A few years can change a lot of things. A Crusade for Cutie Marks can reach its logical conclusion. A filly can discover a budding interest in colts and abandon a lasting friendship in pursuit of them. A school bully can find herself alone.

The tables have turned for Diamond Tiara. When Silver Spoon left her to play at dating, the bossy filly suddenly found herself without a pony her age willing to provide support. Bereft of an external source of confidence, the blossom of spite wilted, now prey to her victims. After being on the receiving end of her occasional but deeply cutting taunts for years, Scootaloo can't resist the urge to kick Diamond Tiara while she's down.

Despite Sweetie Belle's best efforts to the contrary, some words are exchanged that can never be taken back, and Apple Bloom finds herself in the strange position of having to choose between the feelings of one of her best friends and those of her most hated enemy. Ordinarily, this decision would hardly merit a second thought, but growing up comes with some new emotions, the troubles of time magic, and life lessons learned turn an easy choice into a series of extremely difficult ones.
