Brave Wing glanced over at the clock, his shift ended in just five minutes. He worked in the cloud factory, giving a extra hoof when needed, maybe taking someponys place if they were sick. It wasn’t a bad job, he got the bits he needed, wasn’t to repetitive, good working hours, nice co-workers. But for now, he couldn’t really do much, everything was under control, so he couldn’t really do anything to help. He just continued to walk around, having random discussions with himself the last five minutes of the day.

Brave Wing crashed on the couch, tired after a long day of work, after a while he could feel loneliness growing once again, like it always did. He sat up and took a deep breath, maybe he could get away from reality in a book or something, he got out of the couch and walked towards the bookshelf, hoping to find a book that he could read. But as expected no books had magically appeared out of nowhere. A little disappointed he walked back to the couch, trying to come up with something to do. Maybe he could go to a bar or something, maybe a nightclub, or just pick the first best place that sold alcohol of some kind, yeah, that sounded like a plan. He left the house and started walking down the streets of Canterlot. After a few minutes, he found a nightclub that could work, he entered the club and started looking for a empty chair at the bar, it was a bit early so it wasn’t that crowded yet, mostly just a few groups of friends hanging out, having a great time, and once again, he could feel the loneliness creep over him, it had been worse a few months ago, but now he was more used to it so it didn’t really bother him as much as it had before. He sat down at one of the chairs at the bar, ordered a shot of tequila and placed a few bits on the table, a few seconds later, he received a small glass with a beige liquid. He drank the tequila in one sweep, and put down the glass. Not knowing he was being watched.

Sunset Heart looked around, disguised as a red maned bright yellow coated earthpony with a nail and thread as her cutiemark, she tried to find somepony to feed of, if she wouldn’t find a food source soon, she would be dead in just about three days, four if she would drop her disguise. Her last `coltfriend´ had left her for some random unicorn and she was starting to get desperate. She had no plans of stealing love, that just didn’t seem right to her, but freely given love didn’t affect the food source, luckily. She sat down on one of the couches, if you looked for easy love, nightclubs where usually the best place for it. After about an hour, she found somepony that could help her out. A light blue coated pegasus with a yellow mane, without a cutiemark, who had entered just a few minutes ago, sat down at the bar and took a shot of some kind of drink, probably some kind of alcohol.

“Can I offer you a drink?’’

Sunset Heart turned around, looking at a green coated pegasus with a dark blue mane.

“Um...’’ She started, this could be free food, buuuut... “Nah, I’m fine.’’ She replied with a small smile.

“You sure? You seem pretty lonely there.’’ He said.

“Yes I'm sure.’’ She replied, slightly annoyed.

“Alright, your lose.’’ The pegasus said and walked away.

Sunset Heart turned her attention to the light blue stallion once more, maybe she could just dace with him or something, that could probably give her a few more days, if she was lucky. Sure, she could' have accepted the stallions offer, but she felt slightly bad for the lonely pegasus, and accepting the stallions offer would probably never end well. With a sigh she got out of the couch and started walking towards the pegasus, as she got closer, the taste of sorrow and sadness grew slightly stronger, a ability changelings, it was a quite unique feeling, love slightly reminded her of hot chocolate, anger was more of a burning taste, fear had a more bitter taste to it, loneliness was more of a cold and empty taste to it.

“Is this seat empty?’’

“Huh?’’ Brave Wing said and turned around.

“I’ll take that as a yes.’’ A red maned bright yellow coated earthpony mare with said and sat down next to him and ordered a beer.

He didn’t really think to much about it, he just turned back, and ordered another shot of tequila, which he drained immediately, took a deep breath and sighed.

“So, what is your name?’’ The mare asked and took a sip of her beer.

“Huh? Oh, Brave Wing.’’ He replied and gave her a small smile, making it look as real as possible.

“So, Brave Wing, what brings you here?’’ She asked, placed the beer on the table and smiled warmly at him.

“Uh, not sure actually, just came here for a drink and the music I guess.’’ He replied. “How about you?’’

“Well, the food at the bar is usually pretty good, and a drink doesn’t hurt.’’ She replied and took another sip of her beer.

The music wasn’t that loud, yet, but in about thirty minutes when the DJ arrives, you would ask yourself how your ears survived the night when you got home, specially when DJ-Pon3 was on stage, and since she was one of the best DJ’s around, he couldn’t complain.

“Hey, wanna dance? I’m bored.’’ The mare said.

“Huh? Um... Sure, I guess, but I’ll have to warn you, I’m a terrible dancer.’’ He said with a shrug, and a split second later the bright yellow coated mare drew him out on the dance floor. He tried to keep up in the dance, but... he was glad that most of the ponies where more focused on either their dance partner or their group conversations and not his, dancing. Why did she even want to dance with him? Maybe it was just the beer talking or something, if so, she hopefully wouldn’t remember his, dancing...

“ALRIGHT EVERYPONY! ARE YOU READY TO PARTY!?’’

A white coated mare with a electric blue light blue mane screamed in the microphone and turned up the volume to max, and in response almost everypony cheered, some even raised their glasses.

“Wait, we’ve been dancing for over twenty minutes already?’’ He said, obviously surprised.

“If you call what you are doing dancing, yes.’’ The mare chuckled and smiled warmly at him.

“Well, told you I was a bad dancer.’’ He said, and smiled back, blushing slightly.

“Well, anyways, I’m getting tired, wanna grab another drink?’’ The mare asked and started walking towards the bar.

Okay... this is not what I expected to happened tonight, still, won’t complain. He thought to himself and started walking towards the bar, where the bright yellow mare sat, when he thought about it, she never told him her name, he sat down in the chair next to her and ordered a small beer. ’’So, what is your name then? I’ve told you mine but you never told me yours.’’ He asked.

“Oh, heh, sorry, my name is Sunset Heart.’’ Sunset Heart replied with a small smile.

“That is a very nice name.’’ He said as he paid for his beer.

“Aw, thanks.’’ She said with a small smile, blushing slightly.

“No need for thanking me for telling the truth.’’ He said, smiling warmly at her.

“If you say so.’’ She said, and drank the rest of the beer. ’‘Hey, I have work tomorrow so I need to get going, do you mind keeping me company?’’ She asked.

“Um... I guess so...’’ He replied with a shrug.

“Alright then, I’ll just let you finish your drink first.’’ She said with a small smile.

“Alright, this is my house’’ SunsetHear said and stopped in front of a door to a small house. “Thank you, for keeping me company, I didn’t cause any trouble, right?’’ She asked, a bit concerned as the turned around to face him.

“No problems at all, just a long walk back home now, but I’ll be fine.’’ He replied with shrug.

“You could spend the night here if you want to.’’ She said with a shrug.

“Um... I don’t really know what to say, honestly.’’ He said, scratching the back of his head with his right forehoof.

“Would you rather walk all the way home?’’ She asked.

“Um... I guess one night won’t hurt.’’ He replied and started walking towards the house with Sunset Heart, and walked inside as she opened the door.

“Sorry if it’s a bit messy, didn’t really expect company, so... yeah.’’ She said.

“It’s okay, I don’t mind.’’ He said with a shrug.

“So, I guess I’ll take the couch, you are the guest after all.’’ She said.

“Um... okay, I guess I’ll just go to bed then, where is the bedroom?’’ He asked.

“Right over here, follow me.’’ She said and started walking towards the bedroom.

Brave Wing followed her as she walked through the small house, most of the houses around here looked mostly the same, a hall, a kitchen and two or three rooms that you could use for whatever you thought you needed.

“Alright, this is the bedroom, goodnight.’’ She said as she opened the door.

The room wasn’t big, or maybe it looked small because the bed was so big, the only thing that was there besides the bed was a nightstand next to the bed.

“Goodnight.’’ He said, lay down in the bed making himself comfortable and after a few minutes, he fell asleep.

Sunset Heart closed the door and walked into the kitchen, but the loneliness that had been in the air when she first met him seemed to have decreased a little bit. He seemed to be a nice stallion, when they where walking back from the nightclub, he had talked a bit about his life, asked her a few questions about her, what she worked with, for how long she had been living here. She glanced over at the clock. 9 PM. Well, I better get some sleep, I just wish love could replace sleep. She thought to herself, she had been gaining al lot of love just this night. Maybe... She walked back to the bedroom and opened the door, Brave Wing had fallen asleep and was now sleeping heavily. She walked inside and lay down in bed next to him, after a few seconds he wrapped his hooves around her and drew her closer, and buried his muzzle in her mane, still sleeping. She took a deep breath and signed happily as she could feel his love filling up her body. Slowly, she started to drift away into sleep, glad that she had found a new food source, and, a new friend.

Brave Wing woke up, a moment later he realized he had wrapped his hooves around one of the pillows, he put it away and glanced over at the clock. 8:30 AM. Well, at least I got plenty of time to get to work, I guess there is a few perks of going to bed a little bit earlier sometimes. He thought to himself, left the bedroom and walked towards the kitchen, where he found a note on the table.

Feel free to take whatever you want for breakfast, I hope you won’t be late for work or anything, I just didn’t wanna wake you up, that’s all. Anyways, I had a nice time last night, but you really need to take dance lessons, if you want to I could go with you, I don’t really have anything else to do with my free time anyways, maybe we could hang out sometime? By the way, my number is on the other side of the paper.

Brave Wing had to read the note at least four times before he was able to process everything. He still tried to process where he had spent the night, and now this? He thought back at the events of last night, sure, maybe he drank more alcohol than usual, but he had also gained a friend. He closed his eyes and sighed happily, with a warm feeling in his chest.
