Chapter One: Arrival Stiss Four years have passed since the mortal races, of Azeroth, banded together and stood united against the might of the Burning Legion. Though the world was saved the fragile pact between the Horde and the Alliance was broken. The drums of war thunder, once again. Now trust between the members of the Alliance is waning. For a new race has been discovered… but I’m getting ahead of myself, lets go back to before all the excitement started. My name is Stiss and I am a Druid of the Alliance. This is my tale.     It all started while I was flying on my Flameward Hippogryph towards Darnassus, when I was contacted by a keeper of time, who asked me to go to Nozdormu, leader of the Bronze Dragonflight. I could not ignore a summons like this but being a Night-elf Druid i didn’t have the easiest time getting over to the Tanaris Desert. I met him in front of the hourglass of time. “Stiss, we were unable to prevent history from being changed by the Burning Legion. This has caused a rift to form in this world. I want you to go there and gather more information on this rift. Go through the portal to reach your destination and give these portal supplies to Field Agent Kaartish, It will allow you to get more supplies and troops directly from Stormwind.” When I arrived I looked on my map and noticed that I was in Mount Hyjal in a zone called the regrowth. Walking towards the rift, I noted that the Burning Legion had already set up camp and secured the portal. Looking around I noticed a guard Patrol coming my way so very quickly I summon my mount and flew off. Once in the air I saw a set of flags, one for the Horde and one for the Alliance. Quickly I started flying towards the Alliance. Perspective change to Twilight:     “Rainbow,” Twilight called out, “Why did you decide to come to the two princess’s old castle? All im looking for is more books on the elements of harmony.”     “Well Rarity and Spike are off in the mountains hunting for gems, Pinkie Pie is babysitting the Cake’s Twins, Applejack is working on the farm and Fluttershy is busy looking after her animal friends,” Rainbow replied.     “I understand their reasons for not being able to come with, but why did you come with? Didn’t you have your weather duties to attend to?”     “I finished all of the important jobs this morning. Thunderlane can take over for one afternoon. Also, how often would I get to explore a creepy old castle. You never know what adventures could be in one of these rooms.”     “Rainbow,” Twilight says as she rolls her eyes, “this castle is from before Luna and Celestia’s falling out. There will be old rooms and dusty books nothing interesting like that. But if you really want to help check out this hall as I check out the throne room.     Twilight thinking to herself as she investigates the thrones, ‘Ok now lets see here, both of these thrones are made of wood, stone and cloth.’ Lighting her horn she casts a magic detecting spell, ‘There are also remains of cushioning, heating and preserving charms on each throne that can still be activated. Behind each throne is a carving of the three elements that Luna and Celestia held respectively. Luna’s has Honesty, Laughter and Loyalty. Celestia’s had Magic, Generosity and Kindness. When Luna started to feel rejected and unloved the Elements of Harmony started to disappear one by one, starting with Laughter and ending with Ma…’ As Twilight works on studying the throne room, Rainbow is slowly flying around the near by halls.  All of a sudden there is a clattering coming from the throne room followed by the sound of foot steps. Following the sound of the foot steps, she passes by the Throne room and notices that Twilight’s quill and scroll are lying on the ground. Dash then flies as fast as she can, but staying in control, to catch up with the now running foot steps. As she flies around a corner she spots two red creatures standing on their hind legs, carrying Twilight towards a red vortex. Doing her best to stop them she flies after the strange creatures, who throw Twilight through the vortex before going through one after the other. Rainbow Dash flies through after them but before she does, the vortex changes from red to green. Once Rainbow goes through, the vortex collapses on itself leaving behind three crystals as its only proof of even being there. Stiss Upon landing I went to the makeshift command post to find Field Agent Kaartish looking over a map of the area.     “Stiss i am glad you are here! With the portal supplies as well. Now we can get reserve troops to us faster than we could before.”     “It is good to be of service to the Alliance,” I respond. “On the way here I did a quick fly by of the Burning Legion’s camp. How did they set all this up so fast?     “Well it all started about a week ago when one of our spies noticed that there was heavy troop movement and…”     “Sir, there is movement down below,” a lookout cried! Following Kaartish to the top of the hill I see that coming out of the portal is a group of orcs holding what looks like a small purple quadruple. Once they clear the portal it winks out leaving what look like a few corrupted ather crystals where it once stood.     “Stiss would you happen to know what it is that those orcs have,” Kaartish asked.     “I have no idea, we should really report this to King Varian Wrynn. If you give me a message I will take it to him myself,” I proclaim.     Taking a few minutes to think it over, Kaartish then goes over to a nearby table and writes out a short letter to the ruler of Stormwind.     “Take this there now, my mark will prevent any questioning from the guards.”     All of a sudden the portal to Stormwind turned a sickly green and the image of Stormwind disappeared. Looking over to the portal mage I see that he is no longer casting a spell, cutting off his spell the moment the trouble started. Even though the mage wasn’t casting the portal was getting power from another source. The portal surged with power and three crystals emerged from the portal, one red, one blue and one yellow.     “SIR, we have lost connection with Stormwind!” the portal mage yelled.     “By the light of Elune, I can see that,” Kaartish yelled back, “Guards! Gather around the portal! Stiss would you take the portal’s exit.”     Forming into protective ranks around the portal, I took my place at the head. Going through the situation in my mind i decide that the more protection I had the better. So I quickly turned into my bear form and a priest put a shield around me for further protection. Finally the portal stabilizes and a light shadow forms in the center slowly getting darker. Using my instinct I rear up and come back down aiming at what looked like a rainbow flying out of the portal, and stunning it. Looking down, I take a step back when I see what looks like a young human horse. But instead of being a normal brown color this, horse, has a blue coat with a rainbow mane and tail.     “Stiss, what do you have there? Have you ever seen something like that before?” Kaartish asked.     “No.” I replied, “I have never seen something like this before. The closest thing I can place it as is a young horse. I would recommend that we restrain it before it wakes up and possibly causes any damage.”     As I was saying those words, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the rainbow maned horse stand up, shake and rub her head then look around with wide eyes before stopping on me.     “What… where am I, who are you?” she cried out. Then her eyes widened “ Where is Twilight? What have you done with her?” One of the guards behind her, thinking she was going to attack, crept up behind her and knocked her out with the pommel of his sword. “Well Stiss,” Kaartish commented, “It seemed to see you as a leader. What do you want done with her?” “Get her over to the medical tent and restrain her” I told the troops. “But do so gently, she is far more than a common beast.” Turning to the healers, “Take care of any wounds that she may have and inform me if she changes in any ways.” Going over to the portal mages, I started to help them remake the connection over to Stormwind wondering how could this day get any stranger.
