Embrace the darkness to live a life without fears. It was dark... He was alone. It was the fate he chose, the fate he deserved. Frozen Ascend has never been a very sociable person. He was always standing aside when others met to talk. He has always been alone. He accepted this fate a long time ago and he learned to live with it. He even started to like this fate. Thus, he felt no sorrow when he finally made the decision to leave his home, his family, his few friends. Maybe, if people would have accepted him as he was, he would have chosen a different fate ... if he ever had a choice. Now it was too late to change all this again. He was sitting in a cave but not just an ordinary cave. He was the first pony to explore the mysterious mountains, known as "Peaks of the Spirits" or "Spiritual Heights". Pony, he couldn't believe they still called themselves ponies. After centuries of evolution only their heads and hooves remained as equine attributes. He looked around. On the walls were old paintings. they displayed an old culture of intelligent ponies taking care of fields and their youngest. And even though they were quadrupal they still reminded him of the ponies nowadays. Taking the paintings as reference he figred out that the ancient ponyrace had equal if not even advanced technology. "Such a shame that their technology got lost" he thought to himself. "Some of their machines seem to work just with the influence of magical output. No matter if that output is pointed directly at the device or just randomly caught by that device". "Finally you arrived, warrior" He heard a strange but familiar voice saying. "Who are you?" Frozen Ascend asked. "My name doesn't matter" said the voice. "The only thing that matters is that you provide all the necessary qualifications". "Qualifications? Qualifications for what?" asked Frozen Ascend. "You are strong, you are alone and the most important thing, you are not bound to any social contacts in this world" The voice spoke very insistently. "You are the perfect candidate for the things i have planned...just perfect" It was a bright and sunny day and Rainbow Dash couldn't be happier with her life. She was flying as fast as she could, soaring through the skies and bursting through the clouds. It felt like nothing could go wrong on this sunny and perfect day. "RAINBOW DASH!!!" Twilight suddenly tore Rainbow out of her daydreams. "Rainbow Dash!" Twilight repeated. "Yes Twilight?" Rainbow asked hovering downwards. "Did you forget about our meeting today? Everyone else already arrived, only you are missing, Rainbow" "Oh gosh, i am sorry Twilight, the flying got a hang of me, again" Rainbow excused. "Just come with me, we don't have all day" Twilight said. Rainbow dash landed next to Twilight. Something was bothering Twilight. Nothing new knowing Twilight but today she was extra hasty. They were going together through Ponyville. They greeted other passangers but kept a rather fast pace. "Where exatcly are we going, Twilight?" Rainbow asked. "To the Library." Twilight answered. "I could have guessed" Dash sighed. They stayed quiet for the rest of the way and with each step, Rainbow Dash was getting more fretful. "What could have happened?" she thought by herself. Finally they arrived at the Golden Oak Library. As they entered, Rainbow dash was greeted by an overenthusiastic Pinkie Pie thus she seemed to be the only member of the gang who behaved liek every otehr day. "FINALLY YOU'RE HERE DASHIE" Pinkie shouted, the eyes opened, beaming joy. "So twilight, would you be a dear and tell us why you wanted us all to come here?" Rarity sounded like Twilight kept her from a very important project that had to be finished. Twilight nodded and began to speak: "Now that you all are here, i guess i should finally tell you all the matter of this meeting." She took a deep breath "As you all know, there are very strange looking mountains in Equestria, known as 'Spiritual Heights'. Princess Celestia sent me a letter that she has some fears regarding those mountains. If you know any ponies who are planning to travel near those mountains, keep them from doing it. They might be dangerous. But, please don't spread fear under the population, onjly we and spike know about this letter and i trust you all that you won't say a word. Everyone in the room understood the importance of the message. If anyone besides them knew of this message, fear would spread faster than an inferno between the rest of ponyville and maybe all of Equestria. And fear amongst the population would be the last everyone in the room would ever hope for. "Why should i even think about helping you with your plans?" Frozen Ascend asked. "Becasue i can give you everything you never received. Recognition, power, revenge!" The voice seemed to know how to intrigue Frozen Ascend for her plans. Never in his life, he ever received said things, Never was he recognized for the deeds he did for other poeple, never did he get any kind of power over his decisions, never did he get revenge for girl that was taken by another. All those memories rushed through Frozen Ascend as he raised his head. "I still don't like... actually i hate you for bringing back those memories, but i am listening. So, say what you have to say. I will decide afterwards if i am going to help you." Frozen Ascend just wanted to leave this voice but he felt that it might help him to achieve all the goals he never managed to achieve on his own.
