Perkin, Posie and Pootle were playing in the garden with their skates, and Pootle's wagon. Suddenly, a blue and white swirling thing appeared just next to the vegetable garden.
"What's that?" Perkin asked, pointing to the portal.
"I don't know." Posie replied.
"Maybe it's a portal!" Pootle said. Perkin and Posie shook their heads.
"Oh Pootle, portals don't exist." Posie said. Pootle ignored him and walked up to the portal, sticking a hand through.
"It feels like jelly." He simply said, before stepping into it and disappearing. However, instead of doing the logical thing and getting their parents, Perkin and Posie did the illogical thing, and followed him through the portal.
I didn't know ponies could talk
Pootle stepped out of the portal, followed by Perkin and Posie. Instead of being in the garden, they were standing in front of a town. It was evening, so nobody seemed to be around. Except the pink pony jumping around. Pootle turned to his older siblings.
"I don't think we're in the garden anymore." He stated simply. Perkin and Posie stared at him.
"Of course we aren't in the garden!" Perkin said.
The three's attention was caught by a pink blur zipping up to them, followed by a prolonged gasp.
"Oh my gosh! I don't think I've ever seen anything as furry as you, except maybe on Fluttershy's animals, but that's because they're animals, and I don't think you're animals, and HI! I'm Pinkie Pie!"
"I didn't know Ponies could talk." Pootle said.
