Tyrannus heard a noise behind him, he turned to see that he was in his castle again. Then he saw the unicorn. The unicorn had one eye, the other one cut out with a sword, he had an artificial hoof attached to make up for one he lost in a fight, his mane was long and darker than the night, and he wore scaled armor. Worst of all, the unicorn had fangs and wore the crown of darkness. The blade he carried was about three and a half feet wide, 12 feet in length: The Dragon Bone Smasher.

Tyrannus knew exactly who this was "Seraphim, I thought my soldiers had killed you by now"

"Sorry, Tyrant, I'm not killed so easily"

"Yet you walk alone, prince. Did you fail to protect your friends? Break your promise to them? Let them die?"

Seraphim scowled "Y-you Alicorns. . .Alicorns of concept, so easily corrupted, you fail to realize that mortals are dangerous"

"Hmph, but was is a mortal? A being whose destiny is to die and rot. Just like your friends. . .How is my sister?"

"Better than you! I'll kill you, monster!"

"But you're right, I am a monster. I'll openly admit that. You and I are the same, no?"

"What difference does it make?"

"None, I wanted to see if you had ideals. And. . .I was talking about my other sister"

"Absque? The one you violated and tossed from the highest tower after breaking her wings like worthless trash? You'll get nothing!" Seraphim charged the Alicorn, preparing to swing the Dragon Bone Smasher. He would cleave Tyrannus in two.

Tyrannus summoned both his blades; Eid Brecher and Obtemperatio, and prepared to block the strike. He wasn't prepared for the strength that the unicorn held. The overhead strike hit the blades head on, when Tyrannus blocked though, he didn't have the strength to push the unicorn back. He was pushed out from under the Dragon Bone Smasher into a wall. Tyrannus was quick to gain his bearings, and jumped straight upwards. There was no way Seraphim coul-

Seraphim rebounded off of multiple pillars and flung himself at Tyrannus. He spun the Dragon Bone Smasher, he would finish this in one blow. He swung at Tyrannus, but the alicorn was prepared for the strike and evaded it, then he stabbed Seraphim with both blades, hoping to end the fight.

Seraphim and the Dragon Bone Smasher clattered to the ground. . . Everything started to fade to black for the unicorn prince. Then there was a voice.

"Seraphim NO! You shan't die here!" Seraphim looked up from the ground to see a wall of flame between him and Tyrannus, and controlling the flame was none other than Solarus, princess of sunlight. She turned towards him "Princess Luna's birthday is tomorrow, you have a promise to keep. . ." She began to cast a healing spell to close his wounds.

"Younger sister, surely you didn't think a fire spell could keep me back" Solarus whipped around to face the voice, but she was knocked away by Tyrannus. Solarus fumbled for her lance, but Tyrannus kicked her away from it. Then he turned his attention back to Seraphim. He lifted Seraphim up with magic "I gave you a chance to join me. . .you stubbornly refused. Look at you now, broken, dying, I will give you one more chance, Prince of Unicorns"

A smirk crossed Seraphim's face "You think I would consort with the likes of you? You are the fool.Rook to F-6; Checkmate" Using his fangs, he grabbed a ring hanging from a chord on his artificial forehoof and pulled, causing the 'hoof' to unhinge and reveal an opening. Tyrannus's eyes widened as an explosion emerged from the artificial forehoof and took half his head, one of his wings and split his chest cavity open.

Seraphim swung his artificial hoof shut, picked up the Dragon Bone Smasher, and swung at Tyrannus for the kill. Tyrannus looked Seraphim in the eyes, what He saw wasn't a pony, it was a monster with a craving for blood. . .

"Sparrow, You okay?"

Sparrow snapped to attention "Wha?"

Rarity looked at him with concern "You space out sometimes, it just worries me"

"Oh. . .Uh, it's all right, I'm fine"

"Good, anyways, I thought you were the type of pony who wears a scarf, so I made one for you." She showed Sparrow a red and grey scarf, it was a few feet long "Um. . Could you please try it on?"

"Um. . .okay" Sparrow wrapped the scarf around his neck and admired it's softness, rubbing up against the side of his face. Rarity looked at the scarf, it wasn't the best, but Sparrow seemed to love it. "Th-thank you Rarity!" He hugged Rarity tightly.

Rarity sighed with relief, the scarf's purpose was twofold. one; it was a gift, and two; to hide the signet necklace. Somepony walking around wearing a royal signet necklace was bound to draw attention."Now then Sparrow, I'm going to need you to let go of me"

"Oh! I'm t-terribly sorry" Sparrow let go of Rarity, and started to look towards the floor, ashamed.

Rarity smiled at him "Don't worry Sparrow, it's all right. Hugs are considered a sign of appreciation. Anyhow, we need to take my sister to school and you to the library"

Sparrow immediately perked up "What's a school?"

"Oh don't be silly, Sparrow you shou-" Rarity stopped herself, the spoke again "A school is a place where ponies recieve an education"

"Then why am I going to the library?"

"You have a talent, ponies with talents can't be taught by schools once they have talents. . ." Then she remembered Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara "At least, most ponies"

"Okay, but I'd still like to see this school"

Rarity turned away from Sparrow "Give me a second. . .Sweetie Belle! Are you ready for school?"

Sweetie Belle came bounding into the room with a lunchbox "Yes Rarity, is Sparrow coming with?"

"Why yes he is, He's curious about what a school is" Rarity, Sweetie Belle, and Sparrow trotted over to the front door. Sweetie Belle started explaining school more in depth to Sparrow as they left the Carousel Boutique, unaware of the tragedy that would befall the day. . . .
