Chapters It's been three years since I was released from the asylum. After all these years, I still haven't had the guts to face my friends. It's been 11 years total since I last saw my friends. And today, I'm finally going to see them. The only times I could of bumped into them was when I went to the store for food for me and the animals, but I never did... I debate whether I should take Angel bunny with me to show them everything is okay and I've changed. I sighed and put Angel on my back. I take slow steps out of my cottage and begin walking. As I get closer to Twilights castle, I freeze. What if they hate me? What if they don't want to be my friends anymore? What if they're disappointed in me? I take a deep breath and reassure myself it's in the past.
I begin walking again and knock on Twilights door. But... something's different... there's laughter coming from inside. Maybe she didn't hear me. I rang the doorbell and waited. Twilight answered.
"F-Fluttershy?"
"Y-yes... d-don't worry! I've changed..."
She smiled and said, "I'm glad... now come inside! We're having your birthday party! We didn't expect you to actually be here!" I blushed and walked inside. I heard a gasp from the crowd. "FLUTTERSHY!" Rainbow Dash bursted out as she dashed to me and hugged me tightly. I missed them so much... wait... someone's missing...
"Where's Pinkie Pie?" I asked. Rainbow Dash backed away.
Twilight answered, "Pinkie has been gone for four years..."
"The year before I was released from the asylum... Things were going downhill then... " I thought to myself. "Four years!?"
Twilight nodded, "and there have been countless disappearances since she had left."
Rarity stepped in, "we figured without kindness or laughter... maybe they were killing each other or killing themselves..."
Twilight continued, "The thing is with the element of kindness back, we are stronger, but missing one of the elements we are still incomplete. If an evil presence comes, all hope could be lost..."
Finally! Out of that asylum! I... I am no longer like that. I have changed my ways. I will never kill another animal! Now that I'm out, I'm finally free! No more nasty food from the asylum, I get to see my friends, and my anim- m-my animals... I, uh, nevertheless, I can start a new life! Get new animals and- and I still have Angel bunny! I ran to my cottage and bursted through the doors. It... seems empty... a-all my animals.... are gone.... I walk further in the cottage as I call for Angel. Hopefully I don't sound harsh... I'm... I got so used to yelling and... anger... I went upstairs to find Angel hiding in the corner of the room. As I called his name, he seems frightened and backs into the wall even further.
"I-it's ok angel... I'm not gonna hurt u.... I'm... Me again... Fluttershy..." He stays in the corner stubbornly. "GET OUT OF THE CORN-.... I-I mean Angel-" before I could finish, he dashed past me down the stairs. I sighed and looked out the window. I see the dreaded shed in the distance. I walked outside to the chicken coop. Empty. Silence. After killing most of the chickens, the others must have ran away to save themselves. Can't blame them... I walked to the shed and went inside. Dry blood still stains the walls, the vile smell of rotten flesh still roams the air, and the skulls, skin, and bones of helpless animals still line the walls. And... the toaster oven I made out of Derpy still on the table, next to my butcher knife piercing the wooden table, blood and a rotten large intestine surrounding it. And my blood-covered saw along with little brain pieces and a gallbladder. Tears come to my eyes.
"This is what's holding me back! If I destroy this, maybe, just maybe, I'll move on and change my ways and my gore impaled mind..." I went back in the cottage and went to my storage room to find gasoline and matches. I went back to the shed and poured the gasoline all over the shed and then lit a match. I sighed and remarked, "so long, 'old' friend...." and threw the match in the gasoline covered shed. I stepped back to watch it burn slowly. It burned for an hour or two, and suddenly I noticed something... animals... we're coming out of the forest toward me. I invited them in my cottage and they actually came.
The next day I woke up with Angel bunny beside me. I was surprised after his terrified reaction just the night before. I got up and realized all the animals in my house. I feed them all as if it were the old days. I went to the chicken coop to find hens filling the coop. Had the shed really made that big of a difference? I walked to where the shed was to find nothing. I guess maybe the wind blew away the ashes...
After the party I went home and laid in my bed. Angel slept beside me and a couple birds slept peacefully on my bed post. I looked out the window at where my shed used to be. I kinda miss the place... the rotten flesh stench still hasn't left my mind. But the thing that rages through my mind even more: what happened to Pinkie Pie? I tossed and turned all night. The next morning I was delirious from my sleepless night. I flew to Cloudsdale hoping to find Rainbow Dash to tell her about my night and worries. I went to the rainbow factory hoping to find her there. No sight of her. I went up to a short grey pony hoping he would know where she was.
"Um... H-hello... I was wondering if u knew where rainbow dash is?"
He turned around. I gasped. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Clutsershy. Rainbow Crash isn't around." I can't believe it! It's one of the old bullies that teased me in flight school! "Haven't seen you in a while..." he continued as he laughed and walked away. I lowered my head and continued searching. I bumped into a tall, tan stallion.
"U-um excuse me I was wondering-..."
He turned to face me as he said, "Butchershy? Did they finally let you out of the asylum?"
"W-what? T-that's not true!" I continued to lie to him. "I would never ever hurt my animals!"
"Don't lie, my friend was in the same place. He told me u were there."
I put my ears back, "the brown one..." I never cared to call them by their names.
"We have names you know. Anyway see you late-" he was suddenly interrupted by the screamed and cries of pegasi behind us. I ran over to see the gray pony laying lifeless on the clouds. It looked as though he had been stabbed four times in the chest... I stepped back and looked back at the tan pony. As he was about to say something, a pink hoof with a knife came up from the clouds and slit his throat. I was stunned as he fell motionless off the cloud. I quickly looked over the edge as he fell... until he hit the ground head first. His skull cracked, as his body went the opposite way of his head. The slit in his neck grew larger, ripping tendons and muscles. Eventually his spine was showing as his weigh caused the ripping of more flesh. After seeing this, the pink hoof came up again with a hammer, and knocked me out.
