Time. The one thing that keeps us going. Without time we'd be frozen, unable to move for eternity. Time is what starts and ends new things. Time is what is learned and forgotten. Time is history forgotten by the minds of the weak. And where exactly would I be going with this? The Elements of Harmony. The story you know is all a lie created by the creature you know as Tirek.
Discord was never a tyrant. Sombra wasn't always evil. And Chrysalis didn't always hate Celestia. No in fact they all used to be good friends. How? You ask. Simple. They were the first Bearers of the Elements. They stopped Tirek with his own weapon. But how? You may ask. It's all very simple, The Elements of Harmony were meant to suck up all of the users magic. Instead it absorbed so much that it overloaded thus making them the most powerful artifacts on Equis. You may think it is good considering the fact that it uses Harmony magic, the same magic that all ponies use. But you are wrong.
These damnable artifacts absorb the Harmony magic and use it to "purify" itself of any dark magic. In other words, it takes Harmony magic and puts Dark magic in the users body, thus effecting their minds until they are but an empty shell of what they used to be. They become killing machines, incapable of feeling remorse, and masters of deception.
Those six original bearers used the Elements without knowing the risks, and because of that they were driven to insanity. By the time anypony saw the effects, it was too late. They all once had normal lives but were driven apart as they all fell one by one, a domino effect that will change time and the future forever.
And while they missed the signs that didn't mean that all was lost. The insanity could have been fixed in two ways. One, death. Option two was to dispose or use a reversal effect on the element to restore the users Harmony magic. Thus allowing the mind to repair itself. Only Starswirl picked option two. everypony else kept theirs and were driven to the brink of insanity. They attempted to resist it but they ultimately failed. Of the twelve bearers the Elements had, only two ponies successfully resisted it. Starswirl and Fluttershy.
Starswirl resisted it through mind barriers and charms. He died from "unknown" causes. Near the age of two hundred twenty three, the insanity began to show in the five survivors. Celestia saw this and had her friends separated across Equis. Sombra took over the Crystal Empire. Chrysalis made a changeling hive. And Discord refused to leave. Which lead to his thousand year stone banishment. Luna continued co-ruling until the Nightmare Moon incident. The element bonded all too well with Celestia. Her mind was so weak that the insanity spreaded even faster than usual. Add that with the hundreds upon thousands of years she has lived and you got something worse than a psychopath. Now it's the mane 6 vs Celestia and each of them wield an element of insanity. The six do have an advantage though. They are allied with a human and half of Equis.
These are their profiles:
Twilight Sparkle, Rarity. Both run a facility that kills foals who don't pass the magic exam. They make magic from them. That magic is used by every "worthy" unicorn of Equestria and that includes the Princesses. It is said that they killed their own sisters who failed the magic tests. Currently the elements of "Magic." And "Generosity."
Rainbow Dash. Manager of the Rainbow Factory. She kills foals who don't pass their flying tests and make rainbows out of them. They say a rainbow's tale isn't quite as nice. They were right. It is said that she has a voice in her head that tells her who's a worthy pegasus or not before they even take the exam. Currently the element of "Loyalty."
Pinkamena Diane Pie. A schizophrenic serial killer. Makes cupcakes from her victims under SugarCube Corner. The fluffy ball of joy you all know is trapped in her own mind. She is being forced to watch the deaths of innocents. There are times where she attempts to break free from her mind. Either by taking control or attempting suicide. Every attempt fails. It is said that there is a third section of her mind that you all know as "Surprise." Apparently she wields both Pinkie and Pinkamena's personalities. Currently the element of "Laughter."
Fluttershy. The only one not taken by the element. She was stung by an unknown creature, which was later named BlackThorn, and became a monster that was but a myth. She is now a predator to anything the size of a pony and will stop at nothing to protect her “son”. It is said that BlackThorn can control her mind and actions. Currently the Element of "Kindness."
Applejack. Her secret to her big, juicy apples? She dips them in pony blood. Green apples are dipped in changeling blood. That's how she make sweet and sour apples. Only she knows this, none of the family does. It is said that anypony who see’s her doing her work is never seen again. Currently the element of "Honesty."
Eizel B Izotov. A failed super soldier from the former Soviet Union. Later became an agent for the now democratic Russia and was blamed for the deaths of the U.S. President, French Prime Minister, and German Prime Minister. Can survive hundreds of gunshot wounds. And can regenerate certain limbs and organs. It is said that he has a good bond his two most loyal soldiers, Royce and Melody. Currently a Commander in the Elite Task Force of Equis.
Royce. A mare who was drafted into the Equestrian army during the Pony/Changeling war of 2013. She was the lowest ranking of her class, always picked on, and was nearly raped three times. Izotov saw potential in her and now she is one of the most deadly soldiers on the planet. Nopony knows much about her except for Izotov and her friend, Melody.
Melody. Another mare who was drafted into the Pony/Changeling war. She knew Royce since foalhood and almost never left her side, until the battle of Canterlot. Melody lost a leg and one of her eyes when evacuating citizens. After the battle was over she promptly retired ad attempted to live a normal life. Izotov found her, passed out drunk on a curb in Canterlot. After she gained consciousness she was offered a spot in the Task Force as an intelligence officer. She declined, saying that she'd prefer to be on the front lines than be pushing papers.
Celestia has plans for these few, a very bloody plan. One she would regret in the end. All hell's about to break loose on planet Equis and in the end there just might be no winners.
Now you know the legend and the purpose for this. I believe it's about time to finish this intro and get to the real story. But there is one last thing I need to say.
If you were a psychotic killer then how would you react to war? How would you handle the deaths of family and friends? How would you handle the fact that your teacher is a tyrant who wants to rule the world? And how would you kill her? Slow? Quick? In the end your mind doesn't make the decision.
