//-------------------------------------------------------// The Book of the Elements -by smilesallthewayforever- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Finding the book //-------------------------------------------------------// Finding the book Twilight was wandering through the canterlot archives. She needed some much needed rest after trying to take care of her 3 foals. Earlier that day Twilight’s eldest son Shooting Star was trying to create the worlds largest tower of books. At first Twilight didn’t mind because she only let him use picture books so they weren't very important. That was until he decided to cast a spell which he found in Twilight’s ‘adventure magic’ books. The spell allowed the inside of the tower to increase into a square kilometre of mazes and traps. Shooting decided to take his two younger twin sisters Razzle, Dazzle and Star Gazer into the maze with him. Twilight had to get her husband Constellation , Shining Armour, all three of the other princess’ AND all the other elements of harmony (well previous elements of harmony). Eventually they found them in a room full of candy munching away on some Gumdrop cushions. Pinkie Pie immediately dove right into the chocolate fountain, surprised looks came across everyponies faces wondering how she managed to fit in the fountain, well everypony but the previous bearers of the elements of harmony. “MMM! Yummy yum yum! I absolutely tootly cutely LOVE! Chocolate!” Pinkie exclaimed. “But I also love taffy, and sarsaparilla and toffee and candy canes and OOOOHH! CUPCAKES!” Pinkie stated before Sprinting off towards a mountain of cupcakes. They navigated their way back out of the maze, Pinkie and the foals pouting out their lower lips from having to leave the sugary heaven. Once they reached the exit Twilight breathed a sigh of relief. “I really must be leaving dear, I have a very important design I must complete by tonight for Hoity Toity back home. Plus I am not sure Silver Lining can cope much longer by himself with Jewel.” Rarity exclaimed. “Of course Rarity, thanks for helping me find the foals” Twilight replied. “Ta ta girls! And again apologies for my departure.” Rarity said waving goodbye as she exited the maze. Suddenly Pinkie jumped up and gasped (much like when she first met Twilight) looking at her hoof in surprise “OH NO! i have to get home and change pound and pumpkin cake’s diapers!” Pinkie said worryingly. “Don't pound and pumpkin cake have cutie marks now?” asked Rainbow Dash “well yeah. obviously” replied Pinkie rolling her eyes. “But!!! Whatifpumkincastaspellthatmadethemboth itty bitty tiny babiesagainandtheythinki’veabandonedthemandtheircrying ALL ON THEIR OWN” Before anypony could answer her she ran around a corner, Rainbow dash tried to follow her “Pinkie I don’t think that could happe- Pinkie where are you?” She was gone. A loud rumble emitted from the maze. “Well then” exclaimed Celestia “I’m not sticking around to find out the cause of that noise”. And with that Celestia was off and about with Luna following close behind struggling to break free from Celestia’s gold aura which encased her mane. “WE CAN EXIT OURSELVES!” Luna trailed off. After everypony left Twilight found herself alone in the Library with her little bundles of mischief. Her husband Flash Sentry was nowhere to be found, he must of ran off with Shining Armour again for their usual ‘Stallions night out’  as they call it. Twilight, however, couldn’t care less. When it came to punishing her children she was overjoyed at the extra hoof work she would get around the library. As for now it was scolding time. “Tut, tut, tut. What do we have here?” Examined Twilight. “Three little fillies who have disobeyed instructions of NOT to enter the restricted magic zone, AGAIN!” “It wasn’t our fault, It was all Shooting’s idea”  whined Dazzle. “I don’t want to hear any of this ‘It wasn’t me! You knew very well what you were getting into!” Razzle snickered at her mother’s remark against her sister. “ You’re not off the hook either young missy!” Twilight snapped back “You three do this at least once a week! You’re lucky the others were kind enough to come help look for you with their busy lives and all! You could have been breakfast ” Explained Twilight. “Now I want you three to apologise, promise to tone down the adventuring and help clean out the Library after the mess you made.” The three of them apologised to her and Twilight sent them off. Twilight needed to cool off so she thought a short visit And that is how she got here. Twilight was looking for a book that would entertain her for the next hour or so whilst her husband minded the children. She had stumbled upon the history section of Equestria “Hmm, this could get interesting” she mumbled to herself as she levitated out some old history books. As she was reading the titles a book fell out of one of the top shelves and hit Twilight on the head. “OW! What was that?” She looked at the book and read the title. “‘The History Of The Elements’ Hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this one before.” Twilight muttered as she examined the cover. She decided to give the book a try seeing as she had thought she had read almost all the books in the Canterlot archives. Twilight began to read “Chapter one: The Elements Of Beginning…”
