Chapter 2

Rarity looked at scootaloo for a few moments before she asked " What is a cutie mark? "

" you really don't know what a cutie mark is.". Said Scootaloo . Rarity just shook her head. " When a pony learns what there special talent is a special mark appear on their flank. "

Rarity was looking at her with interest for a few moments before speaking

" Did I have one of those marks ?" asked Rarity as she was standing up.

" yeah three diamonds. ". Answered Scootaloo.

" what was yours.?" asked Rarity when. Scootaloo didn't answer her. ". Is there something wrong ."

" Can we not talk about it okay Rarity ". Reply Scootaloo as she began to shiver. ". Rarity does it ever warm up here. "

" Do you want to go back to the boutique to warm up. ". Asked Rarity. Scootaloo just nodded and the two of them headed back to the boutique.

As they headed

"  How long has it been since the sun has risen in the sky ?" asked Scootaloo.

Rarity looked at her for a few moments before responding " I am not sure my  dear ever since nightmare moon was able to banish her sister. "

" I thought you and the elements of harmony. ". Reply Scootaloo as she thought about how phase .

" What are the elements of harmony my dear.". Puzzled Rarity.

" You and your friends friends help protect equistria. ". Answered Scootaloo

" Did I. Really have lots of friends.?" asked Rarity. Scootaloo nodded " Can you tell me about them.

Rarity then listen to Scootaloo talk about her friends even though Scootaloo tried to not to show favorite rarity knew that the pegasus named rainbow dash was scootaloo favorite pony.

When Scootaloo was finished rarity put a blanket on the. Sleeping foal and went up to her bed.

The next morning Scootaloo was waking up.

" You miss Applebloom and sweetie bell my dear.". Asked Rarity

Scootaloo looked up " You remember my friends. ". Replied Scootaloo. Rarity shook her head. ". But Sweetie Bell is your sister. "

" I know but I haven't seen my family since I moved to ponyville. You have told so much about them I feel that I like I almost know them and you can tell me more about them on our journey. ". Said Rarity

" What Journey. ". Asked Scootaloo.

"  We are going to find the elements of harmony maybe we could fix this problem. " stated Rarity

" do you have any idea where to look ?" asked Scootaloo

Rarity shook her head and said " no I was hoping you would have an idea where to look. "

Scootaloo tried to think of where the other elements of harmony where before moving to ponyville she knew that they had told her at sometime but she just couldn't remember what it was that they said so she just shook her head.

" That is no problem my dear. ". Answered Rarity. Scootaloo looked at her. " We will just head to nightmare city. Some pony may know something there. "

A few minutes later the two of them had packed a saddle bag for the trip and after they had some breakfast and where on their way.

They walked by sugar cube corner or was that the cake shop scootaloo thought she wasn't sure what to call it.

" Is this where pinkie pie is supposed to live? " asked Rarity.

"Pinkie pie  is the best party pony in all of equistria. ". Reply Scootaloo.

" A party would be nice.  You really have no idea where to find her. ". Asked Rarity.

Scootaloo thought for a few moments before responding " something about living with rocks. " answered Scootaloo.

They then continued there journey when they were walking by an empty field Scootaloo paused and began to. Let look around it took her a few moments before she recognize that it was the school yard..

" This is where the school is. " Said Scootaloo. As she imagine the school and all of her friends and classmates playing in the yard.

Before the two of them continued on there journey.  A few minutes later they arrive at the train station.

After Rarity paid for their train fare they sat on the bench to wait for the next train  .

Scootaloo was watching the ponies go by she recognized of the ponies well sort of they just strange without their cutie marks"

When a light blue unicorn enter the station dragging a suit case along the floor.

" Scootaloo do you know that unicorns name. ". Asked Rarity.

" Her name is Lyra. ". Answered Scootaloo.

Rarity stood up and. Walked over to Lyra using her magic began to lift Lyra's suit case.

" Let me give you hoof with that suit case Lyra. ". Asked Rarity.

Lyra gave Rarity a quizzical look. ". Thanks for the help madame but you have me mistaken for some other unicorn my name is not Lyra. " Stated the unicorn.

Rarity gave Scootaloo a confused look. Scootaloo just shrugged.

" I have always known her as Lyra. " answered a confused Scootaloo.

Just then a train pulled into the station and the 3 ponies got aboard the train. There were a yellow earth pony with a green mane sitting beside a younger mare that was also young mare that was also yellow but had a orange mane.

"You are my sunshine my only sunshine. " sang the yellow mare.

" Lemon dreams stop that you are being silly. " replied Sunshine.

" But I love my little sister I want to sing bout it." replied Lemon dreams.

Scootaloo was watching the two yellow ponies and it made her sad.

" What is the matter Scootaloo ?" asked Rarity.

" I just have a sad feeling watching those two sitting. Like I know one of them is not supposed to be here. ". Answered Scootaloo.

A few minutes later two large stallions wearing royal Armour come walking in to the train cart.

They went from pony to pony asking them what there business in nightmare city was.

When they reached Rarity and Scootaloo.

" What are your plans for nightmare. ". Asked the Guards

Scootaloo was about to speak when Rarity put her hoof in front of her mouth.

" I. Am heading to nightmare city to pick up some new fabric for my dress shop. " answered Rarity.

" what about you little filly. " asked the guards

" She is coming as my assistance. "answered Rarity.

The two guards both nodded and continue on there way.

The train ride lasted about an hour or so . When they reached nightmare city. Rarity and Scootaloo exited the train.

" Rarity do you have any idea where to look now. " asked Scootaloo.

" Office of records some pony their may have records of where our friends may be. ". Answered Rarity.

As they walked down the street.  Scootaloo notice this place looked almost like canterlot except everything had a darker color.

The two of them enter a large building there was many shelves of books.

" Is there any one here. " Called out Rarity.

" I will be there in a moment. " called out a voice.

"I know that voice. ". Answered Scootaloo. Just then a unicorn come from around a book shelf. As soon as Scootaloo saw the unicorn. " Twilight sparkle? "
