0600 Hours

The sound of the bugle made Jay's eyes snap open. He rolled out of bed, quickly changing into his fatigues, strapping his M9 to his hip. He stepped out of his room, jogging to join up with his other amassed soldiers. They were gathered by the flagpole, the Stars and Stripes waving high in the morning breeze.

"Alright, men, you've all heard of the lands of "Equestria" and their pastel faggot pony inhabitants, and the upper ranks have finally pushed through Operation Firestorm. You might not all know what it means, but what it means for the lot of you, is that we will stomp out their girly ass 'Civilization', and we will raise the flags of the U.N. We're going to colonize those cock-suckers, and we're going to do it in the following week. We have one hour to move to the gate, so go get ready. Dismissed!"

Jay stared in disbelief at what had just left Sargent Ark's mouth. He knew that the Major was an asshole, but he never thought that the U.N. would accept a proposition of war on the peaceful Equestria. Jay was about to raise his hand, start asking questions, as it was clear the Major knew more than he was letting on, but some other soldier beat him to it.

"Sir, why the hell are we invading them? Last I checked, they weren't considered a threat, or even considering war."

Jay nodded in silent agreement. When humanity had first made contact, we had been shocked to learn that the past 1,000 years had passed in pure peace for Equestria.

"Well..." Sargent Ark cocked his head "I knew I had some god-hating, cock-sucking, peace-loving faggot in my army. Because, you hippy-dippy piece of jack-off shit, it's because they're a continent of farming ground, open space for new buildings, that's why. Humanity, being the superior species, deserve the land more than those ass-fucking faggots. Questions answered?"

The soldier nodded, regretting that he had opened his mouth.

"Good, the lot of you, diiismised!" He pointed to the soldier that had raised his hand "You, you little insignificant maggot, will be cleaning latrines while the real men go out and fight, got it?"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

Sargent Ark grinned, watching as the soldiers began dispersing. Major Kimber, the major for the base stepped off his platform, walking over towards Jay. When the Major had walked up to him, he clamped his vise-like grip on Jay's shoulder. "Do you smell that, son? It's the smell of victory on the horizon. You'll be part of the most important invasions since D-Day."

Jay studied the Major's weathered face, crossed with faded scars. The Sargent may have been an ass, but at least the Major wasn't so vulgar.

"Permission to speak, Major?"

"Granted."

"Well, Sir, I just can't wrap my head around why the U.N. pushed through the idea of invading a completely peaceful world. Isn't that a violation of Equestrian rights?"

"Lieutenant, correct?" Jay nodded "I think everyone in the U.N. is just scared like the rest of the civies, that we're gonna wind up stabbing each other to death over an ear of corn."

"So we're willing to do this?"

"We...don't have to be willing. We can't all be Arks, ready to rip out a peaceful civilian's, in essence, guts with a knife, or line them all up Nazi style, and shoot them all."

Jay smiled, knowing that he wasn't the only heartless bastard in the army.

"Unfortunately, even if we have moral obligations against it, an order is an order."

The smile faded from Kimber's face, and his hand released Jay's shoulder.

"You know what you're supposed to do. Hop to it."

0730 Hours.

Jay sat in his truck, staring forward at the soldier sitting in front of him. He had his M9 in his lap, his bayonet buried in metal slide.

"What're you carving?"

The other soldier looked up at him, smiling as he scraped the shavings off the gun, holding the slide around for Jay to see. "Eat Lead" had been crudely engraved into the slide, followed by the half-finished image of an Equine's head with a bullet train entering it.

"Can't wait to blow some of those cocksucker's brains out."

Jay blinked. "You have no qualm with just gunning down the innocent?"

The other soldier shrugged. "Survival of the fittest, y'know? If it means that my family can eat comfortably, it's all for the best."

"O'Mally, put that damn gun away!" Someone down the line yelled, probably someone of higher rank.

"Sir, yes sir!"

O'Mally slid his M9 into his holster, doing the same with his bayonet.

The truck slowed down, eventually going to a stop. A Sargent got out, directing troops out of the bed. They marched into the building that housed the portal, a circle roughly 30 feet in diameter. Most of the troops shuffled nervously. They had all seen pictures of the green fields and the sunny nature, and while a few had planned on visiting during leave, they now had those thoughts torn from their mind. Ark and Kimber stood in front of the soldiers, Ark calling role. He divided troops into division, and once everyone was divided, Ark spoke up. "Alright, men. You're with me. We are taking their capital, Canterlot. The landing portal is roughly random, so our first step is to gather together, and head to a nearby village. Once we've captured the village, we move on to the next towards the capital. Understood?" The division responded with a "Sir, yes sir!" They went through, jumping through the swirling vortex that would, in theory, spit them out near Canterlot.

Once the division was through the portal, they began marching towards a small village. A small sign on the road in proudly pronounced "Ravenholm, pop. 91". Sargent Ark was the first one into the village, a few of the ponies staring at him from behind closed windows with curiosity. "I want you to get each and every last one of these ponies out of their homes. Understood?" A couple soldiers nodded, going door to door, requesting the ponies presence outside. The village was eventually rounded up, and was gathered in the center.

"Alright," Sargent Ark marched around, a M249 in his hands as stared at the gathered group of ponies "You are now prisoners of the United States of America. Do any of you oppose?" A single stallion stood up in the middle of the crowd.

"Hey, you can't do this! We have rights!"

Sargent Ark pointed his machine gun away from the group. "Step over here."

The stallion slowly trotted to where the Sargent had marked. "So you're requesting not to be taken prisoner, correct?"

The stallion paused, and then nodded.

"Request denied." The Sargent raised the gun to his shoulder, firing a burst of 3 rounds into the stallion. The first two hit center mass, the third tearing through the stallion's throat, spraying blood on the ground behind him. His eyes were pinpricks as he collapsed, blood pouring out of his wounds. The only sound that was audible was the low gurgle of the stallion as he tried to scream from the pain. The remaining Equines had stared in horror, unable to respond as they watched the one in the dirt bleed out. The Sargent scanned the crowd. "Any other requests for freedom?" A group of colts broke off from the back of the group, running for freedom. They were swiftly gunned down by Ark, but they took them all in the body, collapsing and screaming in agony. "Someone shut them up already!" O'Mally stepped over, drawing his M9, putting a bullet in the remaining ponies. The last one, a scrawny colt who had taken a bullet in the knee, held up a shaky hoof at him.

"Please...help me..."

O'Mally pulled the trigger, and the hoof collapsed.

"Good job, O'Mally, you'll be earning a promotion for your eagerness."

The remaining soldiers were silent, watching in horror at the execution of unarmed civilians.

A stallion screamed "Run", standing up and throwing up a ward of magic, which while designed to protect against arcane attacks, were not capable of withstanding a bombardment of bullets. The stallion was ripped apart by the spray laid down by Ark, revealing what he had been trying to protect. A mare, her midsections swollen, was hobbling away as fast as she could. Jay had stood in horror, still holding his M16, just behind Ark. The Sargent spun, grabbing the rifle out of Jay's hands, drawing it and sending a round into the back leg of the mare, causing her to collapse and let out a scream. It was not deep, but shrill and high pitched. She stood, hobbling on 3 legs. Ark popped the other, and the mare continued to drag herself with her front two. Ark shot another one, and the mare finally stopped struggling. The sound that rose was her sobbing screams. Ark sent two soldiers to retrieve her, who deposited the crippled mare at his feet.

"Now, I take it that you're caring a little one, aren't you?"

The mare nodded.

"Now, running should have cost you your life, but," he lifted his boot, pressing it gently against her distended stomach. "this one had no choice on weather or not he was carried away or not. So, it would be unfair to kill him. So, someone is going to take your punishment."

The Sargent scanned the crowd, finding a mare who had a young foal pressed against her, and was hiding her face in the shoulder of the stallion beside her. "You."

The mare looked up, tears running down her honey coat. She nodded, knowing what was going to happen. She stepped forward, and the stallion hid the crying foal's gaze from his mother. Once she stood over the fallen mare, she looked down.

"P-Please, Honeypot, forgive me..."

"You're not to blame, Hay Bale. It's these thi-"

Honeypot was cut off as the Sargent pulled the trigger on the M16 pressed to her skull. A large red stain covered the Sargent's fatigues, as well as Hay Bale, but mostly the ground.

Ark looked at the soldiers gathered in a group by him. "I want two of you to put the remaining ones in the city hall. Keep them on watch and bandage up this one." He pointed at Hay Bale.

Jay was promptly given his M16 back, and Ark began down a small road, leading to a mountain with a large castle in it.

"I want to be there by sundown, men!"

1600 Hours.

The men walked into the palace, rifles raised. Two stallions, lowering their spears, received a chest-full of lead as they took multiple bursts. They slunk down in a bloody pulp on the floor. The men continued, gunning down anypony who dared run from them. The remaining palace staff were sent to the courtyard while the rest of the castle was cleared. Once the men pressed into the throne room, rifles raised, shots rang out as the guards took bullets and dropped. The only two ponies left unscathed were the two alicorns on the throne. Once Ark had gotten to them, he sent the handle of his M9 across their horns, breaking them off. The two were escorted to the courtyard, a squad of soldiers keeping their guns raised.

"Now, as you lot of faggot-sympathizing maggots can see, you are all defeated. The lot of you will be sent to labor camps, except for you two..." He turned back to the two alicorns. "You will be given a different fate. You're going to be sent back to the states, and you'll be the President's newest pets."

Luna shook her head. "We shalst not lay down whilst such bar-" Her speech was cut short as a 9mm round was sent into her skull, splattering brain matter and blood on her sister, the red staining her white coat. The larger alicorn collapsed, weeping at the sight of her now dead sister. Celestia felt the hot steel of a gun barrel pressed to her temple.

"I...I accept your terms..." Ark smiled, drawing his bayonet. He drove it into Celestia's back, severing the muscles of her wings, assuring that she would not escape by flight.

"Alright. Get the president's new pet back home. Jones!"

Jay stood up at the mention of his name.

"You will be responsible for maintaining these ponies here. We have another division to secure Canterlot, and we'll direct everyone to here. Keep a vigilant eye on them, and there will be a promotion in it for you. Understood?"

"Sir, yes sir!" Jay finished with a salute.
