“Wingy, wake up.’’ Sunset Heart murmured as she shook the sleeping pegasus next to her, trying to wake him up. “C'mon Wingy, wake up already.’’ She said and shook him a little bit harder.
“Just five more minutes.’’ Brave Wing groaned into his pillow, trying to shove her away with his right forehoof, without any success.
“Can you make me pancakes if I let you sleep a little bit longer?’’ Sunset Heart asked and leaned a little bit closer and nuzzled his cheek.
“Only if I get to sleep for ten more minutes AND you are staying here during that time.’’ Brave Wing replied and turned his head around with a warm smile.
“Deal.’’ Sunset Heart said and returned the smile, leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on his lips, which the light blue pegasus happily returned. “So, any more information about the royal guard lately?’’ She asked as she broke the kiss.
“Yes, I got that letter yesterday actually, I guess I forgot about it, heh.’’ Brave Wing replied and smiled nervously at her. “Forgive me?’’
“Only if you get me some of those chocolate chip pancakes.’’ Sunset Heart replied jokingly and nuzzled his cheek.
“You know that you could've just asked me to make them, right?’’ Brave Wing said and nuzzled her cheek.
“I know, I'm just messing with you a little bit, that's all.’’ She chuckled. “Buuuut, I still want those chocolate chip pancakes, mkay?.’’ Sunset Heart said.
“Don't worry, I'll make you a pile of those chocolate chip pancakes.’’ Brave Wing said and gave her kiss on the cheek, which was rewarded with a cute giggle.
“So, what did that letter say then?’’ Sunset Heart asked.
“Not much, I just have to go make it in the tryouts and I'll get the job.’’ Brave Wing replied with a smile.
“Huh, so you'll quit your job at the cloud factory then?’’ Sunset Heart asked with a frown.
“Not yet, I guess I'll quit when the tryout starts, but since I worked overtime for a while I have a few extra days off.’’ Brave Wing replied with a faint smile.
“So, have anything planned for your day off?’’ Sunset Heart asked.
“Um... I don't know actually, don't you have work today?’’ Brave Wing replied.
“No, Prized Hue let me take the rest of the week of since my... since my house burnt down.’’ Sunset Heart replied and looked away with a sad look on her face. “I'm sorry, I just... lost some personal stuff and all... and...’’ She trailed with a shaky voice and a tear founds its way down her cheek, a moment later she could feel a pair of hooves being wrapped around her and pull her into a comforting embrace. “Please don't leave me.’’ She grumbled as she returned the hug and buried her muzzle into his chest.
“Hey, don't worry, I'd never leave you, I promise.’’ He whispered in soothing tone and slowly drew his left forehoof through her mane and patted her on her back.
“Promise?’’ Sunset Heart asked as she pulled back slightly and looked Brave Wing in the eyes.
“I will never leave you, I promise.’’ Brave Wing whispered and brought her a little bit closer. “Now, how about this. I'll go and make those pancakes, and you can just sit here and relax while I do that, does that sound good to you?’’ He asked gently and nuzzled her cheek.
“Yes, that sounds absolutely wonderful.’’ Sunset Heart replied and offered him a small smile. “But first, you have to stay here for at least five more minutes and cuddle with me.’’ She stated and crushed Brave Wing in a tight embrace.
“C-can't br-breath-e.’’ Brave Wing choked, grasping for air.
“Heh, sorry.’’ Sunset Heart said with a small blush and pulled away slightly, allowing Brave Wing to breathe normally again.
“Its fine, just be a little bit more gentle next time you're gonna crush me in a hug like that, okay?’’ Brave Wing said and gave her a soft kiss on her muzzle. “Now, I believe I have at least four more minutes of cuddling before I have to make those pancakes.’’ He said and gently brought Sunset Heart closer and nuzzled her.
“That you do.’’ Sunset Heart said and leaned into the embrace. “Thank you for being here for me by the way, it really means a lot to me.’’ She whispered softly as she closed her eyes and leaned her head onto his chest with a happy sigh.
“Hey, don't mention it, it's just nice to have you around you know.’’ Brave Wing whispered and kissed her on the forehead, which caused the yellow coated mare giggle quietly.“So, maybe we could have a picnic today or something, just to brighten up the mood a little bit?’’ He asked and drew a hoof through her silky red mane.
“That sounds wonderful.’’ Sunset Heart replied softly and looked up slightly with a small smile. “Or maybe, we could get you some dance lessons, I think you'll need that.’’ She chuckled.
“I'll think about it.’’ Brave Wing chuckled, leaned back and sighed.
“So, where do you wanna have the picnic?’’ Sunset Heart asked.
“Um... there is a nice park near by, I guess we could've our picnic there, does that sound to good?’’ Brave Wing asked.
“Okay, works for me.’’ Sunset Heart replied with a small smile. “Do you want be to prepare some sandwiches for it or will you do that?’’ She asked softly.
“Nah, I got it.’’ He replied and gave her a soft kiss on the lips, which the red maned mare happily returned. “So, do you think we should have the picnic before or after lunch?’’ Brave Wing asked as he broke the kiss.
“After lunch.’’ Sunset Heart stated.
“Alright then, picnic after lunch, but now I believe that I have to make you some chocolate chip pancakes.’’ Brave Wing said planted a soft kiss on her before he got out of bed and started walking towards the kitchen. About twenty minutes later Brave Wing was finally done with the last chocolate chip pancake, he put the frying pan he'd been using in the sink and took the plate with pancakes and balanced it on his right wing and two other plates on his left wing and started walking towards the bedroom. “Okay, I got the pancakes.’’ He called out as he entered the bedroom.
“Remember, this was your idea, so if I get chocolate all over your sheets, it's your fault.’’ Sunset Heart said with a small grin as he put down the three plates on the bed and lie down next to her.
“Are you gonna get chocolate all over the sheets on purpose?’’ Brave Wing asked and raised an eyebrow. Wait, didn't she ask me to make... whatever. He thought to himself and decided it was not worth starting an pointless argument about it.
“Maybeee...’’ Sunset Heart teased.
“I hate you sometimes, you know that?’’ Brave Wing said and nuzzled her.
“I know.’’ Sunset Heart chuckled and nuzzled him back. “Now, lets start eating those pancakes, shall we?’’ She said and took one of the pancakes, placed it on the plate in front of her and took a bite.
“Like it?’’ Brave Wing chuckled as he took a pancake for himself and started eating.
“ Yes, and from now on, I want these pancakes every Saturday and Sunday morning, and days off work.’’ Sunset Heart stated as she finished her first pancake.
“So, now I'm just the little colt who makes you pancakes every day off work?’’ Brave Wing asked and raised an eyebrow.
“Um... you are a very nice pillow too?’’ SusnetHeart said with a goofy smile.
“Naaaw... c'm here.’’ Brave Wing said and wrapped his hooves around Sunset Heart in a embrace, doing this, he accidentally knocked down half of the pile of pancakes on the sheets.
“I can safely say that that was your fault.’’ Sunset Heart stated.
“I think I'll survive.’’ Brave Wing chuckled and planted a soft kiss on Sunset Heart's forehead. “I needed to change sheets soon anyways.’’
“Whatever makes you feel better.’’ Sunset Heart said and rolled her eyes. “So, what do you wanna do until lunch?’’ Sunset Heart asked.
“Um... maybe we could watch some TV?’’ Brave Wing replied with a shrug. “Or did you have anything else in mind?’’
“I thought we could play some board games or something, but I guess we could watch some TV too.’’ Sunset Heart replied.
“So, would you rather play board games than watch TV?’’ Brave Wing asked.
“It would be nice to play some chess, haven't played that in a while, is that alright with you?.’’ She replied.
“Sure, I guess we could play a few games of chess.’’ Brave Wing replied with a shrug. “Should I go and get the chess now?’’ He asked.
“Yeah, do that, I'm just gonna take a quick shower first.’’ Sunset Heart replied and gave Brave Wing a quick kiss on his muzzle before she got out of bed and headed for the bathroom.
When Sunset Heart was out of sight Brave Wing looked at the chocolate covered sheets and sighed. Well, I guess I'll have to fix that later. He thought to himself and went to the living room and started looking for the chess that he'd gotten from his parents a few years ago, he had played quite a bit with his friend before he moved away. “He could've told me where he went at least.’’ Brave Wing grumbled to himself as he continued his search for the chess, after a few more minutes of searching he found it in a cabinet. Well, now when that's out of the way I'll just have to wait for Sunset Heart to finish her shower I guess. He thought to himself as he brought the chess to the kitchen and placed it on the table. Well, now I just need to wait for Sunset Heart to finish her shower. He thought to himself.

“Sorry Wingy, I win again.’’ Sunset Heart said with a smirk.
“Aw come on, how are you so good at this?’’ Brave Wing said, slightly annoyed.
“I played quite a bit chess when I was younger, so you don't have to feel to bad for losing, again.’’ Sunset Heart chuckled. “So, do you wanna play again?’’ She asked.
“I think I've had enough now, might as well quit while I still have some pride left.’’ Brave Wing replied and rolled his eyes. “So, what do you wanna do now?’’ He asked.
“Well, since we don't have to eat lunch within the next two hours maybe we could watch a movie or something?’’ Sunset Heart replied.
“I guess we could do that, do you want me to check the newspaper for any good movies?’’ Brave Wing asked.
“Nah, let's just zap around until we find something interesting.’’ Sunset Heart replied with a shrug.
“Alright then, let me just pack up this chess first.’’ Brave Wing said with a small smile.
“Okay, should I try to find something interesting to watch in the meantime?’’ Sunset Heart asked.
“Yeah, that would be nice, I'll be right with you.’’ Brave Wing replied and smiled warmly towards her, she nodded and left the kitchen. He took all the chessmen and put them back in the wooden box with the chessboard. He balanced the wooden box on his wing and headed for the living room, he placed the wooden box back on its place in the bookshelf and sat down in the couch, next to Sunset Heart. “Found anything interesting yet?’’ He asked.
“Not yet, seems like all the good shows and movies only air when you have work.’’ Sunset Heart replied with a shrug.
“Heh, yeah I guess.’’ Brave Wing chuckled.
“Well, I guess we'll just have to keep looking until we find something interesting.’’ Sunset Heart said and leaned her head against Brave Wing's shoulder.
“Yeah, I guess so.’’ Brave Wing chuckled. “Well ,at least the company is good, I guess that is something.’’ He said as he wrapped his right wing around Sunset Heart and brought her a little bit closer to himself.
“It sure is.’’ Sunset Heart sighed and nuzzled his cheek. “It sure is.’’
