Chapter 1: From Hell to Paradise
"I think I heard something over here" a man shouted in the dark warehouse, his voice echoed around the large empty building. This was soon followed by the sound of shuffling, moving in the opposite direction of Daray. Daray let out a sigh of relief as the men's footsteps grew inaudible. He got up from where he was hiding and nonchalantly walked out of the warehouse and into the dark night of Los Angeles. As planes soaredabove him he contemplated what had just happened. He had been working on a newcase and had been closing in on the creature when those men had appeared. They hadall wielded garlic, stakes, holy water, and any other Hollywood vampire killing items youcould think of. These had not been the first men to try to kill Daray, nor would they bethe last. These guys were very poorly trained in the art of vampire hunting, but they hadnot been the most inexperienced Daray had encountered in his 300 year life. " Ugh I'm getting too old for this shit" he jokingly said out loud, even though he had the eternally youthful body of a 16 year old.
He knew there was no hope in catching and killing the creature tonight becausethe idiots who tried to kill him had probably scared it away already, well at least hehoped they had scared it away. He had been tracking a young troll living in an oldabandoned hanger of LAX, young trolls were pretty harmless but adults could killhundreds of humans easily. If the troll was out of the nest the men in the hanger wouldbe fine, but if it still had a mo-. His thought was cut short as he heard a man scream inthe hanger. "Shit" he said. He instinctively exploded into a cloud of dark matter andsped towards the hangar. The mother troll was standing over one of the men beatingher chest, ready to claim her prize. The rest of the men were huddled in a corner, anddidn't even notice Daray enter the hangar. The troll threw it's fist down with a force that
would cause the mans guts to splatter all over the walls. The man could only close his eyes and pray to God, ready to accept his fate. But the death blow never came, instead, the troll howled in pain and it's green blood splattered on the mans face. He opened his eyes to see the vampire that he had originally tried to kill, wielding a blood red sword, emitting darkness from it's blade. " You shouldn't count on a God to save you" Daray said with a dark smirk. He then jumped over the man and plunged his sword into the trolls chest. When the troll grabbed at its chest in pain, Daray, with one swift motion, decapitated the troll's head. The head rolled into a dark corner of the warehouse where a baby troll sat whining. " Sorry you had to see that little guy" Daray said, plunging his sword into the baby trolls chest.
Daray turned and looked back at the men and saw them running away and screaming bloody murder. " You're welcome" he muttered under his breath. He looked back at the two bodies and knelt down beside them. " May your energy return to the earth" Daray whispered as the two bodies were transformed into green particles and sunk into the earth. Daray smiled at the thought of having this happen to him one day, but alas he knew it would not be his time for a long time, so was the curse of the vampire.
Daray walked outside back into the cool night air, expecting to smell pollution and smog. But, he was instead greeted by a familiar and unchanging smell, the smell of blood. He looked down to see a pool of blood with all the men he had just saved lying in it. He had grown use to dead bodies over the years, but something about the cuts just didn't seem right. He looked down to investigate the bodies and try to pinpoint the cause of death.
" These cuts, they're too clean for a beast, they can only be-" a seductive voice from behind him interrupted " a vampire?"
He turned around to see a beautiful woman in a blood red dress (originally the dress had been white) bearing her long sharp fangs that were dripping with blood.
" You fucking bitch" Daray cursed at her.
" Now now, that's no way to talk to a lady" she grinned.
" After what you just did you're no lady, you're a monster" Daray growled.
"Oh but you and I are the same Daray, these men were no different than those trolls in there" she said still grinning at him.
" You damn well know that isn't true" he felt rage building inside him, the kind of rage that made him want to rip her smirk right off her face.
" I still see no difference, these men were violent and stupid so they were killed, the trolls were violent and stupid, so they were killed" she said, still keeping that same fucking grin on her face.
" You damn well know there is a difference between man and beast" his mind screamed at him to rip her throat out with his teeth, but he held back. " We can debate later Daray" she said finally letting go of her grin " the real purpose I have come here is to recruit you."
" What the hell are you talking about" he asked.
" Oh sweet little Daray, we have been watching you from since you were first bitten.You seem to be a bit too soft but we can fix that with proper training"
" WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" Daray screamed.
" Oh Daray, you know so little, I have come to recruit you for the dark army" the woman said, the grin returning to her face.
" You lost me at dark army" Daray said confused.
" Daray this world has fully fallen under our corruption, it's just no fun anymore. So my order has found a way to travel to a new universe, free of darkness and corruption, it will be so fun to burn"
Daray had heard and seen enough to know she was an evil vampire ( just like every other he had ever met), he did not care about whatever she was talking about, he, he had to keep a promise he had made to ... her so long ago, so he prepared to strike his sword.
" So what do you say, ready to jo-" her speech was cut short as Daray plunged his sword into her stomach.
But, something didn't feel right, he then realized the mistake he had made.
" Fuck a clone!" By the time he had realized that he'd been tricked she had already wrapped him in a blanket of darkness.
" What a shame, Satan would have made you a king."
Daray struggled, but knew it was hopeless to try, she was simply too powerful.
" Well do it, kill me already!" he shouted at her.
" Oh but that is simply no fun, plus I have back up plans in case you refused." Suddenly a dark portal opened behind Daray.
" What is this?" Daray asked angrily, puzzled by the portal.
" This is a portal to the other world, Satan decide it would be more fun to have some challenge in taking over that land. So if you refused I was to send you through the portal to help the Equestrians. You will have one month to prepare the world against a full scale attack, but don't worry, we'll send small raids to keep things exciting. Now, you better get busy, ta ta." With that she sent him flying into the dark portal.
Daray felt as if a semi had been parked on his chest and was slowly crushing. All around him was pure darkness. He thought about what had just happened when he talked to the strange woman, but he only cared about one word in their conversation Satan. If Satan was coming to this place, Daray would have the perfect opportunity to rip it's throat out with his teeth. But if that girl was only one of its servants, he would have to become stronger and train rigorously, and help these people create an army powerful enough to defend against the hordes of Hell. He hoped they had at least some combat experience. Suddenly the crushing pain became too intense, and he blacked out.
Luna stood on her balcony staring at her night sky. She had made another beautiful night in Equestria, too bad there was no one else to admire it with her. She was about to turn around and go to sleep, when there was a flicker of some kind of darkness in the forest below. It was small, but still big enough for her to notice. Her curiosity got the best of her and she flew down into the forest to investigate.
Daray woke up with a groan of pain " I've got to quit the binge drinking." He looked around to find he was in a forest, he must have been far out of LA. "Where am i" he asked himself. He then remembered what had happened last night, or on the night because it was still night wherever he was (if it was day he would be boiling alive). " Was all that true or simply a drunken fantasy?" He needed to find out, he got on all fours to get up, but he could only get up on all fours. " What is going on?" He noticed a small puddle of water next to him and went to see his reflection. Even after all he had seen in his life he jumped at what he saw. A pure white pony with a dirty blonde mane and fangs sticking out of its mouth was where his reflection should have been. " Have I been turned into a, a, a- "
A regal voice boomed from behind him " Identify yourself pony"
