Between Shades of Gold

The golden unicorn struggled up and looked at the closing portal. She smirked at the wide eyes of her “friends”. They had accepted her and treated her kindly, but it was her act. She didn’t want this thing called friendship. She wanted something much different. She had weaved her way to the portal and was confronted by Fluttershy. The girl had long pink hair and Sunset knew she may try and stop her quest. Fluttershy had stared into her eyes pleadingly… those aqua eyes she knew them. At last she knew why and that made her quest even more important. Sunset walked along her aqua green eyes glowing. Upon seeing the first guard she snorted casting a sleeping spell causing the unicorn to collapse into sleep. She snuck down the hall and was stopped by a Pegasus guard. “Hey!” he growled in a familiar voice. Sunset knew who it was and cast her spell quickly. “Oh Flash you knew this was coming right?” she chuckled darkly trotting on.

Her first stop was Tartarus and what a trip it was, though that is a story for another time. For now she struggled past the drugged Cerberus and up to the cage containing the villain Terek. “Who are you.” He said in a weak but powerful voice. “I am Sunset Shimmer and I will grant you freedom if you teach me one spell…” she said. The monster looked interested. “What spell do you speak of?” he asked. “I want to learn to steal magic.” Sunset replied.
