Tengen Toppa Twixie

"The not-so-great and not-so-powerful Trixie has been forced to live underground with Twilight. Digging is my job now rather than street performing."

These two ponies in a human world have been digging tunnels for ages. Wondering why they were forced to live underground, both of them got tired of the status quo. But they knew the more they dug, the more their settlement could expand.

"When our digging satisfies our village chief, he gives us pig steaks, but is this why Twilight and Trixie dig? No, not exactly."

After a while of digging, Trixie found a glowing green drill-shaped amulet and put it on. "Trixie also digs so she can find treasure. And what is this amulet? It looks nothing like the Alicorn Amulet!" Then she made another tunnel and fell through a wall.

Upon falling through the wall, she was surrounded by a bunch of other diggers who mocked her. "Hey, it's the not-so-great and not-so-powerful Trixie! She lied about banishing the Ursa Minor, and by being a rock farm pony she's missed out on lots of major events! And now she's been reduced to digging tunnels underground."

Trixie was saddened and walked away with her head down before walking into purple winged unicorn Twilight Sparkle. Twilight told her, "Trixie, it's been a while since I last saw you! Walk with your head held high!" Twilight pulled the drill-shaped amulet off and held it up. "Your horn is your soul, got it? That amulet does not belong to the village chief because it's who you are. Yours is the horn that will pierce the vault of the heavens!"

Trixie wondered "Why the not-so-great and not-so-powerful Trixie?"

Twilight answered, "I want to go on another epic action-packed adventure with you. You've been digging for a million years now. Are you fed up with the status quo? Because I sure am. I want to go to the surface, if not the stars!"

Trixie told her, "The Great And Powerful Trixie was a fraud! She didn't really banish an Ursa Minor! She's been ignored a lot! So I can't do it! There's probably a reason why the two of us are being forced to live underground. Have YOU seen what's on the surface?!?"

Twilight replied, "I sure have. There's sunlight, flora, and fauna everywhere. And a lot of books to read. Don't just believe in yourself. Believe in me, believe in the magic of friendship, and believe in yourself! Now let's get the hay out of this hellhole." The two ponies hopped onto some mole pigs and rode them up a huge staircase in an attempt to break through the roof with their horns. "AIM FOR THE SURFACE!" Right before they reached the roof, the nondescript village leader knocked the ponies downward with a toy lightsaber. They rolled back down the staircase like balls, and landed on their backs. "Ouch. I forgot that I'm not that physically strong due to lack of exercise."

Then the village leader told the two of them, "Serves you right! You'd be in an even worse condition if you went to the surface! There are lots of Robeasts up there, and they'll destroy anypony who breaks through the roof!"

Twilight and Trixie touched their horns together to heal each other. Then Twilight told him, "I've been there. By living underground you're missing out on sunlight, flora, and fauna. No walls, no ceiling up there! And there are massive libraries at the surface. I love reading! I read books about doing the impossible and making things happen when you're fed up with the status quo."

After calling her a liar, the village leader pulled out a wand and cast Crucio on Twilight, causing her to feel even more pain. "There were lots of wide-eyed idealists up there, and they got obliterated by giant Robeasts! Huge mechanical critters overseen by a deadly warlord. This village is the canopy that keeps us safe from those Robeasts. Since you didn't get destroyed, you're obviously lying! This underground village is all we have."

Trixie yelled, "STOP IT! CAN'T YOU SEE IT'S BOTHERING HER! STOP IT!" And she hit him with Expelliarmus, causing the wand to fly out of his hand. As he tried to hit Trixie with his toy lightsaber again, Trixie swung her cape to swat it aside a few times. She then shot him with a nondescript white bolt, turning him into a white ferret. "Twilight here is still my friend." She bounced the ferret up and down, then healed Twilight. "Twilight, you probably remember when I called myself The Great And Powerful Trixie, right? I used to perform real magic. Behold, the amazing bouncing ferret! I've got something else to show you too."

Twilight winked as a yes.

Still bouncing the ferret around, the two ponies walked down a chamber to see Lagann, a robotic head that was taller than the two of them stacked on top of each other. "Trixie bumped into that head while digging." It looked like the head of one of the Sentinels from the X-Men franchise. At this point, her amulet started to glow repeatedly. "Is Trixie's amulet connected to this head?" She examined Lagann to look for the amulet slot, telekinetically opened its head door, and climbed inside. "Check this out! It must be some kind of transportation device." Inside Lagann, she noticed a slot that glowed the same color as her amulet and put it inside. Lagann turned on, and Trixie was able to make it walk with magic.

Then the roof of the chamber shattered and an ox-headed Robeast jumped through the hole. Twilight said to the crowd around the Robeast, "Yep, that's the surface which exists. This fella fell from the surface. And as for you chief, I thought it was your duty to protect everypony from these Robeasts of which you speak!"

The ferret ran away in shock, and Twilight picked up his lightsaber before walking up to the Robeast. "Do you know who you're up against?!? You're up against the magic of friendship, utilized by phenomenal Princess Twilight Sparkle and The Great And Powerful Trixie Lulamoon!"

The Robeast told both of them, "You there! I heard you want to go to the surface! As soon as you turned on that weapon Lagann, his energy signature lead me right to you! PREPARE TO DIE! And what could you measly ponies do to stop me?"

Twilight said, "This." She shot the Robeast multiple times while shouting "Flipendo" each time, making him slide back with each shot. She then sent him through a wall with a charged one. He got back up and charged at her, but Trixie used Lagann to pull her out of the way. The Robeast smashed into another wall.

Trixie told Twilight, "This face seems to be telling me it has the power to get us out of this mess and it belongs to The Great And Powerful Trixie. Shall we let it waste that Robeast?"

Twilight climbed inside Lagann as well. "Just do it!" And as their horns glowed, Lagann started to fly before landing on top of the Robeast's head. The Robeast tried to punch them, but ended up hitting himself several times as they dodged his attacks.

Then both ponies shouted "Expelliarmus" and shot the Robeast's arm off with a white bolt. Trixie made Lagann jump, pushing the Robeast downward with Newtonian physics. The Robeast broke another wall while collapsing. Then his teeth rushed up to meet Lagann.

"LIKE I SAID, PREPARE TO DIE!" shouted the Robeast.

Twilight told him "I've always bounced back" before she and Trixie focused more magic into Lagann. "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" Twilight stuck the lightsaber into its power slot as well for slashing purposes. Lagann sprouted drill arms and severed the Robeast's teeth and other arm while flying. Lagann then went under him and started pushing him towards the ceiling. "Trixie and I are going to the surface. Yippie kie yay mother bucker! AVADA GIGA DRILL KEDAVRA EXPELIARMUS! A few seconds later, both the ceiling and the Robeast exploded as Twilight and Trixie burst through them in Lagann. Upon seeing the surface, the two ponies were amazed to finally see mountains, sunlight, and grass. But then they realized that the Robeast they just destroyed was just the first of many, as two more were staring them down.
