Chapter 6 The Light of Day

Rarity opens her eyes and sees Bon Bon standing a few feet away.

Bon Bon slowly falls in half.

“aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!” Rarity screams.

Everypony jumps awake.

“What’s wrong?” Thunderstorm and David says.

Rarity points to Bon Bon.

“Oooh bit.” David says.

“What the buck?” Thunderstorm says.

A creature runs at Twilight.

“aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!” She screams.

David catches it’s scythe and stabs it into its own body and slices up.

SHING!! SHING!!

Thunderstorm spins around and cuts it in half.

It falls down dead.

“What was that?” Thunderstorm says.

“A Twitcher.” “They’re quite dangerous so….yeah.” “We should get out of here before more show up.” David says.

“You heard the pony.” “Let’s move out.” “Back into formation.” Thunderstorm says.

“Do you really think we’ll find any survivors?” Rarity says.

“I hope so.” Thunderstorm says.

“Can I stay near you?” “I’m scared.” Rarity says.

“Of course Rare.” “Let’s move!” Thunderstorm says.

5 miles later.

“Are you ok now partner?” “No more of them hallucinations?” Applejack says.

“I don’t know.” Thunderstorm says.

“I couldn’t even imagine what it’s like to have your own mother try to kill ya.” Applejack says.

“AJ please.” “I don’t want to talk about it.” Thunderstorm says.

“Sorry partner.” Applejack says.

“It’s ok AJ.” Thunderstorm says.

“Son.” “My son.” A voice says.

Thunderstorm stops walking.

“N…No.” “Not again.” Thunderstorm says.

Luna appears in front of him.

“Hello son.” She says.

Thunderstorm starts to stumble.

“M…Mother.” He says.

Applejack grabs him.

“Don’t fall partner.” She says.

“Mother…” Thunderstorm says.

His eyes close.

“Whether he hits the ground or not makes no difference.” “He’ll still enter the hallucination.” David says.

“Thunderstorm?” The filly says.

“He’ll be fine little buckaroo.” “You’ll see.” Applejack says.

In Thunderstorm’s head.

“Get away from me!!” Thunderstorm says.

“Why do you want me to leave you son?” Luna says.

“You’re not my mother!!” Thunderstorm says.

“How could you say that?” “Do you not love me?” “Is that why it was so easy for you to let me die?” “To not hear my screams for my own son to help me…..to save me.” Luna says.

Tears go down Thunderstorm’s cheeks.

“aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!” “Get away from meeeeeeeee!!!” “Stop it.” “Stop it please.” “I’m sorry….I’m so sorry.” “Mother.” He says and falls to his knees crying.

Luna walks up to him.

Her eyes glowing.

“Join me my son.” “Walk into the light with me.” She says.

Light appears behind her.

“I…..” Thunderstorm says.

“I miss you son.” “Please come with me.” “Make us whole.” Luna says.

“I….I….Mother…..” Thunderstorm says.

Back to David and Applejack.

“Whoa!” “Whoa!” “His health is dropping and it’s dropping fast!!” Applejack says.

“Oh bit.” David says.

“Thunderstorm?” The filly says.

“Thunder….please…make it.” Rainbow Dash says.

“Oh here comes some more of those sword guys.” Pinkie Pie says.

“What?” “Ooooh buck.” “That’s Twitchers Pinkie.” David says.

“I know.” Pinkie Pie says.

5 more join them.

“We’re screwed.” David says.

One heads straight for Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash’s eyes go wide.

SHING!!

Thunderstorm appears in front of her.

His eyes glowing red.

His armor clashed against the Twitchers scythe.

“Don’t…touch….her.” Thunderstorm says.

SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!!

It falls down in pieces.

One heads for the filly.

Thunderstorm’s eyes turn blank.

SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!! SHING!!

It falls in tiny pieces.

Storm clouds form in the sky.

“Families, fillies, mares, you kill them all and I’m….tired…..of……it.” “Ha huh.” Thunderstorm says.

“Stand back everypony.” David says.

“You…even…killed….this…..ones……..mother!!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!” Thunderstorm
says.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CRACKLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ground shakes and cracks.

Thunderstorm goes through them like some graceful dance of death.

They all fall down dead.

“Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn…nnnnn..nnnnnnnnnnn.” Thunderstorm says.

“Uh…you ok Thunder?!” David says.

Thunderstorm’s eyes focus.

“Yeah….fine.” “Ha huh.” “Ha huh.” Thunderstorm says and walks back to them.

“You ok Dashy?” He says.

Rainbow Dash kisses him and smiles.

“I’m fine thanks to you.” “Like always.” She says.

Thunderstorm smiles back.

“You….protected me?” The little filly says.

“Yes I did kid.” Thunderstorm says.

“You got that mad over me?” The little filly says.

“You were most of it yes.” Thunderstorm says.

“Mommy is dead?” The little filly says.

“I should’ve told you straight off but yes she is.” “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner kid.” Thunderstorm says.

“You got that mad over me.” The little filly says.

“We better move.” “We don’t know if…” “Oof.” Thunderstorm says and looks down to see the little filly hugging his hoof.

Tears going down her cheeks.

“Why are you crying sweetie?” Thunderstorm says.

The little filly looks up at him.

“I have a daddy.” She says.

“I….I….uh….” Thunderstorm says.

He looks into her light blue eyes and sighs.

“Yes you do sweetie.” He says.

She hugs his hoof tighter and smiles wider.

“Hop on my back sweetie.” Thunderstorm says.

She hops onto is back and hugs his neck.

“What’s your name sweetie?” Thunderstorm says.

“Dia De Los Muerto.” The little filly says.

“Oh Luna.” Thunderstorm says.

Everypony stares at her.

“What?” “What’s wrong?” She says.

“Nothing.” Twilight says.

“Let’s just get walking.” Thunderstorm says.
