Author's Note
Note this isn't like the story mode of Metro 2033 were Артем (pronounced Artyom or Artem) is always doing something, it's just a day-to-day story following ThunderShock, with the occasional 'quest'. I might add Russian here and there, I haven't yet, but if I do I will translate in parentheses -( )- or in the notes or somewhere. My Russian is not perfect as it is not my first language of course, but if there are mistakes please tell me in the comments and I will fix it.
Welcome To The Metro
The point of this is a census of who lives in the Metro and what goes on. Also I plan on making a map ASAP, how I don't know, but I will. This is not required to get the story, but can be very useful and is highly recommended. Note, I'm only putting important people on for now and will add to it as more characters develop and are introduced. I do not include in-laws as a relation because that would take to much time and space. This will be updated when possible. UPDATE: This section was meant to be a separate chapter, but that didn't pass moderation. Any questions please ask, I apologize for any disappointment.

-- June 7, 2033 - 7:00 AM --
Thunder awoke in his room with Lavender on his chest, he looked around as usual, making sure nothing went wrong over, what they assumed was night. He slowly took Lavender off his chest and laid her down next to him on the bed, he stood up and covered her with the cheap wool military blanket and kissed her on the cheek. He walked to the corner of the room where he kept his rifles, backpacks, and other important stuff. On his AK-74 he saw a piece of paper.
Dad, went to the vendors to look around for a bit, I borrowed some rubles and bits in case I find something. I should be back before noon. -Love Cadence. Thunder chuckled and set the paper to the side.
"Just like her mother." He thought to himself. He grabbed his rucksack, AK, a couple spare clips, and some rubles. He wrote a note telling Lavender he would be downtown, the main area of the metro, with Cadence and Shining. He set it next to her wedding ring and necklace on the crate they used for a table next to the bed. He walked downtown with his gear clattering on his back, saying hi to the occasional kid playing with their parents. He got to the trade market and looked around for Cadence, she was at the stand she always was, the jewelry stand, looking at whatever there was, it was crude and pretty cheap, but better than nothing.
"Hi darling." Thunder said kissing the top of her head.
"Oh, hey dad, what are you up to?" Cadence said turning around to face him.
"Making sure you don't spend all my money." He said laughing. "So did you find anything new?" He asked her.
"No, not really." She said frowning a little.
"Well, I'm heading over to the Armory, you should come, I'll introduce you to Sergeant Fire Heart, he's an old friend of mine." Thunder said putting his arm over her shoulder.
"OK, sounds fun, but I thought civilians aren't allowed in the Armory?" Cadence asked.
"Not usually, but with an officer's permission they can." Thunder said.
"Oh, didn't know that." She said thinking.
"I didn't tell you because I've been working on something you should have, but I think it's time you get it." He said with a mysterious tone.
"What is it?" She asked.
"You'll see." He said walking to the vault-looking door. He used a key to unlock it and he let Cadence in and followed closely behind.
"Hey, Sergeant." Thunder called to a rough looking guy in the corner smoking a cheap cigarette.
"Hey-hey, Lieutenant. How you been?" He asked.
"I've been good, how bout yourself?" Thunder returned.
"Well I ain't dead, so I must be doing alright." He said laughing hard.
"You've been saving that one for a while haven't you?" Thunder asked with a chuckle.
"A little while. So who's this little girl you got here? New girlfriend the wife don't know about?" The Sergeant said laughing again.
"No, dumbass, that's my daughter, Cadence." Thunder said with a joking tone.
"Hi." Cadence said quietly.
"Oh, this is your daughter. What the Hell happened?" The Sergeant said semi-seriously.
"What does that mean?" Thunder asked knowing what he was going to say.
"Well she looks good, you do not." He said without a smile.
"Well, that she gets from her mother." Thunder told him.
"Ah that explains it. So what're you here for today?" The Sergeant asked.
"Well I'm looking for another AK-74, for Cadence here." Thunder said patting her shoulder. She looked at him with a smile.
"Ahh, I got plenty of them." He said walking to the crates in the back. He opened one and looked at some guns, making comments to himself.
"Alright then, this should do good for the little girl." He said setting down a seemingly brand-new AK-74 on the counter. "Go on, give her a feel." He said motioning to Cadence. She looked at and ran her hand across the varnished wood hand-grip and picked up putting it to her shoulder and looking down the sights at a broken bottle across the room.
"How's it feel, sweetie?" Thunder asked her.
"Really nice, actually." Cadence told him while looking at the gun like it was a shiny diamond.
"Do you want it?" He asked her.
"What?" Cadence said surprised.
"Well, you use mine all the time and me and your mother were talking and we agreed it's time you got your own." Thunder told her.
"Yes, I do want it, it's very beautiful." She said admiring the light wood stock.
"I knew you would." Thunder said. Cadence smiled and hugged him.
"I'll take that as a yes." He said.
"Alright, so what do you want for it? Case? Sling? Extra clips, cause you sure ain't using mine." Thunder said.
"Just a sling and mags will do." Cadence told him.
"Alright. One 2-point wrap sling and 4 mags and throw in a bandoleer." Thunder told the Sergeant. He nodded walked back and grabbed a few things.
"Alright here we are, also there is a standard issue cleaning kit, it's required now so here's yours to." He said handing him the kits.
"Oh, alright." Thunder said taking them. "What do I owe you?" He asked.
"Let's see, AK, 4 mags, a 2-point sling, bandoleer, 100 5.45mm cartridges. Total comes to 756 Bits." The Sergeant said.
"Alright then. Well I have 500 bits, but I have some rubles to so here's 500 bits and 512 rubles." Thunder said setting the money on the counter.
"Ah, I see you remembered our rules, no more than 500 bits on you. Makes you a sitting target, keep that in mind Cadence, could save you some day." He said to her.
"Alright, I'll keep that in mind." She told him.
"So that should be all. Now listen here Cadence, you get bored with your dad here feel free to stop by, just knock and tell me your name and I'll let you in." He said with a happy look on his face. She nodded in acknowledgement.
"Come on Cadence, I assume your mother will be up now. Thanks Sergeant, see you soon." Thunder said walking out with Cadence. Once the door was shut Cadence had two things on her mind.
"Two questions for you dad." Cadence started.
"OK, what is it?" He asked.
"Why was he so happy to see me? And why did he say to go see him?" Cadence asked. Thunder sighed.
"His daughter died a while ago and I always considered him my brother, we've served longer than most around here. So he wouldn't be your uncle, but it really tore him up when his daughter died so you were the closest thing he had to one." Thunder explained.
"Oh, I didn't know that." Cadence said.
"Yeah. It would mean the world to him if you went and visited once and a while." Thunder told her.
"I can do that. So my other question was why did you spend so much on me, not that I don't appreciate it, but it seems like a lot." Cadence told him.
"Well a few reasons, you need protection and we have some extra money and felt you deserve it." He explained. By the time he finished they were back in the room. By this time Lavender was up.
"Hey sweetie, how's everything going?" Thunder said walking to Lavender and kissing her cheek.
"It's alright for now. What's that on Cadence's back?" Lavender said with a smile.
"We were talking about it and today was a good day." Thunder told her.
"Can I see it?" Lavender asked Cadence. Cadence said sure and handed it to her.
"This looks just as good as the one your father got me. Believe it or not that was his wedding present to me." Lavender said smiling and laughing.
"Well to be fair you should expect that, I bought my parents a pair of Colt .45 revolvers for their 25th anniversary." Thunder said with a small chuckle.
"Don't forget our anniversary is tomorrow to." Lavender said hitting him lightly in the arm. He sat down next to her and kissed her on the cheek again.
"How could I forget that?" He said kissing her neck softly.
"I know you won't, I'm just reminding you." She said handing Cadence her rifle back and turning to him putting her arms around him and kissing him.
"Oh, really you two?" Cadence said sarcastically.
"Hey, I've caught you and Shining doing it." Thunder joked.
"That's different, people see us and they think 'cute young couple' they see you and think 'old married couple with nothing better to do'." Cadence joked back.
"Well you might want to leave then." Lavender butted in as she went back to kissing him. Cadence laughed and walked to the other side of the room and sat down. Lavender and Thunder played around like teenagers for a few minutes. After a while another one of the officers walked in.
"Hey Thunder. I hate to bug you but I have some news. You remember the vault people were talking about?" He asked. Thunder nodded yes. "Good, well some scouts from Station 0318 found and entrance matching the description. We are going around to local Metros get a small group to head out and see if we can't open it."
"Alright then, so what do I need to do?" Thunder asked.
"Nothing for now, unless we need you. Just wanted to keep you in the loop." The officer said standing up.
"Alright then, it's appreciated." Thunder told him. The officer nodded and walked out.
"So they might actually find it. I think that calls for celebration." Lavender said laying on Thunder and kissing him again.
"Alright then, I'm going to go meet the guys." Thunder interjected. "Cadence, why don't you come?" He asked her.
"OK, but I will get you one way or another." Lavender said nipping his nose. He kissed her again then got up and grabbed his stuff again.
"Come on Cadence." Thunder said motioning her to him. She got up and grabbed her stuff then walked out with him. Once they were out of Lavender's hearing range Thunder told her what he was doing.
"OK, usually I would meet the guys, but it's our anniversary tomorrow so I want to get her something. You know what women like and I'm sure shes tired of rifles, so I'm having you help me." Thunder told her as they walked to the market area.
"OK, so I know the firearms and military stuff but that's it so you need to help me with this. Now it can't be something fancy like jewelry or something, she'll know you helped. Find something like a nice jacket or something on that order." Thunder informed her.
"Hmmm, jacket or something. This way." Cadence grabbed his arm and walked to the back. "Here, the best clothes vendor here, in my opinion anyway." Cadence said pointing.
"OK, now you're the same size as her right?" Thunder asked.
"Yeah, last I checked." Cadence told him.
"Alright, how about this?" Thunder asked grabbing a military style jacket off the table. Cadence laughed. "What?" He asked.
"It's nice actually, but you gotta stay away from the military stuff." Cadence said.
"Well she kind of expects it from me." Thunder said.
"Well OK, but look around a little. Don't buy the first thing you see." Cadence told him.
"Alright. Alright, you know best." Thunder said laughing. They looked around for a few minutes and saw a couple things, but they eventually agreed on the jacket. It wasn't actual military issue, it looked like a M-62 field jacket, just lighter and narrower for a female.
"Well, OK, it does look cute anyway." Cadence said. Thunder smiled and asked the guy running the stand how much.
"How about 35 rubles?" He asked.
"OK, sounds good." Thunder said handing him the money. Thunder and Cadence walked away.
"You know you could have gotten it for less, right?" Cadence told him.
"I know, but it's for your mom, it's worth it." Thunder said with a half grin.
"Hmm, OK then." Cadence shrugged. They walked back to the room and Thunder poked his head around the corner of the door way.
"Hey sweetie, do you want your present now or later?" Thunder asked.
"What?" Lavender said surprised.
"Well I told you I went to hang with the guys but I actually went and got your gift." Thunder told her.
"But our anniversary is tomorrow." Lavender said smiling.
"I know, but I wanted to surprise you, that's why I had Cadence come with, she helped pick it out." Thunder explained as Cadence walked around behind him and went and sat down in the chair in the room.
"let me guess, another rifle?" Lavender said with a laugh.
"Not this year." He said.
"Really, well then, can I see it now?" She asked with her beautiful ice blue eyes.
"Sure, that's actually why I got it now, it's actually a present for both of us." He said laughing.
"How does that work?" She asked smiling.
"Well, you get to wear it and I get to see you wear it." He said smiling back.
"Nothing like that right?" She said curiously.
"No, not like that, promise." He said.
"Hmm, OK, well let's see it." She said standing up.
"Alright, here." He said handing her the jacket.
"Oh, wow, it's nice." She said looking at it.
"Go on, try it." Thunder said. She opened it up and put it on. "Mmm, even better than expected." He said walking to her and putting his hands on her hips. She put her arms around his neck.
"It's beautiful, I love it." She said kissing him.
"I knew you would." He said kissing her back. He picked her up and she wrapped her legs around him and he took her to the bed and set her down.
"That's pleasant." Cadence said to herself.
"Я люблю тебя, Лаванда." Thunder told Lavender.
"Я тоже тебя люблю, гром." Lavender returned.
"What the Hell does that mean?" Cadence asked.
"Russian for 'I love you', mostly." Thunder answered.
"Why do you know that?" Cadence asked again.
"I know a lot of it and taught a bit to your mother." Thunder said.
"Well, as long as it's not dirty or I can't understand it I'm happy." Cadence said picking up a pre-war magazine.
"OK, in that case. Давайте просто делают это, чтобы мочиться ее." Thunder said to Lavender.
"Звучит весело мне." Lavender with a smile. Thunder slowly kissed her neck, making her squeak a little.
"OK, before you two go any further I'm going to leave and get Shining." Cadence said laughing lightly as she grabbed her pack and new rifle and went to find Shining.
"Я собираюсь поехать ли вам в мире финале снова." Lavender said in soft sultry voice.
"Oh, damn, good thing Cadence isn't here." Thunder said smiling as Lavender pushed him over on his back and sitting on his waist. She took off the jacket and set it on the bedside crate and took off her shirt and teasingly dangled it in his face. Then she unbuttoned his military jacket and set it on hers. She lowered herself on him and starting kissing him sloppily as he ran his hands through her hair, she made light quick moans every so often. He ran his hand across her sides with his finger tips, she would squeal softly when he hit a sensitive spot, he took his hand down to her butt and started rubbing it gently. She hummed lightly in response and wrapped her arms around him tightly. He ran his hands down the back of her thighs then the backs of her knees then her shins going to her feet and back up again. She shivered when he hit a ticklish spot. At this point Twilight walked in looking for Cadence.
"Hey have you seen...Oh, that's nice." Twilight groaned and laughed seeing Thunder and Lavender having a grope-fest. Lavender and Thunder laughed.
"Hello Twilight, looking for Cadence?" Lavender said like nothing was happening.
"Umm, yeah, have you seen her?" Twilight said looking away awkwardly.
"Yeah, she just left to look for Shining downtown." Lavender informed her.
"Alright, thanks, you two have fun." Twilight said hitting the wall lightly and walking away.
"OK, then, where were we?" Lavender said turning back to Thunder.
"Something like this." He said rubbing her lower back again. An hour later they finished and Cadence, Shining, and Twilight returned. Thunder and Lavender were laying on the bed under the blankets with Lavender on his chest, cuddling softly.
"I managed to find Shining and Twilight found me as well." Cadence said as she walked in with them.
