In ponyville a certain wall-eyed Pegasus mare was heading to the train station on a special mission her name was ditzy doo. She was hoping he would be on time she only had a short break before she had to get back to deliveries stopping only for some apple juice for her youngest daughter dinky she then headed to the station. He pulled in driving an old F7 diesel on an equally old yet more elegant passenger train he climbed down from the engine a little unusual for a unicorn specially the king of the railway his name was rail rider. He looked similar to doctor whooves same shape but his mane was blood red and his tail surprisingly long for a stallion as long as ditzy's as a matter of fact his fur was also the same color as ditzy's. Such an unusual stallion made the mare shake her head to make sure her double vision wasn't playing tricks on her last time that happened she had almost destroyed town hall. Rail looked at ditzy "I heard ya wanted to talk to me" he said with a slight southern draw ditzy was glad he asked "well you see rail my daughters dinky and sparkler have something of an interest in trains and I thought I mean we been friends for a while and" she was interrupted by rail "so your asking me to take them for a ride in my engine" ditzy nodded "hmm" the old railroader thought to himself "well Pinkamena is running low on Pegasus wings and im sure she'd want more cutie marks for her collection but I cant murder ditzy I just cant but Pinkamena drew their number and that poor filly and that beautiful young mare oh why did I listen to Pinkamena" rail sighed and said "well I guess I could take the girls meet my train at the station tomorrow morning you can come to if you want". Ditzy was excited "I'll be there rail I need a break from the mail stuff anyway". Rail smiled then hugged ditzy before climbing back into his engine and heading outta town. His train was now empty his final destination was the grimdark world where Pinkamena and butchershy along with his children waited for his return. Rail wondered about how he was going to be able to kill his only friend and her children one of them a small filly. He was crying when he pulled into grimdark ponyville wondering how he would be able to commit such a murder. The next day the doo family headed for the station not knowing what that were in for. Dinky and sparkler were so excited ditzy couldn't keep them still it was all she could do to keep them off the tracks. As the train rounded the bend ditzy was surprised that it was not the passenger train expected but a pair of old dirty GP7s on a rust covered freight train. Rail looked at the girls and smiled as they climbed aboard (although dinky needed some help from her mother) ditzy then boarded the engine as rail spoke to the girls about trains. Rail released the brakes the hissing sound made sparkler a little uneasy but she quickly got over it rail then throttled up and with a jerk the train began to move. Dinky and sparkler were having the time of their lives neither noticed their mother knocked unconscious by rail being drug into the engine room. Dinky turned as the door closed she felt uneasy but figured rail was just showing her mother the engine room //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter two: the attack //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter two: the attack When ditzy regained consciousness she realized her children were no where around she also noticed she was in the helper engines at the back of the train her wings were dumb but still there. She then realized something was wrong and ran to the door only to find it sealed by a magical force she started to cry. Up in the cab of the lead engine rail had already captured dinky and sparkler and had them strapped to the back of the engine room. Dinky was the first to come wake up she looked around sparkler was still out cold dinky also noticed a bloodstained machete and screamed waking sparkler who struggled to escape before realizing it was pointless. The door opened revealing a maniacal looking rail rider " I see your awake " sparkler trembled in fear " why are you doing this" dinky said still trying to get free. Rail said nothing and instead tossed an old newspaper to the floor in front of the sisters. The paper flipped open to an article about a killer known as the railroad butcher dinky gasped in horror as she realized what was happening "your..........your" was all dinky could say sparkler finished for her sister "the railroad butcher". Rail reached for a bloodstained machete "let us begin" he said as he turned to the sisters at this sparkler screamed and dinky slipped out of her straps and ran toward the second engine. Rail laughed "guess your first then miss sparkler" he said raising his machete. Sparkler struggled to get her horn to work as rail was about to kill her. At last it sparked and just as he swung the machete the straps went transparent and she dropped to the ground the blade missing her by inches lodging itself into the wall. Sparkler hurried to the door only to find it sealed by rail's magic she turned to find rail pulling his machete outta the wall. Realizing she would have to fight she looked everywhere for a weapon she spotted a rusty old wrench on a hook. She ducked under a swing of rail's blade and ran for it grabbing it with her magic then turning as a explosion of sparks flashed in her face as her wrench met rail's machete. Meanwhile ditzy was struggling to get to the front of the train her wings still to numb to fly with all she could do was jumped from car to car. Ditzy jumped to the caboose hoping she could rest in there
