Crystal Nightmares

As you are aware nightmares have been plaguing Equestria. For weeks we haven't been able to trace the source of the nightmares as it keeps moving, never staying in one place for too long. But lucky for us princess luna has been able to trace the nightmares to its source, twilight I must ask you that if you see anyone suspicious stall them, do whatever you can to stall them make sure they stay long enough so luna will  be able to bring them in for questioning. In the meantime I want you to research anything you have on 'Shadows' and report back to me as soon as you find something.

"SPIKE!!!"

A purple dragon came to the living room where twilight was reading the letter. "What is it twilight? What did the letter say?" The lavender unicorn turned toward spike.

"Spike I need you to bring me any books you can find on 'Shadows' after that I want you gather the rest of the girls here." Before Spike could respond, the front doors slammed open and two ponies walked in, one was a cyan blue pegasus with rainbow colored hair, the other one was a pink earth pony whose puffy hair that seemed to defy gravity.

Rainbow flew straight to twilight only stopping inches from her face. "Hey Twilight !, did you hear there's going to be a show in one hour, apparently their going to have a live tamed dragon participate in the show!"

Spike perked up at the mention of a dragon " A dragon huh?, maybe this is my chance to learn more about dragons!" Spike turned towards twilight with a massive grin on his face. "Twilight can we go, can we? please!!!!" Spike tried his best to give Twilight the puppy dog eyes he learned from sweetie belle whenever she wanted something.

Twilight look uncertainly into spike's pleading eyes, "But Princess Celestia is count-." Twilight look backed only to see both rainbow dash and pinkie pie looking at her with pleading eyes, she sighed in defeat. "Fine lets go." Twilight and the rest of the group left the library excited about the show that's about to take place.

~One hour later, town hall~

Twilight and the others arrived at town hall, and surprised to see over half of ponyville gathered in front of the stage. "Whoa almost all of ponyville is here!"

Twilight look over at pinkie "Yeah this show sure as attracted a lot of ponies-" a purple claw claimed twilights mouth shut "SHHH!!! its starting"

Two hooded figures appeared on the stage " Welcome one and all and please give a warm welcome to-" the shorter figure and the taller figure grabbed their cloaks and discarded them to reveal Trixie and a pale pink colored dragon with piercing yellow eyes and thin black colored pupils, his mouth had a overgrown fang sticking out that made him seem slightly intimidating, his body was a serpent shape and a bit well tone, his wings were twice his size, both of his arms had a black gauntlet with golden highlights each had a symbol of a Golden Star with a black heart in the center, in his chest seemed to be a large purple gem lodge in his stomach, he also seemed to not have any legs making others think that he was just a oversized snake until they saw his arms and wings, he seemed to no taller than luna. "The Great and Powerful Dragon Tamer Trixie and her great and loyal assistant Kaizer Star!" Fireworks went of making their appearance seem more grand. But the audience had the mixed expressions of anger and annoyed.

Rainbow dash flew above the crowd and straight into Trixie "And what are you doing here! Didn't we kicked you out when you brought that ursa major here!"

Trixie gritted her teeth in frustration " I'm here for one reason and one reason only to challenge twilight sparkle in magic duel in my show so all can see that I am the greatest unicorn ever!" Trixie struck a pose." I mean after all how many unicorns can say they defeated a dragon in combat and have that same dragon become her loyal assistant"

The crowd looked at Trixie astonished with disbelieve in their eyes. Suddenly Applejack shouted from the crowd " Well, what makes you think that you can beat twilight at a magic duel!"

Trixie looked down at the crowd "Well I think that's its quite simple"

" I must admit your parlor tricks are amusing

I bet you got a bunny under your hat

now here your chance to get the best of me

hope your hoof is hot

come on, foals, lets see what you got!

You try to wow me with your fashion taste

but you find that I leave haute couture disgraced

As soon as Trixie stop singing everypony looked at twilight as if they were waiting for something. Twilight looked around until she found out they were waiting on her." why are you all staring at me?"
