Backstory - The United Kingdom of Equestria and the Crystal Empire is at war with the Chimeran Alliance, a coalition of nations on the border of Equestria. The two factions have fought off to a bloody stalemate. The front lines have been drawn, revealing a salient where the Chimerans are massing a large force to push towards the capital city, Canterlot.

Within the salient is a village still being held by Equestrian Forces; its name is Ponyvile. But with the onslaught of the Chimeran attack, they would not hold long much longer. Equestrian Ground Forces have tried, but failed to liberate the isolated town. If Ponyville holds on, then the Chimerans will not be able to support their front line troops, but if it falls, they would be able to mass more men to attack Canterlot. The fate of Equestria is on this humble village.

It is up to a special breed of soldier to liberate Ponyville. This is the story of one of those soldiers, who lived in Ponyville, and will liberate it from one direction; Death from Above.
