Equestria: Awakening

"AH MOTHERBUCKER!!" I yell out as I hold the gash on my left hoof, the blood was seeping out of it past my hoof and was dripping on the floor now, creating a large blood pool under me. I jumped high into the air despite my state of being and landed on Nightmare Moons head dead on centre. "Take that bitch." I say as I backflip to the ground, wincing in pain from my wound.

Nightmare Moon had already subdued my friends and held them captive, she laughed harshly and readied a magic bolt which hit its target dead on. Nightmare Moon laughed again and said, "Oh what's the mater Midnight? I thought you would like eternal night!" She yelled in her equestrian voice, "WERE YOU LYING WHEN YOU SAID THAT?!" Her voice shook the castle violently, despite being in the basement.

Although for what she did not know, the marking on my left hoof started to glow when she blasted me with the magic bolt which gave me energy. Focusing deeply, I used my energy stored up and blinked behind her without using a single bit of my unicorn magic, which was startling to her, although I just grinned and said, "What? Never seen a pony who can blink before?" I say as I nail her in the head again with another jump, dazing her.

"Ugh... I'm not done yet..." She said as she charged me this time with her horn lowered and aimed at my heart which was beating fast, she laughed as she charged me, thinking I did not have a backup plan.

I waited until the right moment to draw my sword and as I did, I blinked to the left one foot so the stab would miss me but so she was just in range to get sliced by my sword, and as I closed my eyes, I heard the sound of flesh and armour getting damaged heavily. The noise made me smile and I said aloud, "Never think one has no backup plan." I say as I drive my blade into her back with the tip denting her armour on the other side, though the blow would not kill her.

"AGH!!!!!!!" Nightmare Moon screamed in anguish as she collapsed to the floor with blood pooling everywhere, as she watched her blood flow she noticed that the floor was drenched in blood and that she was about to die even though she was not.

"WHATS GOING ON HERE!?!" Twilight yelled as she bolted in just to get completely shocked at all the blood on the floor, Nightmare Moon lying there helplessly, and me holding a blood-stained sword. Twilight basically lost it and grabbed me with her magic, "WHAT DID YOU DO TO LUNA?!" She screamed in my face while shaking me.

"Stabbed her, duh." I replied cooly as I trotted over to Nightmare Moons bag and got the key to the jail cell and made my way over to it casually. I unlocked the door and opened it with a loud creek emitting from it which pained my ears badly, but what I saw was my friends, Discord AND the Pure Heart which Timpani was holding close to her chest.

When Timpani saw me she dashed over to me and locked me in a crushing hug while crying into my chest while saying, "I was so worried!" She was balling her eyes out as she hugged me, trying to comfort both me and herself, when she looked up to me she smiled and leaned up to me and kissed me, her cheeks bright red as she put the Pure heart up to my chest and she moved my hoof onto it. "Take what's rightfully yours Midnight." She said to me with a smile.

"Thank you Timpani, and also as I vowed long ago, I won't rest until your safe where I failed to save your mother..." I dully reminded myself as I remembered back then when I was imprisoned for false murder. My eyes welled up with tears as I started crying myself, but my crying was a lot more stronger then hers in the long run.

She hugged me tightly saying, "It's going to be fine Midnight, just forget about back then." She said to me calmly.

I smiled and held the Pure Heart up high, revealing that I have gotten the second Pure Heart out of eight of them. I lowered it and put it in my bag with the first one and along with my group, left the basement.

Twilight was watching the whole thing, "So he was not lying when he said he was collecting them." She said as she turned her attention to Nightmare Moon, who was now Luna again. "I'm sorry Luna, he did not know about you at all." Twilight apologized to Luna.

"It's fine Twilight Sparkle. We shall inform our sister of this matter." Luna said to Twilight, saying, ""We will stop him from getting the pure hearts if it is the last thing we do." Hey eyes glaring as she said it.
