The Tragic Day
I was sitting in my house when I heard somepony screaming in pain right outside the library. I ran outside to see what the problem was, but when I got out there nopony was in sight. I was so confused. Then I noticed the smoke and fire. It was everywhere. I turned around in time to see a hooded figure about to set my own house ablaze! I teleported in front of the figure and ripped the hood off with my magic to find that it was something nopony has ever seen before. He almost looked like Discord but he had the head of an orangutan, the body of a pony, the wings of a dragon, and the tail of a tiger. Before I could do something I started to feel weak, like all my magic was being drained from my body. After awhile I fell unconscious and woke up covered in ashes. I slowly got to my hooves, looking around slowly I see that only a few buildings were left standing.
I slowly walked to see if anypony had survived, but as I wandered farther into town, I noticed more dead, charred corpses of pony's that I had once known. I found that Sugarcube Corner was still standing. I thought maybe Pinkie survived! I slowly opened the door and sure enough, I found the corpse's of Mr. and Mrs. Cake. I tried to use my magic to hide the corpses but it was useless. I look down at my flank and noticed that my cutie mark was gone. That solved the problem of my magic not working. Hopefully Pinkie is still alive. I started to climb the stairs to find her. When I reached the top I started to hear somepony softly sobbing. I checked every door on the top floor, but all I found where pumpkin and pound cakes cribs empty.Then I heard two more ponies start crying. I stopped to hear where it was coming from, I opened the closets door and found the too young fillies. I picked them up and put them on my back. On my walk back, I heard somepony yelling for Mr. And Mrs. Cake to "Wake up." and "Its not fair." I slowly walked down stairs to find Pinkie's tear stained fur. I must of been walking silently because when I put my hoof around Pinkie's neck, she jumped two feet into the air. When she landed she started giggling so hard that she snorted.
It was pretty funny, even Pumpkin and Pound started laughing. Pinkie and I talked for a little bit. We grabbed some food, a first aid, and couple diapers then headed for Rarity house. Once we got to where her house use to be my first thoughts were: where is Spike? Oh I hope hes okay. If anything happened to him I don't know what I would do. "Spike? Spike where are you? Spike?" I yelled. Pinkie yelled for Rarity but she got no answer. We started to head to Fluttershy's place as they got to her house they saw that the house was engulfed in flames. "Eww, it smells like somepony forgot to shower in four weeks." said Pinkie. That's when I heard the screaming, but when I asked Pinkie if she heard it she just a shook her head. I couldn't take it anymore, the screaming was getting annoying. I reared back and kicked the door off its hinges. As I scanned the room Pinkie kept on saying "Twilight, it's not nice to kick someponys door down without knocking first!" she said with a giggle.
I noticed that one of the doors was shut. I ran up to it and kicked it down. When I did I found Angel Bunny sitting and gasping for fresh air. I picked him up and ran out of the house. We started to walk away after figuring out that Fluttershy wasn't there. We were on our way to Sweet Apple Acres to see if Fluttershy and the others were there. While we were walking we heard a really quiet voice. We looked around but saw nothing, so we continued but stop again when we heard the voice a little louder. This time say, "Wait up! If that's alright with you..."
"Fluttershy? Is that you?"
"Y-yes is that A-Angel Bunny with y-you?"
"Yes"
"It's alright, Fluttershy, you can come out. We thought you were dead. We saw your house engulfed in flames, that's where we found Angle." cheered Pinkie. "He's fine, Fluttershy, he just needs to get some rest for a little while, then he will be back to his normal self."
As Fluttershy slowly walked out of the bush she was cowering under, they
notice that she no longer had her cutie mark and that she was bleeding. I grab the first aid, that we took from Sugarcube Corner, and patched up all her deep cuts and continued on our way to Sweet Apple Acres. It didn't take long, but when we arrived it looked like nopony had been there for over 2 years. All the color had faded, the hinges were all rusted and the windows were all smashed. After searching for 4 hours with no hope they took a break and changed the bandages on Fluttershy. After that we headed for the CMC's tree house. There was nopony
in sight.
We have been walking for 3 days now and still no sign of anypony. We
are running out of food. Pumpkin and Pound died on day 2 of walking. We gave them a great burial, we all said good things about them. Fluttershy is getting weaker and weaker with every step, but lots of her cuts have healed. Pinkie went to get some food as we set up a little camp.
"She has been gone for hours, Twilight. Maybe we should go look for
her."
"Good idea, Fluttershy, but I want you to stay here with Angle. You need to gain some energy. I'll be back as fast as possible." I said.
"Pinkie! Pinkie, where are you? We sent you to get food hours ago!
PINKIE!"
"Twilight! I'm over here! You'll never guess who I found!"
"Pinkie, did you find any food? Fluttershy is weak and the ene..."
"Fluttershy? Where is she? I need to see."
"Twilight! am I glad to see you!"
"SPIKE?! You're okay! I thought you died when we saw Rarity's
house a pile of ashes!"
"Nope, We were going to get materials for Rarity's new wardrobe."
"Come on Rarity, follow me. I'll lead you to Fluttershy, come on.
I'll lead you two to where we have camp set up and Pinkie, please go find some food for us and don't take as long as you did when you found Spike and Rarity."
"Fluttershy, my dear you look terrible what happened?"
"Oh well you umm, when Ponyville was attacked I lost my power to
talk to animals and they attacked me it was really scary. I probably would have died if Twilight and Pinkie didn't find
me."
"Oh dear I'm so sorry to hear that."
"It's okay Rarity, I'm fine really, most the cuts have healed and
Twilight says I'll be able to walk and fly again soon. So, Twilight, did Pinkie find any food?" "No, she wasted a lot of time telling Spike and Rarity what has
been going on here, so I told her to look for some food and not take as long as she did finding them. She should be back soon don't worry."
"Here you go Twilight, I found it at an abandoned stall. That's all I could find. Hopefully it will help."
"Thanks, Pinkie it should last us till we get to Canterlot."
Three more days have passed. I think it's been three days, the sun never sets anymore. I hope Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are okay. We all need a shower but every house we find the water isn't working or the shower is broken. We set up camp in a little opening, in what we hoped wasn't the Everfree Forest. We all told stories. We ate for a bit then Rarity found some cloth and made some blankets for everypony.
"Twilight? I'm hungry can we please stop and have a snack? We been
walking for what feels like 3 hours, I'm starving!"
"Spike, we need the food for the journey but we can take a break and
get some water from the river over there. We will use the jars that had food in them to hold some water."
"Sounds good to me..."
"Me too."
"Okay, I guess." said Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy. Well, after taking our little break we heard somepony screaming
for help. We all galloped to where the sound was and we were
surprised who we seen calling for help.
"RAINBOW DASH!?"
"Twilight! Please get this boulder off my leg, it hurts so
much!"
"I wish I could but my magic isn't working, neither is Rarity's."
"Well then come push this off of my leg! I can't take the pain anymore please hurry!"
"Come on girls, let's get this boulder off of our friend!"
It took us awhile but we had eventually got the boulder off of Rainbow Dash. Thankfully Fluttershy knew how to make a splint for Rainbow Dash's busted leg and we continued on our way to Canterlot.
"Rainbow Dash? Have you seen Applejack? Was she walking with
you?" "No, I haven't seen her since we got split up by that thing."
"Okay, well hopefully she had the same idea as us and headed to Canterlot to seek refuge from the Princess's." We finally made it to Canterlot, but what we saw was horrific. The city was complete ruble. We all ran for the castle to see if the princess's were okay, but when we got there, there wasn't a single pony in sight. We all started to panic until I noticed a slip of paper on Celestia's throne I grabbed the slip of paper and began to read it aloud.
"Hello girls, I bet you wondering where your loving princess's have disappeared to well I'm sorry but I'm in control now and nothing can stop me from destroying the rest of equestria."
