//-------------------------------------------------------// The Seventh Element -by ShadowShy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The Seventh Element Another monotonous day had ended in Manhattan, Streets were busier than usual, Traffic clogged the heart of The Big Apple like cholesteral clogged up arteries. The usual gloomy mood of the commuters was somewhat lifted by the glorious sunset that was illuminating the city with the suns last light for the day. Alex had just left the doors to his office firm and began walking to his apartment complex with his usual grimace from the busy streets. He was only 25 and he was already getting stress wrinkles etched into his face. He had been walking for twenty five minutes when he reached the front doors to his Apartment complex. He pressed the buzzer and waited for the woman at the reception to unlock the door. A quick beep noise sounded that let Alex know that the doors were unlocked. He grunted his thanks to the Receptionist and headed to his Apartment. He headed inside and dropped his bag unceremoniously onto the floor. He spent the next five minutes flicking through the TV listings for any interesting programmes, but his search proved fruitless. He walked to his sock draw and pulled out one of his old christmas socks that his mother had sent him a few years back, after stuffing his hand inside he realised that he had smoked the last of his weed the previous night. After grabbing his coat he set off to his local dealer. Fifteen minutes later, he stood in the usual spot and whistled a sharp and quick C# note, seconds later, a nearby dumpster opened and a rugged man with a shifty look about him beckoned Alex to approach him. "Do you have the money?" Said the man with a voice just as rugged as his appearance. "I think so, do you have the goods?" Asked Alex with a voice of an Angel in comparison to the other mans voice. "Yeah" Replied the man, patting his back pocket on his dirty jeans. "The usual price?" Alex asked as he pulled out his wallet. "Yeah" The man said quickly with a quick glance over his shoulder. "I'm 5 dollars short". Alex said slowly. "Are you trying to swindle me?" The man said with his eyes bulging out of his skull. "No, I'm not, I just want my gear" Said Alex with traces of raw fear in his voice. At that moment Alex's cell phone began to ring. The man had revealed a Glock hidden inside his coat pocket and had already took aim before Alex had even realised that his phone was ringing. "WHO IS IT?" The man screamed. "My Boss" Alex said with difficulty, his throat had dried up with fear at the sight of the gun. "YOU'RE A SPY AREN'T YOU? YOU'RE AN UNDERCOVER COP WHO WANTS TO TAKE ME DOWN. I'M NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!" The man screamed, his voice beginning to sound hoarse. Before Alex could even open his mouth to reply, the trigger had been pulled and his vision had gone white... Seconds later, Alex sat bolt right up in the middle of a field. He took a moment to asess his surroundings. The sky was a deep blue with not a trace of a cloud tarnishing it. The sun was directly above Alex letting him know that it was Midday. The grass he was sitting on was the lushest colour of green he had ever set his eyes upon. He sat there drinking in the beauty of raw nature. It then struck him. "Where am I?" He said out loud. He spent several minutes pondering how he could go from a dull, gray city to a beautiful, vivid field in the middle of nowhere. Can I teleport? That had to be the answer. He stood up on his feet, closed his eyes and breathed deeply. He opened his eyes and fully expected to be somewhere else but was dissapointed to see that he hadn't moved an inch. Maybe I can only teleport when my life is in danger. A puff of green smoke had appeared inches from his face, he jumped back in suprise and noticed a scroll at his feet. Dear Alex, My name is Princess Celestia and I am the ruler of Equestria, along with my younger sister Luna. It has come to my attention that you have crossed dimensions and entered my Realm. Inside this letter is a special necklace that has the ability to change any animal or insect into a Pony. I need you to wear that necklace at all times. According to my map, you are south-west of Ponyville, For now you must travel to Ponyville and seek out a purple unicorn named Twilight Sparkle, she will lead you too me and we can talk further at my castle. All of the best, Princess Celestia Reading the Scroll was like being slapped in the face, not only had he teleported a few miles, he had teleported across a Dimension. After a few moments to fully absorb the information, Alex picked up the necklace and began examining it in his hand. It was made up of a golden chain and its more attractive feature was a diamond in the shape of a rearing pony. He slowly lifted the necklace up and put it on, the effect was instant. He was no longer a human, he was now a Pony.  He began walking around and getting used to his new body. After about an hour of practice he could walk quite well. He began walking towards Ponyville when he found a small pond, he looked at his reflection in the water and had noticed that his coat was a pale red, and his mane was a bright yellow, it seemed to look like it was constantly shimmering and flowing, but he just assumed that it was the magic of the necklace. Alex was confused as to why his mane was blonde when his hair was brown when he was a human. he had been walking for what seemed like hours when he could see a few houses in the distance, relieved that he was going in the right direction he passed a sign that read: Welcome to Ponyville.
