Chapters Rainbow Dash slammed open her door. The inside of her house was dark and messy, and she wasn't in any mood to fix that. She walked in, and bucked the door shut. It slammed, and the cracked. Rainbow trudged up to her room, destroying the small vase that was sitting on her counter. When she got in her room, the first thing she did was get out her photo album. She had pictures of all of her friends in there. She skipped the Pinkie section, the Rarity section, and the Applejack section before she finally got to the Fluttershy section. She stared at the pictures of cute little Fluttershy, and began to blush. She looked through a couple more, then closed the book. She knew if she looked at one more picture she would burst into tears. Rainbow had nothing more to do, so she decided to just go to bed.
When Dash woke up the next morning, she almost forgot about Fluttershy. She was actually in a decent mood until she remembered. Then she smashed a framed picture of her when she was a filly. Rainbow trudged into the kitchen and made some toast. When the toast was done, she sat at the counter to eat. The house was so quiet that all you could hear was the crunching on the toast. When she finished, she went into the bathroom. She was looking for something. She rummaged through her closet until she finally found it. A rope. She went upstairs and began tying the rope to her fan. "Goodbye cruel world. I'll miss you, Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie, and Rarity. Please don't miss me too much." And with that, Dash put her head in the knot.

Twilight walked silently through the forest, watching her surroundings. She had decided that a walk to The Castle Of The Two Pony Sisters was just what she needed to relax. "I hope the girls are doing okay." She thought. She was actually nervous for her friends. She knew that death had a powerful effect on ponies, and could make them do terrible things. soon twilight had arrived. She trotted through the spooky castle until she reached the library. She used her magic to levitate a stack of books, then she went upstairs to go read them.
Twilight had gotten about half-way through the stack when she reached an odd looking book. It was extremely dusty, and had an odd picture on the cover. It looked like a small, glowing pearl. twilight opened up the book and began to read:
The Orb of reincarnation is a very mysterious object. It appears to be a pearl, but in truth, can bring back the dead. it is found at the end of Equestria, in a ancient ruin. twilight gasped. This was what what she needed. She could bring back Fluttershy.
"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight yelled as she soared up to the cloud mansion. She landed on the porch, and knocked on the door. "Raiiiiinbow Daaash!" Twilight heard no reply. "Rainbow...?" Twilight waited a few more minutes. "I don't have time for this!" She thought as she used all of her weight to destroy the door. Once inside, Twilight galloped up the stairs to Rainbow's room. What Twilight saw, was unbearable. She definitely was NOT prepared for this.
"Rainbow?" Twilight whispered as she carefully used her magic to take Rainbow's head out of the knot. Rainbow's body was completely loose, like a doll's. "Oh Rainbow." Twilight began to sob quietly into the bed.
"Wha...?"
Rainbow?!" Twilight's eyes shot open and her ears perked up.
"Twilight? What are you doing here?" Rainbow placed a hoof to her head. "Uggg... I have a horrible headache."
"RAINBOW!" Twilight leaped up and gave Rainbow a huge bear hug.
"Uhhh... Thanks?" Rainbow said as she hugged back.
"I need to tell you something extremely important." Twilight's face suddenly got very serious.
"Okay."
"Take a look at this". Twilight pulled out the mysterious book.
"Ewww... Twilight, why do you want to show me a weird, dusty old book?"
"Rainbow, this book might be able to bring Fluttershy back." Twilight's eyes sparkled.
At first, Rainbow said nothing. She simply stared off into space, not aware of Twilight's hoof constantly waving in her face. Soon, her eyes began to fill up with tears of joy.
"Twi... are you serious?" Rainbow's expression was obviously serious, not sure if her PFF was just pulling a prank on her.
Twilight stared at her, dumbstruck.
"Rainbow, Why would I joke about this?
"So what do we have to do to bring her back? Cast a spell? Find a potion?
"No... We have to go to the edge of Equestria to find an object called the Orb of Reincarnation."
"...The orb of reincarwhatty?"
Twilight sighed. "The Orb of Reincarnation! Apparently we have to go on this huge journey to find it!"
"Well we better start packing."
"Are you serious?" The Cyan Pegasus's voice quivered.
"Why in Equestria would I lie to you about something as serious as this?" Twilight Sparkle's eyes were filled with tears. She couldn't help it. Just minutes ago, one of her closest friends, Fluttershy, had been killed.
"But... How did this happen?"
"Well... She was walking home from the market and an out of control carriage hit her. She was already dead when the driver noticed her".
Rainbow Dash couldn't believe it. Her very first friend... her BEST friend... dead. She remembered all of the times they'd played as fillies. All of the good times they had together. The worst part was that... Rainbow never even got to say goodbye.
"Dash? Are you okay?" Twilight stared at her. Rainbow was starting to scare her. Rainbow's eye began to twitch, and now she was just staring into space.
"Huh?" Rainbow snapped out of it.
"Do you want to come over to the library? I think we all just need to face this together."
"No. I want to be alone." Rainbow snapped. She then zoomed off to her house, sobbing the whole time.

The sun had begun to dip underneath the mountains when Rainbow arrived at her cloud mansion. These were the kind of sunsets Fluttershy loved watching. Rainbow let her memories flow into her mind as she closed her eyes and remembered the day when she first fell in love with Fluttershy.
"Don't you just love watching the sunset?" Fluttershy asked, her soft and gentle voice drifting through the wind.
"Yea." Rainbow said quickly. A crimson blush began to cover her cheeks. "I hope Shy doesn't notice!"
Fluttershy scooted closer to Rainbow Dash, which made her go stiff.
"Keep your wings down!!" Her wings wanted to spring right up! Finally, she got her wings in control
Fluttershy was aware of Rainbow's wings, and giggled. Luckly, Fluttershy knew how to keep her wings in place.
Soon, the sunset had ended and the two mares were left in the chilly night.
"Well, I'd better get home." Fluttershy said as she gave Rainbow a quick hug and flew off into the night.
"Yea. Bye." Rainbow Dash was all alone on the cloud.

Rainbow's flashback ended. She sighed, remembering how happy she was, sitting up there with the most beautiful mare in the world.
