Moon Beam's Equestria

The dark blue filly ran through the streets of Ponyville. The world of Equestria was in complete darkness despite the fact it was noon.

"One day," she muttered to herself as her black and white hair trailed. "Only one day..."

Suddenly she crashed into an old, pale orange pegasus on a scooter.

"Careful, young one!" the elder laughed.

"You can't just bash into ponies like that, Moon Beam!" a stallion nearby yelled at the filly.

"Sorry!" Moon Beam replied as she ran.

"I remember when my sister was alive, she always rushed everywhere like that," the old mare whispered as she smiled.

Suddenly a thought struck Moon Beam. "I'm a pegasus!" she muttered as she facehoofed. Then she took to the sky and flew into a couple of dark clouds (they weren't storm clouds, but everything is dark without the sun). After flying away from them, Moon Beam headed North towards her house in the clouds.

Meanwhile at Moon Beam's home, her mother (Midnight Star) and younger sister (Moon Gaze) were preparing pizza for lunch.

"Mum, where is Moon Beam? She's been gone all day!" Moon Gaze suddenly asked.

Midnight Star thought about this question for a few seconds. "Moon Beam should be here soon. Don't worry," she replied in a calm voice.

All of a sudden Moon Beam burst in through the door. "Am I late? Oh, I probably am! Sorry!" she gasped as she was out of breath.

Midnight smiled. "How long do you have left to finish the essay darling?" she asked Moon Beam.

"That's the problem," the filly replied. "Only until tomorrow!"

Midnight's smile quickly turned into an expression of shock. "Do you have a lot of it left to do?"

"Unfortunately, yes," Moon Beam gulped as she lowered her head. "Yes I do."

Both of them knew that if you didn't finish your assignment from Nightmare Moon herself, you had to suffer the ultimate punishment. You were thrown into The Void.

"I can try to finish it," Moon Beam said.

"Go. Quickly," Midnight hurried her.

Moon Beam went up to her room to finish writing the one million word essay on why life in darkness is better than life in daylight. She was only on the four thousandth word. She looked at the paper and decided that she couldn't finish. Instead, she watched her favourite show about Equestria before Nightmare Moon took over. It was called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. As Moon Beam heard the theme for the last time, she heard her mother call from downstairs.

"Moon Beam," her mother sobbed. "Her Majesty is here to see you."

Moon Beam gave the TV a sad look. "Why can't I be there, with Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy and Apple Jack?" she asked herself as she flew down the stairs. She then landed and walked up to the unexpected guest. "Good afternoon, Your Majesty," Moon Beam said as she bowed down. "What, may I ask, brings you here?"

"You know very well why I'm here, filly," Nightmare said. "You're going to The Void."

"But Your Majesty!" Moon Beam replied, alarmed. "I-I have until tomorrow to finish the assignment!"

"Are you trying to argue with your QUEEN?" Nightmare yelled, enraged.

"N-n-n-no of course not," Moon Beam stammered.

"Then you are to go to The Void, AT ONCE!" Nightmare shouted.

Seeing there was no way out, Moon Beam looked back at her family."Goodbye. I will miss you," she said as she hugged her mother and sister.

"We will miss you too, Moon Beam," they replied.

Moon Beam then flew reluctantly towards the dungeon where The Void was. Tears streamed from her eyes as she thought of all the ponies she couldn't say goodbye to.

"Can't you fly any faster?" Nightmare yelled as she teleported Moon Beam and herself to the dungeon of The Void.

"Into The Void then, you poor excuse of a filly!" Nightmare said as she nudged the terrified pony towards the circle of nothingness on the floor. "I SAID GO!" the evil ruler yelled as she shoved Moon Beam into The Void. Nightmare then turned to a guard. "Is Celestia definitely gone? I haven't heard of her for three months."

"Yes," the guard replied. "She has been taken care of."

"Good," the mare smiled.

Suddenly, Moon Beam was surrounded by nothing but black. She knew that sooner or later she would die of thirst or hunger. Her tears floated around her in streams as she drifted through the nothingness.

"Boo!" a voice behind Moon Beam suddenly shouted. Moon Beam leapt into the air (well, technically she leapt into void,but you know what I mean). "Sorry! Did I scare you?"

Moon Beam wiped her tears and turned around to see somepony who looked like Rainbow Dash, but with a poptart body. "Who are you?" she asked.

"I am Nyan Dash!" The strange pony replied. "The author of this fanfic! And I make the biggest wish of everypony who ends up in 'The Void' come true! So what's your wish, Moon Beam?"

"How-" Moon Beam started to say.

"Do I know your name?" Nyan Dash interrupted. "I'm the author of this fanfic! I created you and made everything that just happened, happen!"

"Why did you make me get thrown into The Void?" Moon Beam asked angrily.

"Umm...that's not important. How about I teleport you to Equestria before Nightmare Moon took over?" Nyan Dash asked.

"You can do that? Then please do so!" Moon Beam replied.

"Ok then. You might have a headache for a while, but you'll be in the MLP:FiM version of Equestria! Have fun!" Nyan Dash said as she faded from Moon Beam's view. Suddenly everything became darker, but Moon Beam's cutie mark (a moon with three stars) shone brightly. Moon Beam then heard voices of six ponies she recognised...but she couldn't think of the names...

"Oh my! Are you okay?"

"You don't look so great, darling."

"Where did ya come from, sugar-cube?"

"Ooh I know what she needs! A welcome party!"

"No! I need to study her! I've never seen anypony like this!"

"Guys look she's waking up!"
