Twilight Finds The Death Note

A chorus of hooves pounded into the Twilight's brain but yet it felt silent. There's no way anypony could outsmart her. How could he have thought of a plan like this? L. Who is he? This isn't how things were the supposed to go! Noticing she was one of the last ponies in the square, Twilight stood up taking the piece of paper with her and throwing it into the nearby trash can.

The other five approached and smiled at their purple friend. "Why, hello Twilight. I thought you would have already left for home!" Rarity greeted kindly. All of them gathered around her.

"Twilight, why didn't you come stand with us?" Asked Flutter Shy who looked a bit concerned, "Certainly you weren't hurt?" Twilight just rolled her eyes and began her trot back to the library. "Now how could I have hurt myself since you last checked up on me? I've just been reading up in my room." Lied the alicorn -but she was very convincing.

All six went down to the library to discuss the meeting in town. Upon arriving, Rainbow dash took the seat at the front and proclaimed herself the leader. The other five eventually sat down next to her.

"Okay, I think we can all agree that that guy was awesome!" Exclaimed the cyan pegasus, "He was all like, 'oh yeah Kira I know were you live!' So cool!" Apple Jack rolled her eyes, Dash could latch onto a pony almost instantly. First The Wounderbolts then Daring Doo and now and now this L.

"I think you got your head in the clouds. We don't really know if this pony is THAT good." Reasoned AJ with a grin, "He could have just got a lucky lead." Rarity was surprised at the mere thought of it. "Apple Jack, how could you say such a thing? He's done a better job then you EVER could!" She argued.

"Guys! Can we just calm down and talk normally?" Interrupted Twilight forcefully

"You would think we're enemies!" Added Flutter Shy, "It doesn't matter whether L is good or not. At least he found a clue!" After that everypony settled down.

"Anyway, how are we supposed to find this criminal if he's in such a big town? With all these new folk he could be anypony!" Said Apple Jack while looking at Rainbow Dash, "Since your our 'leader' you should know what to do right, Sugar Cube?"

Snarling, the pegasus replied, "I never said I had good ideas, I said I should be leader because I always took action!" Nopony spoke for a while until Pinkie Pie let out a slight sigh.

"It's too bad we don't live in Canterlot. If we did then we would be able to visit the headquarters and see what's going on..."  Right at that second everypony gasped and Rarity complemted, "Pinkie, your a genius!"

The pink pony smiled merrily, "Thanks Rarity!"

"Twilight, you can ask the princess if we can come to the castle?" Questioned an anticipated pegasus, "Imagine it! It'll be like we're real detectives! Maybe we'll be able to meet L!"

They all got more exited the more they talked about the trip, even though Twilight hadn't given her answer. Speaking of which, the young alicorn hesitated. Getting closer to this whole thing would prove dangerous and would be harder to write down names. In the castle there is heavy security and is very hard to get any privacy. It would be extremely foolish to take a trip to Canterlot at a time like this but objecting would only make her seem strange or suspicious. Her friends had accidentally trapped her.

Looking away, Twilight quietly said, "I suppose I could get us a room.. But its not a promise!" and celebratory cheers flooded the room followed by Pinkie shouting, "Come on Dashie, we gotta go pack!"

They both ran for home quickly. "Don't y'all think their a bit too exited?" Said the farm pony.

The next morning Twilight was awoken by a discord alarm clock next to her ear. He sat there holding it ,looking quite annoyed, "I've been trying to get you up for half an hour! I was this close to throwing a bucket of water on you."

Twilight arose followed by a sigh, "You didn't have to wake me up, it's not like I have anything to do..." Discord grunted and threw the water on her anyway.

"Then I guess you don't want to go to Canterlot, do you?"

Realizing her situation, the alicorn brushed her mane slightly and teleported down the stairs. "Spike? SPIKE! I'm going to now... So watch the library... okay?" The dragon didn't answer... Even without a reply Twilight rushed outside dashing towards the train station.  Amazingly, the other five still sat patiently on the benches waiting for their train.

"Hi!" Welcomed Pinkie Pie, "Your a bit late." Relived, Twilight seated herself next to Rainbow who sat near the end. Peering at her side the pegasus said, "You go to Canterlot so much you already have stuff there."

She was confused by Rainbow's statement. Everything Twilight needed was at home. "What do you mean?"

"You don't have any saddle bags."

"What?!" She jumped and looked but her friend was correct. Due to the hurry she had forgotten her bags!

"You can use my stuff, if you don't mind that is." Offered Flutter Shy sheepishly. Twilight began to sweat but ultimately agreed. Finally, the their vehicle arrived and all six boarded the train.
