The Best Way to Leave is Without a Goobye
Ponyville's hospital are full of many injured ponies due to the fire that started in Sweet Apple Acres. Now one who's name is Caramel his bed dying. To his left is his wife Applejack and their precious daughter Toffee. Both of their eyes were red and puffy. Their eyes had bags from not sleeping. Yet both are still wide awake looking for any sign of movement. All this started with a single lantern on a dark night.
If you could look back into time to three days prior at Sweet Apple Acres you would have noticed three ponies in the orchid during Luna's night. Two of them being Applejack and Caramel but also Big Machatoish. Who is still unmarried and still works on the farm bucking apples. Which he intends to do for the rest of his life.
"Ah don't think that taking a lantern into the orchid was a good idea. We should have went to town to get a flashlight instead." Applejack said as her worried turn to the lantern looking at it as if it would burst right that second.
"Applejack all the stores all closed. Plus the we need to the rest of the Zapapples before they dissappear" Caramel answered. He flashed a smile at her which seemed to relaxed her a little but she was still tensed. Even if she did marry him, she could find it in herself to trust him with anything. Especially not their daughter, who to everypony's surprise was born the day of the Apple Family Reunion. Once she let him take her fishing but she came home wet and sneezing out pond water. Another she let him teach her how to herd cattle, she came home with a strained leg and sneezing out mud. Even when he was teaching how to bake apple pie, she still ended up sneezing out flour and sugar! Whatever he does anything with her, she always ends up sneezing out some new kind of snot.
Applejack laughed for a moment. Caramel isn't the perfect father but he sure is a good one. He can tell a good tale about heroes,dragons, and her personal favorite cowponies. He mostly used a lot of hoof movements and silly faces. At least when he's telling stories everything turns out fine. Caramel and Toffee bond and Applejack doesn't need to clean up any more snot. Though there was that one time he told her about Slender Mane which ended up in a potty accident. Caramel slept on the couch the rest of that night. Along with Toffee who was afraid that Slender Mane might get her.
"Hoot" and that how it all started.
That little owl scared Caramel that he dropped the lantern and fall into the grass. The flames began to burst to life as they were making their way to the trees. The whole orchid was soon set a blaze. Each precious apple tree burning to ashes.
Ponies from all over ran into the orchid to save their friends. Many getting injured and burned. The Fireponies was able to get to the barn before the fire. Caramel, Applejack and Big Mac weren't so lucky. The only way to get out of the orchid was narrow and dangerous but their only choice. Besides being burned to a cinder.
"Applejack, you and Big Mac go first" Caramel said with voice more demanding than a request.
"But Caramel" then she was stopped by a kiss. She was not looking in the eyes of her lovable clumsy stallion, she was staring at eyes that glowed with determation, that would not take no for answer. She gave a small nod and look one time into his eyes. Then she took off and raced down the trail.
Big Mac was the first to go down the path and and Applejack followed quickly behind. Next was Caramel's turn. He began to gallop at full speed and didn't even care if there was smoke in the air as long as his Applejack was waiting for him at the end.
Boom
A burning apple tree fell down blocking Caramel. Applejack felt herself being pulled away as she watch the apple tree stand in way of her and her true love. For the first time in a while she began to shed down hot tears. Her heart being torn in two. Suddenly nothing seemed matter anymore because her world was falling apart.
"Caramel! Caramel! Caramel! " Applejack desperately shouted but to no avail. Her other half was trapped and there was nothing she could do about it.
"I love you!"was the last response she heard from him.
Now if you were to join us in present day you see Applejack and Toffee ready to say goodbye. Both uses up two boxes of tissues from crying. Nothing could make them stopped.
"Caramel, I love you but I can't tell you goodbye. I rather have all the apple trees burn down again if it ment not saying goodbye." Applejack said wiping away a few more tears before continuing. Toffee doing the same.
"So I'll tell you see you later and may you always be our guardian angle" she was to finish off before choking up. Toffee simply nodded but she already had a lump in her throat.
"Miss Applejack" the looked at her with a serious face ready to tell her the news about her husband.
"Our test readings show........" his face soon melt into a smile.
"He is going to be fine"
Applejack threw her hat up in the air and whooped for joy. Toffee began shrieking with joy knowing that her father would be okay.
"One more thing Miss Applejack" Applejack pause for a moment worried that something might be wrong.
"It is Better to have a Guardian Angel on Earth than in heaven. "
