A newly awoken unicorn cantered around lazily in a expensive-looking apartment in Fillydelphia. She levitated a cup of coffee that had just been brewed. A large side of the wall in the living room was occupied by pictures of her, a silver-coated unicorn stallion and a little filly. Rarity looked up on the pictures and smiled. She didn't hear a stallion walking up behind her, and only shown a sing of acknowledge when he tapped her on the shoulder.

"Rarity dear, why don't we take a little alone time on the sofa? Silver Mist is still sleeping." a smile crept upon Rarity's lips at the mentioning of their beautiful unicorn filly. She stood up and took her husbands offered hoof as they walked the three meters up to the sofa and laid down, holding eachother tightly. After half and hour of absolutely nothing, a loud knock on the door made the two ponies jump. Rarity's husband, Emerald Dust, actually got so startled that his horn broke trough the ceiling and he got stuck. Rarity didn't see him and thus walked to the door and saw the guard.

"Good morning, mister. I assume you have a good reason to knock loud enough to awake the whole building?"

"My apologies miss Rarity, but Princess Twilight wanted me to give this letter to you immediately." The guard handed over the letter, and Rarity grabbed it with her magic. The guard saluted and took off as Rarity closed the door. Almost immediately after that she heard that her daughter had been awoken, since a shrill voice called for her.

"Momma! Daddy's stuck in the ceiling again!"

"Coming, dearie!"she said and smiled as she walked back into the living room. And just as confirmed, the mint coated stallion was hanging from his horn in the ceiling. How was a question she'd like to get an answer for, but she just levitated him down to the floor as usual."Emerald, I must ask you to stop crashing into the ceiling all the time. It's the third time this week!" Rarity said when her husband was safely down on the floor again.

"Sorry, love. I'll fix that." Emerald gave Rarity a hug and fixed the small hole in the roof with his magic. Then Rarity remembered the letter and quickly unsealed it.

"Dear Rarity... Mmhm, oh dear...oh! Why, of course I'll be there! I wouldn't miss it for the world!" Rarity dropped the paper and ran to her room. Shortly after, a little filly stepped in.

"Momma, are you gonna leave? Just like that?"

"Darling, usually I tell you a long time before I go anywhere, but I received this invitation today, and I'll have to leave now to get there in time,"Rarity responded as she packed countless different clothes. "I hope I packed enough scarves... We'll probably not need that many earmuffs... I should probably take our gala dresses with me if we decide to have a fashion show..."

"Well, who is so terribly important that he or she can't possibly be ignored?!"

"...hm? Oh, it's just some friends of mine, Twilight, Rainbow, Applejack for example." Rarity told their names with old memories, nothing special, but her daughters eyes lit up at the mentioning of the three ponies.

"As in princess Twilight? And the Wonderbolt Rainbow Dash? And the famous Apple family Applejack? Really?"

"Yes, that would be correct," Rarity said. She was still facing away from Silver Mist, but the filly was now jumping in circles as Rarity had finished packing.

"Tell me more! Tell me more!" The young filly shrieked gleefully as she jumped beside her mother out in the hallway.

"I promise sweetheart, I will when I come back, but you have to wait."

"Okay momma!" Rarity smiled at her daughter and then called for her husband.

"Emerald, love! I'll be leaving for some days, be sure silver gets to school!" A confused stallion walked up in the hallway and got a jumping filly on his back. Rarity kissed him goodbye and then hastily made her way out of the apartment.

Out in the busy streets of Fillydelphia walked a beautiful unicorn. She seemed to be in a haste. With countless bags floating after her she frantically searched for a taxi. The mare trotted hastily in the streets and approached different lines of ponies waiting for taxis, pleading them to let her take one. She looked at a large clock. Now Rarity started to panic. First she took a deep breath and looked for an empty taxi. She found none. She started to panic again, frantically screaming.

"TAXI!!!" she waited a while to see if a taxi arrived, but there was none to see. Running again. Repeating the cycle.Oh, why didn't I sing a song about being generous and spontaneously fix a wheel on a taxi cab and the when I needed it the most the one I fixed the wheel for would come to my aid! she thought. After a while, Rarity became tired, and was about to give up.

"I'm never gonna make it in time now!" She whined, but stopped by the sound of an all too familiar voice.

"Umm, could you stop here for a minute, please?"Rarity turned around.

"Of course."now she recognized the pony in the cab.

"Fluttershy!?"Rarity said happily. The mare in the cab smiled and reached out her hoof.

"Need a lift?" She asked.
