Sweetie is a nice filly. She keeps her thoughts to herself, and obeys her family and friends. Even bullies. She has so much potential, but always brought down by her family and friends. Her mom and dad works abroad, and comes home every decade. Her sister, Rarity, is a popular, talented, and beautiful mare. Rarity acts nice, and generous in public, but Sweetie knows, that she could be a jerk from time to time whenever she wants to in her boutique. She thinks having Rainbow Powers make her a godess.
Sweetie was singing in the bathroom, in front of the mirror after having a nice warm bath. She was around the chorus, but then interrupted by her sister, Rarity. Telling Sweetie to be quiet, and to hurry up, because she needed to wash her hair. Sweetie, being obedient, followed her sister's words, and discontinued singing. She went out of the bathroom, and went to her room.
Sweetie was called from the outside by her friends. So she went outside, after telling Rarity she was to do so. Rarity agreed, so Sweetie took the signal, and went outside to see her friends. Sweetie was first to call out a group hug, and everyone did what she called out. Scootaloo was sweating bullets, while looking at Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom took the time, and after some silence, she spoke up and said that they found their cutie marks, and found more friends than her. Scootaloo apologizes, but tells Sweetie they'll still be friends with her.
Sweetie put on a fake smile. Of course. They're lying. They have their cutie marks, and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon have no reason to bully them anymore, except if they're still friends with a blank flank such as herself. Sweetie thanked them, and asked them if that was all. The others nodded, and took off. Sweetie sat down on the ground, and thought about her cutie mark. What if her cutie mark is nothing? Impossible. Rarity called her to go inside, as it is dinner time already.
Sweetie went inside, and headed straight to the table, and saw two plates with hay and carrots. Sweetie ate everything in silence, while Rarity was complaining about her gloomy face. Sweetie continued the silence after a while, and ended it when she went back to her room. She decided to sing a song, before she went to sleep.

Rarity stomped her hoof, and ordered silence. Sweetie obeyed, and decided that now was the best time to brush her teeth, and rest for tomorrow.

Sweetie woke up, and saw a little note on her bedside table. It said that
"Hey, Blank Flank! Better prepare for tomorrow! ~from D.T.
Had her friends joined Diamond? She was sure of it. They were like that. Join the better side. It's always like that. Every pony she knows, always goes to the better side, and never the side they were supported from. Never. And there she was, left alone from the worst side.
Rarity called her down, and asked her angrily if she could help her out. Sweetie smiled, and went down to help her. But instead of helping her, Sweetie made a huge mess instead. She slipped on some buttons, bumped the mannequins, and made the shelf of linen fall. Everything was a mess. Rarity scolded her, and wished ragingly for her to disappear, as she has no use in this world. Sweetie took it hard, and went outside without eating.
Diamond Tiara was first to greet her. "Hey blank flank! Looking a little down I see, are you sad that your friends are with us now?" Was her words. Sweetie looked more down, and walked slower. Silver Spoon was next. "Why won't you go disappear? Being a blank flank won't be much help here anyway!" Sweetie walked slower, and her eye color was becoming lighter.
Scootaloo was with them. She told Sweetie that "Did you really believe that we'll still be friends, blank flank? Well, you're wrong!". Apple Bloom then told her that "Maybe ya'll feel better with your friends, oh wait, ya don't have any!"
Sweetie stopped walking, and her eyes became clear. No shine, no color. Plain white. Sweetie looked up. And saw a rainbow. Is there really a land there? I wish I could go there.
The school bell rang, and every pony went inside the school, while Miss Cherilee went down to fetch Sweetie. "Are you okay darling?".. Sweetie didn't answer, but instead walked slowly. Miss Cherilee ignored her, and continued to carry her to the school.
Sweetie sat down on her desk, while being thrown with paper, erasers, and spitballs. Miss Cherilee ordered the class to stop, but Scootaloo and Apple Bloom threw the last paper balls to Sweetie. Sweetie looked down, and didn't mind.
Miss Cherilee told the class that today is talent day. Ever pony will show their talents in front of the class, and will be graded from their confidence, and crowd applaud.
Sweetie was first. Every pony was laughing and teasing her that she's a blank flank, a blank flank doesn't have any talents. But Sweetie stood her ground, and went in front of the class. She sung her song.

Everyone booed at her, and threw more paper balls at her. Everyone was saying the she sucked. She's terrible. That she should disappear. And her friends told her that she should visit the land she's talking about.
Sweetie smiled, and thanked her friends. Why didn't she think about it? She COULD visit the land. The Rainbow Land. Sweetie ran outside, and headed to the Everfree Forest. She visited Fluttershy, who quickly rejected her. As she is taking care of her animals. Sweetie went to the Ghastly Gorge, and went to the highest cliff. She saw a rainbow. She stared at it, and asked where the land is. She waited..
Meanwhile in Ponyville...
"Now class is dismissed."
"Hey. Apple Bloom, do you think we went a little overboard there?"
"Nah. Sweetie can take it. I'm sure of it"
"You know.., where is she?"
Rarity came in, and asked where Sweetie is. Sweetie always came home at the exact time. 5 o'clock sharp.
"She just probably took a detour. She was a little gloomy today"
"Thank you, Cherilee."
Rarity went off, and looked for Rainbow Dash. Soon, after half an hour, she found Dash, and asked to find Sweetie. Rainbow asked why, and Rarity told her because she's missing.
Rainbow understood, while Rarity headed home, to see if Sweetie is there.
Back to Sweetie...
The Rainbow was beginning to disappear, and night was coming. Sweetie didn't want to lose the rainbow. In fact, she wanted to visit the land.. But how?
Sweetie thought about it, and thought that, if she could fly, she could go there, but too bad she's not a pegasus... But.. She had seen Twilight do self-levitation, maybe she could do it. She tried to do it, but it didn't even last a second..
Maybe if she jumped?
Maybe if you died...
Maybe if she jumped, she could reach it!
Sweetie ran backwards, and ran forward to gain momentum.
She jumped, and heard shouts to tell her to stop. She looked around to see where it came from, and it came from Rarity. Rainbow Dash was with her, along with Scoots, and Apple Bloom. Sweetie smiled. She knew she couldn't make it. She was falling down.
Rainbow Dash raced to save her life, but when she caught up, Sweetie was crying.
Rainbow stopped. She just had to die with tears. Tears of sorrow, and pain. She just had to be hurt emotionally so much, that she just had think they should disappear, that she should just go away.
Sweetie landed to the sharp rocks, face first. Every pony was crying, every pony was blaming themselves. Every pony was crying in front of Sweetie's body.
It was because she was obedient. She followed every pony's wishes. She followed every body's wants. She did it because she was told to do so.
But before Sweetie breathed her last breath, she whispered.
"Aren't you supposed to be happy?"
