The New Jem

After their two week honeymoon, Crystal and Damen returned to their homes, Crystal was moving out of her tiny apartment to live with Damen, half a block away from where she was. The good thing about it was that Mrs. Snapple lived in the same area, and Stardella was moving there because of a new job opportunity there.

Crystal Feather’s waist was a little larger than what she had remembered. Crystal was packing up all her stuff so she was ready for her move. Soon there was a knock on her door.

Who could that be? I don’t remember calling any pony.

Crystal opened the door, only to see a dark blue Alicorn mare at her door.

“Hey Stardella! What are you doing here?” Crystal asked.

“I just came to see you, but also to help you. I just noticed that you look like you have gained some weight there Crystal.”

“Do you think so?”

“I’m being honest Crystal. Do you think that you’re pregnant?”

“Why would you think that?!”

“Think about it Crystal! You look like you have gained weight, and Damen has been telling me that you always want to have your sandwiches! Something about it doesn’t seem right.”

“Star, I’ll go see my doctor tomorrow after I move out from here, and Damen can possibly take me. If not, I’ll either get you or Mrs. Snapple.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

Stardella and Crystal worked together to finish up the small apartment to get Crystal out and to Damen. That night, Crystal was with Damen in their new home. And like she promised to Stardella, Crystal made an appointment to see her doctor.

That afternoon the next day, Crystal and Damen went to the doctor’s office. Sitting in the waiting room, Damen’s phone rang. Damen grabbed his phone and trotted outside to take the call. It seemed important.

What could possibly be going on?

Soon Damen came back inside the room, “I’m sorry Crystal that was my boss. He wants to see me now. I called Stardella and she is on her way.”

“It’s okay Damen, I’ll see you later then.” Crystal responded.

Soon Stardella showed up and Damen left the waiting room. Crystal started to tear up.

“What’s wrong Crystal?” Stardella asked.

“It’s just that I am so scared, I don’t think that I am pregnant, but being that I have gained some weight! Plus, Damen’s boss is taking him away from me when I need him most. I just, I’m so confused and scared.” Crystal explained.

“It is okay, Crystal. I’m right here for you. All that happens to you today, I’ll make sure that Damen knows about it. Maybe I’ll have a little talk with him.”

“Don’t worry about it Star, I’ll just try and get used to it.”

“Crystal Feather?!” one of the nurses called.

Crystal and Stardella got up, Stardella stood beside Crystal as she sat down on the bed.

“What’s going on with you Crystal?” the doctor asked as he entered the room.

“Well, as of recent events that have happened to me, I want to take a test for pregnancy. I think that I am.” Crystal responded.

“Let’s go ahead and take this for you.”

The doctor did his thing, telling Crystal and Stardella to go home and wait for the call. Stardella took Crystal home and waited there until Damen returned home.

“CRYSTAL I’M HOME!” Damen called.

“Down here!” Stardella responded.

Damen entered the room with a wide eyed mare holding the phone in her hoof. Breathing deeply, Crystal looked at Damen, then at Stardella.

“What did he say?” Stardella asked.

Crystal looked at her stomach and placed her hoof on it. Then looking back at Stardella, with tears in her eyes. Stardella knew what it was, Crystal was pregnant. She wrapped her hooves around Crystal.

“Oh my Celestia!” Stardella cheered.

“What?” Damen asked.

“Damen, you’re going to be a father.” Crystal responded.

Damen’s eyes widened as big as hers was when Crystal found out. Damen wrapped his hooves around Crystal and started to cry. Damen and Crystal were going to start a family. Soon there was a knock on the door.

“I’ll get it for you Crystal.” Stardella said.

Damen didn’t let go of Crystal, he was too over joyed, knowing that he was going to have a mini him. But then he started to feel scared; could he be the best father for this little foal? How could he be there for the foal when he was always on the road? What could he do? Will Crystal be okay?

Stardella and Mrs. Snapple came down into the room, Mrs. Snapple looked at Crystal with surprise in her eyes.

“Stardella told me that you have something to tell me?” Mrs. Snapple questioned.

“Mrs. Snapple… I’m pregnant.” Crystal responded.

“Oh Celestia!” Mrs. Snapple groaned.

“Let me guess, you think that you have to be there for this foal?”

“Well, I’m happy for you, but I don’t want to be the one that takes care of it if you die!”

“Mrs. Snapple I won’t die early. Geeze, I’ll only have you, Stardella, or Harmony watch her when I have to go to my publisher’s office and Damen gone.”

“So, one of those things.”

“It’ll only be a few hours, and I’ll train them to be kind. Unlike some pony in your family.”

“Fine, you better.”

“Don’t worry. I promise.”

Mrs. Snapple, Stardella, Damen, and Crystal all hugged each other in happiness. Damen and Crystal were going to be parents; Stardella and Mrs. Snapple were emotional support.
