That's it, I'm going. I'm finally going.
This is what I've always wanted, is it not? I simply cannot wait to be among the most famous ponies of all Equestria!
Still, I'll miss this little town. It will be deeply missed. I shouldn’t even be suffering right now, but what can I do? I'll be away from my friends, family and more importantly, my sister. My sister, the little filly I've spent most time, she will be missed most.
I've been in this town my whole life. I remember when I trotted into school as a filly and dreamed of becoming a great fashion designer. I remember when I earned my cutie mark, when I made fabulously perfect costumes for the theater group. I was the only filly in the class who didn’t have a Cutie Mark up to that moment, and never thought it would be like that.
There are multiple ponies with same or similar Cutie Marks that symbolize them having the same special talent. However, I never saw anypony with a mark mirrored to mine. Maybe if it was common, I wouldn’t even be leaving Ponyville now, and I would be a pony that would be here all her life until death. That would not be so bad; my friends are still here...
I’ll still be able to see them, right? Will I be too busy going to dances, concerts and other events that I’ll be invited to attend? You know, I remember when I met my first friend here in Ponyville. She is a shy Pegasus who had recently moved to the city; she had never been very good at flying, and still not the best; she only flies when she finds it necessary too. My second friend is an earth pony I met in school. Lived on rock farm; now, she has her own party business; obliviously, life on a farm is not and never will be her kind of fun.
I cannot remember very well when my other friendships came along, but maybe it’s because they are not as old. Of course, all of them are very valuable, but the only measure for friendship is the time, even being a dubious and unfair measure.
Another injustice is the fact that my family cannot come with me. Of course, they also have friendships here that only multiply and grow stronger with time. And I'm already a grown mare; I can live alone in a big city. My sister would love to go with me, but I feel so sorry for her; she also wants to spread her work wherever she goes. Except that our talents are completely different; just a talent hunt could hire her. I'm rooting for this happen.
I leave my house, for the last time I shall call it home. It will remain a house, but only to my sister, but to me it’s just a memory of happiness. No clouds in the sky, perhaps they don’t want the winged chariot to come pick me up and face obstacles, it was likely a coincidence.
It is a decisive day for me, but Ponyville seems to be in the ordinary. Perhaps nothing will change, even after I leave. Nothing really has changed, not to mention the ponies that come and go, maybe it’s this way in all cities.
As I go to the address designated for my pickup, ponies along the way greet me, thank me for all I've done, said their goodbyes. Maybe that's what awaits me when I make success in the new city. Last night was my farewell party, courtesy of Pinkie Pie. I took the best she could provide, because I know that the parties of big cities are very different.
I get a sight of the winged chariots landing runway. There is nothing else to do. All that I can see are some tents around with drinks and food with varying prices; an empty counter where a pony should be to sell tickets; last along the way is a huge field outside it all with only two carriages, but without anypony riding or drawing them. There is still an hour until my flight.
Fluttershy comes to my side without making any noise, and says she hopes to amuse me in my new life, since she would not dare to meet too many new ponies. We say our goodbyes and she says good luck to me before others arrive wanting to say goodbye.
Apple Bloom is the next to arrive. She says she needs to go to the grocery store, so it is a brief goodbye. She hugs me tight, says goodbye and leaves. She was never very sentimental, and not as well as her sister is; always wanting to be strong at any cost.
Here comes more ponies for me to say "goodbye" or "good luck" and "I’ll miss you". Daisy, Roseluck, Lily, Colgate, Caramel, Vinyl and Octavia, Lyra and Bonbon, Applejack and Big Mac; AJ confirms my suspicions about Apple Bloom and her brother reinforces with a "Eeyup".
Nurse Redheart comes along and says she remembers me from when I was a newborn. Thunderlane, Doctor Whooves and his bride, Derpy, along with her daughter, Dinky come along too to say their goodbyes too. Cheerilee, who fathom me for a quick conversation; after all, she was my teacher. Twilight Sparkle, who says she passed Sugarcube corner and Pinkie was still asleep. She had given me the best farewell of all compared to all else so far.
Scootaloo comes with a letter from Rainbow Dash. I didn’t see Dash, neither at the party nor today, because of the rigid regime of training for the Wonderbolts, but she made me a Pinkie Promise. She said she'd see me again, at the Great Galloping Gala.
She was there keeping the role of “the most awesome pony in both Cloudsdale and Ponyville” as well as Rainbow the one who is 20% cooler. She hadn’t changed much after these years, thankfully.
The carriage arrived and the couple Pegasus stallions took my luggage and placed in the carriage. Yes, many ponies had gone up to me to say goodbye. But only one had not come to me...
“Sweetie Belle!”
It was my sister who had finally arrived. She ran to me, knocked me over, and hugged me tightly; she told me she loved me. She said she would feel such a lack of me and she would, that is true. All this in the midst of a cry for her. With that, a single tear flowed down my cheeks. I separated from my sister; looked at each other and smiled weakly. It was a fact that one day it would happen, but we were not prepared. Nopony is.
I say I love her and I always will miss her. I boarded onto my flying chariot, still with my sister watching me, and more tears fell from our eyes. Thus, the carriage took off. I Left there and left everything in the past. But I will never forget all that I faced to get here. Maybe I’ll have a problem and get to move back or maybe I'll make new friends and all that will be past.
I realize I still have the bag on my back. The journey is long, so I decided to read the letter, but it was not a letter from just Rainbow Dash...
Nothing compares what we’ve faced all these years, but our friendship prevailed with all the evil there is in this world, with all obstacles of the King of Chaos, King Sombra, Nightmare Moon and others. Do you really think our friendship will go away because of a change in scenery? We never would do that. We are the Elements of Harmony and we'll have a friendship that will last forever, and even after forever.
