Grams is somewhere in her old ages. She is not too fit anymore.
I heard the kitchen door slam shut. What where they doing? I pressed my hear to the door. All I could hear was muffling! "Dan-get." I mumbled.
"Hey." A voice from behind me said and it scared me. I jump causing my mane to cover my face. My tail whipped me and I fell to the ground. "Calm down", said my brother pulling my long brown mane so that it was not covering my face. "What are they talking about." He whispered. "I don't know.
My little sister twinkle came up and said " Are you eves dropping, with that annoying high little Philly voice. "Yes we are." I comment.
While we are waiting for them to come back I check on my little brother. I look in his crib. There is that cute little baby boy, so innocent and sweet. One of his eyes open, than the other, he stared at me and finally squealed "Siy sto". ( HIs way of saying my name, Silky Stone.) "Yes it's me!" I said back.
His little hooves grab around his crib bars. He squeals Ou Ou, (Out out.) Okay, Okay I giggle. My younger sister comes in as I am putting my brother on the floor to play. " We are going to have to make ourselves dinner ya know! They aren't coming out!."
I pick up Apple Pie and we head down stairs.
My brother looks at me. "They are in the kitchen how are we going to make dinner?" "HMMMMM....." I mutter to myself. In my head I think, your the big brother you should figure it out! Which then I realize that it doesn't matter who is older we should just figure it out. Then an idea pops into my head.
"If we have saved enough money we can go to the local market and buy something for us to eat!" "Okay my older brother says.
"My sister barges in, "not to be rude but we could just barge into the kitchen." "Sorry twinkle, but we have to respect the adults." I say.
"Ugggg" She growls. Her soft, yet straight, and short light brown main sits perfectly on her shoulders like some proper beauty lady. She is such a little sassy queen! We are so different! I have a short temper and a messy long dark brown mane. Sometimes I wonder how we are related.
"Stop complaining!" I snap at her. " Calm down" . My older brother says "let's go see how much money we can find." He says.
I don't know what I would do without my brother pulley me and Twinkle apart when we fight.
My hooves carry me down the hall, and I run into my room, realizing I still have Apple Pie in my arms, I set him down on my small bed. I look around my room for my piggy bank, and I can't find it. I then remember I hid it where my sister would not find it . I grab my desk chair and my favorite book. I put my books on my desk chair and balance on it.
My legs collapse beneath me as I am balancing and I fall, causing my chair to fall over and the books to go flying. This is the time I wish I were a Pegasus or a Unicorn.
My brother comes in quickly. "What are you doing?" He says. "Trying to reach my piggy bank. "I say my face turning red. "Why is it up there?" "I was hiding it from Twinkle." My brother sighs "I wish you two would get along." He reaches up and grabs my piggy bank. He hands it to me.
I dump it over and out comes three coins. My brother reaches into his pocket and says, "I found six." I hope it's enough. Maybe Twinkle found some.
Twinkle comes in empty handed. " I do not have any money, sorry I always used it all on candy.
"Of corse you don't have any money," I mumble under my breath. My brother nudges me. "Sorry" I say in the fake sort of way.
I grab Apple pie and we head to the store.
When we open the door, mom is sitting in the living room with Gram next to her. They are both crying.
"What is it?" I say. "Sit down everyone." My mother says. "Remember how Gram is having medical issues. Well I got an email of her results from the doctor and she is getting worse fast. As you know we are very poor and so is Gram and we do not have enough money for her medical attention." After a long talk we have agreed that you are going to have to live at an orphanage. The only way we can get enough money is to sell this house and get a very small one. Then we will not have enough room for all of you, plus we will barely have enough money after that for us to live on. We are so sorry."
I sit there shocked. Did what I just hear, just happen? I think to myself. Thoughts flow through my head. I can't think. What is happening! Am I dying. I start to feel sick, I see my brother run out the door. I see my little baby brother sitting on my lap, having no clue what is going on. I see my sister follow my brother and I hear sounds, but no words. The world around me starts to fade and then the world goes black.
