Chapters Well as usual, Luna was looking in her mirror while doing her hair. And as usual she was thinking about the one thing on her mind, colts. Though, she still was tongue tied about what happened at her celebration for saving equestria with Derpy. That question lies at the top of her head, Do I love him? Even she didn't know the answer, but not even her own sister could tell Luna what she was feeling. But Luna had to know. So when Luna went on her daily walk, she saw Applejack carrying a basket full of apples and Big Mac with a cart also full of apples. She decided to say hi to the two when they made their first delivery.
"Hello there fair Applejack, Big Mac." Luna said in her royal voice.
"Howdy there Princess Luna! What brings you here?" Applejack said in her country voice.
"Oh just on my daily stroll to see how the ponies are doing. Where's your brother?" Luna asked. Applejack however looked at Luna with confused look on her face. She thought Luna was crazy.
"You wanna see ma' brother?" Applejack asked.
"Umm...yes I wanna talk to him. Please?" Luna asked again.
"Well he's doing the rest of the deliveries. I'm a bout' to head back on to the farm to help Granny Smith. But if you wanna talk to him he'll be at the carrot farm working." Applejack answered finally. Luna had a perplexed look on her face. ALL DAY?! But I must speak to him! Her only chance to talk to him was to meet up with him at the carrot farm. So Luna went on and galloped to the carrot farm, and there she saw him helping with the others push dirt to grow more crops. When they all took a break, Luna ran to Big Mac.
"Hello! F-F-Fair B-B-Big Mac." Luna said out of breath. Big Mac turned around when he saw that Luna had hit the ground.
"Luna!" He said, "Are you ok?"
"O-O-Of course I'm o-o-ok." She replied. That's when Big Mac helped her up. Luna knew that this was her chance to talk and get to know Big Mac before she does what she always do, jump to thoughts. So for the next couple of hours, Luna and Big Macintosh talked.
"So other than carrying apples and pulling heavy charts, what else do you do?" Luna asked.
"Well nothing much. That's all I do really. I've never gone out for fun." Big Mac answered. Luna was shocked."I never knew Big Mac never did anything fun. I gotta make it up to him." Luna thought. The two sat there in a awkward silence until Luna finally decided to speak.
"Well umm..if your not busy this Friday, you wanna go to Sugar Cube Corner for some milkshakes?" Luna asked kindly.
"Uh sure I guess I wouldn't mind Luna." Big Mac answered nervously.
"Oh. Great! I'll see you then. Wanna....talk more?" Luna asked with butterflies in her stomach.
"Sure! I love talking to you." Big Mac replied. With that response, Luna fainted to the ground.
"Luna! Are you ok?!" Big Mac asked.
"Umm.....yea I'm just fine." She replied. For the rest of the day, Luna and Big Mac talked about many things. Then, at dawn, Luna decided to head back to the castle and get ready to raise the moon.

Back at the farm, Big Mac put all the apples in baskets to set them up for the morning. Just then, Applejack came to talk to her beloved brother.
"Hey Big Mac, so, I heard that you talked to Luna. How was it?" She asked.
"It was, alright. She kept acting weird. She asked if we could go get milkshakes on Friday." He replied.
"Oh, thats nice. But remember what Granny Smith said, She doesn't want you falling in love with the wrong pony. " Applejack reminded him. Big Mac knew that she was right. Even if he had a chance to get to know her, he would never have a chance to even get her to be his girlfriend. So he had thought, and knew that his own little sister, was right. Back in Canterlot, Luna had been busy playing video games with Derpy. She had invited her over since she doesn't know much people that play games as best as her, but Derpy. Celestia, came in to tell Luna that it was time to raise the moon.
"Luna." Celestia called, "It's time to raise the moon."
"Kk, just need to finish this level first." Luna replied.
"No, your gonna raise the moon!"
"But I wanna finish-"
"LUNA! Young mare, you must raise the moon or there will be chaos in equestria."
"I'm sure the ponies are patient, besides they like your sun better. I'm sure nothing is diff-"
"ENOUGH!" Celestia yelled, as the magic from her horn went to the cord of Luna's game console. She unplugged it.
"Celestia! What's your problem!? I was on level 129! It'll take me weeks to get back on that level!" Luna yelled. Celestia made a big glare at Luna which calmed her down. Celestia then took the game console, and threw it in the trash. Luna stood in shock and started to cry. Celestia tried to comfort her, but Luna slammed the door on her face.
"I guess you can tell Luna that I'll see her tomorrow. Bye now." Derpy said as she jumped to the door way and left.
"Luna can we just talk about this." Celestia said.
"No! Go away!" Luna yelled. Luna was distraught. She never realized her own sister would take something so precious away from her, again. Luna was crying her eyes out. Until she saw a purple smoke come from her mirror.
"Luna, oh Luna. " The smoke called.
"Who's there!? Show yourself!" Luna yelled.
"Oh, I think you know me very well. In fact, I was who you were born into."
"No...It can't be..."
"But it is. You may thought that I was gone, but I never left, I was always inside of you, each and every night. You can't change that, no matter how much you try. I will always be inside of you." The smoke said as it disappeared. Luna was frightened.
Can You Please Come Out Of Your Room
As the sun approaches, Luna locks herself in her room.
"She hasn't came out all night, and is still in there. I'm starting to get worried." Celestia said as she panicked. Luna had been in her room mostly either reading her book or practicing her magic. Luna didn't mind being alone, actually, she was kinda use to it. Luna actually thought that she could stay in her room, or even live in there.
"Luna! You have to come out of your room any minute now! We have a lot of things planned today!" Celestia said to convince her sister to come out of her room, but it didn't work.
"Why should I have to go? Your Princess Celestia, your the one who defeated me when I was Nightmare Moon, and then took equestria all for yourself. What do you need me for, I'm just your back up." Luna complained. Celestia know this was coming. Luna would always bring up the past in situations like this. But it seems that Celestia has had enough of Luna bringing up the past.
"Your highness, it doesn't seem that the princess is coming out of her room. Would've she never comes out of her room?" said one of Celestia's servants.
"It's ok, I'm sure she'll come out any minute. Hopefully until then, we will have to wait. Besides she can't stay in their without the comfort of her own sister! Ha! Beat that Luna!" Celestia said in a happier version than she was before.
"B-b-but your highness? What about the meeting?"
"Cadence will have to wait, inform this to Princess Twilight as well." Celestia order as her servant went on to write a letter to Cadence and Twilight. Celestia, however was still by Luna door, humming a familiar tone.
"Oh Luna..."
Can you please come out of your room?
It's nearly been all day!
I know since yesterday you've hated me, I can't deny, I would feel the same way.
But now I'm kinda lonely, without you, and your foolish ways!
So can you please come out of your room?
Your gonna have to come out of there soon...
"No way Tia!"
Alright, fine! "
The next day, Celestia came by Luna door once again, and planned on doing the same thing:
Can you please come out of your room?
We can have a picnic in my sun!
I really want to spend time with you, so Luna please, why don't you just come!
"Come on now Luna!"
And now I'm really lonely! Without you here, just watching you have a lot of fun!
It had been almost 4 days, and Luna still hasn't came out of her room, which made Celestia disappointed in her own self. If she would've never thrown away what was really important to Luna, she wouldn't be in this mess. So Celestia tried one more time to convince her sister to come out.
"Luna?" she began to say.
Oh, dear sister I know your in there.
Ponies are wondering where you are.
And I've been doing everything myself, and all of this, is drifting us apart.
And yes, I've been a little lonely, I know you have too, you'll have to come out of there soon.
Luna please come out of your room.
Your sister's crying cause she misses you.
But all it there was, was a complete silence.
Alright....fine.
Luna was listening on there door closely, to hear if Celestia had left, and she did. Luna was mad herself.
"How could I just ditch my own sister like that?!" she thought. At dawn, when Luna would mainly raise the moon, Celestia was sitting on the balcony she and her sister would always sit on once either had to raise the sun, moon, or announce a event. But ever since Luna stayed locked up in her room, it was only Celestia who would stare at her glowing and beautiful moon. By herself.
"Tia?" said a voice behind Celestia.
Yes, now I'm out of my room.
You were right, and I was too.
I was very bored, and tired, trust me, it was like being on the moon.
But now that it's all over, can you trust me now, because I am here with you.
Yes, now I'm out of my room.
And I'm not living in there til my doom..
Celestia turned with a smile across her face, as if she had just got married, or had a baby.
Alright, fine.
Celestia and Luna shared a big sisterly hug. Celestia had been in tears for most of the time while giving Luna a bigger embrace than usual.
"Oh Luna, I'm so sorry I threw away your game console! I was just mad that you didn't listen to me and-"
"Shh...." Luna said as she put her hoof on her sister's mouth as a way to say stop talking or shut up, but in this case, it was meant to say stop talking.
"Don't ruin the sisterly moment." she said as her and her sister continued they're hug.
It was a sunny morning, and Luna woke up in a childish delight. She turned over, only to see her lovely sister's face. Luna had slept with her sister so they would reunite from the 4 days she stayed in her room.
"Good morning little sister." Celesta said and began to wake up.
"Oh! I'm so sorry sister! I did not mean to wake you." Luna panicked. Celestia began to giggle.
"It's quite alright dear sister, besides.." Celestia said and began to get up, "We have a lot on our agenda today."
"Aww..I wanted to go to Derby's house today and play Mortal Kombat." Luna complained.
"Well miss complainy pants, you'll have to wait, I'm sure she'll be at the fireworks today." Celestia said to help insure her sister that she didn't have to worry about anything. So the 2 went downstairs to check if everything was in place. Turns out, it was.
"Come on everypony!" said a voice, " The princesses are expecting everything to be perfect when they wake up." It seems the voice was Twilight, ordering everypony to make things perfect for the Fourth of July celebration. Princess Cadence helped all the earth ponies make food. And Princess Twilight and her friends were helping with everything else.
"Twilight?" Luna said questionably. Twilight turned to see who it was in surprise.
"Oh, Luna! Celestia! Hi, we were just fixing a few things while you guys were sleeping." Twilight said as she showed the two royal sisters around the castle to show them what they created.
"Well once again my successful student aka princess, has once again impressed me and my sister. Well done Twilight!" Celestia said in a very excited mood. While Twilight and Celestia were talking, Luna went to go take a closer look at how things were set for the Forth of July celebration. In her path, she bumped into a familiar red colt.
"Oh, howdy Luna." he said.
"Oh my! Big Macintosh! I am very pleased in seeing you." Luna said and began to blush.
"Oh, umm...thanks Luna, that means a lot." Big Mac said and began to blush as well. The two stood there for a long awkward period of time, and then Luna finally had enough bravery in her to speak.
"So, do you still wanna head to Sugar Cube Corner to have that milkshake?" she asked nervously.
"Oh, sure I guess Applejack won't mind." he said and began to hold Luna's hoof, which made her squeal inside.
"What makes you think you can hold the royal hoof like that?" she joked. They both left out the door, and right behind them, was a familiar pink alicorn following them with a devious smile.

So Luna and Big Mac head to Sugar Cube corner to have a delectable milkshake. Then without notice, Luna decided to get to know the handsome stranger.
"So...." she began to say, "Tell me about yourself, since you half-way know about me."
"What do you mean?" Big Mac asked.
"Well, you probably heard that I was Nightmare Moon, took over equestria, yadda yadda yadda, and some stuff like that. So you probably think of me as the evil moon queen or whatever they call me." she said in a sorrow mood.
"Well Luna, ma' life ain't that interesting either. I mean, back in fillygarten, I was always teased and bully on the way I acted, thought, and everypony thought I was dumb and stupid." he said also in a sorrow mood. Luna was distraught. She had finally meet a pony who was just like her, sad, afraid, and alone. She knew that he would understand her tale as Nightmare Moon. So with their stories, this left the two to walk in silence. On the other hoof, the pony who was following them, decided to think of something to change the subject, then she thought of a idea. The mysterious pony used her ocean blue aura from her horn, and put an acorn in the middle of their path. She decided to see her plan go in action. Luna, who was still walking in sorrow, didn't see the object until she tripped over and almost fell to the ground.
"GAH!" she yelled. Before she and her royal head hit the ground, something grabbed her in the blink of an eye. Why, it was Big Macintosh, holding her in a tango potion like it was an end of a dance or something.
"Perfect!" the pony said in her devious way and even decided to laugh a little.
"Well this is awkward." Luna said still in the holding potion.
"Well, we better get inside Sugar Cube Corner before something else happens." Big Mac said picking up Luna from the ground. So as the two headed into the store, Mrs.Cake saw her comers and gave them their order. As the two had drank and finished their milkshakes, they talked about themselves. They both got to know each other very well, and even got to hear some funny stories.
When it hit nighttime, it was time to go see the fireworks, and Luna and Big Mac had to end their friendly date.
"So, I guess this is goodbye then." Luna said in a friendly, but sad tone.
"I guess it is." Big Mac said in the same way.
"I had fun today, I really did. Well I guess I'll see you later." Luna said. As the two split apart, the pony who had been following them all day decided to test something else. She put something in Luna's path so it would make her fall, again.
"Gah!" she said once again. Once he heard her scream, Big Mac turned to catch her, but this time, it was a little different. When he came to catch her, she rose up and he rose down, and their lips met. The pony who had followed them, had let out a big hooves up saying inside : Mission Complete! Big Mac and Luna were still in the same position, then Luna finally decided to unlock the connection of their lips.
"OMG! I am so sorry! That was an accident!" she said as her whole face turned red.
"I-i-it's quiet alright." Big Mac said as his face too was red as a strawberry. The two headed back to the castle, and the whole time, they were looking into each others eyes thinking of what just happened.
"There you are Big Mac! I was worried about ya!" Applejack said, "The fireworks are about to start."
"3,2,1! HAPPY FORTH OF JULY!!!!" everypony screamed. Some ponies jumped up and down, some gave everypony hugs, others gave their loved ones kisses. Luna took a look at Big Mac, and so did he. They gazed at the fireworks for a minute.
"So, umm...what happened back there.....do you think you wanna go for another?" Big Mac asked as Luna looked surprised way. Her face was a whole cherry and she decided to finally answer.
"Uh..I would love to, but we're still friends right?" she asked.
"Of course." The two didn't waste a minute and decided to lock lips, however Big Mac held back scared and terrified, but Luna closed the gap and pressed her lips against his. Big Mac did nothing to hold back, so he closed his eyes and enjoyed the blissful moment.
A Princess's Guide To Love
Luna was laying on her bed. She couldn't stop but think of what happened last night. She couldn't even sleep.
"I kissed him..." she said in her head, "I kissed the colt I loved!!!"
After all the excitement, Luna began to think: What do I do now? Should I ask him out on a date? No no that wouldn't make sense! Should I send him a gift? No, what if somepony takes it!? SHOULD I JUST TELL HIM FACE-TO-FACE THAT I LOVE HIM??!! Just then, Luna heard a knock on her door.
"Princess Luna, you have a visitor." said one of her guards. Luna quickly removed her hooves from her face.
"A visitor? Well who could it be?" She thought very hard, until it came to her, "Oh, oh dear."
"Umm....Princess the visitor would like to see you now." the guard said once again.
"Oh no! He's waiting, for me!" she said in horror, "What do I do? What do I say? What should I wear to impress him?"
"Umm....Princess?"
"I'M COMING!" she yelled in her canterlot voice. Luna quickly gathered some makeup, puffed up her mane, and put on one of Rarity's fine dresses that she gave to her as a gift. She ran down the steps, hearing the clopping noises from her high-heals, and met up with the guard and her unsuspecting visitor.
"Hello, fair Big Macintosh! How do I-" she cut her own self off as she saw who was at the door. It was Cadence who made a small but devious laugh.
"Cadence!? What are you doing here!?" Luna asked questionably.
"I came to talk with you, just to see how you were doing. You dressed up for me?" Cadence answered with a laugh.
"It wasn't for you." Luna said in a grumpy tone.
"You may leave us now, I can handle this." Cadence said to the guards. As the guards departed, Luna went in for a secret smack towards Cadence, turns out, Cadence grabbed her hoof without notice.
"No no Luna, save that for later, when you really need it in your relationship." Cadence said. Luna looked back at her confused.
"What do you mean?" Luna asked.
"I'm talking about the colt, you know, the one you love so very much. What's his name, oh yea, Big Macintosh?" Cadence said giving Luna a devious, and suspicious smile. Luna blushed, and wanted to know: How did Cadence find that I like Big Macintosh? Luna thought and thought.
"Not to mention, that lovely and wonderful kiss you guys had, and two times in a row!" Cadence said, "GOOOO.....LUNA!" Finally, Luna got the memo: SHE SPIED ON ME! Luna turned back in anger, with her face as red as a cherry.
"You spied on me!? Why!?" Luna said.
"I have no idea what your referring to dear." Cadence said sarcastically.
"Oh hush, your starting to act like Discord." Luna said in a unpleasing way.
"Oh Luna, I am the goddess of love, protector of ponies in need at the Crystal Empire, and just in case, the goddess of se-"
"OH SHUT UP THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!" Luna yelled as she cut her off knowing what she was gonna say. Cadence stood back, giving Luna a quick check, from bottom to top.
"Oh Luna, why try to hid it, it's very true that you love this colt as much as I love Shining. And I think that is oh so adorable!" Cadence said in her nice tone, in other words, she wasn't going coo coo anymore.
"Well, you saw it and.....I....I just don't know what to do Cadence! I have nopony else who would wanna talk to me about this and-"
"Well there's your sister." Cadence interrupted. Luna knew she was right. Luna had the chance to tell her sister about what happened, only, she was too afraid to.
"Look Luna, I can give you really helpful advice, but, nopony's gives even greater advice, than the pony's sister." Cadence said and began to look deeply into Luna eyes and say:
"It's a good first step to make."
Luna thought, and Cadence was right. Since she had no mother or father, it was best to ask the next big thing, her own sister. She was only afraid of how she would react or say, but it wasn't to hard to just go on and try.
"But, until you do, I'll be giving you advice!" Cadence said to change the subject, "Let's just say: A Princess's Guide To Love. "

The two spent hours going over how to have the perfect, kiss, date, dance, gift, and etc. It had been 8:00p.m, and it was time for Cadence to leave the castle and head to her own empire.
"Princess Cadence, you carriage is here." one of the guards said. Cadence had gotten off the floor to which she had fell down to when she was testing Luna's dancing.
"I'm going to leave, but remember what I said." Cadence said. Luna quickly gave her a hug before she departed, and whispered in her ear.
"If you spy on me again, you'll really regret it." she whispered.
"Oh Luna, you'll never know when I will spy on you, I even spy on you in your room. Oh and by the way, you should really stop talking to yourself." Cadence said. As she began to laugh, Luna pushed her playfully, and gave her a real hug.
Luna began to head up to her room, looking at her glorious night. She also began to wonder: What if Cadence was right? Should I ask Celestia for advice? Luna thought and thought in her head of what she should do. Until, another whisper came to her.
"Ask Celestia?! Wow Luna, your even crazier than you were before." Luna panicked. It was the same sound from before.
"Listen here! I trust and believe my sister can give great and influencing advice, sometimes." Luna said backing up her sister.
"Luna, please. If you want my advice, just dump the dumb old stallion." the smoke said with an evil laugh, it was nothing compared to Cadence's though. As it disappeared, Luna began to scream in her head: WHO ELSE KNOWS MY SECRET!!
