Twilight paced back and forward in the library of Ponyville when there is a sudden knock at the door. She trots over and opens the door. Meeting her there was Applejack, a cowpony who worked at Sweet Apple Acres.
"Ah, Twilight, what y'all need me for?" She said closing the door behind her as she trotted inside.
"I just got a letter from the princess stating that she needed you and me to appear before her as soon as possible." She said looking through a book that was leaned against a stand. Applejack got a puzzled look on her face.
"Why me?" She said with ponder. Twilight didn't answer, she was busy looking for something in the book. Suddenly, she stopped flipping through and read something. Her horn glowed a lavender shade and Applejack felt a tingling sensation going through her body. Everything went black for a minute and as soon as she could see, she was in front of a huge castle outside of Ponyville. The two were escorted in by 4 royal guards with spears and crossbows at their sides. This confused Twilight, why would they be armed with crossbows? They were escorted towards the end of a hall where a bigger alicorn stood at an alter. The two bowed and Applejack removed her hat.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle, Miss Applejack. Welcome." Said the alicorn.
"You asked for our assistance Princess Celestia?" Reported Twilight looking up from her bow.
"Yes, I was going to ask you Twilight if you remember those creatures I told you about." She said in a calm voice.
Twilight made a disgusted expression. "Those 'human beings' you described?"
"Yes, they have an army. An army beyond all beliefs. They have weapons that are strong and could take out an entire village." Celestial looked at a painting of The Elements of Harmony. "Their weapons consist of explosions so massive, that one could send Equestria into a parallel darkness." She said with a more serious tone.

Reed was doing pull ups on a bar in his stationary room when he heard his name called. His daughter Sophia was standing in the doorway. "Dad, will you help me with my homework?" She asked with her hand held together in front of her. She was an adorable little girl. She was 9 years old, long black hair, blue eyes, and about 4"5' in height.
"Sure honey, I'll be right there." It has been only months since he was put on 'minutes notice', stating he would serve again in the army if he had to. He smiled as he heard Sophia skip down the hall, singing a song from a show she watched called "My Little Pony". He put a t-shirt over his tank top and walked into her daughter's room. It was decorated with "My Little Pony" merchandise and posters. She really did like that show didn't she.
"Its a project in school about are parents jobs, and since your in the army, I thought about you." I laughed at that. She didn't know much about service in the army.
"Well, it's not really I job. I actually volunteered to do this." I said and we both laughed. "My name is Sgt. Reed. I served 12 years in the army. I'm a member of Loop Force 461." She wrote down what I said word for word and i smiled. She was a straight A student in school and I was glad to help her with what she needed.
"Ok so next we-" She was cut off by a beeping sound from my pocket.
"Reed, we need you at major centre in 30 minutes or less. You are welcome to bring your daughter. See you then." I looked up from the random call at Sophia.
"Well, apparently we are going on a field trip." I said in the easiest way possible.
"But what about my homework?"
"We'll do it when we get back. Come on, grab your coat." She stood up and walked to a coat hanger that had three coats and two of the same hat, just in case something happened to the other. She liked that hat, it had a golden star on it along with the American flag. She had gotten her purple coat on, grabbed her phone, and she ran out the door towards our car.

"Ah don't see why ah'm needed in this?" Asked Applejack with a confused look on her face as she trotted back with Twilight. Twilight tool a few minutes before answering the question.
"Maybe, she made a mistake?"
"It wouldn't be like the princess to make mistakes like that." She said looking up. "What was that about 'human beings' sugarcube?"
"Well, they're creatures that talk like us and live their day like us, but their... different."
"How different?" Asked Applejack.
"Well, they don't use magic and they can't fly without something called an 'airplane'." She said with a sudden scared expression. "And they eat mostly meat, but also eat vegetables."
Applejack looked off. "Y'all don't think Princess Celestia thought about any of them coming to Equestria do ya?"
Twilight froze. She could have been right.

I parked next to a building and Sophia looked at it. She got out of the car and I did too. The building looked like an abandoned school building, but it was actually a meeting house. I walked in holding Sophia's hand and was greeted by a guard. I showed him my badge and he let me in. I saw my old partner in the army, Private Christopher. We shook hands and headed into the meeting room. Our daughters stayed outside. His daughter, Nicole, was 9 years old, long red hair, hazel eyes, and about the same size as Sophia. They were best friends, and both had the same likes.
"Are you here for the call?" I asked looking around.
"Yeah, seems like we are the only ones." He said noticing no one else was there except us. At the time we heard a door open, we turned around to see our daughters walking in.
"Dad the doors won't open." Pointed out Sophia.
"Really?" I went to go check it out. When I got to the door that they came in from, it wouldn't budge either. We all heard a loud buzz and a pink light surround the four of us. I held Sophia close, waiting for what would happen. Then, everything went black.
