Dragon Tales
Family Reunion and the Dragon of the Twilight
Previous Chapter"He-He found me...." Sivyer said standing. It was clear they saw each other, despite the distance between the town hall, and Sweet Apple Acres. His wings opened wide, and he looked at Luna. "If you are truely as wise as I am Luna," He began inhaling. "You will teleport everypony in town here."
"You're asking the impossible Sivyer!" Her voice cracked. "However...." She too inhaled, and rocketed into the air. "CITIZENS OF PONYVILLE! I RECOMMEND THAT YOU FLEE WITH YOUR LIVES TOWARDS SWEET APPLE ACRES! UNICORNS AND PEGASI, PLEASE USE WHAT EVER PEGASI TO ESCAPE, AND UNICORNS TELEPORT AS MANY PONIES AS POSSIBLE!!!!!" It wasn't long until ponies started either flying or teleporting nearby. Luna smiled at her success then dawned magical armor.
Sivyer frowned at the princess. "You will not interfere princess." He said. "This is a matter between my brother and I." Sivyer closed his eyes, and his body began to glow brightly. When Luna saw it was safe to look, it was clear everypony who saw him, their jaws were hitting the floor, because what they saw was epic to most would say to level ten. On him was a set of dark blue armor ecrested with shiny gold runes. On his head was a helmet that covered his entire face. Lastly his tail, it had armor ascending up his tail, reaching a massive blade that was the size of Celestia.
Celestia had witnessed what she thought she would never see in her life, Sivyer's Lunar Crest Armor.
"Where did that come from?!" Celestia asked.
"I can live for thousands of years, and you don't think I spent many years while I was with your father learning magic?" He asked. "However you may look at it, this armor was forged by your father, and is enchanted with his lunar magic. Now cast a magic barrier to protect them."
All at once every unicorn, and the princesses poured their magic in casting any type of ranged protection over everypony. Their collective magic combining into a rainbow colored dome over them. Sivyer began walking out.
"I will protect my friends at any cost, and I will not let my brother get Frost until I breath my last flame." He took off so quickly it left a large crater infront of them.
"Good Luna Sivyer..."
Sivyer landed a short distance away from his larger brother. He's grown much, most likely using magic to make himself as large as he could hold, and still have enough to fight.
"It is nice to see you again Sivyer." He said.
"When did you learn to speak Equestrian Sivyar?" Sivyer asked, his voice low, and full of hate.
Sivyar laughed as he sat on the crushed town hall. "I killed thousands of ponies, learning those words as swiftly as you have." He explained. "However, I am not here to visit."
"I figured as much. You want your slave back?" He asked.
"I paid for her, she is mine..." Sivyar smiled devilishly, and out of nowhere dragon's descended around them, encircling them both. "And like all dragons are, I am true to my word when I said I will kill you."
"I will fight you for her!" Sivyer shouted, his anger clear as day.
"Oh, you forgot haven't you?" Sivyar began to laugh again. "I'm not going to fight you. They...are going to fight you."
"Has father ordered it?"
"We was nowhere to be found. So I took command." Sivyar pointed at himself. "Attack the runt! Show him he should not disobey orders!"
All the dragons roared all at once. The collective sound hurt his ears, but he only winced as he saw dragons flying towards him. There were twenty plus Sivyar, and the leader just stood there with a grin on his face. Then Sivyer began to spin his tail, cutting the heads off of three dragons. Their bodies impacted the buildings around him.
Then he was hit by a dragon by suprise, and flew through six buildings before the dragon stopped pushing. It watched as Sivyer began to struggle.
"You should give u-" He impaled the dragon before it could finish. Blood poured onto Sivyer as he pulled his blade from the dragon's chest. It fell to the ground, and Sivyer looked pissed. Not just "I hate this" pissed, but "You threatened the wrong father you asshole" pissed.
"Die already!" Sivyar shouted sending another wave of dragons.
Sivyer bared his teeth, and flew into the air. The sounds of dragons screaming as they slammed into each other. One was quick to recover and sent a ball of fire flying towards Sivyer. He tried moving out of it's way, but it ended up burning his arm. Turning back, he met hands with the attacker, and bit into it's neck. The dragon roared out in pain, then was silenced when Sivyer broke it's neck.
After dropping the body he counted quickly to see how many dragons remained. Luckily he'd taken care of five within the short moment, but when he looked at his older brother he saw a smug look on his face.
"You readily send our own brethren to their deaths?!" Sivyer shouted at his brother, but it was like talking to a wall. While he glared at his brother another dragon flew into him, and bit through his armor. He grunted as teeth penetrated his armor, and began to cut into his side. Already he felt like he was tired. Using a great deal of energy dodging the attacks, but he couldn't give up. He blasted his hottest fire into the face of the dragon, burning it's eyes. The flames dug deeper and the dragon screamed out in agony. Before long the dragon's grip with his mouth loosened, and he pulled the dragon off of his side. Fourteen remained.
He knew his daughter, the town, and the princesses were watching fight against odds to protect them. Already a great deal of the town was destroyed, and ponies just watched Sivyer fight.
"Sister we must help him!" Luna begged. "He's already taken blows that would kill him!"
Celestia shook her head. "You'd risk your life if you try to help Luna. I don't want to lose you forever. However, this doesn't mean I don't feel the same way. Infact I do, I wish I can help him, but our magic has no effect on dragons. Our barrier over everypony is just strong enough to hold them back, for now."
Just then there was a massive blast, with an equally massive shock wave that made the ponies struggle to keep the shield up. Celestia's eyes widened.
"That was Celestial Impact!" Twilight shouted. "How much magical energy to use that baffles me!"
"Enough to move the sun and moon at the same time I'm afraid..." Luna said. "Maybe he's more powerful than we thought..."
"He did train with father Luna." Celestia said. "And he's hundreds of years older than us, while he was banished he must of been training his magic somehow, but even then, he used a great deal of energy."
And that was true, when the smoke cleared all that remained were two badly hurt dragons, and Sivyar who lost his evil grin.
"See that brother!?" Sivyer shouted. "That is me after I allied the ponies!" He began charging his remaining energy into a compact ball into his hand. Even the aura around the town was being drawn towards him. "You made a mistake brother!"
"I don't make mistakes!" Sivyar bolted towards his younger brother, and threw him into the ground. The energy became unstable, and blew up in the process of the impact.
Sivyer used his wings to get out of the way of his brother. The dragon crashed into the ground under the assumption his younger brother wasn't quick enough to react, and his body ended up demolishing two building that somehow managed to stay standing in the devastation.
"Starting now..." His brother groaned as it stood up on it's back legs. "You've grown brother...however you will die protecting a worthless creature.
That insult carried into Luna's heart, and she had a growing hatred to the dragon. Celestia watched as her sister dawned her armor once again, this time she didn't say anything, but she didn't place her hoof on her sister's chest.
"I beg of you Tia! Please! Let me help him!"
"No."
Sivyer breathed his hottest flames once again, but Sivyar began to inhale the flames as if it were normal oxygen. This caused Sivyer to fly back in shock, then he saw his elder brother grow in size. He began to laugh at his younger brother.
"Fool! I am the strongest!" He began flying after Sivyer once again, but with the new energy he gained he flew faster than ever. He swung his hand into his brother's face, causing him to fly to the right a few dozen yards.
Sivyer tried to get up, but already his body was in pain. He fell back down when he tried, and his Lunar armor vanished. A tear slid down his face.
Get up! A voice shouted in his head. You runt of a son! Get up, and show your brother he is a fool.
I can't...I am too weak! He cried in his head.
So you won't protect the blessing? My son Sivyer, your daughter, though she is not your biological one, is in grave danger. You wish to break the vow you gave to her?
I tried father...please...I tried...
Look up!
Sivyer did and saw Frost standing in between him and his brother. "Frost...no...go on...get..."
"No!" She shouted. "You won't hurt my dad anymore you big monster!"
Sivyar laughed hysterically as he landed. "You are but a mear slave!" He smiled. "One that should've been dead years ago."
"My dad saved me!"
"And I will kill him for his betrayal, then I will do what I did to your mother." Sivyar swatted Frost away, and glared down a Sivyer.
He had struck a cord that most would think it was possible. He was a kind dragon, never wanting to hurt the weaker creatures, but now, his brother had hurt her. With a flash of light he teleported behind his brother, and dawned a new set of holy armor. It was white and red, and covered his entire body, including his wings. His helmet had two red ruby colored eyes that allowed him to see, his tail didn't have a blade at the end, but he had a large stave in his hand.
Celestia gasped out in shock as everything around her began to drop to the ground, unconscious. She had trouble herself from trying to remain awake. It was like her magic was being drained, but she felt like she wanted to sleep. The light emanating from the armor was warm as a midsummer sun.
"You have crossed so many lines brother!" Sivyer shouted in anger as her swung his stave at his brother. It hit Sivyar's chest in the center, and the large dragon was pushed him back a quarter of a mile. "There is a reason why I became Luxacord's dragon! He saw power not even our father possessed! And as the dragon of wisdom, destroyer of gods of chaos, lord of the sky, I banish you to the realm of light!"
Celestia smiled. "You will save your brother from harm? No torture for a millennia?" She asked herself. "Perhaps you are as kinder than Fluttershy."
Sivyer began dreaming the raw energy around the destroyed town, fires were pulled from the ground, buildings were repairing themselves, and Frost was floating unconscious next to him. He hoped his brother would be reformed when he returned, and maybe try to apologize for his crude actions.
"Why are you sparing my life brother?" Sivyar asked, returning to his normal size as magical runes encircled his body. "I threatened everything you hold dear."
"And I am better than you, I am wiser than you." He replied. "I am above killing, and refuse to go to your level. Our brothers are home, and the few that remain here have surrendered. I am weak yes, but my heart, my mind is stronger than your's. I am sparing your life because you are my brother, and you shall return to this world of a different nature."
"What have these ponies taught you my son?" A large dragon with scales that looked as though stars were across his body. His eyes were pure white, and a slight grin was on his face.
"Father?" Both brothers said at once. The spell Sivyer was casting had stopped.
"Sivyer, what have these ponies taught you?" The dragon asked again.
"They taught me that all should be welcome, and treated as friends. That all are equal to one another!" He replied.
"Good...good...and Sivyar, what has your younger brother taught you?"
"That I am weaker than him...I let a runt beat me." Sivyar said.
"And this...runt...is sparing you?"
"He is..."
"Why?"
"Because...I am his brother..."
"Wrong..."
"Then why?"
"Because, he still thinks that there is good in you. From years of taking slaves, raping, and murdering them, you only do it once. You kill them quickly so they don't suffer anymore than they already have." The dragon smiled. "I too saw this while I was watching from the stars my son. You shall be banished with my consent, until you have worked off what you've done. Repent my son, and you will see, these ponies together, as friends, family, and combined to be a mightier army than every dragon in the world."
Sivyer began to watch as his brother's body broke apart, with every piece floating to the sky. "Where have you been father?"
"Watching the next Dragon Lord to grow into a true father of his word." The filly woke up, and her eyes widened with shock. "Do not worry little one. I am what you would call your grandfather Savlenyae, you may also call me the dragon of the Twilight. I see a future with a pony who'll love you. I cannot say who, for it'll change your future, but he is kind as your father."
"Father, why did you return?"
"So I can give you all a gift." He smiled. "My sons and daughters will now be bound to this land to protect it as Dracoids."
"Dracoids?"
"Pony dragons. They are ponies but with rules they must follow. They are to protect the ones that they bind to, and they should only use their flames to warm the hearts of the sad and broken." He explained. "They broke draconian rules as protectors of nature for attacking this town, and they are lucky they are not in tartarus for their actions. I must go now, until I return!" His wings opened wide as the last of the town was repaired. He launched into the air with one flap and was gone back into the stars.
"So, Sivyer, we saw you kill those dragons. Why'd you lie to your brother?"
"I didn't Twilight." He said. "My Lunar Armor doesn't kill, he gives the illusion of death. They only are suffering from bad headaches, and chest pains when in reality they were teleported away from Ponyville. Celestia I thought you would've explained Celestial Blast only blinds opponents, and can even slow time in that area. I used that to my advantage."
Celestia blushed. "Well, I wouldn't say that...it'd ruin the fun of Twilight not knowing."
"So, how did the blast almost knock everypony off their hooves?"
"A little extra energy to make it have more 'umph'." Sivyer laughed. "I was near death until I heard my father. He was the second generation element of kindness, so he healed me with his magic. Although, I used a great deal on the spell to banish my brother."
"That does bring up many questions uncle." Luna said. "Why did you spare him?"
"He wasn't like this a long time ago. He changed as he found out I had joined you ponies. He felt betrayed over my actions, and grew in might so that he would be stronger than me, so that one day he would be my new ruler. However, now that he is in the realm of light, I know this world is safer."
"Who knew your father was THE dragon of the Twilight!?" Twilight danced. "No wonder you have so much magic potential! The dragon of the Twilight was the second generation of the elements of Harmony. Along with Luxacord, Galaxia, King Somber, Lady Fei, and Zegros. You're the son of one of the mighty six!"
"How come you kept this from us?" Celestia asked.
"I didn't want you to worship me. I am the third generation of Kindness, not the element of Boastfulness." He joked. "I only wanted to protect the weak."
"That's a very true goal Sivyer." Luna sighed. "So what will you do now? No one is after your daughter anymore, and all the dragons that attacked Ponyville are now forced to protect this place."
"Perhaps I should return to my old home. One I haven't been in for a thousand years."
"Where is that?"
"Your old castle..."
