Cloudy Crescent was just a typical Pegasus who just wanted to do great things. He, along with his sisters Little Swift and Scarlet Aura, are visiting Gray Diamond, their foalhood friend and a Royal Guard of the Crystal Empire.

They meet some new friends, including the alicorn Twilight Sparkle, along the way who are also visiting the Empire as well. But this friendly visit turns into a eerie adventure, when they find out that their friend, along with some other guards and fighters including Shining Armor, have gone missing. Now the siblings, Twilight, and the rest of her friends vow to find Gray and Shining and rescue them before something terrible happens. Even if Tartarus awaits.

Their problems become worse when new and old enemies are constantly thrown at them; including a demon with a blood-lust and power hungry motives, and Scarlet's original twisted family of thieves.
