“Okay, let’s clear something up. One, I didn’t live in Ponyville before I got my Element of Harmony. I lived in Appledam, which is also on the edge of the Everfree Forest. Two, I moved to Ponyville, because my mom, Golden Bloom the famous model, thought it, ‘would not only be good for my job, but it would also be good for you dear’”. Well, Ponyville is a nice place and the locals are nice as well. Also, although I haven’t met Zecora yet, she sounds like a nice pony. So, now that that’s cleared up, let’s talk about, not only my first day in Ponyville, but also my first day at Ponyville’s school".
( That morning )
“Mom”? I said.
“Yes dear”?, Asked my mom, Golden Bloom.
“Do I have to go to school”?
“Yes, yes you do. Why, what’s wrong sweetheart”?
“Nothing. I just heard about two fillies named Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. I heard they’re bullies there, and, you know, I’m new and the new kids usually get bullied”.
“Well, seeing as you’re the daughter of one of Equestria’s most famous mare models, I don’t think you getting bullied is a high chance.”
“Ya, I guess you’re right on that.” I said, slightly blushing.
Then mom said, “We’re here my little sprout”!
“Mom! I told you not to call me ‘Sprout’ anymore! I’m not a baby, I’m 13”!
“Oh fine. Have it your way.”
My mom was right, we were at the school, but it was definitely smaller than my last school. It was nice and simple though. I also noticed… A pink ringer in the school bell? It suddenly started giggling.
“What the…”
Then a pink pony, with pink poufy hair, and 3 balloons as a cutiemark sprang out from the bell screaming, “Boo!”
“Hi! I’m Pinkie Pie! Ponyville’s personal party pony, as well as the Element of Laughter! You pegasi must be new around here. Know what that means…? A “Welcome To Ponyville” party”!
Then she sprinted off, saying something about making some cake, cupcakes, and muffins.
“I thought I recognized her.” I said
“Ya, me too.” Said my mom
“Ok honey, I’ll see you after school. If I’m not at home, look at Sugarcube Corner, or the Boutique. Got it”?
“Ok mom. I’ll see you later”!
I waved my hoof good-bye as she flew away, waving hers’. As I waked in to the schoolhouse, everything was completely silent and all eyes were on me. All the mares and colts in the class must of recognized my mom and saw her outside. I saw two fillies, their eyes twinkling, a light pink mare with a white and light pink mane, a diamond tiara on, and a cutiemark of a diamond tiara. The other one, which was sitting next to her, was grey, with a grey braided mane, and had on glasses and a necklace. Her cutiemark was a fancy silver spoon.
“Oh no.” I said quietly
“Hi”! Said the pink one with a tiara. “I’m Diamond Tiara. This is Silver Spoon.” She said pointing her hoof at the grey filly with glasses, who waved at me.
“Hi, I’m BudderBloom.” I said in reply
“Was that pure white, golden maned pegasus your mom”? Asked Silver Spoon
I nod. “Yes she was. Why”? Like I didn’t know the answer.
“Because she’s the world most famous pegasus model! Duh”! They said in unison
“I was expecting you to say that” I say with a forced grin.
“Well, if you need any help since you’re the new kid, ask us anytime.” Said Diamond Tiara
“Ya, thanks” I say as I sit next to a red and black, spikey maned ,red pegasus colt, with a scythe as a cutiemark. But, what interested me was that he had a chain necklace like mine, but his had his cutiemark on it, made of garnet. Then, who I’m guessing is the teacher, comes in.
“Hello Class”! She says in a bright sunny voice.
“Hello Ms.Cheerille”! says the whole class, with the exception of me.
“I hope you all had a wonderful summer, but now it’s back to school time. Also, we have a new student joining us this year!”
She looks at me and asks me to come to the front and tell everypony about myself.
“Well” I start. “My name is BudderBloom, and before I came to Ponyville, I lived in Appledam. I’m 13, and as you can see, I’m a pegasus. My mom is Golden Bloom, who you might know is one of Equestria’s most famous pegasi models. Also, my favorite hobby is practicing my swordmareship. That’s really all you need to know about me then I guess.”
“Thank you Ms.Bloom. I hope you learn lots of new things in the time you live in Ponyville.” Says Ms.Cheerille
I say thank you and when I head back to my seat, the red pegasus notices my necklace.
“Nice necklace” He says “My name’s Apocal. Mind if I can talk to you during recess”?
“Ya, as long as it’s not about my mom” I say sarcastically
“Ok, I promise it won’t be about your mom unless just about it’s what she’s like.” Says Apocal.
“I can roll with that” I say shrugging.
Until recess we did some pretty fun stuff. Like crosswords, and different crafts. We could even draw a picture of what might happen during the school year. But it was finally recess.
“Ok class! Time for recess"! Shouts Ms.Cheerille. Everypony raced out the door, shoving each other. When I went outside and I spotted Apocal near the back of the school, waving me over there and smiling a bit. But, unfortunate for me, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon spotted me.
“Hi Budder Bloom”! They said in unision.
“Hi, guys” I said faking a smile.
“What’s Apocal want with you? Do you already have a coltfriend?” Diamond Tiara said dreamily.
“No” I say plainly and unfazed.
“He said he want to talk to me for something”
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon giggled.
“That probably means he’s gonna ask you!” says Silver Spoon giggling very hard now.
“He probably just wants to ask what my mom is like. I’ll talk to you guys later, okay?”
“Ok fine” Says Diamond Tiara.
“But you better tell us if he does ask you out Bloom” Says Silver Spoon.
“Ya ya, sure” I start to walk over to Apocal and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walk in the opposite direction, gossiping while they and smirking evilly at 3 fillies, a earth pony, a unicorn, and a pegasus, that have no cutiemark.
“Ok, so what did you want to talk to me about?” I say, some-what glaring at him.
“I want to know how you got that necklace” He says, pointing at my element. So I tell him what I told all of you before, because I had the feeling I could rely on him not to tell anypony.
“Hm. I thought as much as it being an element” He says matter of factly. “And from what you say as to how you got it, I think it would be called something like, ‘The Element of Bravery’, or somethin’ on those lines.”
“I think you hit it pretty much right on the nail” I say thinking the name through.
“Hey Bloom!”
“For dear Celestia’s sake…” I say under my breath.
“You’re not really friends with those 2 are you?” Asks Apocal.
“No, I’m just acting so they won’t be all snobby towards me” I respond
“Okay, well I’ll talk to you later then ‘Bloom’” He says smirking evilly.
“Hey Bloom! Are you done talking yet?!” Asks Diamond Tiara
“Ya!” I yell back “I’ll be right there!”
“See ya Apocal”
“See ya” He waves bye.
“So, did he ask you out?” Asks Silver Spoon dreamily
“No. My hunch was right. He just wanted to know what my mom is like”
“Well I guess it does make sense seeing as you just came to Ponyville and everything” Says Diamond Tiara
“Since it’s the end of the day do you want to walk home with us, or us walk home with you?” asks Diamond Tiara.
“Nah. My mom my not be at home and I have some other stuff to do” I say as I put on my saddlebag.
“Okay. But maybe tomorrow or something.” Says Diamond Tiara as she and Silver Spoon put on their saddlebags.
“Ya, you can ask your mom this time” responds Silver Spoon with a nod.
“I’ll see you guys tomorrow then” I say as we part ways, me heading towards the Boutique.
I sigh in relief once they’re out of earshot.
“Never knew I could act that long. Sometimes I surprise myself”
