Walking on a bumpy old road, a dragon pulled a cart along behind him. The dragon was tall, but he was the size of a "teen" aged dragon. He was out of breath, and looked like he hadn't slept in a week. Yawning he stopped to scratch his back me smiled at his passenger, a Threstral by the name of Frost, who was also his daughter.
Looking ahead he saw a small town which from his map said Ponyville for it's name. It'd been two months of sea travel, and three weeks of walking from town to town, resting in nearby caves, and hunting for fresh meat for his daughter to eat. He was hungry yes, indeed he was, but luckily dragons can got without food for a thousand years at most. Their long hibernations would slow down their body, nearly putting them on the brink of death after a thousand years. Any day after that would take eight whole kingdoms to regain their full strength, but that hasn't been in three thousand years.
The dragon's name was Sivyer, he was dark red with orange wing folds. His horns where a lighter orange color as well. He was ten feet long, and his wing span was twelve feet across, and three feet wide from the middle of the wing. His height on all fours was six feet, two inches. His daughter's coat was dark blue, almost black, and her mane was a light shade of blue, looked like ice. She was eight years old and is small of her size, like Sivyer, he was as big as he was going to get, and being the "runt of the litter",as it were. To have the ice blue mane as a Threstral was not wanted, and most were abandoned. They were left off to be eaten, or taken and sold as slaves on the black market. They went for higher princes on the sex traffic market.
He continued to walk on as Frost woke up. Rubbing her left eye she saw that her father was tired, and hadn't slept in a week trying to get to the town faster so she could live a new life.

"Fod los bo wah gaav til bormah? Hi frolok laagus." Frost asked.
"Mu fen bo das. Son fein fifteen jazbaar waan Zu'u dein ahst daar pace."Sivyer replied with a weak smile. It looked worn down, or over used. It was a smile kept shown to her so she wouldn't worry. "Praan, ahrk nii fen mot kuz lingrah."
"Geh, bormah..." Frost said closing her eyes and falling back asleep quickly. It was daytime, so there wasn't a reason for her NOT to sleep.

Sivyer's smile dropped, as he trudged along the cobblestone road. The wooden wheels bumped up from time to time, but it was a good old cart. It lasted this long, and the week of non-stop travel wouldn't have helped it. None the less, it was a good cart. He bought it with what gems he had left to eat. There was no chance in Tartarus he was going to let Frost walk a thousand miles.
Sivyer was long away from his home, leaving it far behind him, and in the back of his mind. He chose to forget it, because of the dark foul secrets. Secrets that left him to run away because he couldn't stand by and watch his tribe do dark things. His home cave was across the Celestial Sea, in a mountain range called Dracoridge Mountains. A name he tried to forget knowing he would never get to.
As he started to enter Ponyville, already ponies were running inside. Sivyer had an idea why they were fleeing, and it might have been right. He had his eyes set on the center of the town, where it had a large building that might have been the town hall. Hopefully, then he could get some sleep in an inn, or a spare room. Somewhere that wasn't in the middle of nowhere.

"Fey het Fo, ahrk dreh ni tinvaak wah naangein. Mindoraan?" Sivyer asked Frost. Frost sleepily nodded and continued to sleep softly. Sivyer unhooked himself from the cart ropes and walked up the stained marble steps.

Sivyer walked up the steps and entered the building. Ponies who were working stopped, staring at him with wide eyes. Rainbow colored eyes glared at him with shock, fear, and confusion. He walked on, looking at the ponies with a smile meant to look honest. After walking into a room that said "office" on the door, Sivyer came eye-to-eye with an old looking pony.
He cleared his throat, letting out a tiny bit of black smoke. Smiling he began to speak what words he knew in Equestrian.
"Mmmmm...I...can't....speak....well...would.....Like to...buy...a...h-house..." He gave himself a nod of self approval, and waited for the pony to respond.
The mare shook in place, unable to move in the slightest way. Out of fear she yelped loudly, running out of the room. Sivyer fell to the ground in sadness, but he refused to give up. Standing he walked out as ponies ran ahead of him screaming. However, when he exited the building he saw two ponies grab Frost.
"S-STAY....A-aw-ay!" He shouted, flying to grab the bat pony. He rested her on his back and stared down at a cyan pegasus, and a lavender alicorn. He blew smoke on them and rest Frost back on the cart. "G-go!" He shouted at them.
"Let that pony go!" Rainbow Dash yelled flying to grab Frost. However her plan failed, and Sivyer grabbed her tail. "Hey! Now let me go!"
"I...I...keep...bat...sa-a-fe." He smiled again. "Not...hurt...pony......hmmm....She...d-d-daughter...."
The alicorn walked carefully towards Sivyer and stopped a few feet away from him. "You're not from Equestria are you?" She asked.
Sivyer shook his head. "No...from.....no word...."
"You understand us, but can't speak well huh?"
"Y-yes, I....learn...words....from....book..." He dropped Rainbow Dash and grabbed a Daring Doo book from the cart. He gave it to the alicorn. "Favorite..." He smiled.
Twilight snickered and showed Rainbow Dash who also snickered. "So, what brings you to Equestria...ummm...what's your name?"
"Sivyer...I keep....pony safe..." He said. "I walk... for.... many weeks.....over the ocean of sun."
"Oh!" She got closer to him. "You're from across the Celestial Sea!?"
"WE...are..." He answered. "What is pony's name?"
"I am Twilight Sparkle, and this is my friend Rainbow Dash."
Sivyer nodded. "Twilight...Sparkle, a-and Rainbow...Dash...." He repeated. "Rainbow...Dash...sorry if...hurt you...keep, pony safe..." He pointed his claw at Frost who was sleeping in the cart. "Bat...is....daughter,....eight...rotations..."
"She's your daughter?" Rainbow Dash asked. "But she's a threstral! Not a fire-breathing dragon!"
"Ad...top..ted.." He tried to say. "She...small...kept...fed..."
Twilight looked over at the pony sleeping in the cart. "What's her name?"
"Frost...name is...Frost..."
Twilight took a moment to study Frost. She was small, maybe a little skinny, but from what she could understand from Sivyer, she was fed. She looked at Sivyer then back at Frost.
"What have you been feeding her?"
"Game..." Sivyer replied.
"Meat huh?" Twilight asked. "Well, looks like she's still hungry. Her ribs a kind of show." She walked closer to Frost and could tell it was as close as she could get without being turned to dust. Smoke flew out of Sivyer's snout so she backed up a couple of steps. "How long have you two been traveling?"
Sivyer thought for a moment. "Three month...two...no...three weeks." He nodded. "Two months...spent on a boat."
"Any reason why you're in Ponyville?"
Sivyer nodded with a smile. "Yes...Looking for....home to...live...yes, to live."
Twilight thought for a moment, then realized that no pony was walking around outside. Most likely because of Sivyer, but it didn't really matter. What mattered was fulfilling the dragon's wish.
"I suppose you could go to Apple Jack's barn to sleep for a few nights. There you could get at least some sense of the word home, but the problem is getting her to agree. You're a dragon after all, and the only one she likes is my assistant Spike..."
"Nox hi! Hi los dii kogaan!" Sivyer lifted Twilight into the air in between his arms and hugged her tightly.
"What did you say?"
"Thank...you! You...my...blessing!" He replied. "Who...Apple...Jack?"
"Oh, she's another one of my friends, maybe you'll be able to meet the rest when you get your own house."
Sivyer nodded and tied himself back to the cart. "We...go...now?" The dragon asked with a hopeful smile.
Twilight turned to Rainbow Dash, who was fixing her messed up feathers and whispered something Sivyer couldn't hear intoher hear. Rainbow Dash nodded with a wink and bolted into the sky heading east to Sweet Apple Acres.
"Where?"
"She's going to tell Apple Jack to expect you and your daughter, Sivyer." Twilight replied. "Come on, let's get going."
Apple Jack bucked a tree, and apples began to fall into four baskets. She smiled as she watched the ripe red, green, and light yellow apples fall. Once all the ripe apples stopped falling she heard somepony approach her. Turning around the apple farmer saw Rainbow Dash with a rather questionable look on her face.
"Hey'a Rainbow! What's up?" She asked wiping away the sweat from her brow.
"Nothing much really, but I need to tell you something Twilight told me to tell you so you wouldn't freak out when you saw him," Rainbow said kicking her hoof.
"Alright, so who's comin'?"
"See earlier a dragon came into Ponyville with a Threstral in a cart. He's not from Equestria, and by what I could understand he's a long way from home."
"Seeing how he's in Equestria, ah don't see how he wouldn't be far." Apple Jack interrupted.
"Anyways, Twilight's taking him over here to speak to you about living in your barn for a couple of weeks."
"Now ah can't just let a dragon come in and sleep in mah barn now Rainbow. How big is he?"
"Just a little taller than Celestia, maybe...." Rainbow Dash looked over towards the entrance to Sweet Apple Acres. "Just hear him out you never know...he might be able to help you..."
"We'll just have to see, for now , ah need to see this dragon for myself before I say anything. How about that?"
Rainbow Dash nodded with a content smile. "See ya later AJ, I need to collect some clouds for the next spring storm."
Apple Jack tipped her hat. "Nice talk'n to yah again RD!"
Rainbow Dash waved her hoof as she flew off towards a cluster of clouds over the Everfree forest. Apple Jack thought for a moment then started to wonder how the other apples would respond to this news. It would be a good idea to quit working to tell them, but she was already behind after Tirek almost wiped out her farm. Almost half of the trees where destroyed and some of them were dying. A huge loss, but it was something she was used to. After Discord, then the fruit bats, she'd become used to the fact that strange would happen sometime or another.
After a few minutes, she bucked another tree as she thought. A dragon living in her barn would cause some trouble for sure, but Rainbow Dash might've been right. Maybe the dragon might be some use, and if he has a threstral with him they could guard their Zap apple trees against any thieves. The more she thought about it, brought more ideas for the dragon to do. With his size maybe he'll be able to pull the reins on their dirt plow and take fewer trips to the market in town to add more apples to the stand while she was selling them. A smile grew on her face.
" 'Ight, let's see this dragon fella." She said to herself walking back to her house.
It wasn't long after Apple Jack was able to explain to the other apples that a dragon was visiting their orchard. With little panic from Apple Bloom and Granny Smith, they accepted the visit and future business boost. The choice was on Apple Jack to decide whether or not he could stay.
A knock was at their front door, and from the window, they could see the dragon. Big Mac pulled Apple Jack away from the window with fear across his face.
"Now sis, ah don't think he could stay here." Big Mac said looking outside once more. "He might be dangerous..."
Apple Jack rolled her eyes. "Come on Mac, it's like ya haven't seen a dragon before."
"Because ah hadn't AJ, just be careful."
"Ah'll be 'ight, besides Twilight's with him."
Apple Jack pulled her hoof away from her older brother and walked outside to meet the two newcomers to Ponyville.
"This...Apple Jack?" Sivyer asked.
"Yes, good Sivyer." Twilight smiled. "Hey AJ, this is Sivyer the dragon, he's from outside of Equestria. I don't know where though. I don't think he knows how to translate it yet."
"So he can't speak Equestrian? How weird..." Apple Jack said. "Nice to meet ya Sivyar!"
Apple Jack didn't know what, neither did Twilight, but Sivyer picked up Apple Jack by her throat and blew smoke into her face angerly.
"Don't...say...that name...again!" Sivyer shouted. "My...name...SIV-YEAR, not SIV-YARE!"
Twilight teleported Apple Jack out of the dragon's hand, and the farmer let out a gasp for air. "What was that for?!" Twilight asked Sivyer.
"Sivyar...brother of...me....bad...very...bad brother..." Sivyer said. He looked over at Apple Jack said lowered his head. "I...sorry for....action...I better..."
Apple Jack nodded, still trying to regain her breath. "It's mah mistake for not sayin' your name right..." Apple Jack said, trying to pin the blame on herself. In truthfulness, it was her fault, but Sivyer could've acted differently. "So, who's that pony you've got?"
"Let me explain." Twilight butted in. "They are both from outside of Equestria. The threstral in the cart is his adopted daughter, Frost. From what I can tell, they've haven't had a safe place to eat, or sleep for a few months."
Apple Jack raised an eyebrow. "Good heavens! Is this true Sivyer?"
Sivyer nodded. "Yes...but I...fine. Not...sure...about....Frost. She weak...but...alive. She sleeps to...save energy to...live...like me. But no sleep in a week. Keep walking...keep moving...stay safe..." Sister's eyes had large bags under them giving away the truth. "I find..."
Apple Jack shook her head. "You ain't fine! You look terrible! You said you ain't slept in a week?! That's no good for you!"
"Frost...Come first...then me..."
"So, do you think he can stay here AJ? Just until he gets a house?"
"Shoot I'll build him ah barn!" Apple Jack said stomping her hoof down. "You can stay until then Sivyer, but once yah got some R'n R you're working for me to pay off the supplies needed to build the barn. Deal?"
Like what Sivyer did to Twilight, he lifted her up into the air hugging the mare tightly. "Thank...you!"
He rested her on the ground, and Apple Jack dusted her hat before resting it on her head. "Next week you start to help."
"Thank you for this Apple Jack. I'll go see if I can get some papers drawn up for Sivyer." Twilight opened her wings. "See you around Sivyer!"
Sivyer waved his hand with a thankful smile. He looked over at Apple Jack. "You have... food for Frost? She...wake up soon..."
"Sure thing big fella! I'll give ya some apples as well. You do like apples don't ya."
"I eat them...Yes...sometimes..."
Apple Jack grinned. "Ah knew everyone liked apples..."

"When are we going to get there father? You look tired." Frost asked.
"We will arrive shortly. Less than fifteen minutes if I keep at this pace." Sivyer replied with a weak smile. It looked worn down, or over used. It was a smile kept shown to her so she wouldn't worry. "Rest, and it will mot take long."
"Yes, father..." Frost said closing her eyes, and falling back asleep quickly. It was day time, so there wasn't a reason for her NOT to sleep.

"Stay here Frost, and don't speak to anyone. Understand?" Sivyer asked Frost. Frost sleepily nodded and continued to sleep softly. Sivyer unhooked himself from the cart ropes, and walked up the stained marble steps.
