2 years after the Tirek-incident,
Rainbow Dash goes out to Twilight Sparkle's new library crystal castle to visit her and loan some books there.
When she arrives, she notices it's closed and discovers a note on the door.
"Away, I'll be back soon, sincerely Princess Twilight."
After reading the note, Rainbow Dash sets out to search for Twilight.
She goes to the places of her friends, they have seen Twilight but didn't know where she got to.
After searching high and low, she decides to go to Canterlot to ask Princess Celestia.
When traveling, she notices that everythings calm, too calm and that a lot of flowers are dying and rivers slowly drying up.
When arriving, she sees the castle without it's guards. She goes inside and walks up to the door of the throne room.
Then she sees Shining Armor completely crying and upset running away from the throne room with Princess Cadence following and
giving Rainbow Dash a sad look before departing.
Rainbow goes inside the throne room and sees Princess Celestia going into some sort of portal. Rainbow tries to go into the portal
too, but the portal closes before she got in.
After leaving Canterlot, she goes once again to Ponyville, walking around a bit until she comes across the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Rainbow asks them if they've seen Twilight, they mention about her going into the Everfree forest.
She travels to the forest, reaching the old castle of the regal sisters where she confronts Princess Celestia in the old throne room.
Princess Celestia then opens up a different portal without noticing Rainbow and goes inside. Rainbow follows into the portal and
comes across a large black void with stairs that go endlessly high. She walks up the stairs until she's at the top and meets
Princess Celestia.
There, Celestia demands Rainbow to go back from where she came. Rainbow refuses and demands answers on her questions about
Twilight's whereabouts. Celestia says that Twilight died and her spirit is now passing away.
They begin to fight and Celestia almost defeats Rainbow until the power of the Elements of Harmony return to her transforming her.
They continue the fight and Rainbow wins. With Celestia unconscious, she goes further.
Still in her transformed form, she comes across a large forest of Cherry Blossom trees.
There she meets Princess Luna and Luna explains her that Equestria's ending because of Twilight dying.
Cause Equestria's a dream of Twilight, and that Twilight's waking up from her dream, Equestria going to vanish along with it's residents. And that Twilight's now spending her last hour deeper in the forest. When sundown reaches, Equestria's grand tale will be ended.
Rainbow can't believe what Luna told and calls Luna a liar in her anger.
Rainbow demands to see Twilight but Luna refuses to, and they begin to fight.
Rainbow barely defeats Luna and goes on.
Rainbow arrives in a very colorless world with only black and white being seen and a few falling leaves and slowly sees the sunlight fading away minute by minute.
She is then confronted by Luna and Celestia. in their last efforts to stop Rainbow Dash, they get defeated and they fade away wishing the best of luck to Rainbow.
Some moments later, Rainbow finally confronts Twilight, who's hair color has changed to pure white and purple and is surrounded by
a white glow, indicating that she's dying.
Twilight tells Rainbow that she's sorry for all this and that she's happy of the moments they had together. She's also sorry for not telling them beforehand and that she knew from the beginning that Equestria was just a dream of her.
Rainbow Dash begins to cry a little and demands a final duel with Twilight. Twilight accepts and begins to fight Rainbow in the
last minutes of her dream and Equestria's existence.
Rainbow Dash defeats Twilight and declares herself the eternal winner and Twilight the eternal losing dog. She begins to cry and smile at the same time as she sees Twilight's figure fading away into nothingness.
"It was an awesome time, egghead." She says while everything turns white and dissapears along with Equestria.

7th location: Ponyville Near Fluttershy's Cottage (where she meets the CMC)
8th location: Everfree Forest
9th location: Old Castle of the Celestial Sisters
10th location: Netherworld Stairs (where she battles Celestia)
11th location: Netherworld Cherry Blossom Garden (where she battles Luna)
last location: Edge of Equestria's dream (where she battles Twilight)
