Escaping from Celestia

Journey to the South

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

While Celestia was going on her rant Twilight continued her journey through the gullies. Luckily for her there were caves along the way to sleep in. As she continued southwards the number of bats that lived in the gullies began to increase, which did not bother her one bit but later on the increase in bats would work to her advantage. She was thinking to herself though, "Oh I wish Fluttershy was with me, she could talk to them and tell me everything they are saying."

One afternoon Twilight looked up and saw some trees along the edge of the gully, which brightened her spirits immensely. She climbed up to the top of the gully and discovered some apple trees and a huge lake. She shouted, "Finally, a good meal!"

Twilight sat up there devouring the apples and guzzling the water as she had not had a decent meal since she left the Everfree Forest. She was however, constantly looking around worrying that Celestia or some spy of her's would come and capture her. After two hours of feasting on apples and water, she jumped back down into the gully and continued her journey south.

In Canterlot the morning after her wrathful search and rant Celestia was looking off to the east with White Wings by her side. She asked, "White Wings, do you think she might be taking some weird path to hide somewhere? Do you think she will try to flee Equestria entirely?"

White Wings replied, "Well I'm not sure your Majesty but I do know there is a huge path of long dry gullies that run from the edge of the Everfree Forest to that forest in the deep south."

Celestia began to shake, She asked, "Fo-forest in the south? Y-you mean that really dense one?"

White Wings replied, "Yes, I could see her taking that path to wherever she is going. It is the one path that ponies can take that will provide them plenty of cover."

Celestia said, "Keep an eye on things and when Luna wakes up, tell where I have gone."

Before he could reply Celestia took off towards the east, bound and determined to capture Twilight. She said to herself, "Twilight, when I catch you I'll get all the kissing and sex I want."

It was late in the afternoon when Celestia reached the gullies. She began to fly above them but the further south she went, the more rocks began to cover the path, almost making it like an underground passage. Celestia, with as much as she wanted to acquire Twilight, refused to go down in there. There were too many things she was afraid of in passages like that.

Twilight continued her path southwards when she heard hooves walking overhead. This terrified her. She thought to herself, "What if it's Celestia? What if she has hunted me down and will kill me?"

Twilight then heard Celestia shouting, "I KNOW YOU'RE DOWN THERE SOMEWHERE TWILIGHT. YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER!"

Unfortunately there was a gap in the rocks overhead but there was a cave there as well. Twilight ran into the cave hoping that Celestia's fear of caves would keep her safe. Celestia landed down at the entrance to the cave and was shouting, "TWILIGHT SPARKLE, COME OUT HERE AND I WON'T HARM YOU!"

Celestia's ears perked up when she heard noises coming from the cave. What would come out of the cave would not be what she expected. Suddenly bats came flying out of the cave. "AAAAH! BATS!" shouted Celestia. Her screaming caused bats in other caves to come out as well. Celestia took to the sky but hundreds and hundreds of bats were taking after her, almost as though they were protecting Twilight.

Very soon crows and ravens, which Celestia is also scared of, were chasing her away from the gullies. Twilight knew this was her chance. She bolted as fast as she could without tripping. Finally four hours later the gullies rose up to flat lands and before her stood the great forest of the south. Twilight got a big smile on her face and ran into the forest. Finally, Twilight was safe.

After running far enough into the forest that she couldn't be seen, she said to herself, "Finally! I'm safe!"

While Twilight was missing her friends little did she know that she would meet new friends in the forest that would not only keep her company, but would protect her and aid in seeing to it that Celestia got what she deserved.
