlight walked over to his bed of blankets and pillows. She shook him gently. "Come on Stone. You need to get up. We are all going out and everyone wants you to come." For some unexpected reason, Stone woke up and rushed around her and flew out the door. Moonlight was surprised. "That was a lot easier then I thought." She slowly walked out of her room and went downstairs. If her friends were here this early, then today was probably going to be full of fun.

Discord had been watching Moonlight after she woke up. He heard she was going to bring Stone with them. Discord rolled his eyes and groaned. He had seen Moonlight try to wake up the cockatrice before. It was a long, slow, and hard process to get him up. He watched as she walked over to Stone. "Come on Stone you need to get up. We are all going out, and everyone wants you to come." Discord was not about let the cockatrice ruin his plans so he snapped his fingers causing Stone to quickly wake up. Discord sighed in relief, so far so good. He then disappeared and went downstairs. After waiting for a while he started to feel warm. Not now! This can't be happening now! Come on Discord! Calm Down! Is what he was yelling in his head. Star Dim noticed this. Seeing that she was the one who talked to him, she walked over to him. "Calm down darling. You're going to be fine." Then Moonlight came down the stairs. "Sorry I took so long to come down. Can we go now?" Cotton Feathers walked over to her. "We can go now."

All day Moonlight spent having fun with her friends. Finally the middle of the day came. "Does anypony want to come to my place for cake and ice cream?" Chocolate Pie offered. Discorded Swirls flew in front of her face. "Wait you mean came and ice cream, for lunch?!" Chocolate Pie nodded. "Mmmm hmmm. I made some this morning." Discorded grabbed her. "Anything involving cake and ice cream......sign me up!" Crazed Candy stepped forward. "That sounds like a real treat. I'll go." Cotton added. "That sounds like fun." Star Dim sighed. "I really shouldn't but....maybe just this one time...." Chocolate smiled. "Very we'll! Ice cream and cake it is!" Then she led the way back to her place. She pushed them all inside and opened a small box filled with different flavors of ice cream. "Chocolate, just how many flavors do you have?" Cotton Feathers asked. Chocolate walked over to a large freezer and opened the doors to see many more containers filled with ice cream. "Oh I have to tons of flavors! You can have what ever kind you want!" The girls all put their hooves on whatever they liked, except Moonlight and Discord. Discord looked at her, then Moonlights horn flashed and a container of ice cream appeared. She opened the lid revealing a swirled mixture of brown and pink ice cream. Moonlight gave Discord a sly smile, he returned it and snapped his fingers. Then two spoons appeared. Chocolate looked at the ice cream they were eating. "Oh is that chocolate and strawberry? Or is it just REALLY swirly ice cream?" Discord swallowed his ice cream and said. "No." Moonlight stopped eating and said, "It's a mixture of chocolate milk and cotton candy flavored ice cream." Then she reached her spoon into the container and pulled out a large portion of chocolate milk flavored ice cream and shoved it into her mouth. "Some of the best ice cream I have ever had." She said after she swallowed. Chocolate gasped. She looked into the container. "You have chocolate milk and cotton candy flavored ice cream! That is amazing! I wish I could have some!" Moonlight shoved another large mouthful of ice cream into her mouth. Then her horn began to glow. Chocote gasped as a container of ice cream appeared in front of her. Moonlight swallowed. "Here, you can have some. We have plenty." Chocolate squealed. Then looked at her. "How much IS plenty?" Moonlight laughed nervously. "An entire room full of it." Chocolate shrieked. "Oh my gosh! Thank you thank you thank you!" She took a large spoon and put the ice cream in her mouth. When she swallowed her eyes got REALLY big. "Um, Chocolate Pie? Are you feeling okay?" Crazed asked. Then Chocolate ran up to Moonlight and knocked her down. "Moonlight! THIS IS THE BEST ICE CREAM I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!" Moonlight stared blankly at her for a minute. "Thanks.......I'm glad you.......liked it." Chocolate got off of her and stood up. "Sorry! So.....um.....does this mean we're going back out again?"

After a while everyone split up. Star Dim, Chocolate Pie, Cotton Feathers, and Moonlight went to the spa. Discord, Crazed Candy, and Discorded Swirls went elsewhere. Discord had only went with Crazed and Discorded so he could think. The day was slowly going by. So far everything was going according to plan but......everyone once in a while he would get nervous. Anything could happen. Then Discorded came over. "Discord! Are you coming?" Discord turned to face her. "Yes, I'm coming." He slowly followed her and tried to forget everything, to try and have fun.

"Ahh! This is so relaxing." Star Dim said. She was getting a hooficure with Cotton Feathers. Chocolate was getting a facial, and Moonlight was getting her mane and tail done. "Mmm! This IS relaxing!" Chocolate said as she ate the cucumbers on her eyes. Moonlight was almost finished with her treatment. She slowly she stepped into a small room. When she came out she was wearing a black, blue, and purple dress. It had sequence and glitter all over it. She had blue shoes with a moon on each of them and covered in sparkles. Her mane was incredibly curly and fluffed up. Her eye shadow was now a deep purple with wisps of light blue. Her hooves were so polished everypony could see their reflection in them. "Moonlight darling, you look gorgeous!" Star Dim said. Moonlight walked over to them. "Thanks. I'm sure you will look magnificent too!" Star Dim looked at her. "Oh no darling. That dress looks so well on you! It matches your mane and eyes, your mane is lovely, and all of you is just....amazing!" Chocolate jumped over to her. "Yes! She's right, you do look nice! Wait until Discord sees you!" Moonlight gave them a small smile. "Um...thanks. Is it really that nice?" Cotton spoke up. "Of course it does. You look perfect." Then Star Dim finished and was gone for a while. When she returned she had a pink and white dress on. It had a lining of pink fur around her neck, and her mane was styled with large curls, making her hair look wavy. "See, I told you that you would look amazing too!" Moonlight said. Star walked over to her. "Yes darling, but I don't have somepony that I can impress." Moonlights eyes widened. "Discord won't......" Star Dim pulled her closer. "Moonlight darling, if we like the way you look in that outfit, Discord is going to LOVE you like this." Just then Cotton and Chocolate came out. Chocolate was wearing a hot pink dress with thin brown and white stripes at the bottom. She had a white and pink bow in her mane with sparkles everywhere. Cotton had a light blue dress emerald green ribbons laced around her hoofs. Moonlights eyes widened. "Wow... looks like all of us look amazing."

Crazed Candy was talking to Discorded Swirls and Discord when she saw Star Dim, Cotton Feathers, and Chocolate Pie. "Look! They're back!" Discorded Swirls and Discord looked over and saw them walking up. Discorded looked at them. "Wow...you guys look nice. Where is Moonlight?" Star Dim smiled and fluttered her eyes. "Don't worry. She's coming!" Then they saw Moonlight walking towards them. Discord was frozen. She was wearing a dress just like Star, Chocolate and Cotton, but this one seemed to make her sparkle and almost glow. Her mane looked different. It was very curly and fluffy. And just her eye shadow made her look completely different. Star Dim wrapped a hoof around her. "Doesn't she look just fabulous! I almost did not recognize her when we first saw her." Moonlight smiled. "Thanks. Are we going to do anything else?" She looked at Discord. He was still frozen. "Um...Discord....are you okay?" Discord blinked. "Sorry! I guess I just phased out for a moment. I was thinking for the last few hours we could just split into our regular groups and have fun." Cotton nodded. "That sounds nice." Chocolate giggled. "I like that!" Discorded flew next to Crazed. "I'm in!" Star smiled. "Me too." Then everypony got with each other and went their own ways. Moonlight walked over to Discord. "Where is Stone?" Discord looked at her. "I left him in that small spot in the forest you showed me last night." Moonlight looked a little nervous. "Don't worry! I put up a shield so he can't get lost." Moonlight sighed. "Were are we going to go then?" Discord looked into Moonlights eyes. It was time. He grabbed her and flew off.

Proposing

What is happening? Where is Discord taking me? Moonlight a little nervous. But having Discord holding her was so comfortable it was hard to think about that nervous feeling. This has to be perfect. I can't mess this up now. She is too important. Everything was slowly coming together, the day was almost done. Everything was making him nervous. I'm going to ruin everything. I can't do this. Why am I doing this?" Then Discord looked down and remembered why. It was for Moonlight. Through everything he had done good or bad, she cared about him anyway. Out of every stallion in the world she chose him. Though most did not appeal to his looks, she did. Though almost everypony was not fond of his magic, she was. She was different, unique, and special. Why was he doing this? She loved him, and he loved her.

"Why are we here? Aren't we supposed to be spreading chaos with the others?" Moonlight asked. Discord looked at her. "I have something else planned. Did you have fun today?" Moonlight nodded. "I did! Today was amazing, chaos in the morning, ice cream and cake for lunch, I went to the spa, this day has been perfect." Discord smiled. "Then I think your going to like what's next. And speaking of the spa, I love your dress. It fits you very well." Moonlight turned a slight shade of pink. "Thank you. This is one of my favorite dresses." Discord began playing with her hair. "How did you get your mane like this? You look nice having curly hair." Moonlight looked at her mane. "It's actually not that hard. I just need to get it slightly wet and have a large hair dryer or breeze, and my hair curls. So what is it you have planned?" Discord sighed. It was time.

After everypony had split up Chocolate had decided for the very last moment of the day, she wanted everyone to be together. So she gathered up the girls and went to go find Moonlight and Discord. They eventually found them but before Chocolate could do anything Star pulled her back. "Chocolate darling, Discord is doing something, give them a minute." Chocolate hopped back. "Okie dokie lokie!" The girls watched until they saw saw Discord holding something behind his back. Star Dim looked closely at the item then she waved a hoof. "Cotton Feathers darling, come over here." She pointed to the object Discord was holding. Cotton looked at it. "Is that what I think it is?" Star Dim nodded. "It is." Cotton looked at her. "He's actually going to......." Star looked at Discord. "He's going to propose."

Discord held his claw behind his back. Then the small box he had this morning appeared. "Moonlight, you are a very special pony. Your magic and your beauty are only two of the characteristics that I love about you. How you can see the beauty in everything, and everything about you is special to me. A life without you in it is a life I don't want to live." He looked at Moonlight. Her eyes were wide and she looked amazed. "I was feeling a little nervous about this earlier but....the truth is I love you, you are mine, my dear Moonlight......." Discord stopped. Moonlight looked at him. Then she saw it. It was behind his back. A small box. It was big enough to hold..........Then Moonlight felt like her heart stopped. She knew what that was, she knew what he was doing. He was proposing. Moonlight could not breathe. "YES!" She jumped into the air and knocked him down. She wrapped her hooves around him. Discord watched as tears fell down her face. They were tears of happiness. "I love you Discord." Discord smiled, he had never felt so happy before. He put his claw underneath her chin, and tipped her face towards his. She was smiling, and tears were falling down her face. "Don't get emotional just yet, I haven't even shown you the ring yet!" Discord said. Then slowly Discord brought the box up to her face, he opened it to reveal one of the most beautiful things Moonlight ever saw. It was a small ring with a large blue gem in the middle with two smaller purple ones on each side. The ring itself was made out a beautiful pale glass. Discord took the ring out a slipped it onto Moonlights horn. Moonlight then suddenly felt Discord pulling her closer, and closer. Then she knew what was going to happen. Moonlight felt herself being pulled closer she closed her eyes and then felt her lips meet with Discord's. She felt a spark run through her entire body. Everything was perfect.

When Moonlight and Discord finally met up with everypony else they were all looking at them. "You all saw what happened didn't you?" Discord said. Cotton smirked. "Oh, we saw EVERYTHING." Then they all rushed towards Moonlight. "Come on darling let's see it!" Star said. Moonlight used her magic to lift the ring off her horn and held it the middle for everypony to see. "Ooooh! It's so pretty, and shiny!" Chocolate said. "It's so lovely!" Cotton Feathers said. "It's not bad." Discorded Swirls said. Star walked over to Discord. "It's lovely, I'm very proud of you Discord." Moonlight took the ring and put on her horn again. She was now engaged to The Lord of Chaos himself.

The Wedding

About a week after Discord had proposed to Moonlight they got married. It had been a very exciting day for both of them but they had both been very nervous. But they both made it through the entire process. Discord had never seen Moonlight this happy before, not even when he proposed. He felt like the luckiest Draconequus in Equestria, and he was.

"Moonlight Chaos, you look amazing darling!" Star Dim said in delight. Moonlight smiled. "Thanks, Star. I can't believe it! I'm marrying Discord! This has to be the best day of my life." Star smiled. "It's going to be, I'm so happy for you. Discord's mouth will be on the ground when he sees you." Moonlight giggled. "You made it Star Dim!" Star walked towards her. "Yes but your the one wearing it. And you look perfect." It was true, Moonlight had a black, silk dress on. Though usually it was a white dress that the bride had to wear, Moonlight wanted to be different. Small blue stripes lined the edge, and a small veil was attracted to a crown. Chocolate Pie bounced towards her. "I am SOOOOO happy for you! Just think about it! You and Discord together, forever!" Moonlight's smile grew wider. "Forever......." Chocolate Pie nodded. "Forever." Then she began to cry. Large fountains of water came pouring out. "This is so beautiful!" Star Dim sighed. "Chocolate, your going to ruin Moonlight's dress. Calm down dear!" Then Chocolate stopped crying. "Okie dokie lokie! I wonder how Cotton Feathers, Discord, Crazed Candy, and Discorded Swirls are doing?" Moonlight sighed. "I do too, do you think he dosen't want to do this anymore?" Star shook her head. "No darling, he loves you. And after all this even if he gets cold feet he will still do it. This is real, this dream is becoming reality."

"Discord! Are you getting cold feet now?" Discorded Swirls asked. Discord shook his head. "Of course not! Why would I be scared?" Crazed Candy gave him a look. "Well, for starters your hanging from the ceiling, second your shaking like crazy!" Discord sighed. "Alright fine! I am a little scared! Who wouldn't be, especially when I'm marrying someone like her......." Discord slowly let go from the ceiling. Crazed Candy smiled. "Look, you know as much as I do that she loves you. You love her to, enough to propose to her and be willing to marry her! Remember what she did when you asked her to marry you?" Discord nodded. "I had never seen her so happy. Do you really think I can do this?" Crazed Candy nodded. "I do." Discorded Swirls cut in. "So do I, and normally I'm not into this kind of mushy, gross stuff." Discord glanced towards a nearby mirror. He glared at his reflection. Most ponies hated the way he looked, but to Moonlight it was like looking at treasure. She loved him, that's all that mattered. He turned around to see Crazed Candy and Discorded Swirls holding his tuxedo. He sighed. "I must be out of my mind......." Crazed Candy laughed. "You are out of your mind!" Discorded smiled. "And your awesome because of it!" Discord grabbed the tuxedo and put it on. "Let's do this."

After Discord had walked down the aisle he began to get nervous again. Cotton Feathers eyed him. "Are you nervous?" Discord growled. "Will you stop that! Yes I'm nervous! I'm marrying the most amazing pony in the world! Who wouldn't be? Besides your just my best mare, and I'm starting to regret making that decision." Cotton sighed. "Look I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that. Just calm down, this will all be worth it in the end." Discord wiped beads of sweat from his forehead. "I hope your right........And is it just me or is it hot in here?" He began to tug on his collar. Star Dim leaned towards him from the alter. "Relax Discord." Cotton Feathers clapped her hoofs. "I can't wait to see what Moonlight looks like!" Star Dim smiled. "Trust me, she's perfect." Discord turned to her. "Exactly how perfect IS perfect?" His question was then answered. The bride was here, when Discord saw her his jaw dropped to the floor. Star Dim giggled. "I knew you where going to do that!" Chocolate Pie followed behind Moonlight. She had begged the both of them to be the flower girl even though she was a bit to old for the job. She threw flower petals and candy everywhere. Discord was still in shock when Moonlight made her way up to the altar. Star Dim cleared her throat. "Fillies and gentlecolts we are gathered here today to honor the union of Discord and Moonlight Chaos. Never in the history of Equestria has there been a love more powerful then the one between these two." Star Dim turned to Moonlight. "Moonlight Chaos do you take this Draconequus to be your lawfully wedded husband as long as you both shall live?" Moonlight stared into Discord's eyes and felt a spark travel through her body. "I do." Star Dim then turned to Discord. "And do you Discord take this mare to be your lawfully wedded wife as long as you both shall live?" Discord felt like he was going to die from the heat he felt, but just looking at Moonlight made that feeling cool down. He wanted this more then anything. He wanted her. "Yes, I do." Star Dim smiled. "Then in that case may I have the rings?" Stone who had been waiting in a corner flew towards her with two rings. One was put on Moonlight's horn, the other was placed on Discord's lion paw. Star Dim continued. "By the power vested in me I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now....." But Discord didn't wait for her to finish. He grabbed Moonlight and pulled her close to him. Moonlight leaned towards him and the two shared a long kiss. Star Dim gasped. "Oh my." She said with a smile. Chocolate Pie began crying again. Cotton Feathers smirked. "Nice job Moony. You got the Draconequus of your dreams." She whispered to herself. Discorded Swirls felt tears form in her eyes. "Darn it, now they got me acting all sappy and gross!" Crazed Candy chuckled. "Relax, you can show a little emotion. For Moonlight remember?" Discorded Swirls sighed. "Okay, okay. Moonlight's lucky." Crazed Candy turned to her. "She's lucky because she married, or because your crying in front of her?" Discorded shrugged. "A little bit of both." Moonlight looked up at Discord, he had a big smile on his face. She felt Discord pulling her closer. Moonlight was the happiest pony in Equestria, she didn't want any of this to end.

After the ceremony, the reception was held. Moonlight Chaos and Discord began to dance and their friends joined in. Just as everything was ending Moonlight was about to toss her bouquet of flowers into the air. All the mares got closer, then the bouquet flew into the air. Star Dim ran towards it. "MINE!" But instead of landing her hooves it flew straight into Stone's grasp. The cockatrice wrapped his tail around the bouquet. Everypony laughed. When everyone left Discord turned to Moonlight. "Are you ready to go home?" Moonlight sighed. "Home......" Discord smiled and picked her up. He snapped his fingers and they were standing outside of Discord's house. Only this time it looked bigger. "I hope you don't mind but I made a few adjustments." He opened the doors and everything looked different. The rooms were bigger and there were doors and stairs everywhere. "I love it!" Moonlight said. Discord flew up the stairs and stopped in front of a door. "I think your really going to like this next one." He opened the door revealing a large room. Cotton candy clouds were everywhere and there was a mixture of things that belonged to Moonlight and Discord. "Is this.....OUR bedroom?" Moonlight asked. Discord nodded. "Yes, our bedroom." Moonlight flew over to him and gave him a very big hug. Discord gave her a gentle squeeze. "You are the best." Moonlight said in a very cheerful voice. Discord smiled. "You can explore tomorrow but for now we can have some alone time together." Moonlight gave him a sly grin. "That's a good idea." Even though nobody else was there Discord locked the door. She was his, and he was going to keep it that way. Discord took Moonlight over to the bed and let her crawl in. Discord laid down next to her. Moonlight phased out looking at Discord. He was the most amazing thing in the world. And to him she was the most amazing thing in the world. Discord got closer to her. "Goodnight." Moonlight smiled. Discord gave her a gentle kiss. The light's started to dim. "Sleep well, my beautiful bride." Moonlight could pratically feel all of his love flood into her. A warm feeling filled her body. She was now Discord's wife. She was his, she was his bride, she was his other half, she was his Moonlight Chaos. Discord felt his life was complete, he had the pony he loved. She was so innocent and perfect. He had a Queen of Chaos. And together they would rule Equestria. Maybe after a while they could have a foal and have a family. He would then be Daddy Discord. Spirit of Chaos, ruler of Equestria, a husband, and a father.

Memories of Chaos and Discord

Moonlight Chaos woke slowly. She found she was outside. She quickly stood upright and looked behind her. Then she remembered, Discord had been turned to stone by Luna and Celestia, she had fallen asleep in front of his statue. She looked around, the sun was high in the sky, the birds were singing and everything was peaceful. Moonlight hated it. She was used to seeing cotton candy clouds everywhere, things out of place, and everything in a discorded order. Moonlight heard somepony coming so she ducked behind a statue of a pony playing music. It was two earth ponies. She heard them talking, "Can you believe it? Harmony is in the land. No more chaos and disorder. No more cotton candy, no more soap roads, and no more chocolate rain." Moonlight frowned. She loved the chocolate rain. She loved the soap roads, and she loved Discord. She continued listening as the other one began talking. "I know. It's so beautiful. Luna and Celestia were so brave to stand up for us. Whatever made all of that." Moonlight began to grit her teeth, it hurt nopony appreciated chaos. And nopony probably ever would. When the two ponies walked away she walked back to Discord. She pressed her hoof against the cold, hard stone. She remembered what Discord had told her before Celestia and Luna turned him to stone. To make sure nopony saw her. She would be safer that way. And Celestia and Luna would not turn her to stone again. She looked up and said, "I am sorry I have to leave you. I promise I will be back. I will get you out..... eventually." She quickly turned and began running. She needed to find one of her friends. And fast. Moonlight began thinking, who was one of her friends she could get to quickly. Then she thought, Star Dim. She was very close and she could get there very quickly. She ran as fast as she could.

Moonlight stepped up to the door of Star Dim's dress shop. The Black Carousel. She slowly knocked. Star Dim quickly opened the door and let her in. Star walked up to her. "Lucky for you, I was the one you came to. The girls and I all agreed to stay here until you came looking for us." Star turned on the light and saw her friends sitting on the other side of the room. Crazed Candy said, "Are you going to be okay sugarcube?" Star Dim and Cotton Feathers walked over to her. They were her closest friends and understood her better than any of the girls. Cotton Feathers said, "It's going to be okay." Star Dim put a hoof on Moonlight and said, "Cotton Feathers is right darling. You can stay with me for now if you want. And don't worry about Discord. He is going to be fine." Moonlight nodded she went over to the window. She looked at the sky expecting the moon to rise, but the sun stayed in it's place. Then Moonlight heard a voice. It was saying her name, "Moonlight." She quickly turned around and said, "Did you hear that?" The girls looked at her and shook their heads. Moonlight lowered her head and said, "Star, I will stay with you until the afternoon. Then I am going home. I need some time alone." Star Dim said in reply, "Of course darling. I understand." Star looked at the girls motioning for them to leave. They all nodded and trotted out the door. Moonlight looked up at the sky once again and thought. "Today is going to be a long day."

For the first part of the day Moonlight spent with Star. When she went out to run errands Moonlight would mix up her house. It reminded her of Discord. When Star came back Moonlight put everything in it's place. Around ten Star Dims younger sister came to visit. Her name was Sweetie Blossom. Moonlight had to hide for most of her visit. She noticed Sweetie Blossom tried to help her sister a lot but it would always end in a disaster. Then when eleven came and Sweetie Blossom had to leave, Moonlight came out from hiding. "Star, I think I am going to go home." Star Dim looked a little worried and said, "Are you sure about that Moonlight darling? This is a very busy time of day. A lot of ponies are out right now. You could be seen." Moonlight smirked and said, "No problem." Moonlight's horn flickered and she transformed into a pegasus with curly hair. Star shrieked, "Moonlight! Your horn, it's gone! You have no magic!" Moonlight giggled and said, "Don't worry. It is only a spell. I can reverse it. Discord showed me how to do it." Moonlights smile quickly faded and then she said, "Bye Star. I will see you tonight." Star nodded and waved her hoof as Moonlight walked off. She noticed Moonlight walked in the shadows of ponies and buildings and looked frightened just walking past a young filly. Star Dim hoped this would not last too long and shut her door quietly.

Moonlight walked into her room and landed on her bed. The house was the only thing that was not changed when Luna and Celestia reversed all of Discord's chaotic spells. She slowly walked down the hall and walked into Discord's bedroom. She flew on to his bed. It was so soft. Moonlight felt very tired and fell asleep. In her dreams she constantly saw Discord. He was so close and yet so far away. All of the memories she had just washed into one dream. Some made her laugh, others made her cry. More then anything she wanted to see him again. She wanted chaos back. She wanted Discord back. And she would do anything to make that happen.

The Elements of Chaos

Nightmare Moon and Celestia looked at Discord. "How are you here? This is not possible. This makes no sense." Celestia said. Discord smiled innocently. "So boring Celestia. Always trying to be practical. And what fun is there in making sense?" Nightmare Moon looked at him and said, "How did you escape?" Discord looked behind him in the darkness. Slowly a dark blue Alicorn crept out of the darkness and gave them a wicked smile. Celestia gasped. "A THIRD Alicorn?" Nightmare Moon growled and said, "I told you there was a third! But you never listen to me!" Discord laughed. "Let's just say I had a little assistance." Celestia aimed the Elements of Harmony at him. "No matter. You can go right back to stone." The third Alicorn flew in front of him. "I don't think so PRINCESS CELESTIA." Discord smirked. "Meet Moonlight Chaos, Celestia. She is the one you should thank for setting me free." Celestia glared at the Alicorn. "Then she can be turned to stone along with you." Moonlight shook her head. "Again, sorry, but it won't happen. Prepare to get a taste of your own medicine." Celestia and Nightmare Moon looked confused. Moonlight used her magic and made five other ponies appear. She cast a spell on them allowing them to walk in the air. Celestia and Nightmare Moon noticed they all had necklaces on them. They looked just like the Elements of Harmony. "There are more of you! Discord what have you done?" Discord just rolled his eyes and said, "Celestia, meet the Elements of Chaos. Star Dim the Element of Darkness. Chocolate Pie the Element of Fun. Crazed Candy the Element of Confusion. Discorded Swirls the Element of Corruption. Cotton Feathers the Element of Power. And you have already met Moonlight. The Element of Chaos." Moonlight began to cast a spell her Element began to glow brightly. Then all the other Elements began to light up as well. Celestia quickly used the Elements of Harmony. A rainbow colored beam shot out from the Elements of Harmony while a darker more chaotic stream came from the Elements of Chaos. Eventually Celestia could feel her power drain. "Luna help me!" Nightmare Moon still wanted her eternal night. But she did not want her sister to be destroyed by a monster like Discord! She flew over and a bright cerulean beam came from her horn. But it was not strong enough. Soon Discord came over a caused a yellow beam of magic to come from his paw. Nightmare Moon and Celestia tried hard to block the spell, but Discord's magic was stronger. The Elements of Harmony flew into the air, the magic from the Elements of Chaos hit Celestia and Nightmare Moon. Celestia was trapped. Nightmare Moons dark magic left and turned her back into Princess Luna. Then Luna was trapped. They had terrified looks on their faces. Then they watched as Moonlight called into the darkness. "Stone! Come here Stone!" Luna and Celestia watched as a cockatrice slithered out from the darkness into the light of the moon.

Luna and Celestia glared at the cockatrice. "Discord is that......a cockatrice?" Luna asked. Her face was full of fear. Discord looked at the cockatrice. "It is. And it going to show you what it feels like to be a statue. It is quite uncomfortable standing there for a long time." Luna was shocked. "How where you even able to tame a cockatrice?" Discord looked at the cockatrice. "Don't ask me." Luna and Celestia watched as the cockatrice flew over to the Alicorn and watched it snuggle against her. "Discord, stop this at once." Discord pretended to look hurt. "Sorry but he listens to Moonlight. And I'm not stopping her. Besides why would I do that? Aren't we having so much fun?" Celestia watched as the Alicorn pointed to them. The cockatrice jumped off her back and flew up to their faces. Celestia shut her eyes. "Discord please. Make her stop!" Discord put his claw underneath her face. "Sorry Celestia. But I am not stopping the pony that means everything to me." Celestia's eyes widened. "What!" The cockatrice flew in front of her face and stared into her eyes. Celestia slowly began to turn to stone. Luna shrieked. "Discord, stop this. Please leave her alone!" But Discord ignored her. Luna watched as the stone began to creep over Celestia's body. Then Celestia was completely turned to stone. Luna was paralyzed. Then the cockatrice flew over to her. Luna covered her eyes. Discord sighed. "Come on Luna. You can't keep those eyes of yours shut forever." Luna, with her eyes still closed said, "Try me. There is no way I will give in to a monster like you." Moonlight looked hurt. She hated it when ponies called Discord a monster. She was going to make sure Luna would regret saying that. "Don't you EVER call him that again!" Luna was shocked. "You are actually defending him? Do you know what he has done? He does not deserve mercy. He does not deserve a second chance. He IS a monster." Moonlight was ready to scream. She began to grit her teeth and growled. Discord was not hurt by this. He was used to being called things like a monster. But he knew Moonlight was not. He flew over to Moonlight. She looked up at him. "I'm sorry. I guess I will just have to get used to having ponies call you that." Discord smiled and said, "No you won't." Discord flew back over to Luna. Luna had her eyes shut tight. "I won't let you win Discord." Discord sighed. "Fine." Luna opened her eyes. She watched as Discord snapped his fingers. Luna slowly began to turn to stone. "Then I won't let you win either. You played well Luna. But not well enough." Luna tried to think. She only had a few moments. Then she noticed the Alicorn. She did not want to do this. Even to a pony who trusted Discord. She cast one more spell. She aimed it at Moonlight. But instead of the spell hitting her, she blocked it with a shield. Luna gasped. "What!" Discord laughed. "Sorry Luna. But you can't beat chaos." The stone spread over Luna's body and went over her horn. Luna was solid stone.

Chaos in Equestria

The statues of Celestia and Luna were right in front of them. Cotton Feathers looked at them both and asked, "Are we going keep them this way?" Discord replied, "I'm not sure. Maybe I'll find a use for them in the future. But for now I think they are better this way." Star Dim looked at him and said, "Well, now what do we do?" Discord looked at them and said, "Now we cause some chaos." The girls looked at each other and wickedly grinned. Discord snapped his fingers and they all disappeared.

The ponies of Equestria knew something was wrong when the moon appeared in the middle of the day. Everypony was trying to get the princesses to see what was wrong. Eventually two unicorn guards told everyone to stay while they went to look for the princesses. When they came back they had nervous expressions on their faces. "The princesses have been......" The guards were interrupted by a voice that finished their sentence. "Turned to stone." Suddenly the sky began filling up with clouds. And it began to rain. One of the guards took a drop that had fallen on his hoof and tasted it. It was chocolate milk. "Oh no he's back!" Everypony gasped. They knew exactly who he was taking about. The same creature that had ruled Equestria before. The same creature that drove everypony insane. Suddenly everypony looked up. It was Discord. The guards tried to use their magic to stop him but it did nothing. Then he disappeared. Everyone began to run to try and get home before everything got worse.

Discord watched as everypony was running. They all knew what was coming. He looked at Moonlight and her friends. He looked at Star Dim and said, "Go anywhere you want and cause as much trouble as you can." Star Dim nodded. "Of course." Then she began to run off. Discord looked at Chocolate Pie and said, "You can go with her." Chocolate Pie beamed. "Okie Dokie Lokie! Star wait up!" Then he looked at Discorded Swirls. "Take these two with you. Have fun." Discorded looked at Cotton and Crazed then she opened her wings and said, "No problem! Come on guys let's go!" Cotton Feathers followed her and said, "Finally something to do!" Once they were gone Discord looked at Moonlight. "Do you you want to come with me?" Moonlight nodded. "Of course I do." Discord smiled at her and went up to the sky. When they go high enough Discord looked down at Equestria. He snapped his fingers causing many things to shift and change. Buildings were floating, the dirt roads were now made of soap, cotton candy clouds were everywhere, and the sun and moon were constantly switching places. "Much better." Discord said. Moonlight continued to watch it. Everything was back. Discord, chaos, magic. Moonlight hugged Discord. "I'm glad your back." Discord stroked her mane. "I am too. And I promise I won't leave you again."

Moonlight Fun

Moonlight woke up slowly. She looked out the window the sun was in the sky. But once in a while a cotton candy cloud would dash over it and pour chocolate milk everywhere. Moonlight smiled. She climbed out of her bed and went over to her desk to read. Suddenly Discorded came crashing in through her window. "Discorded Swirls! Are you okay?" Moonlight helped her get up and put her down on her bed. Discorded looked a little dizzy. "Sorry Moonlight. New flying trick. Oh and if you're looking for Discord, he's not here. Moonlight was surprised. "What do you mean he's not here? How do you know?" Discorded got up and rubbed her head. Then she said, "Well, he came to see us earlier this morning. He knew you were asleep so he went out with Star, Chocolate, Crazed, Cotton Feathers and me." Moonlight pinned Discorded Swirls down. "Where is he now?" Discorded rolled her eyes. "With us." Moonlight growled. "Can you show me where he IS........PLEASE?" Discorded nodded and jumped off the bed. "Yeah! Come on!" Shegrabbed Moonlight and raced off with her.

Discorded Swirls took Moonlight to the center of Canterlot. There they found Discord and the others. When they got close enough Moonlight folded her wings and dropped. She looked over and saw Discord and the others causing chaos and having fun. Moonlight had missed that. Especially when she did it with her friends. Discorded flew over to them and joined them. She quickly began laughing and rolled on the ground. Then she got up and pointed towards Moonlight. Everyone looked at her. Chocolate Pie bounced over to her and said, "Hi Moonlight! What are you doing here? We were busy having fun! Want to join in?" Star Dim walked over to Chocolate and said, "Sorry Chocolate but I don't think Moonlight wants to." While Star Dim was talking Moonlight said, "Okay." Star Dim heard. "What did you say Moonlight? Did you just say OKAY?" Moonlight nodded. "If you want me to, I suppose I could join you." Star Dim was speechless. Chocolate was quiet for a moment, but then jumped up and said, "YES!!!!! Come on Moonlight. Discord's here too!" Moonlight sighed but slowly walked over to all her friends. This was going to be a long day.

Cotton Feathers and Crazed Candy were having fun together. Star Dim and Discorded were having fun together, and even Chocolate Pie and Discord were doing something together. Moonlight looked at a pony just standing a few feet away. Maybe just one little spell. Moonlight's horn flickered and suddenly a huge puddle of ink spilled all over the dress the pony was wearing. Moonlight laughed a little. The pony began to scream and cry. "No! Not my beautiful dress! No! No! No!" Moonlight almost forgot how fun it was to do that. Then she heard laughter and turned around. She saw Discord and all her friends laughing. "See Moonlight! That was funny! Don't you feel better?" Cotton asked. Moonlight looked around for a minute. "I guess it did."

Solar Moon Paths

Solar Flare led her group of solar guards across Equestria. They scanned every part to make sure it was covered in chaos. She used her solar magic to create bright sun filled areas. Every so often she would find a patch of land that was covered in darkness. She would turn it to day but would return to find everything covered in darkness again. One day she came across half an area of Equestria in darkness. She turned it to day with her magic. But then discovered her half of the land had been covered in darkness. Solar Flare grew angry. Her flaming mane rose and grew brighter as she shouted angrily. "Nightmare Moon!"

Nightmare Moon had led her lunar guards everywhere and made sure it was covered in darkness. She found a land full of brightness and saw it could be a little more dark and chaotic. She used her magic to create small patches of darkness inside the light filled area. As much as she hated the light she knew her sister would be angry with her for making everything dark. Later she returned to find her dark areas had been replaced by light again. She used her magic to make parts dark again. Then she thought. "Maybe we could just have different halves of the land. That way nopony will get upset." She used her magic to push back the light and made half of Equestria her realm of darkness. The next day she found her dark land had been turned bright and full of light. This made Nightmare Moon angry. "You want to play like that Solar Flare? Well I can too." She turned her sisters light realm into a land of darkness. She could hear her sister shouting to the sky. "Nightmare Moon!"

Solar Flare met at the boundary where Nightmare Moons part of the land met with her part of the land. Nightmare Moon was right next to her at the edge of her part of the land. "Take your bright light back to your side of the land. I don't want anything to do with it." Solar Flare gave her an angry look. "Not until you take your miserable, dark night back. It's too hard to see." Nightmare Moon was hurt. "No, you first. This is my land." Solar Flare got angrier. "No, this is my land!" Then they both turned at the sound of two voices. "No this is Discord's land." Solar Flare and Nightmare Moon saw a solar and a lunar guard looking at them. Nightmare Moon yelled. "You two,get back to where you belong. You are meant to serve us." The solar guard spoke first. "And you are meant to serve Discord." The lunar guard spoke next. He pointed to Nightmare Moon. "And you are meant to serve Moonlight Chaos." Solar Flare looked at Nightmare Moon. Then she glared at the guards. "Who gave you two permission to tell US that this is Discord's land? He has done nothing." The lunar guard shook his head. "He gave you both your magic, he gave you both your purpose." Nightmare Moon laughed. "Then we shall use our purpose to take his land away. Good luck Solar. And good riddance." Solar Flare groaned. "Your darkness will fall one day. You can't hide in your night forever." Nightmare Moon and Solar Flare's horns began to glow. Night returned to Nightmare Moon's side. And light returned to Solar Flare's side. They commanded their guards to return to their side of the land. The two guards that spoke up were left behind. They ran into the distance to tell Discord and Moonlight what had happened.
