30 years after the war

“Dear Princess Celestia,I regret to inform you that I Princess Luna have decided to declare war upon you, having the right to explore and experience new lands should be congratulated and praised, not demonized as an anti-Equestrian act. For this reason I Princess Luna have deemed you an unfair ruler.” Florentine quoted from the news article she had in her room, the Fox was starting to realize just how much the war changed all of Equestria, “Luna wanted us to have the opportunity to leave Equestria and explore the world beyond, meanwhile Celestia wanted us to remain here. She said it was because the world beyond housed monsters and evil that even she was afraid of.” Florentine stated turning towards the Fox “Celestia made a royal decree that anyone helping the Luna rebels would be incarcerated or killed, so you can see why they turned to the islands to provide food, no pony knew that they were inhabited by other creatures.”
“The Foxes?” asked Fox
“yes the Foxes, though from my father’s journal there are more than just Foxes on those islands”
“why didn't you know that I was a fox” the Fox asked
“I had no idea what they looked like, when my dad came back from the islands I would ask him what were the other creatures like, and he would tell me that they didn't look like ponies and that they ate meat so I should be careful if I ever met one.” “from what I understand one part of the deal was to not mention any features that the Foxes had, they didn't want to be hunted down in case the rebels lost, but somepony tipped Celestia off which then shifted the war from a stalemate into a victory for Celestia, all she had to do was cut off the rebel's supply ships. After that the rebels stopped receiving aid and the Foxes were exterminated.”
“Are you saying I’m the only one left of my species” the Fox asked staring out the octagon window.
“It’s a possibility” Florentine answered turning towards her father’s journal sitting on her desk, “I’m sorry” the Fox watched a dove fly by outside, he saw it pass buildings of various colors and sizes as well as ponies trotting along the sidewalk, there seemed to be no end to them, they all seemed to be spawning from the buildings. The Fox sighed and turned his attention to the pony reading the tattered journal,
“well that's something to investigate later” the Fox thought aloud.
“I have to ask why are you here Fox, and what were you doing to my mother last night” the Fox wondered if the mare would fully understand his situation he decided to tell Florentine everything, after clearing his throat he began.

“Six months ago Hanz found me in a small island, well not really found me more like discovered me in ruins inside a magically sealed chamber, I was surprised by being forcefully awakened and seeing unicorns surrounding me I tried to understand the situation but I was knocked unconscious soon after. When I awoke I was caged in a ship that was when I met Hanz he told me something but I didn't understand him, I realize now he was speaking pony but I had never seen a creature like him before, that was when I tried to remember anything about myself I couldn't. I felt alone on the way to Hanz's base then I met Fulttershy and she seemed to understand me or at least my feelings, for three months I began to pick up your language it wasn't to difficult since that was all the Pegasi could do being locked up, talk to one another, try to comfort each other in there horrible situation. For another three months Hanz decided that since I could talk to ponies he could interrogate me, so he did, I told him that I knew nothing that I had no memories of anything before being woken up.
He seemed to believe me, but the torture didn't stop until a few day's ago he threatened to kill Fluttershy unless I find and bring another Pegasus named Rainbow Dash to him. After that I was brought here through magic and boat, as for your mom well I saw here wondering the streets by herself then some stallions showed up they didn't seem nice so I wondered over and polity asked them to leave the mare alone they said some pretty harsh things about me be as one of them tried to hit me with their hooves, after that it's a blur I assume that I beat them up because when I came to everypony except for your mother was knocked out. She invited me to her apartment and started to talk to me about you and how proud she is when suddenly something hit me an odd feeling manifested from your mother, the feeling went away after she feel asleep on your couch so I brought her to her bedroom but I began to feel it again, this time though I could see it, a lavender aura that surrounded her for some reason I felt compelled to remove it somehow my paw found her forehead and you know the rest.”
Florentine sighed “My mom” she began to explain but after quickly looking at her clock “I'm late for work!” she exclaimed the green Pegasus began quickly packing an assortment of notebooks,notepads, and tapes for her tape recorder “I need to ask you to stay here until I get back Fox” the Fox looked at the mare with a puzzled expression. Before he could put in a word the mare had already left her room and was out of the apartment, while the Fox waited he decided to listen to the radio sitting beside Florentine's fathers journal the didn't know that station it was on but a song had just started when he pressed the power button with his paw.
The song had a slow drum beat with a somber guitar the stallion singing with a sad whimsical voice sang Oh how I missed you my dear, the world has become less clear without you near, I won't let you go just yet so please don't confirm my fear, suddenly tone shifts from a somber whimsical one to an excited high energy one. The stallion sounds on edge, meanwhile the drum starts to up the tempo along with the guitar How how, how can this be, I thought you had eye's for me, now I see, that we three, are entered in a catastrophe, I thought love would hold, while, I was gone so, when I saw you with her, my heart was filled with sorrow, but I still hoped for tomorrow, I didn't know love was borrowed, ohhhhhhhh, How how, how can this be, I thought you had eye's for me, now I see, that we three, are entered in a catastrophe, I wondered how you'd wait, till, you'd tell about the date, it didn't come as a surprise, when you told me a lie, with you're trust worthy eyes, I guess this is goodbye, you should just find your lover, it would seem what we had, went from good to plain bad, but I'm not even mad, just a little bit sad, Oh how I missed you my dear, the world has become less clear without you near, I won't let you go just yet so please don't confirm my fear. The song ended with the same tone it started with, as the fox turned the radio off.
