Spike the Party Crashing Karmic Trickster
"Yeah! This is gonna be the best night ever! You know why? ’Cause we’re all gonna spend time at the Gala to—" Spike cheers on wildly. Unfortunately, his friends, with eager smiles on their faces for their best night at the gala, bug out in six different directions, setting him spinning and yelling from their wake; he ends up sitting on the red carpet by himself. "—gether; or not."
Spike sighs a bit. Somehow he knew that this would happen: his pony friends had run off to do their own thing, leaving the Dragon alone...again. What to do now? Perhaps Spike should go over to Donut Joe's and sulk a bit. After all, Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy will get what they want.
But Spike pauses a bit as he prepares to head off: perhaps the Dragon should try to have some fun himself here at the Gala...and maybe hang out with a pony or two; But who?
Spike saw Twilight rushing up the stairs to her mentor Princess Celestia. Perhaps now is not the good time. The purple unicorn wants so much to be with her teacher tonight so she's out; Applejack; Nope. The mare would be too busy selling her apple sweets; Rainbow Dash; Nah. She is a Wonderbolt freak and wants to hang with those guys. Pinkie Pie; As much as Spike would love to hang with her, she is too busy trying to PARTY throughout the night.
That leaves two ponies: Rarity and Fluttershy. Spike ponders if he should go with the latter. The yellow Pegasus would love to have him around; And for Rarity...
Spike frowns deeply, knowing that Rarity wants to go for Blueblood, the nephew of Celestia and Luna themselves. Of course, the white unicorn had no idea of the prince's true nature: despite being a handsome prince that any mare would love to go for, he is a rude, selfish, snobbish unicorn. Rarity would be crush if she finds this out the hard way.
Well, time for Spike to be Rarity's own guardian Dragon, even if the white unicorn doesn't want him to tonight, probably.
Spike quickly follows Rarity who is at the far end of the room. As he watches, the unicorn jumps with a little gasp as he saw him: Prince Blueblood. Oh, that creep gave her a sidelong glance then leaves through the open door. If Rarity knew that Blueblood was only leading her on. As the love of his eyes heads out charging after him, Spike quickly sneak out onto the ground. There he is: Blueblood holding a red rose while a breeze blows through his blond mane.
Rarity sighs seductively, "Even better than I imagined."
Spike rolls his eyes as he sneaks behind Rarity and climbs up a tree. The Dragon watches as his true love sniffs a flower. Oh, she looks so beautiful when Rarity does that. Of course, Blueblood smirks as he came over speaking in a very suave voice, "Well, hello." Rarity was startled at this as she looks up and saw him giving a charming smile to him. "I am Prince Blueblood."
"'I am Prince Blueblood'." Spike remarks, mocking Blueblood's voice. He scoffs. "Does he get a license with that voice of his?"
"I am Rarity. Oh, my, what a lovely rose." Rarity said, glancing at the rose demurely.
"You mean..." Blueblood said as he uses his teeth to pluck the rose. Rarity looks lovestruck as it is held out to her. "...this rose?"
Spike rolls his eyes again as he waits for the inevitable. Sure enough, Blueblood swiftly yanks the rose back, much to Rarity's surprise. To her disappointment, the unicorn begins biting the stem short enough so he could tuck the flower into his suit. Yep, the jerkish nature has begun.
"Thank you. It goes with my eyes." Blueblood said with an arrogant smile, making Rarity giving a disappointed moan.
Spike growls as he grabs an apple from a tree, snapping, "Here's something that goes with your eyes: a black one!"
Spike quickly throws the apple right at Blueblood's head. The unicorn yelps as he got hit, causing him to hit the ground. Rarity looks confused, looking around as she wonders what just happened. Spike manages to hide just in time.
Well, it's a good thing Spike has decided to follow Rarity. It's time for her to see what a big jerk Blueblood really is...and pull pranks on him every time he acted like his jerkish self!
Spike follows the two as guests put down cushions to rest their haunches; As Blueblood put one down, Rarity smiles, thinking for a moment that her 'true love' was putting a cushion out just for her. However, as she prepares to sit down, the mare finds herself being pushed away as Blueblood is going to put his rump down first.
"This isn't at all what I imagined." Rarity said in sadness.
As Blueblood sat down, a farting sound is heard, much to his shock and the disgust of everypony else. They angrily left, making the prince protest, "It wasn't me, I swear!" Blueblood quickly pulls out a Whoopee cushion, much to his shock. "Who did this?!"
Rarity couldn't help but giggle a bit. Well, it kinda serves Blueblood right for his lack of chivalry. Spike meanwhile laughs devilishly from the bushes. Oh, that was a good one and he was fast enough to put the whoopie cushion there and run to hide in time.
Despite this, Rarity was determined to make this night the best one ever...and Spike is determined to save his life from a night of major disappointment. The two ponies heads off, passing Rainbow who was disappointed that she couldn't get her idols' attention. The mare mumble to herself, "Just give him a chance, Rarity. His princely side is sure to come out if you’re just patient."
Suddenly Blueblood throws out a hoof to stop her, saying, "Miss Rarity, stop!" The white unicorn saw a spilled drink in front of herself and the prince. Blueblood must've stopped her from slipping in time!
"Hm; Oh, Prince Blueblood; How chivalrous."
"One would hate to slip."
"Yes, one certainly would." Rarity said, giving out a soft laugh.
"One’s cloak should take care of the problem." Blueblood said as if offering to put something onto the puddle to cover it up.
"Oh, of course it will."
The two locks eyes for a moment, but none of them are making a move to cover up the puddle. Of course, to Rarity's annoyance, her cape is being used to dropped over the spot...and Blueblood steps onto the thing as if not caring at all. The white unicorn looks ticked off as she snaps the item up in her teeth, putting it back on her back. Her cape is now ruined.
But as Blueblood moves on, he fails to see a familiar claw dropping a banana peel onto the floor...that is until the unicorn slips on it. The stallion screams like a girl as he goes slipping out of the room, falling down a flight of stairs. Rarity cringes but couldn't help but laughs at this; Serves Blueblood right for his jerkish move.
Spike, in hiding, chuckles as he rubs his claws together. That was awesome.
Blueblood manages to get back up the stairs, a bit worn out but okay. During this time, Pinkie was singing a song in hopes to turn this boring Gala into a party, the two heads out to the door. The mare waits as if the prince is going to open the door for her but he inclines his heads towards it, wanting Rarity to open it.
The two kept on doing it until Blueblood turns his head stubbornly away, causing her to gnash her teeth at this latest display of bad manners. The white unicorn gave up and opens the doors, allowing Blueblood to go in first...but as he came out on the other side, the prince yelps as a bucket of water fell right onto his head, covering himself with water.
"Hey, what's going on; I can't see!" Blueblood screams as he moves around blindly, trying to get the bucket off. The snobbish unicorn fails to see a familiar Dragon pushing a pot with a rose bush in it on his behind. Blueblood yelps as his flank hits the thorns, causing him to scream and jump forward, crashing onto a cart...with a tray...full of hot tea.
Blueblood screams as the hot tea was spilled onto him, causing him to move around like mad and run...right into a mirror. The unicorn finally got the bucket off, groaning in pain.
Rarity laughs like mad at this, much to Spike's pleased look. She will thank him later for making this night ever better.
Applejack was standing at her cart outside, bored. No pony is buying her treats with the exception of Soarin' of the Wonderbolts. Then she smiles as she saw Rarity and Blueblood coming right up, the white unicorn said, "Two apple fritters, please."
"Two Apple fritters comin' right up!" Applejack exclaims as she ducks down, putting out a tray with an order ready to go. The cowpony notes Blueblood looking upset and worn out. "'Dat'll be four bits. Say, what's wit' yew?"
"Bad luck; I have been having it lately." Blueblood said, groaning a bit. Rarity glances towards him, clearing her throat a bit. "What? I got enough bad luck as it is!"
Rarity groans, giving out a disgusted little grunt, "I'm going to have to pay, aren't I?" This made her more upset as she prepares to get some money out while he smirks. Not only is Blueblood a cad, but a cheapskate as well!
"It’s okay, Rarity; Ah gotcha covered." Applejack chuckles as she lifts the tray with her teeth.
"Thank you, Applejack. At least somepony here has good manners."
Blueblood took a first bite of a treat...then yelps as his mouth slams into something as if biting into something metal. The prince screams as a metal thing fell out of what he bit into, "OUCH! OUCH!"
"Oops, don't know how 'dat happened, sugar cube." Applejack said while she and Rarity does their best to keep themselves from laughing fully. The mare gave Blueblood another treat. "Here y'all go."
Blueblood took a bite out of the next treat...then he yelps and sneezes loudly, repeatedly. The two mares blinks at him and saw something that made them laugh: somepony put sneezing powder in the next treat.
"Ugh! ACHOOO! What is....ACHOOO...happening to me?! ACHOOO," Blueblood exclaims, sneezing like mad. He steps forward...and hits a rake that hits him in the face hard, causing him to groan, "Uggggh."
"Rake in 'de face. A classic," Applejack exclaims while Rarity laughs loudly.
"Not funny! And I shouldn't be eating common carnival fare! I'm going to be the buffet for some hors d'oeuvres."
Blueblood heads off while a frowning Rarity follows him....and of course, the unicorn prince fails to see a hole in the ground that he stumbles into, screaming as he hit the ground, causing the mare to laugh madly at him.
Spike chuckles while in hiding. Planting the stuff in AJ's food, setting up the rake, digging up the hole, oh, this sneaking around thing is fun! Now for one more thing to really make this night even better...
Soon the big moment happens when Pinkie was dancing around, trying to get this party more exciting. Applejack on the other hoof came in with a eighth-layer cake that she is wheeling in via her folded up cart, speaking, "Okay, all yew high-class ponies. Here’s a highfalutin apple cake fer all yer hoity-toity taste buds!"
Pinkie, now back on stage, call out, "STAGE DIVE!!"
Pinkie jumps up into the sky and misses all the guests who move out of the way. She did hit the edge of AJ's cart, causing the cake to go flying up into the air. Now during this time, Rarity, upset again, was holding the door so Blueblood can enter...and both scream in alarm as the huge dessert is heading right for them. The prince was about to grab Rarity but someone else pull her out of the way in time. Blueblood frantically screams as he got hit by the huge cake.
"AHHHHH; MY CLOTHES," Blueblood screams. He then yelps as he himself got cake in his eyes. "I'M BLIND AGAIN!"
Rarity is surprised as she saw who saved her in time, making her ask, "Spike? What are you doing...?"
Spike gave out a chuckle, "Will you believe that I saved you and your dress from being ruined?"
As Blueblood tries his best to see, he knocks right against a pedestal, the one holding a winged unicorn statue. It begins to topple like mad, preparing to fall.
"This is my chance!" Rainbow exclaims excitedly. She quickly rockets past the Wonderbolts, just in time to catch the statue, holding it off the ground. "Yes, all right! Whoa!"
Unfortunately, due to the weight of the statue, Rainbow begins to lose her balance, the weight made her totter around like crazy. Soon the statue hits against a column at one end of a semicircle behind the pedestal. Spike and Rarity cringes as it goes over, hitting the next column and the next as if in a crazy game of dominoes. One dustful event later and there's rubble near the shocked spectators, along with the statue that broke on Rainbow's back. Hoo boy and it gets worst as Twilight, finally done greeting the guests with Celestia, came into the room with the Alicorn, the two looks surprised and shocked at the chaos happening, involving their four friends.
"Well, it can't get any worse." Twilight said meekly.
Unfortunately, it did. A tremor shakes the whole room, scaring the guests out of their mind. Another set of doors bursts open as a bunch of animals rush in, running from a panting insane Fluttershy who growls, "You're...going to LOVE ME!!!" The whole room goes into more chaos as the critters run from Fluttershy, causing the guests to run away in a panic.
"Um, um...uh..."
"Run." Celestia said to Twilight in concern.
Twilight didn't waste any time. She whistles to her friends as the gang, along with Spike, rush out of the door. As they run down stairs, Rarity drops one of her glass slippers, causing Pinkie to stop, saying, "Ooh! Rarity, your glass slipper! Now your prince is sure to find you!"
Rarity yelps in fear, but Spike then run up the stairs and smashes the slipper with one foot, snapping, "Not a chance! Come on!"
The gang manages to make their escape to Donut Joe's to recover and calm down from the madness. Fortunately, Celestia came by and wasn't upset for the madness. Rather, it was the best night ever as the GGG was always awful big time. She was thrilled that Twilight and her friends were all attending to livened things up a bit. And while the evening didn't go as planned, it didn't turn out so bad for the Mane Six...especially Spike.
"Spike, may I have a word with you, Darling?" Rarity asks Spike sweetly. The baby Dragon nods as the two heads away from the group. "Now then, Spikey-Wikey, I know you are responsible for what happened to Blueblood."
"Rarity, let me explain." Spike said, worried that Rarity would be angry that his pranks was the reason her night ended up badly. "Blueblood was a jerk and..."
"And I'm glad that you did. While I would've realized how much a snobbish jerk Blueblood was alone, your pranks were enough to give me a bit of a laugh…scratch that, a big lots of laughs. I am so grateful."
"Hey, what can I say? Can't let Blueblood get away with what he did to you, can I?"
"And I'm glad you didn't." Rarity said slyly, giving a kiss on Spike's cheek, making him blush red. The mare grins as she notes this. "Awww, Spike. You're turning into a red Dragon."
"Hee hee, I like purple any day." Spike said with a smile as he rubs the cheek where Rarity kisses him. "Say, uh, listen, I can make up your bad night with a better one tomorrow?"
"Spike...I will be thrilled. It's a date."
Spike blinks then smiles widely as Rarity hugs him. This ends up being the Best Night Ever for them both...and to think, the baby Dragon almost sulk off to Donut Joe's earlier!

Ha ha ha! Oh yeah, that was funny and hiliarious. I hope you Spike x Rarity like this one. I sure as heck did. Anyway, time to go back to the timeline. Here's the next fic...
