Pinkie Pie was rambling about some game she'd played with Maud awhile ago, Fluttershy was cowering under a bush, Aj was just standing there. Rarity was sitting on a couch shouting "WORST POSSIBLE THING!!" And Twilight was obviously looking in a book. They had all come here because they, like Rainbow, had seen the approaching Air Force. "Guys! We are obviously at war here." Instinctively, her friends had all lined up to hear what their duty would be. "Pinkie Pie! You seem to defy the laws of Physics! Where are six paint cans? All according to us!" Pinkie Pie already had them out and was sorting them. "Uhh, here's Rainbow Dash's, Aj, you get blue, Twilight, magenta, Rarity, purple, Fluttershy, green, and me, RAINBOWZZZ!!!" "....Wow. Okay. Twilight: you're an Alicorn. Fight them off with Magic. Rarity: annoy them to death by telling them about how ugly their outfits are. Fluttershy: watch them. If they start doing anything way too bad, imagine they're hurting poor little animals and fight back. AJ: You do your rope tricks on them and tie up as many as you can. Pinkie Pie: annoy them by talking too much. But stay out of their reach. As for me... I just fight. Everypony, war paint on." Rainbow dabbed a hoof in her paint can and put on her red, white, and green war paint under her eyes. "Let's do this." //-------------------------------------------------------// Double Rainboom //-------------------------------------------------------// Double Rainboom Rainbow Dash watched in horror as her last non-Pegasus friend was thrown into a cloud cage. She knew this wasn't fair. Twilight was royalty, for pony's sake! Shouldn't she be granted a pass? Rainbow Dash dove into the crowd, looking for the one that had captured Twilight. She had purposely gone waaaaaaaaaaayyy high up, so she could perform a Double Rainboom. She had taken Twilight's enhancing potion, and she didn't care if she was transported to another dimension. She was the Element of Loyalty, and that meant being loyal to her friends. Rainbow Dash spotted the one who captured Twilight, and dove straight for him. She was building speed, the pressure upon her. The tears were coming out of her eyes, and yet she was still going. But amidst all this, she noticed somepony watching her. It was the commander. But Rainbow Dash shrugged it off and went toward her target. Then, she noticed for the first time that he was actually heading towards the commander. She didn't care. The one directing it all deserved to get this, too. When he finally reached the commander, that's when Rainbow Dash completed it. The extra surge of power she got from the boom was put to good use, as she landed on top of both the commander and the Pegasus. But Rainbow Dash couldn't slow down, and she crashed right into the portal that she didn't know where it went. //-------------------------------------------------------// Into a Solid Wall I Go! //-------------------------------------------------------// Into a Solid Wall I Go! Rainbow Dash hated everypony in this place. They had all helped to capture and enslave all the Unicorns and Earth Ponies. She had gotten sent here, and was having fun doing the obstacle course when somepony distracted her and she got a scar under her eye from the knives. They had then taken her here, to the Commander pony, now questioning her very being of existence. Rainbow Dash only answered because she wanted out of there. But, as the Commander drowned on, she listened to something else. Something very familiar. Pinkie Pie. "WHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEEEEEEEEE!" She was shouting at the top of her lungs. And Dash was sitting a few feet away from the door. She figured that she could escape from the Commander and find her friends. All she had to do was fly out. She was timing it perfectly. She would bust head first through the door and follow the sound of Pinkie Pie's voice. From there, they would find the others and get out. But she had to bust through the door, because opening it would take away about three milli-seconds and give the Commander a chance to capture her again. She didn't have time for opening doors. That, and she wanted to ruin as much of this place as possible. Rainbow Dash got ready. "Well, thanks for the lecture and all, but I gotta go!" said Rainbow as she flew through the door. It hurt a lot more than she had expected. She shook off the cartoon birds and followed Pinkie's voice. She turned a corner, and right in front of her was a stone wall. Seeings how she was going way too fast to stop, Rainbow Dash crashed into the wall and was knocked out. //-------------------------------------------------------// T.O.P. Military Base, 1800 P.M //-------------------------------------------------------// T.O.P. Military Base, 1800 P.M On the outskirts of Clousdale, there was an invisible building. Almost invisible. There was a faint outline of clouds around it. But this place, this top secret, out-of-the-ordinary place was not to be seen by a single soul, except those who worked there. And the princesses. But this place was not just a building. It was a top secret Pegasi building. It was a top secret military Pegasi building. And this building was where they were planning a revolution. A revolution of Pegasi against Earth Ponies and Unicorns. The plan wasn't pretty. But it was all they had. And it was going down tomorrow. I bet you're wondering what the Pegasi's plan was. Well, that's classified information. But I'll tell you anyway. On the cloud chalkboard in the meeting room was written three instructions: 1- Enslave Earth Ponies and Unicorns 2- Don't harm any Pegasus ponies 3- Rule the world And everypony was very excited for the next day because it was going to happen. They all went to bed, awaiting the next day. //-------------------------------------------------------// An Unfortunate Place to Land //-------------------------------------------------------// An Unfortunate Place to Land "Ooff!" Rainbow Dash said as she slammed against a random wall. She got up and looked around. It looked like she was at the Cloudesum in Clousdale. (To humans, it would be a football stadium.) There were stands all around, with a big place to train or do other things with the Pegasi. But somehow this place looked a bit different than the one she was used to. Sticking out of the walls were pointy things that didn't look very menacing, but were probably dangerous. On the ground were a lot, and she means alot of red blinking lights that she didn't know what they did. Rainbow Dash flew down to the stadium part and saw an awesome-looking obstacle course. She decided to try it out. On it, you had to fly over a pool of sharks, barrel roll through a tunnel, belly crawl through a field of land mines without setting any off, fly through a nest of angry eels, fly through a bunch of swinging knives, and capture the red flag and make it back. So, she being Rainbow Dash, she of course wanted to try it out. //-------------------------------------------------------// When Somepony Finds the Rainbow //-------------------------------------------------------// When Somepony Finds the Rainbow Cloud Commander called for her troops to retreat, but still bring the remaining ponies. On the way back to the base, she thought about the cyan blue mare that had pulled off a Double Rainboom. She was apparently the toughest pony around, and the fastest flyer in all of Equestria. She had to join the Air Force. They needed a good flyer now and then. They were back at home base. Cloud Commander told her soldiers to put the remaining ponies in the cages. She went to her own room. Inside, she pulled out a book called "The History of Equestria". She flipped it open to the "Best Young Flyer" competition and see who had won it last year. As what the other ponies had told her, they were right. The blue Pegasus had won it last year for completing a Sonic Rainboom and saving the Wonderbolts all in one dive. Yes, she would join the Air Force. Suddenly, a knock came on her door. "Permission to enter, Ma'm?" She put the book away and opened the door. "What is it- oh, my!" One of her soldiers was carrying the blue Pegasus pony, who was struggling with all her might to get out of his grip. "Let me talk to her. Thank you. Dismissed." The Pegasus walked away, glad to have Rainbow Dash out of his life. Cloud Commander picked up the blue pony by the scruff and set her down (none too nicely) in a chair. Rainbow Dash glared at her, but said nothing. She decided to start off easy. "Hello." "Hi," Rainbow Dash said icily. "What's your name?" "Rainbow D. Dash." "Why so hostile, Rainbow D. Dash? We're all friends here." "Friends? You attacked my home and wanted to enslave my friends. You made me have to make Twilight do her potion all over again, which will be completed in exactly seven years, just so I could stop you from enslaving all the Unicorns and Earth Ponies. I don't call that friends. And it's just Rainbow Dash." It was going to be a long night. //-------------------------------------------------------// You Have No Choice //-------------------------------------------------------// You Have No Choice "...But she has no choice! She must, or she'll die! And we need a good flyer like her. Did you see her during the invasion?" "But everypony won't like her! Even her friends won't know her anymore!" "Yes, but it's the Air Force. She'll get over it. And if we do the same to her, she won't remember her friends anymore than they remember her!" "Oh, no, she's awake! What ever shall we do?" Rainbow Dash was just beginning to wake up from her unconsciousness. She heard voices talking about somepony, which she had a guess that it was her. She was struggling against her bonds, but she was unable to escape from the table she was on. She heard the two ponies walk over to her. "Well, well well, looks like we have a newbie on our team. Isn't that right, Camo?" "Yes, mam!" Rainbow had no idea what they were talking about. "Dont we, Rainbow Dash? Or should I say 5735?" "..." was all she said. "What I'm getting at, 5735, is the fact that you are now a part of our Air Force. Or, you could not join and die. Your choice." Rainbow Dash didn't want to join. She could see it now: ELEMENT OF LOYALTY IS UNLOYAL TO HER FRIENDS! No, she wouldn't join. She had villains to banish to the moon or tap them in stone. She also had Wonderbolts to join. But if she didn't join, she would die, which didn't sound very pleasant. So she was at an impasse. "Well, Rainbow Dash?" It was just like the time the Shadowbolts had asked her to join. A really tough decision.
