Chapter1 - Unexplained Occurrence
The lush green fields and rolling hills seemed to go on forever and a soft breeze gently caressed the countless blades of grass yet this picturesque scene was interrupted by an alien figure that stood on a nearby hill, a formal looking blue box with the words “Police Public Call Box” inscribed on a panel near the top of each side.
From the outside the box seemed lifeless and abandoned but on the inside was a hive of activity. A strange circular room that looked more like a piece of coral than a highly advanced control room loomed just beyond the doors of the ominous blue box, in the center of the room stood a pillar which glowed an eerie greenish-blue color. The console just below looked even stranger than the room, it glowed the same color as the pillar but it looked as though it was put together entirely from random bits and bobs found in a junk yard, there seemed to be everything from a xylophone to an alarm clock stuck to its surface. Even stranger were the two figures that sat in old car seats just to the sides of the strange console.
“So, where to next Rose Tyler?” the Doctor proclaimed as he gestured grandly to the console. “We have the entirety of time and space to explore, we could go anywhere!”
“I don’t think we have been to Medieval England yet…” Rose contemplated, tapping her lip in thought.
“Aah, medieval England! Good choice, it’s been a while since iv'e been there myself! “The Doctor said springing to his feet to twiddle with a couple of switches. Soon the pillar began to rise and fall, signaling the TARDIS’s departure.
“Last time I went to medieval England they accused me of heresy! Could you believe that? Me? Heresy!” the doctor cried indignantly as the TARDIS began shaking slightly.
“Just some minor temporal turbulence, nothing to worry about” the doctor said as he began pumping a bicycle pump as the shaking became more intense.
“Well, I could think of a few situations where that could happen.” Rose teased.
“Really? All I said was that the earth revolved around the sun!” He replied as he began bashing the console with a rubber mallet.
Suddenly the TARDIS made a great groaning noise and went dark.
“No, not again!” the doctor shouted running to a monitor to check its readings
“how could this happen again? After all the measures I put it to prevent it!” began typing furiously
“what’s happening Doctor?” rose asked worriedly
“remember the cyber men, how we fell out of the time vortex and into a parallel universe?”
“How could I forget?”
“Well… it seems to have happened again. I have no idea where or when we are and the TARDIS is on emergency power so I can’t even find out!” the doctor said nervously rubbing the back of his head.
“So, uh… care for a stroll Rose?” he finished as he walked to the door and put on his coat.
