Our Tale begins in the land of Equestria, more specifically, the Crystal Empire, where Twilight Sparkle and her friends, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Spike, where just getting off the train from Ponyville to go see Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadence for Twilights first princess summit.
Applejack turns to Twilight and exclaims “Whewy! Your very first princess summit! You must be over the moon Twilight!”
Twilight looks at Applejack and smiles nervously “Oh, I am excited, but at the same time, Im a little nervous to-“
Suddenly Pinkie Pie gets right in Twilights face! “Your nervouscited! ITS LIKE YOU WANT TO JUMP UP AND DOWN AND GO ‘YEA YEA!’” screams Pinkie as she begins acting out what she’s telling Twilight “But you also want to curl up into a teeny tiny ball and hide at the same time!!!” While uncurling from her teeny tiny ball, Pinkie Pie suddenly makes a transformation sound which only the readers are able to hear for some reason “WEVE ALL been there!” Pinkie says while giving Twilight a nuggie
Fluttershy looks at the ground nervously and quietly says to the group “I’m there almost every day....”
Applejack smiles at Fluttershy, then looks back at Twilight “Ya got no reason to frit Twi. Everything’s gonna be just-“
Suddenly Rarity cuts off Applejack and jumps in Twilights face “TWILIGHT!!! Oh, Sorry Darling, but I just realized you’re not wearing your crown! You haven’t forgotten it back in Ponyville have you?” she asks as she begins checking all over Twilight for her crown. Twilight, after breaking free of Rarity’s grip, says calmly, “It’s in my bag” and points to Spike patting her bag firmly. “Just feel a little self-conscious about wearing it… Havent… gotten used to these either” she says while look at her new wings and flaps them, only to fall onto the ground.
Rarity looks at her friend and exclaims “You are a PRINCESS now Twilight! Embrace it! Im telling you, if I had a crown like that, I would never take it off…. Why Id sleep in the thing!” Twilight gives a smile as they walk to the Crystal Empire.
Slowly the doors to the Throne Room open up revealing Celestia, Luna, and Cadence as the crystal pony guards begins playing the trumpets to welcome the girls and Spike in. Soon the guards put down their trumpets as one of them announces “Her Highness…. PRINCESS Twilight Sparkle!” As soon as he finishes, Princess Cadence walks down to Twilight “TWIIGHT! I haven’t seen you since the coronation!” Celestia slowly walks up with her sister Luna and speaks to them gently, “We have so much to discuss. But it can wait until tomorrow. You all look tired from your journey. Now off to bed, all of you” Then the girls turn around and cheer happily while going to their rooms.
Before Twilight and Spike head to bed, Twilight begins unpacking her bag, then looks in the mirror while wearing her crown and sighs. Spike looks up from making his little bed and notices Twilights face “What’s Wrong Twilight?” “Oh, I don’t know Spike… I’m just worried I guess. Princess Cadence was given the Crystal Empire to rule over… What if now that I’m a princess, Celestia expects me to lead a kingdom of my own?” Spike then walks over with a smile and poses on his tail saying “That would be AWESOME!” Twilight frowns and retorts “No it would NOT! Just because I have this crown and these wings, doesn’t mean I’ll be a good leader!” “Aw sure you will Twilight, but come on! You should get some shut eye. Big day tomorrow!” Spikes says turning off the lamp and crawls into his own bed as Twilight does the same. However, a few minutes later “Ugh… Ehh!” Spike wakes up and notices Twilight struggling in her bed” Can’t… Tuck!!!” suddenly both her wings flex up and refuse to stay down “Just TRYING to get comfortable!” Soon she’s able to get them down and gets back into bed… only for them to pop open again “UGHH….”
(Later that night)
The Royal Guard is doing their normal security job searching the castle grounds, when a sealed off room glows suddenly, as six ponies emerge from a mirror being watched over by Cadence after taking over the Crystal Empire. “Alright you fools. We haven’t got all night! Search the grounds for the elements, then return here!” the door swings open quietly as the ponies run out, and go to the girls rooms for the elements. The leader, a muscular unicorn with red and black fur and a cyan mane, slowly opens the door to Twilights room. Making sure everyone was asleep, he slowly walks into her room, making sure his new feet were extra quiet. Soon he notices Twilights crown and smiles evilly, walking over to it. Looking down at his fingerless hooves in frustration, he uses his unicorn magic to grab the crown, only to bump it into the lamp, but grabs it with his magic as well and returns it to its stand. Making sure he didn’t wake somepony up with that accident, he slides the crown into his bag and pulls out a fake one to replace it. Satisfied, he turns and walks away only for Spike to flip over and have his dragon tail trip him. “OW!” Spike suddenly wakes up and looks around “Huh? What?” Twilight yawns and turns to see the intruder, with her crown showing out of his bag. “MY CROWN! HES GOT MY CROWN!!!” Suddenly he runs outta the room, with Twilight hot on his hooves, only for 5 other unicorns to push her aside, with the Elements of Harmony on them. “THEY STOLEN THE ELEMENTS!” Suddenly the other girls run outta their rooms hearing Twilight and run after her.
Using her magic, Twilight warps in-front of the six unicorns “STOP!” Suddenly the unicorns warp right past her, appearing behind her as their leader smiles very darkly, then continue running off. Twilight growls and continues the chase, soon catching up to him and tackles him , causing the element to fly outta his bag, bang around the room, and fly into the magic mirror causing the girls to gasp. Twilight then turns to the pony and asks “What did you do with my crown?” in which he smirks and shoves her aside. “Sorry it had to be this way…. Princess” Then the unicorns jump throw the mirror causing another gasp to appear. Twilight growls and gives chase into the mirror, not knowing what would be on the other side, as she notices the others follow her into the mirror with her. Suddenly Twilight was wondering if this was a smart idea as her head began to feel dizzy and her stomach made her feel like she was gonna hurl as they all were spinning around through the portal to a brand new world, brand new friends, and a brand new adventure!
Slowly Rainbow Dash came to, trying to figure out what just happened. Spike walks over to her and nudges her, asking “Hey Rainbow, you alright?” Rainbow turns to him and replies “Yea, I’m go- Spike? What… Happened to you?” Spike spins around and notices he’s now a bit taller, a fin on the back replacing his spikes, and a harness. “I…. I don’t know! But you all have changed to!” Rainbow then looks at her front hooves to discover… HANDS! “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Rainbow screams at the top of her lungs causing her friends to wake up and notice their changes as well, causing them to scream and Spike to cover his ears. Twilight is the first to speak, asking, “Wha-WHAT Has happened to us?” Pinkie Pie giggles and jumps around on her two feet, replying “Silly! Were in another dimension where humans are nearly extinct with the main species being animals who walk on two feet and act totally like humans!” She then stops and smiles causing the others to stare at her in disbelieve questioning just how she knew that. Fluttershy then looks around noticing the buildings and advanced technology all around them and cowers in fear, “this place scares me, can we go back home where its nice and peaceful?” Rarity looks at her friend and comfort’s her. “Darling, I know this place looks dreadful, I mean, LOOK at the fashion of this place! Its just AWFUL! But we must go on. Those six unicorns stole the Elements of Harmony from us and we need to get them back” Applejack pats Fluttershy on the back and smiles, “Don’t you frit. As long as we stick together, everything will be just fine!” The rest of the girls and Spike nod, giving Fluttershy confidence to continue. “So where EXACTLY are we?” Twilight asks with hope that maybe Pinkie Pie as random as she is, knew, but sadly, nopony had an answer. Twilight was just about to lose hope until she noticed some animals walking into a restaurant. “Come on everypony! Lets see if anyone there knows!” They walk to the building to get their answers, until suddenly a large shadow covers over them, causing them to turn around. Rainbow looks up and gasps, “WHAT IS THAT???” Up in the sky is a strange little moon with a crazy face, and atop it lies a strange looking creature, wearing spiky bracelets and necklaces, with horns all over his body, razor sharp teeth, and his tongue hanging out of his mouth, but what caught the girls attention as Spike runs into the building to hide, was that he was holding onto Pinkie Pie’s Element of Harmony. Pinkie suddenly snorts hot air out of her muzzle while fire pours outta her eyes* THAT’S MINE YOU BIG MEANY!!!” The monster looks down at the ponies and laughs manically and says with pure joy, “I never thought you'd make it this far in one piece. We may get to tangle after all!" Applejack runs up to him and yells at him “OH YEA? WELL JUST SEE ABOUT THAT!” The monster than laughs his head off more and begins firing stars out of his moon hover craft straight at the ponies! “BRING IT ON AND ILL RIP YOU UP!!!” The stars begin landing close to the girls causing them to jump in panic. Twilight then decides to use her magic on him, but when she aims her horn at him and makes it glow, it suddenly shorts out! “My Magic! It isn’t working!!!” The monster then floats down near then and laughs even more “Is that so? THEN THIS WILL BE THE EASIEST FIGHT IVE EVER HAD!” He then charges a ball of energy in his right hand, as he begins drawing power from Pinkies Element and fires it at the group, causing them to be blown back. Pinkie growls in pain and jumps at him in pure rage! “GIVE ME BACK MY ELEMENT!!!” Before she could grab it however, He holds it just high enough for her to not be able to grab it and kicks her to the ground! Pinkie moans in pain and trys to stand up, only for him to stand before her with another charged shot ready to launch, but before he could, someone kicks him to the ground, then lands right infront of Pinkie “Wha?” Pinkie looks up to her savior, a young animal with blue fur, spikes, and wearing sneakers and gloves. Pinkie slowly stands up and begins to thank him, only for him to speak to the monster. “So You finally show your face Zazz! Ive been waiting to take you guys down ever since I last saw you!” The monster, now known as Zazz, screams in rage. “STINKIN HEDGEHOG!!! IM GONNA MESS YOU UP!!!” Zazz then jumps on his mech and begins firing more stars at the hedgehog, but he manages to dodge all his attacks, then suddenly jumps up and suddenly flys right into Zazz as a ball and knocks him off. Zazz, obviously angry, yells at the hedgehog in rage “FINE! IVE BEEN ITCHING FOR A FIGHT ALL DAY!!!” The Hedgehog runs up to him and gives him a sniff. “Hehe, I think you’re itching because you need a bath!” Zazz then sniffs himself and growls at the Hedgehog, “ARE YOU DISRESPECTING ME?” “Maybe” the hedgehog replies quickly to, causing Zazz to yell in fury, “THAT’S IT! YOUR GOING HOME IN A BOX!!!” But before he could carry out his threat, the hedgehog suddenly spins in place and rams himself right into Zazz, causing the girls to gasp at the moves he was doing. Rainbow Dash, obviously getting jealous, flys over to the Hedgehog as soon as he stands up. “Hey! Go fight your own battles! He wanted us, so go away and well take it from here!” He then turns and smiles, “And let you guys have all the fun? As if!” Zazz then stomps over and growls deeply, “I know the PERFECT Spot to take care of you…” The Hedgehog then turns around and chuckles. “Really? Cause I know the perfect spot to KICK you!” Zazz then makes a fist and fires an energy orb at him, only for the hedgehog to jump in the air and launch himself straight at Zazz, knocking him over again. Zazz then stands up and stomps the ground, then jumps back on his mech still holding Pinkie’s Element of Harmony. "You're lucky this time!" He then flies away as the Hedgehog spins around and breakdances from the victory. Twilight walks over to him after he gets back up and says to him “Thank you for your help… Uh… may I ask what your name is?” The hedgehog then turns to them and smiles. “Of course! It was no biggy! My name is Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog!”
