Chapter 1: Storms and gun shots.
"Hahahaha! Oh man! This guys a total loser!" I laughed as a stranger I was talking to on Omegle left in anger. "Ohhh man... heh heh... awwww- and it's no longer funny!" I laughed at my own joke. No one was in the room with me so I could only talk to myself at the moment. Why? Because I was stoned as hell. I smiled as a new stranger popped up on my screen, this one being a female. "Oh, heeeeeello there, Big Tits." I said, ready to start flirting with the woman.
"Ugh! You men are all the same on this website!" She yelled as she left the chat.
"Awww, that's no fun!" I said with a little giggle at the end. I took off the horse mask I was wearing to take a hit from my bong. As I inhaled, held in the smoke, and exhaled. I felt myself get a little more high causing me to chuckle a little. "Everything feels like a dream!" I said as I fell backward onto my sofa after I set my bong on the table. "Oh ho ho! Why am I such a light weight!?" I yelled out as I held back a laugh.
*Knock Knock*
I stopped laughing my ass off as I heard the familiar noise coming from the front door of my living room. I shut my laptop and stood up.
*Knock Knock*
Came the noise again, louder this time around. Apparently, whoever was at the door was not going to wait for me to freshen up. I looked around for something to aid me at my time of need until my eyes landed on a pair of sunglasses. I rushed over to them, stumbling lot, and picked them up. "I'm coming!" I yelled at the door as I put on the sunglasses to cover my clearly red eyes. Marijuana wasn't legalized where I lived, and I should know, due to me being a common dangerous drug dealer. I walked up to the door and brushed myself off. "Please don't be the feds..." I said under my breath before I grabbed the door handle and pulled it open.
"Well! It's about fucking time, Tony!" Said one of the two people waiting for me on the other side of the door. The one who yelled at me was Johnny, he was the leader of our gang, "The green underdogs." Silly name, I know, But people did not seem to have a problem with it. Anyways, Johnny had black, greasy hair which he combed to the side to make him look cool. He also had a leather jacket on with a green T-shirt on underneath showing he was in our gang. The one next to him was his brother, Chris. He also had black hair but he had it in a mohawk. Chris had on a green tank-top on along with a pot leaf tattoo on his left arm to show he was in our gang.
I sighed in relief as I saw who it was. "God damnit, Johnny! You scared the shit out of me!" I said in a half happy, half scared tone.
"Oh, why is that? You smokin' the weed that you should have sold!?" Johnny yelled as he took a step forward.
My smile turned into a frown. "The fuck you talkin' about, man?"
Johnny grinded his teeth as he swung his hand and slapped the sunglasses off my face. "I'm talkin' about you smokin' our inventory!" He grabbed me by my shirt and threw me out onto the ground. Johnny did look like an average guy, but when he was pissed off he was like the fucking Hulk!
I let out a cry of pain as I slammed onto the hard ground. No cuts, but there was gonna be some big bruises. "What the hell, Johnny!" I yelled as I got to my feet and stumbled around for a moment. I was having trouble not freaking out do to the whole situation I was in. Plus I was high, so this was super freaky! I turned around to see Johnny coming towards me.
"I was told by one of our guys that you were smokin' our inventory and I thought he was joking! But, then I notice some of our pot went missing and I thought that there was no way it was my 'best friend!'"
I reached into my pocket and grabbed my gun. "Johnny, plea-" I could not finish my sentence before he continued with his.
"I decided to pay you a quick visit only for you to open the door with sunglasses on! Oh wait, what's that I smell? FUCKING WEED!!!" He began to scream as he got closer to me.
"You know that I pay you for everything I take!" I yelled at him. My grip on my gun tightening.
"Then explain why my missing weed is in your house!" He yelled right back. I noticed that he stuck his hand in his pocket just like I had. Someone was going to die that night...
"I payed you! I gave the money to Chris and told him to-" I stopped mid sentence to look at the man who's name I had just said. He was standing there... smiling!? "It was your brother! He fucking pocketed the money and-"
"Don't you blame your mistakes on him!" He screamed at me as he pulled his gun out of his pocket.
"But, he's got your shitty money! I know he has it!" I screamed right back as I pulled my gun out as well. All of a sudden it began to ran hard as if pulling guns on each other triggered it.
"Stop lying!" Johnny said as lightning struck not to far away from us. Nobody seemed to notice it. "Your just a disloyal piece of shit!"
"Just look in his pocket! I dare you!" I yelled. Before Johnny could reply lightning struck near us again, this time closer.
Chris looked at the burnt area where the lightning had struck then looked back at his older brother. "C-come on, Johnny. Just shoot 'em already!"
Johnny did not even bother looking back at him to say. "You stay outta this!" The wind and rain picked up as another lightning blot struck near us, this one hitting my yard.
"Come on, bro! Just do it!" He said as he looked around him in fear of the next lightning bolt hitting him.
"Just shut the fuck up!" Johnny yelled back at his little brother.
"Don't you fucking pull that trigger!" I screamed. A blot of lightning struck a few feet away from us causing all of us to jump a little.
"I thought we were friends!" Johnny yelled as he took a step forward. "But, then you pulled a stunt like this!"
"You know that your brother hates me!" I screamed over the loud whistle of the wind as I stumbled light headedly forward as well. "He always wanted me out of the gang! So the one time I trust him he decides to-"
"STOP!!! LYING!!!!!!!!!!" Johnny screamed with all his might as he pulled the trigger. Time slowed down as I watched the bullet hit me in the chest and teared threw my skin and flesh. My life flashed before my eyes as I slowly fell to my knees, the gun still in my hand. I aim and shoot one bullet, not at Johnny... but at Chris. The bullet tears threw his knee-cap, causing him to fall on the ground screaming in pain. I dropped my gun and fell over on my back with tears in my eyes.
The sound around me seems to have stopped, all I can hear is the faint sound of Johnny screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" I could not tell if it was toward me or his brother. All I knew was that I was gonna die. Just before my eyes closed forever, I heard a sweet, caring, feminine voice in my head say to me.
"Don't worry, Tony Shepard. Thou's life is not over yet. It has just begun." Before I could make heads or tails of it, a bolt of lightning struck me, and I blacked out.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
I began to hear things going on around me as I came to. "Oh, well look who's awake." I heard just as I opened my eyes. I was in a hospital, the room was full of medical equipment, on both sides of the bed I was on was another bed with a patient laying in it. I looked around some more until I saw the nurse who said something to me earlier. She smiled as I made eye contact with her and said. "How're you felling big guy?"
I looked at her for a moment until I said. "Uh... kinda sore." She giggled at that statement.
"Well, I would be too if I was you." She said as she pointed at the mostly healed bullet wound on my bare chest, then at a patched up area where I assumed the lightning had it me. I looked down at my bullet wound and scrunched up my face seeing that it was healed up by now.
I looked back up at the nurse and asked. "How long have I been out?"
She held up a clip board and scanned the page then looked back down at me. "About one week, two days, and six hours." She said as she continued to read. "Luckily that bullet didn't hit anything important. If it went a few inches to your left it would've hit your heart."
I scrunched up my face again. "Uhhh... good to... know?" I said as I looked at her. She was awfully cute but she was not the best at comforting.
"Anyways, we've been wanting to know something." She said as she set the clip board down on a table next to my bed. "Who shot you? And why?"
I sat there for a moment thinking of what to say. I looked back at her and said. "It was just a miss-understanding. Someone did something that they shouldn't have." She gave me a quizzical look before she just shrugged it off.
"Oh well, I figured you just got attacked by some of those rebel ponies..." She said as she pulled a key out of her pocket.
I raised an eyebrow at her. "What'er you talking-" I stopped when I looked down and saw what the key was for. They had hand-cuffed me to that fucking bed!
She stopped, inches away from the hand-cuffs. "Huh? What do you mean 'What do I mean?'" She asked, cocking her head to the side.
I began to brainstorm for a brief moment until I looked at the hand-cuff. "Oh, I was just confused why you chained me up, that's all. Heh heh..." I said nervously.
"Oh! That's just in case your some kinda criminal or something. We couldn't find any ID on you. All you had was your clothes, some weird green paper, and a strange gun.
'Strange? What the fuck does she mean by strange? And why doesn't she say money? Am I not in America anymore!?' I thought to myself for a moment. I mentally shrugged it off and replied "Okay then, thanks for the info." I let her take the hand-cuffs off and put them on the table. She looked at the clipboard again and looked back at me.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, but I have to attend to someone else now." She reached down next to the bed and set my clothing which was now clean and folded down on the table along with my gun and my money. "You may leave when ever you feel like moving. Have a nice day." She got up and walked out of the room. As she left I stared at her ass until I could no longer see it.
'God damn! That is the cutest girl I've ever seen!' I thought as I got up off the bed slowly. I winced in pain and put my hand over my lightning wound. It was not as bad as it should have been. I should probably be dead right now! But, some how the wound did not go deep or anything. It was as if something absorbed most of the strike before it hit me. None the less, it still hurt like a motherfucker. I picked up my shirt which had a picture of a pot leaf on it and said down at the bottom, 'Legalize it!' I pulled it on and looked down to see that someone hand sewed the bullet up. I then grabbed my black leather jacket and slipped it on over my shirt. I grabbed my money which did not have a wallet to call home sadly and I stuffed it in my pocket.
I looked at my gun and made sure the no one took the bullets out before I stuck it in my pocket saying "Pfft, strange." Under my breath. No one took my jeans off so I did not have to worry about that. I looked down at my sneakers on the floor and put them on. I left the room and walked down the hallway to an elevator and clicked the arrow pointing down. I stood there for a moment waiting on the elevator until it arrived. I saw someone in there with a cart so I politely got out of the way.
"Thank you, sir." Said the small pony nurse as she walked by, pushing the cart along with a frown.
"Your welcome." I said as I walked into the elevator and pressed the first floor button. I began to hum for a moment... then I realized what I just saw. "................................ HOLY SHEEP SHIT BATMAN!!!!!!!!!"
Chapter 2: Oh Mah Fahkin' Gawd...
As the elevator doors opened I stumbled out looking back into the elevator like the... the... thing that got out of it was still in there. "Is everything alright, sir?" Came a feminine voice from behind me. I spun around, raising my fists. It was young woman who had on a nurse uniform. "Maybe you should sit down. Can I get you any-" Before she could finish I grabbed her by the front of the shirt and pulled her close.
"What the fuck was that thing!?" I yelled as I pointed back at the elevator. She looked over my shoulder with fear in her eyes.
"Wha-what are you..?" She began but stopped when I gave her a 'Are you fucking retarded' face.
"The small white talking animal!" I screamed in her face. I was already sick in the head, and this was just putting all my self-control down the drain.
"You m-mean, Redheart?" She said, barely above a whisper.
I let go of the nurse causing her to fall onto the ground. 'How can this be possible!? Someone has to tell me what's going on!' I mentally screamed at myself as I ran my hands threw my hair.
"Hey!" Came a voice from my left. By the time I looked someone had rammed me up against the wall and kept me locked in place. I looked at him while I struggled. He had on some kind of armor like I had never seen before. It was like a S.W.A.T. team member or something except it had orange in places where it should be black. There were buttons and lights all over the suit like it was from the future. He did not have a helmet on but instead had bandages wrapped around the top of his head. His right eye was all patched up and had blood coming out from it. He looked at me and said in the most insane of ways. "Y-you think this is a game? You think, that you can just do what ever the fuck you wanna do!?"
I spat in his good eye.
He then swiftly reached down to his belt and pulled out something that looked like a weapon. It was mostly black and looked a lot like a revolver, except it had two cylinders, and two barrels. I immediately thought of it being called a 'Double-barrel Revolver.' Before I could snicker he stuck the end of it in my mouth. "W-we're fighting for yo-your freedom... and this! Is how you treat us!?" He screamed in my face. I began to think for a moment. 'There's no wars going on I don't think... he must have just gotten back from being over seas! Or... I'm over seas...' I shivered at the thought of being that far away from home.
"Mickey!" I heard someone yell. The guy holding me against the wall and I looked down the hallway to see someone else in the same armor as him walk toward us slowly, a doctor right behind him. "Put the gun down... We've all been through the same shit man. But, that doesn't give you the right to shoot every other civilian."
"He w-was messing with this here young-" As the gu-... 'Mickey.' said this he looked over to where the nurse I had been only to see the empty hallway.
'She ran away.' I thought as Mickey jerked his head around looking for her.
"B-but, she wa-was just here a second ago..." He said as he let me go.
I pushed him away from me and brushed myself off. "You were just seeing things, ya shitty fuck!" I lied as I looked at him straight in the eye.
"No. No, I saw you grab her and-" Mickey began but was cut off as the doctor grabbed him and stuck a shot in his arm and quickly pumped the liquid into his body. Mickey slowly began to fall to the floor as the... whatever the doctor had in that shot knocked him out. The doctor pulled the shot out of Mickey's arm and looked at me as he swore under his breath.
"I'm terribly sorry about that. But, we had a bit of a... 'prison break' as you could put it." He said as the other guy in the weird armor walked up.
He shook is head at Mickey and said under his breath. "Why did you have to end up here?"
The doctor looked at me and got a sparkle in his eyes. "Awww! Wait a minute! I know you. I was the one who tended to you while you were in a coma." He scratched at his chin after saying this, clearly processing something. "I have too say, everyone thought you'd be out for a few years at least. How did you wake up so fast?"
"Uhm..." I said as I began to think about it for a moment. "I don't know. It's like magic or somethin'. Am I right?"
The doctor nodded his head. "Yes, magic does work like that. But, I don't think a unicorn would be kind enough to do that for a human." He stated.
My smile turned into an 'O' as I slowly processed what he said. "Wait... uni-what?" I asked.
"Unicorn." Said the guard behind the doctor. "Those things were the worst to take on during the war. They're actually the reason poor Mickey is here." He said as he glanced to his unconscious friend. "The guy couldn't take it. They did stuff to his head during the war. Awful things."
I began to twitch. All this stuff was happening way to fast for my mind to process. 'First weird, pony like, things, then a psycho path veteran, now *fucking unicorns!***'
"Uh... sir," Said the doctor. "Is everything alright?"
I realized I was about to burst again, and this time it may get bloody. So I stopped belly aching about it and let out a deep breath. "W-where am I?"
He raised his eyebrow at this. "Uh... the hospital."
"No, No. I mean what country, state, city even." I said as I clenched my fists to try and control myself.
"Country? You mean to tell me you don't know what country your in?" He said as he cocked his head.
"Just please answer the damn question." I let out a little aggressively.
The doctor hesitated but eventually said. "Your in the great country of Anthroia. Named after it's original name, Equestria." He said with a nervous tone. "The city your in is the small quiet town of Humanville, also named after it's original name, Ponyville."
I twitched a little at the mention of 'ponies,' but just let it go and continued on. "Okay, now that that's done. I got some questions..."
_________________________________________________________________________________________
After an hour I had managed to ask question after question, and getting everything I needed to know. I asked about the ponies and what they were for. Apparently, there was a war a few years back that ended with the ponies becoming slaves to mankind. A few of the soldiers in the war were brainwashed by the unicorns (as strange enough as that is) resulting in them killing their own men. Once the spell wears off the soldier would remember every second of killing his men causing them to lose it.
The next thing I asked was why Mickey had the things he had with him. What happened was he had escaped from the place where they keep the crazies and let out some of his other friends from the war. They took down a few guards and Mickey had stripped one down to use the stuff he had to get out. Luckily he stopped to pay me a visit allowing the doctor and some of the local guards to get him back in his cell.
After that I asked about the young nurse that let me lose. The doctor's daughter had just started working there that day as a receptionist and when the alarm went off alerting everyone that the nut-jobs got out, the doc told her to go check on the patients he was supposed to tend to, including me. I was supposed to wake up in a few years, and when I woke up they we're going to let me go... to the local guard station (or police station). So some nurse just lazily scribbled down: 'When wakes, let leave.'
After all my questions were answered I thanked them for the information. But the guard apparently wanted to question me about the weird objects I have and why I don't know all the stuff I was asking them. And if your wondering why I'm not at the guard station right now, it's because I pulled my gun out before he could. As for the doctor, I could not kill him when he had such an adorable (not to mention HOT!!!) daughter. So to keep her happy. I shot him in the knee and told him that if he said anything about me to the guards, then I would come back to put another bullet in him.
Once I was done, I climbed out the nearest window and snuck my way into town. I began to wonder around, trying to get a good look around the city as the sun set.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
"HEY!!!" Screamed some guy in a weird smallish car. "Git outta da street! Don't you understand stoplights!?"
"No I don't!!!" I yelled at him as I rushed over to the other side of the street. Apparently, orange means go, purple means slowdown, green means stop, and blue means backup (Why would they even need that one!?).
I continued to be amazed at how things in this place were so much like stuff from home, but so different at the same time! Instead of police driving around in their cars, there were the same orange guards from the hospital, except they had strange rifles. The mags where on the left side of the rifle instead of on the bottom and the bolt was on the top, and when they weren't reloading it was used as the iron sight. They also road around in these slick looking cars that had sirens like a cop car and, for some reason, had a turret on top of them. I quickly noticed that each of these vehicles had a guard on mounting the turret, and that they would aim at ponies as they drove by them.
Speaking of ponies, here is one right now. "Hey you need some help?" I asked as I approached it. I had gotten used to the ponies awhile ago so I was not freaking out anymore.
"Huh?" She said as she looked over at me. At first she looked confused, but then quickly shook her head. "N-no. I'm alright..." She then went back to pushing a large crate that she could not lift.
"Uh, yeah you do." I said as she barely made the large crate go anywhere. She looked at me with confused, violet, eyes.
"L-listen," She said as she stopped pushing on the crate. "I don't really understand why you'd wanna help me, but I honestly have to do this." She said as she pointed at her hind leg. As my eyes focused on where she was pointing, I gasped quietly as I saw a big scar on her leg. After seeing that I began to look over her body some more to see bruises and a few cuts on her.
"Your owner..." I said as I realized what she was implying.
"He doesn't like it when I do things that he didn't plan on happening..." She said as she folded her ears back. I looked at her as I did every other pony I had seen. And all I saw was sadness, abuse, and slavery written all over it. "B-but, I'm sure you have better things to do anyways!" She said as she put her front two hooves up against the crate again. "Have a nice- WHOAHaaaaahWOW!!!" She yelled as she fell onto the ground. She shook her head and looked up at me as I finished picking up the crate and getting my hands underneath it.
"Jesus! What's in this thing?" I asked as I felt the weight of it make it a little harder to stand.
The mare got back up and dusted herself off while she nervously said. "Books..."
_________________________________________________________________________________________
"So, when a human bought a house, they also bought whatever ponies lived there as well?" I asked as me and the mare walked side by side. I had told her that I was not from around there so that I could ask her some stuff.
"Yeah, that's how my owner got me." She said. "I thought that me and him would get along since we both loved books, but... I quickly found out that he had a low temper and was also an alcoholic." She folded her ears back and shivered. This made me have to use all the strength in me to not drop the crate I was holding and give her a big hug.
"I'm sorry to hear that." I said as I got a little closer to her.
"It's fine, it's just that... every human that I've ever seen or met has hated ponies so much. But you..." She looked up at me, her eyes sparkling as they meet mine. "You're different."
"I told you that I'm from outta the country." I said as I stared back down at her. Her eyes where super huge! All the ponies eyes were! But, at the moment, her pupils where just as big! I again kept from giving her a squeeze.
"I know, but humans trade ponies to other humans who don't live in Anthroia." She said as she continued to look into my soul. "I know that you know this, but... no human has ever shown a pony kindness. Your the first..."
I began to process this for a moment. 'She means to tell me that she hasn't been shown kindness in what? Six. Seven years!?'
We stopped staring at each other as we reached a large tree that had windows, a balcony, and a door on it. Next to the door was a sign that read: 'Golden Oak Library.' The mare walked up to the door and knocked on it. She turned around and said. "You can go home now, like I said my master can get a little... he gets angry someti... a lot." She said.
I glanced at the door then back to her. "Uh... I don't think anybodies in there."
She looked back at the door and knocked again. No answer. She walked over to a window and looked inside. She sighed and turned back to look at me. "Passed out drunk." She calmly stated. She walked back over to me and looked up at me again. "You can just set that on the front step. I'll take it inside tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" I asked as I looked up at the sky. Sure enough, the sun was just finishing setting. "Aw shit." I said as I set the crate down.
"What's wrong?" Asked the mare as she looked up at me with a worried expression.
I face palmed and looked back down at her. "I was gonna find a place to stay while sun was still out, but now everyone's probably sleepin'." I said as I looked around.
"You can stay with me if you want." I heard her say while I was scanning the area for somewhere to sleep.
I looked down at her and raised a brow. "Really?" I asked.
"Yeah, I mean, you really saved my flank back there. No ponies are aloud outside alone after dark. Even during the day the guards yell at you." She said.
"Um... alright then, thanks." I said with a smile.
She looked at me and giggled. "I can't remember the last time somepony actually smiled at me." She said. She then turned around and waved a hoof at me, telling me to follow. We walked around to the other side of the library to find a small shack like thing that did not have a door or anything.
I stared at it for a moment until I looked at the mare next to me and asked. "You sleep in that?"
She looked at me and frowned. "Y-yeah, you'll get used to the small space if you stick around."
"No, no! It's not that, it's just..." I stopped for a moment, I wanted to tell her that I was just upset that someone... er... pony, like her would have to sleep in that all alone! "N-never mind. It's perfectly fine." I said as I got down on all fours and crawled into the shack. There was old dried up hay covering the ground and an old rag that I could only assume was a blanket. I leaned up against the wall as the pony crawled in and laid down next to me.
She pulled the blanket over her then looked at me. "Oh, I'm sorry. Here." She began to give me the blanket, but I pushed it back towards her.
"You need that more than I do." I said resulting in her giving me a smile. But what I did not expect was her leaning up against me. I began to blush a little as she cuddled up against me until she was comfortable. I looked down at her and smiled. "Hey, what's your name?"
"Twilight, Twilight Sparkle." She said with a yawn. "What's yours?"
I leaned my head back up against the wall and said. "Tony, Tony Shepard."
