Fruitcake in the Crystal Empire was invented as a result of an accident involving gems and crystal berries. The creator of fruitcake then made a recipe for all of his brethren and eventually the royal family to enjoy. Fast forward a thousand years later, that same recipe is found by Twilight and Azure Flame while in the massive library.
