The mane six unboarded a carriage when they arrived at Manehattan harbour. It has been over a while since they've been to Manehattan, considering they had all gone at some point. They looked around for the ship they would be taking back to Ponyville, Celestia had called it "a masterpiece". When they spotted a huge ship with white and black paint, and a yellow strip going down the middle, their mouths went agape. Scootaloo jumped out of her seat and stared at the vessel with large purple eyes.
"Woah!" She exclaimed. "Is that the Titanic!?" She asked whilst staring at the steamer.
"Sure is kid, but I don't see where we board." Rainbow replied looking around. I sighed and got out of the carriage. It had been a few months since Twilight adopted when she found me sleeping in her tree. My name was Night Stream. I had a black and blue mane that reached down to my neck. I didn't have my cutie mark yet, so I was still attempting to get it. I had a pair of wings and a purple coat to go over it. I had been asked by several students if I was related to Princess Luna, the princess of the night. I had replied no to each of their questions, but I was starting to think I was. I do look identical to her, but I don't have a horn.
"When are we going inside?" Squeaked an overly excited voice with a clear voice crack. I looked over at Sweetie Belle who was jumping up and down inside the carriage. I scooted closer to Twilight so I wouldn't get lost in the big crowd in Manehattan harbour.
"Soon Sweetie Belle, soon." Her sister said just to answer her question. We all turned to hear the whistle sound.
"Well, we better get going if we wanna get back to Ponyville in a way other than flying or walking." Pointed out Applejack.
"Yeah, everypony have their passes?" Twilight said into the group the all pulled out their passes, except me, I didn't have mine. "Night Stream, do you have yours?" She asked looking me. I shriveled up when everypony turned their gaze to me.
"N-no, I can't find it." I said looking around.
"Oh, well you all board, all use whatever amount of bits I have to get him and me another ticket." She said and the others nodded and trotted away from us. Twilight looked down at me. "Next time be more careful of your things." She said with a smirk.
I blushed and replied, "Heh, sorry." The huge vessel's whistle blew once more and we knew what that meant, five minutes to board.
"Come on." She said holding me above the crowd with her magic. To my surprise, while she was running, nopony looked up at me. I felt relieved as Twilight had just enough to buy two third class tickets. "Well, at least I can watch over you now." She said once we got the tickets. I felt a slight tingling sensation and everything went black for a second. When I could see, we were next to a startled ticket holder.
We had given him our tickets and proceeded to the third-class rooms. We were trotting downstairs when Twilight started a conversation.
"You know, my friend Applejack's little sister should be up in first class, maybe you'll see her if you go up to the decks." She said as we reached a hallway. At the start of the passage was a room with the numbers 213 on the front. Twilight opened the door and we trotted inside, she closed the door behind me. I looked around and I was truly astonished on what the room had looked like, and I could tell Twilight was too. Usually, when you travel in third-class it's a monstrosity, but this was a luxury. It consisted of four beds, two being bunk beds, a mirror above a desk, and a couch with a fancy lamp on a coffee table next to it. I couldn't help but gasp at the sight, then my thoughts changed, Applejack had a little sister?
I was given permission by Twilight to go the the upper deck, but she gave me a punched first-class ticket so I could sneak around wherever I wanted, as long as I didn't cause trouble. I trotted up the stairs while I was thinking about what her sister had looked like. Was she tall? Was she small? Was she nice? Was she mean? Was she a bully? Did she have a cutie mark?
While I was thinking, I hadn't noticed I stumbled onto the promenade deck. Outside a window I could she Manehattan harbour in the distance, we must've already taken off. I looked at the water below and inhaled the scent of the sea, a salty scent which I liked. I ran through the promenade and out on the bow section on the starboard side. I saw a big crow's nest with two guards inside, there was some transmission wires wires going from the bow's crow's nest to the stern's, but I could see the nest all the way down there. This ship had to be a little under a thousand feet! I trotted up to the bow section and to the very tip of the bow. I looked at the path we were heading in, nothing but water. When I looked behind the ship, nothing but water. I looked ahead of the ship and took one step onto the railing. I have never felt anything like it. The wind blowing in my face, carrying the salty scent, and the swishing of water down below. I could see dolphins following the tip of the ship's bow and I laughed at them. They were trying to race it.
I looked up at the rising sun and shouted out at the top of my lungs, "I'm the king of the world! Wooo!" I smiled at the sight and returned back off the railing. It was a magnificent sight. I could only wonder what the ship had looked like from the side. It might have looked gorgeous out on the blue sea, the sun right behind it.
"Hey Night Stream!" I heard a squeaky voice say from behind me. I waved once I saw Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle run up to me. "Have you seen Apple Bloom anywhere?"
"No, I haven't. What's she look like?"
She winked at Scootaloo and she winked back, "A deep red mane, stylish yellow coat, slim athletic body." She said trying to hold back a smile. That must've been Applejack's sister.
"Nope, but I'll keep a look out for her." I said before trotting to the bench on the side of the ship. I hopped on the bench and examined the ship more. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle followed me and were looking around for their friend. As I examined the deck anchor, I saw something in the corner of my eye. I looked to see a filly earth pony with a deep red mane, all tied up in a bow. She had a nice and slim athletic body, she had golden brown eyes with a hint of orange. Her coat was a beautiful shade of yellow. I stared at her and blushed uncontrollably. I had never seen a filly so... sexy! I was taken from thought when I noticed her looking in my direction. I knew she was uncomfortable that I was staring at her, but that didn't stop me.
"I see you've found her." Said Scootaloo with a smile.
"Yeah, thanks!" They said before running upstairs to their friend. I decided to remain calm and try to let my blush settle. When it didn't, I shook my head and it went away. I was still in disbelief that she was so cute. It made me just wanna hold her a kiss her in my arms, but that would never happen.
After about spending most of the day hanging out with a couple new colts I met, I started for my room. I went down the steerage and searched for room 213. When found it, I opened the door. Twilight was at the desk, writing something. "Welcome back!" She said in a cheerful tone. "Did you see my friend's sister?"
"Yeah, I met her alright." I said with a blissful sigh. Twilight giggled and went back to writing. I yawned as I climbed up into my bed, the top bunk. I almost instantly was pulled into dreamland.
