//-------------------------------------------------------// My Pet Apple -by CurveBall- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Discovery //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Discovery The only thing I had left was my motorcycle. It was my only part in transportation. I had started living on my own about a month ago and I could tell you, it's not as easy as it sounds. I had bills to pay, go shopping every week, wake up early for work, a lot to do. With Christmas coming up, it didn't really help at all. I had to go out and buy Christmas decorations as part of a law in this state. The streets were cleared, but the lawns were all covered in white sheets of snow. It had snowed around 4 inches over night. The date was December 23, 2014 and things were looking good for me, despite the amount of responsibility I had. I hopped on my motorcycle and put in the key, twisted it, and heard the engine rumble. I smiled at the noise it made and cranked the handle bar. I stepped on the pedal and rode out of my garage, and onto the street. I felt the crisp, cold air on my face as I raced through the streets, waving at people I passed by with the very casual, "Merry Christmas" every now and then. I looked to my left and saw at least 7 kids having a snowball fight, I knew those kids. "Hey Harold, mind if I join?" I called to a little 12-year old boy with a puff ball hat on with dark red snow jacket, and camouflage colored snow boots. "Sure Mike!" He called back and immediately, all seven kids had pelted me with snowballs. I drove my bike to the side of the road and let down on the ground. I quickly jumped behind a pile of snow on the other side of the street. I looked to check if I was at someone's lawn, but I was in luck, I was taking cover by a park. I took a pile of snow from the ground and started to crush it and form it into a ball. I quickly came up from behind cover and hurled the ball at Thomas, one of the kids. It pelted him in the leg and I got behind cover. I guess years of pitching practice in baseball can help you in other situations. I took a nothing helping of snow looked up from behind cover and threw it at Harold, their leader. He made a dramatic dying scene and we all laughed. I ran over to the group and we all high fived. "Do you see the new episode of My Little Pony yesterday Mike?" I heard Chris ask. The members of the group were Harold, Antonio, Chris, Thomas, John, Larry, and Mick. We were all huge bronies, actually, we had all met on an MLP chat site. "It wasn't bad nor good." I replied to him as only three others agreed. "The whole episode was about Fluttershy so, I give it a 3 out of 5." I said and soon, they all agreed. "Nah, I ain't see it yet." Pointed out Mick. He was without a doubt the biggest of the group. He had blonde hair, and was wearing only a jacket and boots, no hat. "I recorded it and I'm gonna watch it when I get back." I looked at my watch and my eyes widened, 9:30, I was late for work. My job was simple, all I had to do was sit behind a desk and look at possible new players for the MLB (Major League Baseball). "Listen guys, I gotta go scout. Any of y'all wanna come." I asked and Harold spoke up. "I'll go, I just have to be home by five." The others said their goodbyes, and left for their homes. I took a helmet out of the back bag in my motorcycle and handed it to Harold. He took it and strapped it on. "Where are we going today?" He asked. "Ah, I heard a few minor league players were in need of scouts. I volunteered and I have to be there in an hour." I told him and he nodded. I did the ignition progress again and drove off into the clear road. It had taken us a few minutes to reach the outside of town. We lived in a small town so travel would take only a few minutes. I looked back at him and he asked a question, "So, what's wrong with Fluttershy?" I chuckled. "I just don't see her as being a favourite character. Opinions are opinions, aren't they?" I asked him. "Well yeah, but she is really good with animals. If I had a wild bear in my house, I'd wish she were there." He replied. "We live in a suburban area. I highly doubt there would be any animals here." I said and he rolled his eyes. After a few more blocks, which had no buildings or trees on them, passed by, Harold pointed out something. "Hey look dude it's a box, it says 'find a good home'." He looked at me with enthusiasm. "Wouldn't it be cool if it were like that fanfic me, you, and Mick read that had the filly Rainbow Dash?" I chuckled and looked at him. "I wish that would happen." I said and started up my bike, but I heard a girlish gasp come from inside the box. We looked at each other and Harold got off the bike to go check it out. "Is it a Rainbow Dash?" I asked sarcastically. He gave me a "really?" look and laughed. He opened the book and I saw his eyes widen and the gasp again. "Well?" "Its not a Rainbow Dash." He said in awe. "Its..." He started. "Wait, who was your favourite pony again?" He asked. "The Cutie Mark Crusaders, why?" He looked back at the box and pulled out what was inside. My eyes widened at what he pulled out. Lying there in his arms, was a much too young Apple Bloom. "Holy shit dude!" I said. "How do we know if it's not a dog or something?" He asked me. "Dude, look at its eyes." He looked at Apple Bloom again and saw it had identical eyes compared to the one on the show. Golden brown with a hint of orange. "Lets take it back to my place and clean it off. If it were fake, the paint would come off." He looked at me. "What about your scouting?" He asked looking me. The Apple Bloom fell asleep in his hands as he asked this. My choice was clear. "I'll ask to reschedule, hop on!" I tell him. He ran over to the bike, lied the Apple Bloom down in the back bag, and clicked his helmet. We then drove off for my place. It only took about the same amount of time to get back as it did to get to the box we had found, so we were at my house in no time at all. As soon as we got in, I called up the player and told him there has been a problem and that the scouting would be next week, same time. I hung up and walked over to Harold and the Apple Bloom. She looked up at me shivered in fear. I placed my hand on her mane and messed it up playfully. I noticed that she did not have her signature bow on her. She had worn that thing everywhere. "What do we do first?" He asked me and I looked at him. "We bathe it, maybe call over the guys if they're not busy." Apple Bloom looked up at us and used our conversation as a distraction to slip away. She had whimpered as she tried to stand up and and walk, but it looked as if she was too young. We noticed this and I scooped her up. She probably knew how much her looks made her cute, because she looked up at me with those adorable eyes. I shielded my eyes and I felt her trying to move them away. I laughed at this and turned her around so I could put my arm down from my eyes. "Get a bucket from my garage, we'll bathe it and see what happens." He ran off to go get a bucket and I looked at the adorable little filly. It was trying to get out of my arms. I was surprised at how small and weak she was, it made me chuckle. Soon, Harold came up with the bucket and I poured warm water inside. I picked up the squirming Apple Bloom and placed it down in the bucket. At first she was scared, but she got used to the water and giggled as she splashed around in it. We both laughed at how cute it was. We waited about 15 minutes before she reached to me and I pulled her out. I grabbed a towel from a rack next to me, it was a kitchen rag, but the only thing big enough, and rapped it around her. As soon as I let go, she fell and her hooves spread out. She looked at us whining and I helped her up. "Its definitely real." I said overjoyed. "But, why would a baby Apple Bloom be here of all places." I questioned. Harold answered. "Maybe it's like in the fanfiction?" "Yeah, more likely." I replied. "Who's house will it stay at?" "Yours." Answered Harold. "My mom would never allow pets in the house." He said with a groan. "I do have a spare room." I said thinking. "I guess she could stay here. She squealed from the rag and fell again. We both laughed and I picked her up. "I guess I'll be heading home." Harold said running towards the door. "I'll get the guys tomorrow!" He yelled as he ran out. I yelled goodbye and with that, the door closed. I looked down at the Apple Bloom in my arms and smiled. This was amazing! Author's Note Here is a series I would like to be popular. As you all might know, it was inspired by "My Little Dashie" fanfiction. I'll make the second chapter ASAP. See you guys next time!!! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: First Day //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: First Day I had taken the day off from work to watch over Apple Bloom. She wasn't as energetic as in the show, but she was very curious. Harold and his friends had gone to school so I'd have to wait until 3:00. I decided to see what I could get from this filly as approached her room. I cracked open the door and peeked inside. Apple Bloom was spinning in circles, watching her flank, like she did in "Call of the Cutie". I smiled with warmth as I watched her. Then I realised something, she was standing on her own tw- er... four hooves. I walked over to her and when I started moving, she quickly turned away and ran under the bed. I wouldn't blame her for being scared. I was just some random guy who she doesn't know. "Its ok Apple Bloom, I won't hurt you." I say getting to comfort her. She didn't budge. She looked at me with cute eyes, probably hoping her cuteness would free her, but I was smarter than the ponies in the show. I shielded my eyes when she tried it and laughed when I heard her whine. "Come on Apple Bloom, do you want to play?" She looked at me and looked around at her surroundings. I then heard her stomach growling and felt mine do the same. "Come on, why don't we get something to eat." She looked at me and smiled, wagging her tail. She slowly and hesitantly crawled out from under the bed and watched me as she passed me, which caused her to run into a wall. I chuckled and opened the door to let her out, again, she didn't budge. "Come on Apple Bloom. Do you want to eat or no?" I said getting a little annoyed. She slowly trotted out the door and I heard her go down the hallway. I looked over at the bed, the spare bed I decided to put in for guests. Right now, she was a guest. I walked back out the door, and into the hallway. As I passed by, I smiled at the pictures on the wall. A couple pictures of me, and quite a bit of my family. I took a quick peak in the hallway bathroom, making sure she didn't go in there, before proceeding. I got in and immediately, I saw flour everywhere. I spotted some crushed apples on the floor, and well as on the counter. I even saw two boxes of cereal spilled out on the floor. She looked at me and started to cry. I looked in a window that was above the sink and saw my reflection. My face was red and crossed. I looked really mad, but I didn't feel mad. I looked back at the crying Apple Bloom on the floor. She had a spot of flour on her head. I walked over and picked her up. She squirmed in my arms and attempted to kick me. I looked at the calender and saw the date, the 23rd. Christmas was in a couple days and I had a baby, not a filly, a baby Apple Bloom. I thought about celebrating Hearth's Warming day instead, but I had to have to Christmas decorations up before tomorrow. Luckily I decided to put them up earlier in the week, but it cost me money. I thought about what I could do with this filly and what she did for fun. Then, I froze, there was only one thing she would to do for fun was... crusading. How could I do that with her? I couldn't possibly grab Scootaloo or Sweetie off the street, could I? I walked into the living room and sat her down on the couch. I turned on the TV and, to my luck, an MLP episode which didn't have the CMC on it. I went into the kitchen, ignoring the mess I got a few apples from the fridge, put them in a bowl, and smashed them up. They turned into a bowl of applesauce and I took the cores out, thinking she would eat them. I brought out the applesauce and placed it next to Apple Bloom. She smiled with delight after took her first bite, and continued to eat it until we heard a knock at the door. I told her to stay there while I went to check the door. To my surprise, it was Harold. "Hey dude, I ditched school so I could see what our little friend was up to." I allowed him in and he saw Apple Bloom attacking the applesauce I had given her. "Man, so she really does like apples." She looked up at us and continued eating until the bowl was gone. "Doesn't she seem old enough to talk? Well why isn't she?" He asked. "I don't know but- hey look!" I said pointing to the TV. Apple Bloom had her smiling face pressed up against the screen as she watched Applejack buck trees with Twilight asking to help her. "She might not be able to talk, but she can remember things from her world." "A-a-applej-jack." She muttered out in her cute southern voice. I looked at Harold and he looked at me. She still remembered her sister. She looked up at me and smiled, I smiled back. "Well, I see she's ok. Might as well go turn myself into my parents." He said before waving goodbye and walking out the door. I closed the door and looked over at Apple Bloom. If she had memories of her family, did she have them of her friends? "Say Apple Bloom, do you know anything about Scootaloo or Sweetie Belle?" I asked and she looked up at me with a wide smile. "S-s-s-scoot." She said with a happy face. "S-scoot, Scoot!" She shouted happily. She began to jump up and down around the living room, saying Scootaloo's nickname. I smiled as I felt warmth go through me and thought about how lucky I was to have the real Apple Bloom. Then I thought hit me, she can't learn if she doesn't go outside. I pulled a scarf off the coat hanger and rapped it around her neck. She snuggled at how cozy it was and I picked her up, put her in my jacket, and I walked out the back door. I saw everything I had in the backyard, a covered up pool, a tree with a swing on it's branch, and two tables next to the house. I walked over to the swing, pulled her out of my jacket, and set her down on it. She held on to the swing and smiled as I pushed her. I took baby steps because I didn't want her to fall off and get hurt. "H-higher!" She commanded me with a smile. I held onto the ropes of the swing and pushed her higher, earning a "weeee" from the filly. I couldn't stand how cute she was. She looked over and saw a fountain that had been turned off for the winter and she motioned for me to help her over there. I did so as I picked her up off the slide and down in the fountain. She walked around in the circle surrounding an angel. She had done this for a while, about 30 minutes or so, before climbing out and trotting over to the covered up pool. I wasn't worried about falling in, she was however, as light as a pillow or something. But if she did fall in, I wouldn't be able to help her. "Apple Bloom do you know how to swim?" The farm pony turned around and shook her head, so I grabbed her before she could walk into the covers. It was noon now and I had just fed her an apple pie I made out of a cook book. She was obviously happy to receive it, she practically ate it whole. I thought about the missing accessory on her head. Maybe I could tie pink string together and give her it? I decided that was probably the best answer, so I went downstairs, with her following me, and pulled out a pink string. I tied it together and in the end, it had two loops, much identical to the one in the show. I handed it to her and she took it cautiously, and put it on. She looked in a mirror leaning on a wall and smiled. She now looked cuter than ever. Author's Note I can see this isn't really popular, but I don't care, it's your opinion not mine. See you guys next time!!!
